Food was excellent, was amazed by the price and can I just say service by Sean was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make our evening special! Great experience here and will be back very soon

Awful place, purposely waited until after 10:00 to ask for ID to my friends in the rudest manner. Referred to my friend as YOU and pointed at him and told him to leave the premises. Rude when we questioned as to what was wrong with the ID that had been scanned a day prior. Demanded that he LEFT to get a passport which they looked at funny even after all this hassle. Then came out after hiding for 5 minutes to give the ID back with no apology. Disgusting behaviour no service whatsoever just plain rude, probably racially motivated the way he looked at my friends was disgusting. Really disappointed didn’t expect this from here.

What a FAB pub!! Great for lots of reasons: fun and family friendly atmosphere/ generous portion sizes for very affordable prices/ lots of indoors and outside seating/ friendly staff.

Came for dinner with my partner, staff were friendly and accomodating from the moment we walked through the door. My partner had a mega mixed grill which he said was really nice and I had the salmon which was also very nice. Deserts were lovely too, I enjoyed the crumble and my partner liked his banoffee cheese cake. Great value for money, nice atmosphere would definitely recommend and we will be back again. Thank you to Ben and Mollie who were our servers on this occasion, very polite, friendly and professional and couldn't do more to make us feel welcome.

Came for lunch with a few friends and our babies. I have a double buggie which was happily accommodated for. Ben the supervisor for the day was so lovely along side our waitress Mollie and Jade on the bar. Food was amazing so thank you to the kitchen stuff. We left with full tummies and full smiles will come again.

I was here on Friday evening with friends for food and drinks, and I must say I was amazed at how this place has changed for the worse. The general manager looked like she didn't want to even be there; there were only three members of staff working a busy shift the place was a mess They didn't even have cocktail glasses for my drinks; I got them served in a Pepsi glass!! There were staff in the pub that were off duty but had no consideration for there colleagues who were struggling. These staff were also vaping inside the pub when other people were being told they were not allowed to vape. I saw the duty manager (Sam) tell them to stop, but they completely ignored her. I felt like i was in a youth club as there were so many youngsters drinking, being loud and having no consideration for other people in the pub This pub used to be a family-friendly pub, but not any more. The group of youngsters sitting near us were making quite a lot of frequent toilet visits. I think the company needs to get a new manager to bring this pub back to how it once was. i must say one thing though: Sam tried her best with the awful situation and needs to be praised for how hard she was working under pressure I will definitely not be returning its a shame that such a lovely pub has gone down hill from what it once was

What a great place to go out with family or friends, the foods is always amazing and drinks go down very well when all the staff are having a laugh with you.

This great spot to have drinks and the stuff are outstanding and very polite and it’s always warm in there as got heating on good for cold nights Somtimes don’t want to leave.

Very welcoming pub and staff, very accommodating for wheelchair access and seating at table. Good menu and food is always good and as a family we always enjoy it! We’ll be back 😀

Came to the treacle mine for lunch, I had the ribs, which came out very quick , very tender wasn’t dry.. would defiantly come here again, the staff were kind and smiles all round. Highly recommend here for lunch!

Not sure I can agree with Anthony D, Myself and my family found the staff to be very polite, helpful and professional. Food was delicious and served in good time, We also politely, waited to be seated, therefore having a clean and fully prepared table to sit at. Do not let a poorly worded review put you off of visiting, we will all definitely return to the treacle mine pub in the future.

Came in here for New year’s eve, drink prices are good and the staff here are always lovely. I was served by a guy who I think was new, called Kai who was very professional and friendly. The staff are amazing and for being new on a job he knew exactly what to do! Even taking time to tell us what beers they served at the pub. The Treacle Mine is one of my favourite pubs to go to.

I'd stopped going to the treacle mine over the last 2 years as the service hadn't been great but a friend really wanted to go and so I gave in. What a different experience it was this time around! The bar staff were fantastic, we were served by a young man called Kai who was polite, charismatic and extremely helpful. Good service is important to me so it was great to see the treacle mine turning things around by hiring happy,helpful bar staff. Will definitely go back and recommend this pub to others from now on!
