Didn't love it the food was a bit meh Cold sauce for my churros was a bit of a turn off. Katsu Burger was like bairns frozen chicken from Costco, measly pot of Katsu sauce was a bit disappointing

One of the best pet friendly hotels i have stayed in.

My colleague and I stayed when we were visiting a client nearby. The rooms were generally comfy and clean, but my colleague's room was very cold and the bed in my room really needs a new mattress - it has a visible dent on the side nearest the door and I could feel the springs! Access and communication was good.

Lovely room stayed in the king deluxe, very clean and cosy. Lovely big bathroom . All staff made us welcome , the Owner and Michael so helpful and Katie our waitress was so sweet and had a smile each time she came to our table. Large choice of food we had the Torfin burger and Tartan burger and both delicious . Will definitely come again

Enjoyed a gorgeous meal tonight with visitors from Australia. Easy to book table on website, very warm welcome from Manager and waiting staff were attentive and pleasant. Food came quickly and was super tasty especially the pumpkin cheesecake. Decor is beautiful especially in the brasserie which has comfy booth sections. Would highly recommend!

Went for a meal. Food and service were great.

Good quality food in nice surroundings. Strangely the ‘discretionary’ service charge was applied without mention (and therefore option to pay’ , and was also applied to drinks purchased directly at the bar and not through a serving assistant. No problem about paying a service charge but it didn’t appear completely above board and transparent. Come on guys, sort this out.

Last Monday, the burger was on a half-price sale, but now it is said that you have to order a side menu to get only half the burger. Lovely local restaurant 👌

Went here for lunch with my mates, all had the Tartan burger which was delicious and service was fast and friendly. Will be back again sometime and highly recommend.

Waited 40 minutes starter and main course, 2 fish and chips 1 burger and chips, one fish and chips with peas, one starter haggis balls 3off, 2pints lager 2 fanta, £80, chips were extra with burger £3,peas extra £2.50 and to add insult £7.50 service charge, give this place mega swerve

We very much enjoyed our family outing to this dog friendly Edinburgh restaurant. The fish and chips were excellent and there were a few vegetarian options for non meat eaters. I would highly recommmend the cheesecake. My son had the chocolate fondant which looked delicious. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed, mattress springs were coming through, pillows had seen there day, very flat, not giving any support. I expected a higher quality for the price l paid.

Went for breakfast today, we knew they only do breakfast rolls which is fine but the rolls were very dry, cheap streaky bacon, no napkins and a crowd of football fans, loud and swearing drinking lager at 10 am in the morning. So much for a quiet Sunday breakfast, will not be back.

Rooms were nicer than expected, and feared. Rather noisy since we were facing the Corstorphine Rd.

Very nice food, and a decent selection of drinks but pipes could do with a bit of a cleaning more regularly for their draught. Table selection is good if you're eating but if you just want a drink it's very limited and cramped. So overall it's a great place for food, decent for a drink but they're let down with a few simple cleaning tasks and better seating for drinks only.

Watch out if going in large numbers - not the best

Very friendly, they made us feel very comfortable. The shower in the room, just as the man who attended us told us, was wonderful. Very warm, quiet, clean and tasteful. Everything you need to have a pleasant stay.

We received a very warm welcome and the room was really nice and clean. Apart from the mattress everything was perfect. Dinner was also really good. Mike helped us a lot with the buses and gave excellent service.

Went for food, last minute and on the off chance of a table. Great food, one Gluten and dairy free burger and one regular kids burger meal. All hot, fresh made and super tasty! Service was excellent 👌 always loved this place and fabulous at catering for allergies and super fussy kids- a good local establishment 😀

My family and I were staying in the area and found The Torfin for our dinner spot. The staff were friendly and attentive. It was a lovely environment and the location was great. I had the Mac N Cheese and it was one of the best I had in Scotland. The rest of my family enjoyed their selections and we would definitely return.

I stayed here last weekend for the Taylor Swift Concert.. The Room was immaculate and very comfortable. The only regret I had was not booking for longer! The staff were all amazing! And they definately go the extra mile with their Pre Parties!! 🥳👌🤩 Outside BBQ and a Cider in the Sun before the concert was something I didn't know that I needed 😆🤣 I was amazed to find out that they have a menu for your dog!!! Highly recommend 👌👍👏

The Torphin, Corstorphine, the food is really good, equal to other restaurants in the area. Staff are always friendly. I do find it more expensive compared to other restaurants in Edinburgh including the city centre. £12 for a burger and you pay for fries separately, I normally pay £12 or less for a burger and the fries are included. Been in the Torfin a few times and probably would go in more if this wasn't the case as drinks also cost more more than others in the area.

The restaurant is amazing! Impeccable service, smiling waiter, patient, funny, etc. An essential address when you want to eat local but quality, a little away from the center of Edinburgh.

A lovely bar/restaurant in the heart of Corstorphine

Honestly we booked this hotel for the proximity with the airport since we wanted a place close to it before leaving Scotland. One of the best place we went ! Cocktails are delicious! Meals and beers are affordable. The size of that fish and chips ! My god 😁😀 I should add that, the hotel have very cozy rooms and they are very well decorated. Cheers from french tourists. We hope more people will stop by your restaurant / pub.

From the moment you enter The Torfin you are greeted with such a friendly welcome. We went on a Friday night which was so busy but the waiter was so amazing. The staff here are all so lovely and will do their best to find you a table even when they are so busy and always with a smile. We were offered a sofa as all tables were booked, but once a table became free they moved us to a table. The food was delicious and so was the wine. The Torfin has a friendly relaxed atmosphere with excellent food and service. Definitely the best meal out over a four night stay. We will be back!

Came in to the Torfin for a catch-up with a friend, and we enjoyed the coconut and seabass curry (we had the vegan option, which was delicious!). Loved the disaronno sour cocktails, too. Shout out to lovely Ruby for serving us with a smile. We will be back!

Great food, great service and dog friendly! We opted for the two course deal again. The goats cheese starter is amazing, I had fish and chips which was lovely and great portion sizes. Love the new decor, will be back soon!

We always find the service and staff especially Mike very good and attentive . We like bringing our Grandson here. The food is also excellently We all enjoy the haggis parcels to start with. There is a good choice on the menu and the 2 course specials. It's also situated on the main Corstorphine Road.

Family popped in for last minute lunch plans. We were quickly seated and served by Kayley. Pleasant girl with a warm smile talked us through the Easter specials for that day, ended up ordering the Naughty rosey for a cheeky drink.

Went for a meal with colleagues from work. Reading the reviews, thought portions would be bigger and the food great. Bit disappointed with food, it was okay pub food. Wouldn't say it was bad, but wouldn't go back in a hurry

Place been refurbished very nice however was cold obviously no heating on Sitting with scarfs round us Food average my fries were cold Friends curry bland Also very annoying when making cocktails they have blender on bar which is extremely noisy not great when sitting having dinner Staff very nice Wont rush back sadly

Food and service was excellent,as we're the staff,the only downside was it wasn't very warm!

Let me start by saying almost all my reviews are 5 stars. So rating somewhere as a 1 star is very unusual for me. Wife and I went tonight and had booked, which was good as it was v busy, so we had high expectations. We shared a starter that took half an hour to arrive and was cold. Staff were great, took it away and returned really quickly with a hot one, so not too sure why the first one took so long. Then waited ages for our main course and then ages to pay our bill. I'll finish by saying I'm 55 years old, we eat out a reasonable amount and aren't that fussy. But tonight I asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill, which the staff were happy to do. I can't ever recall asking to remove service from a bill before, so a first for me tonight. Such a shame, as what Corstorphine needs is a good restaurant and obviously lots of people rate this place, but I'll get a bus somewhere else next time, as Edinburgh is full of restaurants, so I've no need to return.

Food was good and service friendly if a little slow. The menu is a bit limited but we found something we liked both starter and main course. The portions are generous and two courses had us completely full. We didn't manage desert.

Haven’t been before but always meant to try the Torfin. Dropped it today for a late lunch & between us had the burger with whisky & peppercorn sauce & the quesadilla. Burger was delicious, quesadilla was large for a starter portion, but salsa could have been tastier. Service was very pleasant from young staff. Wine & food prices were good value. Would definitely return.

I took my Mum and Granny in and we enjoyed the half price burgers, who said they were the best gluten free burgers they'd ever had. My Granny enjoyed the cheesecake and can't wait to come back! The staff are always amazing and go above and beyond. Very cosy and dog friendly, highly recommend The Torfin!

Can’t rave about this place enough. We had the roast chicken special and a steak both were outstanding. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough for us! Will have to come back soon and try their Christmas menu.

Me and my girlfriend visited the torfin for their Wednesday night 50% fajitas. All the food was great even my partners vegan ones! All the staff were great! All round a great trip. We cant wait to come back for more

Whatever you guys do do not get a steak 50% of the steak was fat spoke to the management and tbh they really weren’t interested in discounting the steak took around 25 mins to get a drinks order after being seated would defo not go back

Well appointed rooms, a 20 minute bus ride from the city. Not your traditional hotel, very limited hotel services , actually 4 rooms above a very good restaurant. A little pricey though for what you get.

We weren't staying in the hotel but did get drawn in to the upstyle bar while taking a walk.

Popped in for food on a Friday evening, fitted us in without a booking, was in the back restaurant area we were first in but a few more tables filled up the space. Service, was good prompt but not pushy. Decor is decent. Modern clean tidy. food was alrite. Chorizo chicken and lasagne and chips. Halloween cocktail was a nice treat instead of dessert.

We stayed 22nd October for 1 night- our stop off from Preston to Loch Ness. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We are a family of 5 and a large dog, so we booked 2 rooms and brought our daughter (5) a camp bed. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating we would really recommend this pub with rooms. We dined downstairs in the dog friendly area and bought our dog an ice meal and a doggy beer which he loved. The human food and cocktails were also really nice can recommend the sea bass curry the bangers and mash my husband had was excellent also. Room at the front of the hotel was quite noisy as I’m a light sleeper so would recommend earplugs. On the whole 9/10 would love to stay again. Also the small cafe viro a few doors down was excellent for breakfast and. Also dog friendly xxx

Walked in on a Thursday night. The main waiter was just so helpful. He gave us s lovely table. My husband had beef quesadillas to start and fajitas for main. I had sea bass and potatoes. The food , service and price was excellent. Will definitely return when in Edinburgh again .

Have to admit it had been a few months since our last visit but didn’t disappoint, burgers were terrific as usual And dessert’s were to die for my biscoff sundae was just Braw but still light enough after a massive burger.

Great experience with friendly staff and atmosphere. Food was very good and they’re extremely dog friendly, not just dog tolerant.

The food is fine if a bit overpriced for what it is and the bar itself can be very dark. They need bright lightbulbs. Could be doing with changing their menu up a bit every so often too. But a decent local spot and pulls a loyal crowd. Dog friendly too.

Pricey! Fish and chips should include peas. To charge £1.65 (with 10% service) for the equivalent of an eggcup sized portion is ridiculous. I also object to paying service for drinks which are already a hefty price.

Visited here for first time with friends, received a warm welcome. Staff were friendly and attentive, sat in bar area which was lovely and cozy with great booths. Food was beautiful and nicely presented, will definitely be back
