My first time having Korean BBQ, the FOH staff were so friendly and inviting, the food was fantastic! I couldn't stop eating way after when I was full. The drinks were delicious. Nothing was empty for more than a minute before they offered replacements. Really affordable for how much food you get. Would definitely go back

The most authentic and friendly Korean restaurant I’ve ever been! We had beef bulgogi, kimchi stew, and cold noodle. Everything was really tasty and amazing service. Definitely I would come back! Highly recommended.

My partner and I love Korean BBQ so of course we had to seek it out while visiting Edinburgh. Happy to say that this restaurant was just what we had hoped for: phenomenal authentic Korean food with a very friendly staff. We had some bulgogi beef on the BBQ as well as kimchi stew and the cold noodle soup. Everything was fresh and very tasty, and serving sizes were very good for the price. My personal favourite was the cold noodle soup; the noodles had a great bite and the broth had a lovely sweet, savoury and vinegary flavour that paired perfectly with the kimchi stew. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a good place to try Korean BBQ!

Visited this restaurant with my wife on new years eve whilst on holiday in Edinburgh. The restaurant staff are very welcoming and polite. I left my hat in the restaurant when leaving and they kindly phoned me back and kept it aside for me to collect. The food was delicious, we would highly recommend and will certainly be coming back here again when we visit Edinburgh!

With excellent fulfilling food, charismatic and humerous service and a beautifully decorated venue. I cannot recommend Korean BBQ more. Reccomend for all :)

Absolutely wonderful! Owner is a fantastic woman and very welcoming, servers are personable and really make you feel at home. Food is rich, filling, and all in all a perfect place for a good time with friends or family. Highly recommend, worth every pound! (kimchi fried rice is to die for)

It's a proper Korean restaurant, although it's a bit far from the center of the tourist area. It tasted like the food I usually ate during my two-week trip to England. The owner is very kind and helpful in many ways.

The food was very tasty and the staff was friendly. You do smell your clothes afterwards, but that's part of the experience:) We had to wait some time before we could be seated. Also, from my experience in other Korean BBQ places, usually the kimchi is included by default (here it's not).

We had the assorted meat set D. The food and service was amazing. We walked in without reservation but if it is too busy you should secure a table prior. Def an amazing dinner.

I enjoyed it very much. I could feel the sincerity in the food. I don't know if you know that another Chinese-run Korean restaurant (Sunny) uses the same menu. I was shocked after eating bibimbap and beef jerky there... I wonder if this restaurant is related... I'm leaving a comment because I'm concerned. I had a really good meal at Korean BBQ and made good memories, so I saw the same menu at Sunny and thought it would be okay... but then I ended up throwing away my money. Anyway, I had a good meal at Korean BBQ👍🏻

The staff were very friendly I didn’t expect to find good Korean food while traveling in the UK, but my parents were craving it so bad, so we decided to give it a try. The staff made sure to check on us throughout the meal, offering extra banchan (side dishes) and asking if we needed anything else. The Korean female staff was exceptionally friendly 😊.

I will come here with you anytime quietly.”Myself is Korean and I want to say it’s the best restaurant in the UK!!! We will come here again with more friends next time! My Northern Irish friend also said spicy pork was his favorite, saying it was the best he'd ever eaten in his life! I liked the kimchi stew the best. Everything was just delicious. I keep coming back to this place, absolutely love it! Have been to a few of the Korean places around that area and generally in Edinburgh, but this restaurant is the most authentic Korean one in Edinburgh. Great service, cozy inside. Delicious food. Lots of choices. Generous banchan. Good value.

Food is absolutely amazing and such good quality. Was very quiet when we went for lunch but it felt nice and easy-going that way. Very understanding of my husband who has not yet mastered chopsticks too!

Visiting Edinburgh for a short while and I was really craving some kbbq. Although I appeared unannounced, the staff member,Alice, sat me to a table. Food came very soon after I ordered. The bbq comes with radish kimchi, samjang sauce and sesame oil with pepper and salt, and lettuce. I ordered the pork belly and the spicy chicken and I could really taste the freshness of the meat. Service was very attentive by Alice, Juno and Jin. They changed my grill when it was too much fat from the pork belly. Everyone was very lovely. Will definitely come back in my next trip to Edinburgh. As I had too much food, they gave me a take away container to take the leftovers. So nice of them. Overall, atmosphere is very pleasant, on the wall it teaches people how to open the Soju bottle in a korean style, and also how to eat the bbq as a wrap in lettuce. Thank you 😊😊

I ordered the pork belly and kimchi pancake. Both were excellent. Also really enjoyed the plum soju. Though I'm only visiting a short time I'm going to try hard to fit another visit into my trip. Well worth the time spent.

First time in a Korean restaurant. Discovered the homemade SamSanJang and decided to book my holidays to South Korea. This restaurant is really good, the meat was especially well-prepared, perfectly marinated, and not overly salty, with a wide variety of dishes and Korean drinks available. I also drank like a Korean, 100% recommend

We went to a business trip to Edinburgh and wanted to enjoy a Korean bbq in the evening. The food was amazing and the staff was really friendly and even showed us how to drink soju the Korean way. There was nothing to complain about.

Excellent Korean food with a great service. A family owned restaurant with a very friendly staff that makes dining there an authentic experience (including a glimpse into Korean drinking culture). All varieties of meat / sides were there and a broad selection of Korean drinks as well. Especially the meat and the Kimchi were not too salty and marinated on point. We gladly recommend the place to everyone who enjoys Korean food and to those who are curious to learn about it.

We stayed in Edinburgh for a few days and were craving for some Asian food. We came to this restaurant for Korean barbecue. The meat tastes amazing and the portion is really big in general. They even have Korean cold noodles which are rarely available in Korean restaurants in the West (and it tastes very similar to what I had in Seoul before). The only (small) criticism I have is that the kimchi is less impressive compared to the rest of the dishes. That being said, I think anyone who wants to try out Korean food in Edinburgh should give this restaurant a go (and staff here are very responsible and helpful!)

Sorry 😢 I feel a bit awful writing this. So many good reviews- so must be our bad luck on their bad day. The marinated beef short rib. - one or half a short rib sliced bits of leather / tasteless / dry expensive as cost 19.00 pounds for both the rib slices and rice. Chicken Urdon noodle yuk. - husband just finished his short rib slices and said ‘ that was disgusting 🤮’

I enjoyed it so much 5 years ago that my child asked to go again when I stopped by Edinburgh this time. The whole family visited and ate pork bulgogi, soft tofu stew, and soybean paste stew. Pork bulgogi is moderately spicy and soft enough for Koreans to enjoy while traveling abroad. Soft tofu stew contains mussels, squid, and beef, and the red pepper oil makes the soup very rich and moderately spicy, making it a taste that anyone can enjoy without burden. I think they used really good soybean paste for the soybean paste stew. It had snailfish in it and the soybean paste tasted like something my mother made herself, so I enjoyed it very much. Both the hall owner and the kitchen manager were very friendly, so I was very thankful and had a fun trip. I will definitely visit again the next time I stop by Edinburgh. I also recommend it to foreigners who want to experience the taste of Korea. it's the best representative Korean restaurant since I have ever seen before. I strongly recommend this place to Foreigners and Korean visitors.

INCREDIBLE FOOD, service and atmosphere were wonderful as well. The heartiest food I have had in Edinburgh, portions were amazing with great flavor and quality in every dish the service was also great the waitress was kind in providing takeaway boxes as well for packaging leftovers the overall vibe was incredible, not overly lit with welcoming decorations, it was also the best volume for a restaurant I have been to, conversational and not too loud big recommendation for kimchi pancakes, dolsot bibimbap, and spicy pork bulgogi

Attended this restaurant last night, ordered tempura prawns and sweet chilli chicken, prawns were bland and very watery like they were cooked from frozen, the chicken was tiny diced chicken balled up battered and fried, absolutely terrible food and the service wasn’t much better either.

Amazing restaurant!! We went for BBQ option D and all the meat was really tender and the marinated one was delish!! They changed the grill when it became too sticky so that is also very good! Portions are very generous and the service is excellent! 100% coming back when returning to Edinburgh

Went here on a whim with my boyfriend, called up and managed to snag the last table, and I’m very glad we did! Service and food was excellent, especially the kimchi pancake. Reasonably priced, great atmosphere and would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a great meal out.

I love this place. I used to go often when I lived in Edinburgh and it was my first stop when I went back to visit a couple months ago since I was craving Korean BBQ. This time we got a pork and beef option for the meats, japchae - which was unreal 🥹 - and hamuel pajeon, which is always good. This spot never disappoints, the service is lovely, and although you might stink a bit from the bbq fumes, it's all worth it. Truly miss it and wish I could visit it more often. Definitely my favorite Korean in Edinburgh. PLEASE COME OPEN A KOREAN BBQ IN ATHENS 🙏

Everything from the side dishes to the food was delicious, and most of all, I was impressed by the owner’s friendly service👍🏻 When I told them I was traveling from Korea, the kimchi they gave me was very delicious, as it was clean and refreshing in the Seoul style. First time trying Korean BBQ and it was a solid experience. Food was great, service was just as good and I really enjoyed getting to cook my own food on the grill. Will definitely be trying Korean BBQ again, but they’ve set a really high bar for my first time.

We had a wonderful family meal at Korean BBQ. The service was absolute top-notch. We found our servers to be kind, helpful and cheery. The dumplings, beef bul gogi, spicy chicken and jap chae were all so very tasty. As a family (mom, dad and 3 teenage kids) , we really enjoyed grilling the raw meats and creating Korean lettuce wraps. Definitely would come here again. Unlike previous reviews, we were told that the ban chan (sides) were unlimited at no extra charge. We found the food and service to be 5 star!

One of the best hideaway spots in town. The bulgogi is AMAZING. Edit, 8 months later: I still adore this place and come all the time—I’ve become a bit of a regular! I had my birthday dinner here recently, and they went above and beyond to make it special. The staff are so friendly and approachable, and the food is so incredibly tasty—still five stars strong!

As a Korean, I can say this is hands down the best Korean restaurant I've been to abroad. The food is amazing and tastes really just like it would in Korea. I recommend the galbitang, bibimbap and samgyeopsal (pork belly BBQ). The staff members are amazing too. Very professional and kind. Will miss this place! 감사합니다!

Beef sirloin and pork belly are so delicious... The combination of white wine and red wine was surprisingly good, so my companion and I drank 2 bottles! Above all, the owner and staff are so friendly that I want to come again when I come to Edinburgh! We have been regular customers for years, eat out or take away, around twice per month. The food quality has declined and become very salty. But still okay. So we have been holding off in giving a bad review for sometimes now. However recent few take away experiences were very bad. We always order at least 2 portions of bbq meats, and the veggies sides are always free for both eat in and take away. However the previous take away, they “unintentionally” gave us one less veggie side and missed the sauces as well. And the rice was undercooked! And we thought “fine, everyone makes mistakes”, so we give chances and we let that go. But the most recent take away they told us they charge 3.5£ for the veggie sides no matter how many portions of meat you buy. It is quite ridiculous because when you eat in, you get the veggie sides free and can even refill the veggie one time for free. So when you take away, you not using the bbq equipment and all, not able to refill veggie and then they charge extra for veggie???? Even when eat in, the limitation on veggie refills to one time regardless the meat portions you order is quite ridiculous. So imagine if you and friends sit 2 separate tables and order 1 bbq meat per table, you will get 2 refills, 1 per table. Whereas if you all sit together, you got 1 refill. So I would suggest ppl to just split the tables then as the shop is quite small and you will be quite near to your friends. That will be the last time we eat from this shop. There are other Korean bbq in Edinburgh.

The best Korean restaurant in Edinburgh, or in the UK

I've been to many Korean restaurants in the UK and this was by far the best. It was more delicious than the Korean food I ate in Korea. We ate grilled pork belly and seasoned bulgogi, and the quality of the meat was very good, and the kimchi stew was clean and spicy, perfect for our taste (if you're Korean, they made it to suit Korean tastes!). The galbitang was thick and rich. The owner and staff were all friendly. I don't often leave reviews, but this was a place I definitely wanted to leave!

There wasn’t a single thing bad about the restaurant. It is placed in a sketchy location but don’t be deterred couldn’t rate this place enough if I tried great for families too.

We didn't have a reservation, but the waitress managed to squeeze us in. It was my first kbbq, and they were all very lovely! One waitress prepared a mix of beer and soju in the traditional manner and the manager(?) Showed my mum how to eat her food; she even sent us off with a handful of sweets 😁 Wonderful staff and great food. Just beware the toilets are downstairs and it's a small restaurant, so not very -if at all- wheelchair accessible.

I went to this Korean restaurant on the last day of my trip to Edinburgh, and it was so delicious that if I had gone there on the first day, I would have gone here every day. The amount of pork belly is really large, and the soft tofu in particular seems to be more delicious than what you get in Korea. I packed some stir-fried squid to eat as a snack at my accommodation, and it was really delicious. The owner is really kind~~ I'll probably travel to Edinburgh again in the summer, so I'll definitely stop by again then!!

How dare this place be so good? I'm in awe. We had the best time here, everyone is so fast and kind. We had the assortment of meats and it was incredibly delicious. Salads get refilled twice. Rice and kimchi has to be ordered separately but definitely recommend, this kimchi was one of the best I've tried. Amazing Kbbq. Table is a bit small so I recommend ordering bit by bit so that you have space. Food was great tho, really felt authentic like back home :). A great place to bring your friends and family. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We had this Malaysian girl who served us and she was very kind. Offered to put our dishes at another table cuz our table couldn't fit it. She was also very attentive. Great service :D
