Took a group of 30 adults for afternoon tea. Very well organised and a very nice tea. Everyone enjoyed it which is amazing ... not one grumble!. The staff were lovely especially Sarah.

Tuna melt panini, expensive, hard(stale?), filling not tasty. Drinks expensive too. Service in terms of coffee dispensing a tad chaotic and unsure we got what we ordered. Drinks not the best either. Till service friendly.

So my parents ,sister and myself turned up at 1.20pm , we wanted jacket potatoes none in stock .....then we had bacon and sausage sandwiches of which there was just enough to have one of each , these came over cooked and dry , stained cups for our cuppa . This is such an amazing place such a shame its going down hill .

Since recent changes the food offering is limited. But what is provided is reasonable. OK for a quick cuppa and a snack mid walk.

Lovely place, food was good but disorganised and painfully slow service, there were two staff serving and both had no sense of urgency and couldn't have worked slower if they tried. Nobody clearing tables so they ran out of cups and just served in takeout cups instead. 2 long queues, one to buy then another to collect hot drinks, many customers stand in the wrong queue for quite some time before realising. The main queue is so long it's out the door and across the yard, this makes it awkward for staff serving to get to and from the kitchen as you queue in the doorway and then in the way of the kitchen entrance. The whole process needs a re-think. All in all, the drinks were drank 20 minutes before the sandwiches turned up, and a full 40 minutes after paying for them. This on a normal Sunday in October, such a shame as it's a lovely place.

What a lovely place! Great addition to the battlefield for you to grab yourself a drink and a bite to eat! Was recommended it after a friend told me that new management had taken and the place was better than before (as she hadn’t had not the best experience last winter) the choice of cakes and toasties were to die for so we sure decided to take a trip. 1. The range of cakes both vegan and gluten free were exceptional! Nice to see a place so inclusive. They also tasted like heaven! And had a wide selection! 2. The range of hot pastries were to die for! All kept nice and warm and tasted homemade 10000X better than greggs or any other bakers. 3. The coffee was of exceptional quality! We had a couple of lattes and cappuccinos and everyone in our group commented on how nice and hot they were which makes a change from places like costa who make it luke warm. 4. Staff. I’ve seen a few reviews about the staff however on the day we attended I could not fault them. Very polite and chatty and talked us through all the cakes. Lady in the kitchen who brought the food out was very smiley and talkative. I felt if I needed anything they would be happy to help. Honestly lovely little place. Only downfall is there being no food options for the little ones however we just brought one toastie and they shared it so not a major issue just a possible recommendation for the future. Will return again for sure and would recommend to anyone I know! Thank you for having us!

We have been going to Tithe Barn for many years for brunch/lunch. The quality and service from the previous staff was great. I understand theres been a change of management and staff. Since then, its not been great. Were not the only ones with this oplnion. They have stopped serving chips which for a cafe is ridiculous. The quality of the sausages are cheap and nasty. Staff a bit distant and theyve stopped the help yourself to water

We spent they day wandering around the heritage site and popped into the cafe twice. Once for breakfast and then again later on for a little treat before we left. The staff were pleasant and friendly on both occasions and extremely helpful when my daughter couldn't decide what to have. We will definitely be going back.

I have been to the Tithe Barn on several occasions with family and just with my husband. Unfortunately, since the catering staff have recently changed, the food has gone downhill. The breakfasts, which used to be served all day, were some of the best. I haven't been able to try them to compare now as we haven't been there early enough. However, all three sandwiches we have tried, on three separate occasions, have been poor. The sausage sandwich contained poor quality sausages compared to previously. The bacon and egg sandwich had dry bread, bacon that looked like it had been reheated or left a long time on the heat, and the fried egg was overcooked. And lastly, the tuna mayo sandwich was swimming in mayo with very little tuna. We have loved visiting this place as part of our walks, but if this is the standard of food now, we will give it a miss.

We usually come him nearly every other week. There has been two recent occasions we have ordered the Victoria sponge cake. I recently baked some cakes at home and know the difference between cakes a few days old and a cake that’s been sat a good while. Maybe bad baking I don’t know but was like eating sawdust. For one dry cake and an ice cream was over 7 pound!! Plus the week before we were charged wrongly because the girl couldn’t find the price for a scone and got charged more than a cake. No big deal but off putting and puts me off going into the cafe again.

Delicious coffee, as always. As it was so cold we opted to sit inside in the designated dog-friendly area. I realise this is only a new addition to the premises but I would suggest that, maybe until the summer months, you need a larger area. Apart from our dog there were four other dogs inside, two of whom were agitated by the close proximity of the other three. Unfortunately this could result in canine behaviour that could prove unpleasant for the other customers.

After a lovely time around Heritage Centre and walk we fancied a cuppa and cake before heading back home. Really wish we hadn’t bothered, the cake was so dry it turned to dust when cutting, short bread overly rich and sweet and everything served on single-use plates/cups/cutlery. Not great quality for inflated prices.

Lovely Sunday lunch on 25/1/2021. A sign on the door stated there was a restricted menu but still plenty of choice of food and drinks. Service was fast and food piping hot. The soup of the day was tasty and some of the best coleslaw we have had in a long time was served with the salad. The bowl of chips was plentiful for us and nearly a meal in its own right. Will be back again soon.

Whilst sat waiting for our food we noticed a waitress filling the utensils jar with wooden cutlery by holding the ends of the spoons and pushing them into the container. Kind of put us off using the cutlery, so used our fingers. The table was still dirty and we saw the same waitress handling the food, pouring drinks and taking cash with no washing of hands or using gloves (which would be useless anyway). Not sure what they were like pre-pandemic but they’re pretty poor now. The food was at best…. average. The coffee was awful but it saved us from the rain and for that I’m thankful. I do hope it improves as it’s such a good spot. One star off for hygiene, one off for food and the rest is for the location, dog biscuits and friendliness of a staff member called Jane.

Sorry but this was quite possibly the worst meal I've ever paid for. I had hallumi caesar salad, was literally one huge chunk of hallumi on lettuce smothered in acid sauce. For £8.95. My husband had 2 rock hard beefburgers in a non toasted bun without slaw and salad (which should have been included) For £8.95. Grandson had a fish finger sandwich in bread. Nothing g included for £6.¥5. Coffee awful. Only good thing we're doggie sausages.

After a hot and dusty walk around the previously believed site of battle, we were ready for a drink of any kind. Large dispensers were filled with tap water with sliced orange as you walked in - such a lovely find on a very hot June day. Queuing to find a pot of tea, lovely cakes and tray bakes were readily available. We ordered two pots of tea - decaff is available. Having a hungry husband, I asked for a sausage roll, they looked lovely with flaky pastry, almost home made. The sausage roll supplied appeared to be factory produced and very firm around the edges. Expressing my surprise at not being given one from the display cabinet before us, a second assistant became defensive, telling me they were exactly the same... really? A stamper indicated the use of a loyalty card at this restaurant, but the cards were out of print at the time of our visit. No teaspoons were available either, so it was stirring with a fork - not a real problem, but the restaurant was not busy, so where were the teaspoons? That said, the assistant serving us at the beginning of the order was outstanding. Sensibly she asked if one small jug of milk would be enough for us both, i was pleased with this as too often a second jug is given and goes unused. Good value overall, two pots of tea with one large sausage roll was £5.20. The interior of the barn is a delight and triumph with refurbishment. Original parts are clearly different to the modern inserts, but the recent additions have been added faithfully. Seating is extensive inside, with a delightful seating area outside. Perfect for the longer family day out. All at good levels with mobility and location with car park and visitor centre.
