As someone who's drank many a pint of John smiths, in and around Twickenham. Cleanest pint I've had. Nice to see a bit of old school care with the lines and glasses. Lovely place for a pint or 2

First time I've been to this pub in years. I went to big game 16 and was aware of this pub. Staff were polite enough my drink started at £4.75 but went up to £7.10 for a so called big event obviously no doubt trying to maximise making a profit with a big crowd. No complaints at all.

Visited on the 23/08/2023 If your going here for a meal DON’T it’s a waste of time. The timberyard don’t have a kitchen so they have a partnership with the village pizza next door. The village pizza is obviously only good for pizzas. For some reason they cater burgers for the timberyard. I ordered a burger and it was one of the worst I have had in my life. The burger looks nothing like the photos and on the menu it said it would come with caramelised onionns but the onions were raw not caramelised. To make matters worse the burger was so dry and had zero flavour. Also we had to wait a long time for our food, for bad tasting food. The timberyard is only good for drinks and watching the footy. If you want food stay away.

Staff are friendly and on match days its close enough to the ground to pop in for a few beers. Interior is nice with a separate room for pool and large screens to catch sports. Twickenham pubs can get packed, but the Timberyard is a great venue for fans. On match days I noticed food menu's, but haven't tried this yet.

Pub has a nice atmosphere it’s just a pity the staff are so rude. We left a tip on the table half way through the night but ended up pocketing it again before leaving as we did not think the service was worthy of wages, let alone tips. They did not seem to mind that we weren’t satisfied with the service and after spending money there all night, they basically pushed us out of the door. Won’t be back.

This is honestly the worst pub in twickenham! And bearing in mind there’s a weatherspoons just down the road that’s saying something… I’ve heard a few stories about this place but thought it can’t be that bad so decided to go in with my partner and I wish I’d stayed away.. The tall Irish guy with glasses ( I assume the manager ) is so rude!!! My partners told me a few stories of times she and her friends have seen the manager pop up from no where half cut and start arguing with customers! But Saturday night was something else!! There was 2 lads working on the bar all evening, both lovely guys who you couldn’t fault, then the manager appeared late on from no where, stumbling around, going behind the bar blasting music out really loud, you could just see how uncomfortable it made the other employees feel.. I somehow think if the staff did that they’d not have a job anymore. And from the other reviews I’ve seen this isn’t the first sign of any trouble.. It’s a shame because actually the pub has alot of potential and the staff are lovely shows sports, nice selection of beers, just a shame the face of the pub and person left running it is actually the biggest problem. If the owners care about this place they'd change things asap!!

Have visited The Timberyard about 4 times over the past month with friends however we won't be returning. We went in to play pool and whilst waiting sat down and watched the football on the TV. Two of our party bought drinks before the owner came over to check if we had drinks. 5 minutes later one of the junior bar staff came over and told the remaining three of the groups they had to order drinks to stay before leaving. Immediately after this the owner returned telling us to go, accusing us of laughing at her and her staff and that they were not a freehouse and we couldn't use their heat and watch their football (itv). When calmly and patiently asked several times when we had laughed at either she refused to answer just telling us we had to leave.

Used to visit here every weekend as it’s one of my locals. Always a great pub UNTIL I’m guessing the change of ownership. I went last Friday for a few drinks before tier 2 lockdown and can say I’ll never be retuning. I asked to pay for a couple beers on two cards and the man behind the bar( guessing the owner) refused to let me. I told him I’m not paying for my mates drinks again and that I want to pay separate. He responded with “you either pay for the drinks or you’ll be in hospital” I told him to forget his drinks as I was amazed by what was just said. He came over to try play off as he was joking which he clearly wasn’t as he’d been rude all night. Safe to say we left and won’t be coming back.

Nicely designed Cafe Nero, so really nice to sit in for a little while. The staff here need a little more help. There's often only 1 person serving, so people have to wait while the poor person on service is rushing around doing multiple orders + deliveries. Whoever is managing this branch should work on the schedule and ensure they have adequate cover.

Beautiful building and surroundings. Tried to eat sausage roll and spinach roll. Both cold, stodgy and tasteless , with 2 coffees which were very average. £21 later..... Disappointing doesn't begin to explain our feelings 😕. Such a shame as a member of Kew Gardens we've never before felt the need to complain. Must be a captive market and no reason to push the boat out!
