Very nice people and very good food

Food was very overpriced, but because it has always smelt really good from the outside was worth a try. In reality the food was awful. The chicken was not cooked, the chicken tikka masala is more like butter chicken and the naan is extremely dry.

Consistently Excellent. All curries are very tasty and all staff are very cooperative and active. ♥️♥️♥️

The food here is just brilliant! Been getting it for years and never disappointed. They are sometimes late which isn’t great but the food makes up for it.

Absolutely fantastic. We ordered a range if lamb, vegan and vegetarian dishes. Some bold flavour, some nuance. Perfect. We were a little concerned by the other reviews on google and TripAdvisor, but Deliveroo reviews has the right of it: this is on the very highest end of Indian cuisine in the area.

Been ordering from Tiffin tin for years and never fails to delivery. If you’re looking for a dirty curry house style Indian then you might be disappointed as this is generally more refined and better quality. I would describe this as a guilt free Indian takeaway!

Consistently brilliant. The curries are tasty, well prepared and presented. Lots of vegetarian and meat-free options which are all fantastic value and very tasty. My personal favourite is Sunshine Fish Curry - beautifully barbecued lumps of fish in a thick, spicy sauce - heaven! Samosas (both types) are perfectly balanced between crispy, moist and spicy. Pakora is also divine! Naans are incredible - especially when lucky enough to get a super-super fresh one (though they are always good). Delivery to E17 is quick, drivers are friendly. It’s not super cheap, but it’s not generic, rubbish. This is proper food cooked properly. Those who don’t like might be better suited with a less authentic, more “English-style” Indian restaurant.

Solid curry for takeaway. Prices are higher than your average curry house but the food is much better than your average. Really tasty. Definitely worth it.

We have been customers for years but won't be anymore. Over many months now there has been a trend of high prices and smaller portions. The final straw being the last two takeaways coming with less than half a pot of mango chutney when ordering 4 portions of poppadoms!

Very disappointed. We have always loved the quality of the food from Tiffin Tin. Tonight it was mediocre and very small portions in little cardboard pots. Even the rice was in an extra small tin foil box. Poor value for money especially at the moment when take away is a rare treat.

Sadly they have changed, always late and rude customer service.

Friday night, decided a curry and try this place - VERY BUSY but got my order correct and in 20mins. Friendly calm staff despite many order coming through.

They use their own drivers (even if ordered through deliveroo) so no way of tracking the order. It was supposed to arrive an hour ago, I called half an hour ago and was told it would be 10 mins. Absolutely zero customer service/ help. Won’t be using again.

We have eaten here for years, but lately the food is so spicy it is not enjoyable, even a bhuna is insanely hot. It has always been quite expensive but since they added 10% to the price it is really poor value for money. Years ago we ate here every week, but won't bother again. Don't feel like they have ever cared about customer service either. Portion size also pathetic, hardly any meat at all and half empty containers

Took an hour to come. I had to ring twice to get an update. They were untruthful about the status of my order. I got mashed potato samosa instead of the lamb samosas I ordered, sorry I stand corrected there was one pea and one piece of carrot too. Never again don't order from here.

Excellent & very authentic Bangladeshi food. The meat doesn't come with fat dripping & the bread isn't half burnt (like your typical Pakistani curry house). Large variety of equally delicious vegan options. Superb (plastic-free & compostable) packaging too. Top Tip - don't order the Biryani, it's the one completely "foreign" dish they do.

They used to be so reliable, indeed food would often arrive earlier than estimated. But the past few times it’s been 40-60 mins later than promised on the app - so up to 2 hours in total. And of course the food is cold. Still very tasty, but that’s not enough to keep our custom. I feel sad for them, because they’ll start to lose all their loyal customers.

Waited an hour for our food and then had food poisoning for 48 hours. AVOID.

Been getting takeaway from these guys for years and they are consistently excellent. They now appear to have moved away from plastic towards more eco friendly packaging to boot so I thought it was time to stop being lazy and selfish (I don't want everyone ringing them on a Friday night or I'll never get my food) and give them the 5 star review they deserve

Could never understand the low rating this place gets. Lovely fair Indian food that’s way better than your average takeaway, always quite quick to deliver or be ready for pick-up. Would never have a problem recommending this place.

We waited 1hr40 mins for our takeaway to arrive which was diappointing. The food worth the wait although the portion sizes (mains) weren't great. 4 small pieces of chicken in the dhansak which was okay but the sauce was a little looser than you'd expect. Paneer curry and bhajis were a highlight. Also we got poppadoms with our £49 order (for 2) which was appreciated.

Tiffin Tin Wanstead is one of the best indian restaurants! They sell deicious meals such as sekwa murgh kebab and Tandoori mixed grill! I would advise everyone to come to this wonderful Indian restaurant and try out their amazing cuisines! Their Customer service is unbelievable as they listen to customers attentively to provide the best service among customers!

The tiffin tin is one of the best Asian restaurant and I have a great experience for all food especially chicken Currys and tandoori foods. Amazing food and service. Staff are extremely cooporative and make great recommendations.

When we want to eat something different we always have order from Tiffin Tin, and each time, it's been good. The orders have been nicely cooked, clean and arrived within prearranged time.

Had a 10% offer but it wouldn’t work online. I called and they said can do it on the phone. So I placed an order, when they delivered it, they didn’t knock the 10% off. The delivery person called them up and she said ‘no we can’t do it’, I had to argue about it and still never got it. Anyway, it wasn’t that much, just the point of it and the customer service skills were terrible. The food was ok but expensive. The naan bread and paratha were like shop bought, dry and a bit burnt but the lamb was nice. I doubt I’ll order again from there again. There’s better in the area, with bigger portions, good customer service and cheaper.

Food was warm and tasty but took one hour to deliver. It was expensive each main dish alone was £12 , it’s the first and last time i order from here not worth the £33 pounds just to wait one hour and be hungry afterwards. I wouldn’t recommend this place

I'm not one for reviews, but when I saw this had only 3/5, I had to. We ONLY order from here, as all others in the area were disappointing in one way or another. Seriously, unless the place is having an off two weeks or something - we are ordering tonight so I'll let you know :) Portions are ample, food is perfectly seasoned and spicy. Not one complaint after a dozen orders. We love the Rogan Josh, anything with lamb, and the Prawn Biryani. 5/5 from me and the mrs.

Ordered a meal from the Tiffin Tin last night. As a lover of India food, I was tempted to try a new restaurant and seeing some of the reviews online and on personal recommendations- was keen to try the Tiffin Tin, and as a vegetarian they have plenty of options. Disappointed - The food was bland, unseasoned and with no spice - it was not even at the level of a supermarket ready meal. I was looking forward to this but I have to say this was worse curry I have had in years. Always happy to wait for great tasting food- tasty it was not - something is going wrong in the kitchen.

Love Tiffin Tin curries but knocking two stars off: 1 The prices (£9.85 for a vegan curry!) and 2. Slow delivery time (even on a Friday night it shouldn't take an hour and a half for food to arrive).

Glacially slow service and total mismanagement of expectations. Ordered via Deliveroo with an ETA of 1 hour. After over 2hrs of calling multiple times and consistently being told some variation of "15-20 mins" or "yes yes the driver is on the way" (I live a 7 minute drive away) I gave up and cancelled the order. Can only imagine what state the food would have been in, had it eventually ever arrived.

We have ordered 15 times from Tiffin Tin, and each time, it's been good. In all fairness, we stick to the same meals which we love; Tikka Masala, Keema & Peshwari Naan, though we tried the Lamb Biryani on our last order, and it was a bit too spicy and mushy. Other than that, the orders have been nicely cooked, clean and arrived within prearranged time.

Love this place. Massively underrated on here. The Murga Mircha is my personal fave, rich and spicy and good depth of flavour.

Used to be great for years, now it's gone downhill fast, please get your chef to step up and deliver fresh tasty food and not be tight with the portions!

We have been ordering from Tiffin Tin Wanstead for the past seven years, ordering at least once a month and often, weekly. Recently we noticed the quality slipping and tonight we phoned to complain and were met with a “thank you for your feedback, the chef is a top chef who has just started and you shouldn’t be having any problems”. If a regular customer of seven years suddenly complains it should not be dismissed. The Rogan Josh used to have a fresher, “fresh” tomato based flavour, it has now lost that flavour and tastes identical to the Murgh Mirchi sauce. I suspect there is economising by using the same sauce for multiple dishes. We also noticed there has been less meat in the mains and the prices have increased. We have finished our recent orders still feeling hungry (after spending over £50 for two people). It saddens me to complain but when you have been used to a standard for years and it slips dramatically, and at the same time you are expected to pay more, for smaller portions, we have no other option.

Always order from here and it's usually amazing but tonight was a complete joke...everything was stone cold and bland. No flavour or seasoning at all. Chicken soo dry and unseasoned. Worst curry I've had in years. Truly disappointing after spending £40

We have used Tiffin Tin for about 5 months now. In general the food is of superb quality and very well presented. Portions are on the small side but I prefer to sacrifice quantity for quality and the aggregation of points slightly reduces the overall cost. Two dishes disappointed me; the Murgh Shish Kebab and the Tandoori Mixed Grill. The selection of Vegan and Vegetarian food is particularly good. I very much like the fact that ordering on line provides a precise (i.e. within 15 minutes) delivery time. I have to assume that some of the negative reviews are supplied by disgruntled competitors

I used to love Tiffin Tin but unfortunately this will be the last time I order from them. The portion size is tiny for the price you pay and I feel like their boxes have shrunk since I last ordered from them a few months ago. Completely overpriced, which is a shame, but luckily have found a new place that is just as good but not as stingy.

I have just received my first order for the dinner and it cost me almost £50 for a menu of 2 persons, I was so disappointed the food cold, the Biryani looks like leftover, the lamb ghost can't taste of anything rather than very spicy and the worse of all the sauces!!!!!!!! are all sweet, the mint and yoghurt and another one I think they have used sugar instead of salt and I mean it very sweet. Shame as I love Indian food and I have never been disappointed as this evening

No idea how this place has only 3 stars, it's our go-to takeaway. Tried tons of different places and we always prefer Tiffin Tin. It's on the more expensive side, but you get delicious tender meat with no gristle, distinctive sauces that taste totally different from dish to dish and piping hot food. Our faves are the tandoori paneer, chicken biryani, lamb rogan and naan (which lasts 2 people for dinner and lunch the next day). Yum!

So i just placed an order on Sunday for around £30 and it didn't show up for next 2 hour, so when i called the guy said he is waiting for the driver's working time to get over so he doesn't have to come back nd he can go home straight and what i received in return was the soft pastry like rubber in the name of samosa i dont know how old was it and cold food and rice fallen inside the bag and when I called back oops the restaurant time is over nd no one is there to pick, wasted the money on Eid day with the worst service in context of food and delivery with guests waiting and was embarased. Again order is nowhere to be found

Can't believe people actually rated this place good food, this wasn't Indian food. Literally had no spice, qualiy was so bad that that I actually believe the food was purchased from a supermarket as a ready meal and just heated up in microwave as you can tell food was not fresh or made on day. Ordered in total 7 dishes and every single one was disgusting. Indian food supposed to be full of spices and flavorful this is more like eating plain bread.

Absolutely bad service! We try and give them a chance but they always always provide bad delivery service. This time food came almost after 2 hours! And just when you are about to forget about food coming late, the food was all upside down empty in the bag. An hour and a half later than the estimated delivery time and the food hasn't arrived. Won't order again. Update: the food didn't arrive in the end. I was told that I would get a refund in 72 hours (which seems like a long wait for a refund). Update: 72 hours later and I haven't received my refund.

This has become my most fav indian cuisine so far. Specially the murga mirchi is incredible.Love the flavour of the curry.Delivery came within estimated time which is impressed.Will be ordering again and again.

Great food - the onion pakoras were especially good! I would highly recommend. I really liked the packaging that my takeaway came in as well. As some over reviews have said the wait time is a little long (although my food arrived at the estimated time) but it's worth the wait!

Ok. So here is my story: Ordered via deliveroo (expected delivery 1hr), went on Google to check the reviews, freaked out. food arrived 15 min late, but it was hot and delicious. Moral of the story: if you can wait, order it. Otherwise, stick to your average greasy 15min takeout.

After ordering from the Tiffin tin several times before and really enjoying their food, I was very disappointed when my order took over two and half hours to arrive and multiple calls to the Tiffin Tin, who repeatedly told me it was 10 mins away. Needless to say, unfortunately I won't be ordering from here again.

Ordered despite the poor reviews on delivery. Food was not delivered after almost 2 hours. Lied about delivery estimate on each phonecall. Do not waste your time, you will remain hungry.

Had high hopes for this place however we were sadly very disappointed. The food turned up on time which was a small victory but this was soon undone once opening our delivery. The food was stone cold, to the point it would have been warmer coming out of the fridge. Not a great start. Then came the taste, the food was really really bland and there was no distinction between the two dishes. When you then couple this with the astronomical pricing “even accepting London prices” and with tiny portions of food I would look else where for your weekend curry. I don’t know if the ownership has change or new chefs in the kitchen but this place has clearly changed from when it was recommended to us.

A 3 hour wait for delivery! Last night (2nd October) I ordered food at 8:15. The food was originally due at 9:15. When I requested an update at 9:30 I was told it would arrive at 10:00. At 10:25 (55 minutes later) I called the restaurant to be informed that the food was still at the restaurant and would be sent with the next available driver. The food finally arrived at 11:15 Rice cold, curry just about warm enough to stop calling it cold (frustratingly given the service, the food was still excellent). I requested a small refund form the restaurant given the three hour wait and was simply told 'The driver was stuck in heavy traffic'. Such a shame as we love the food but I am unwilling to order from a restaurant that shows such little regard for its customers. I understand that on busy nights, when the weather is bad and traffic is busy, that there are sometimes delays, but to not contact a customer to let them know that there will be a 3 hour wait for their food and then to blame this on bad traffic without an apology when the food is finally delivered is, sadly, unforgivable. We had ordered from here many times before as the food is generally excellent, unfortunately we will not be ordering from them again.

We ordered through JustEat last night. Put the order in at 7:30 with an estimated delivery time of 8:50, which was bad to start with. It didn’t arrive then so we phoned, and phoned, and phoned, but all we got was an engaged tone. By 10:00 we decided we had to eat as still no food and no answer to our calls - over twenty of them. Suddenly the app said the food had been delivered - it hadn’t. Then just as we were going to bed the order turned up at 10:20 - we sent it back. Absolutely shocking service. I’ve been using Tiffin Tin for years and this is probably going to be the last time. Where’s my refund?

Avoid, mediocre food and terrible delivery times! Ordered 7.45pm, scheduled for 9pm, delivered close after almost 3 hours at 10:35pm! No communication. Conveniently couldn't get through to complain or ask for a refund via phone as it is always engaged. Quality of food used to be good, but now is not. Soggy Naan/poppadum, Rogan josh curry contained little meat in a watery sauce.
