Dropped in for a quick drink. The place was busy but the service was good.

Everything a pub should be and more. One of the best pubs I've visited this summer. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Visited here recently for a family birthday and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Super friendly team that were brilliant with the kids. The food was great and our whole party had a great day.

I visited this pub recently and was amazed by the great service and even better food (I highly recommend the fish and chips). My dog, Buddy, loves the easy access to treats behind the bar and water bowl on demand. Very friendly staff and I will definitely be coming again next time Buddy and I are on a walk as he loved the attention.

Stopped in on a dog walk by the river, staff were all very welcoming. Wasn’t planning on eating but the food looked delicious, was very impressed with the Hake Ragu. Highly recommend!

A bit quiet on a Friday evening but the food was good.

Whatever this pub claims, it is NOT a dog-friendly establishment, and the staff will bluntly inform patrons of arbitrary unwritten rules such as: - no dogs by bar area (even if you’re just placing an order) - no dogs on (any) seats - no dogs on your lap or on your coat Just to mention a few. From the moment you enter with a pooch, they make it clear in subtle and not so subtle ways that dogs really aren’t welcomed in this establishment. OK food.

Popped in for lunch, polite friendly staff as always , clean and tidy and l had the most amazing meal, duck hash l think it was called. Will go back again when on the area.

The staff were so accommodating and considerate. We had a lovely afternoon, lovely outdoor garden, cosy sections and great atmosphere. Definitely coming back.

A lovely local pub where you can always be guaranteed a friendly welcome.

It's my first visit. The Yorkshire pudding is crispy and not oily at all. I like the roasted taste of the vegetables. The beef is nice too. The warm sticky toffee pudding is rich. The service is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

My favourite local, amazing team and fabulous food.

It was supposed to be a nice Sunday lunch but I was very disappointed as after my steak arrived I realised it was completely inedible, I couldn't even cut it let alone chew it. We immediately sent it back and they brought out a separate steak pretty much identical to the last. We gave up trying to ask for a different steak so Instead asked for spare roast beef which was much nicer. Other food was nice but Don't ORDER THE STEAK !

Nice pub, a calm place to have a drink and snack over lunch

Good food, a little expensive, but then everything is these days. Not everything on the menu was available. Excellent beers. Very attentive service. Friendly atmosphere. Feels like a place where people can just go for a quiet pint.

Small and friendly pub close to the centre of Teddington and the river. Good beer range and decent food. Small front and rear outdoor seating areas. A much better pub than its huge rival (The Anglers Inn), but without the river frontage.

A excellent public house with beautiful ales and excellent service

We shared the baked brie. It was excellent. Staff are very friendly. Will definitely go again.

Great bar, nice atmosphere and feels like a nice local bar

A solid pub we use for board game evenings. The lighting is a little on the low side but manageable. Available tables are a little on the small side unless your lucky enough to get one of the two large round tables if the pub is busy.

Giving a 5star rating because apart from a lovely, warm and friendly atmosphere and service, a glass of prosecco is £5.85 an absolute delight compared to other local pubs charging between £8-£11...What's not to love!

Good pub grub and a selection of ales. Quite quiet on a Saturday evening but I'd definitely return.

Good warm cosy pub to have a drink in. Despite being a Greene King house a good selection of real ales on tap. I have not eaten here so cannot comment on the food, the beer though was in good condition and had a good chat in pleasant in a nice reasonably priced pub.

This sits in the shadows of The Anglers but I prefer it for its more intimate atmosphere (and more accessible prices)

Traditional Green King pub - set next to the river so great for going for a walk. Food is very good, always served fresh and hot. Service is top notch. Only downside is the atmosphere which is a bit lacking but other than that it's a great pub. Excellent pub quiz on a wednesday.

We had our Christmas party at Tide End yesterday - the food was delicious, it was a really warm and welcoming atmosphere and they catered really well for those with dietary requirements too. Thanks for hosting us so well - would definitely recommend!

Great find, lovely food and normal prices for the area, recommend the Korean burger and the carvery (and the battered halloumi starter)

I am editing the really positive review I left previously, following a disappointing experience a few weeks ago. I booked lunch for my birthday, having had many very positive experiences over the years. This time was different. The person I spoke to on the phone when I tried to book was rude and unhelpful, and made me book online even though I'd told her the number of people who were likely to be coming and it wasn't possible to book online for that many. The roast I had was dry and tasteless, with overcooked beef and undercooked vegetables and potatoes. My partner came in with a birthday cake as a surprise a couple of days before and said to me later that the staff were rude and indifferent about taking it. Fair enough if they didn't want to but they should have said so. When it came to bringing the cake out he said they made this unnecessarily difficult and complicated. This meant it wasn't a surprise. I didn't mind but he was disappointed. By this time we'd run out of our allotted time at the table and had to huddle outside to eat the cake in the cold garden with the smokers. We had to ask them to bring plates and cutlery for the cake, another process that seemed to take ages for no reason, and they brought 5 plates for 8 people. We were told when we arrived that we had a limited time at the table but not when I booked. I don't like this conveyer belt approach , it's not hospitable. We were made to feel unwelcome throughout the process and I don't think it was justified. No one in our party was rude, difficult , unpleasant , loud etc. The staff made it clear they didn't want us so I am sure they will be glad to know that we won't be coming here to eat again.

Went for Sunday lunch which was decent enough. Importantly plenty of roast potatoes! Good service. Didn't book but managed to squeeze us in. Nice pint of Bonkers.

A lovely pub and great food. I want to say great bar staff but we all went up separately and found the bar person, Damien ill informed and condescending. However his behaviour improved after we had taken his name. But we didn't want to spend a lot more in the pub, although we would have liked to as a result of his previous behaviour. And for future reference. I would've needed to go through the Greene King app to generate the code you assumed was on the blue light card as a normal feature. If you had informed me of this, the entire situation would've been avoided.

The pub is tucked away but nice people inside and good drinks

A real shame. We have been here twice before and really enjoyed it. However, the food today was awful. The salad which cost 14.50 was pathetic looking, something I could have thrown together from Tesco for less than £4. It had chewy chicken and was tiny. My partner’s roast wasn’t good. To be fair to the staff, they offered to bulk up the salad, but it was so unappealing I actually didn’t want more of it. Won’t be coming again.

Nice Green King pub. Pleasant pub food.

Great pub with lovely staff and management. The only thing is that their outside area is really uncomfortable. I think the seat cushions were stolen and the brewery just haven’t bothered replacing them. Shame really cause it lets the place down.

Tide End could be a great pub. Service was surly. Worst bland nachos I've ever had - ⁸ nothing like menu description. Hard, uncomfortable, no cushions seating the front terrace. A sad place given its lovely location. Come on someone rescue it!

Chips were a bit greasy but other than that very good.

A lovely find! Friendly service with delightful outdoor seating front and back with fresh flowers everywhere. We had an early supper and the portions and prices were perfect, especially for London! The drinks prices were particularly good and there was a good selection of local beers, not only Greene King. Friendly service and a lovely menu. Highly recommend.

Only 1 person serving at 6.30pm? Long queues..... We left after 1 drink.

If you are looking for an old style pub to eat good pub food then this is the place You put your order in at the bar and the food is served to you in the restaurant area. There is not much parking outside the pub itself so will need to park in next road but even better get a cab there or go there on public transport then if you fancy a small tipple of something with school you can. The staff are lovely.

Popped in here for lunch and the service was amazing! It was pretty busy but all our food came out in good time and tasted great. The staff took great care of us, even our dog got a water bowl without us having to go and ask. 100% recommend this place!!

I didn't get crispy crackling on my pork. And my mum's fish wasn't cooked properly. Chips were out standing.

Nic relaxed atmosphere good selection of draught lager and IPA wine list is ok. Food was great and very good on price. I would easily say you could have a good family meal hear or as couple.

Normally this pub is very good, but have recently experienced the price of the drinks going up considerably from the previous week. I was naturally told that I could go somewhere else if I didn't like it & that the prices were in fact the same. They were not. Where I would normally of had 3 drinks I cut it down to 2, so the pub was missing out!! There was a concert on at Twickenham & have been told that prices do go up with what is on in the area, which if true Greene King should be ashamed of themselves!

Friendly guvnor and customers as well as well kept beer.

Great food and, unlike the pub next door, was peaceful without hundreds of kids running around.

Lovely local pub with friendly staff 28/5/23

This is a lovely pub/restaurant in a great location. We had an issue ordering on the app for food which went to the other Green King Pub in Teddington. When I noticed this I went to the bar and explained what happened. They did their best to contact the other pub but there was no reply. They then said they would honour the order and put it through to the kitchen. I believe they did not have to do this so my wife and I were extremely grateful. The food was good and there was a good selection of wines and beers available and the atmosphere was great. I would like to mention James and Betsy who were very professional and understanding in the order mix up. When next in Teddington we will return, thanks again.

Our second great visit here recently. Came in March after rugby and loved the place so it was an easy choice to return when colleagues first suggested the giant garden next door at the anglers. We made the right choice coming here again, the beer is great and Damon is fantastic. A lovely cosy pub frequented by the charming locals of Teddington. Will always be my first choice in town

We stopped there few times having bike break . Nice staff good 🍺 and chicken wings are delicious after the ride. Will be back.!

Appalling, rude and disrespectful service by the manager last night. Ruined our evening and will not be returning to this pub again. Manager seriously needs to go on a customer service course to learn basic manners and change his attitude whilst dealing with customers. Unhappy to even give this this pub one star.

Nice pub, good location food is nice. Roast dinner unfortunately disappointing! Yorkshire puddings and gravy delicious. Roast potatoes aunt Bessie , wouldn’t have a roast again but other food is nice.

Meeting friends for meal. They waited an hour for service. We stood at the Bar for 25 minutes as slow (perhaps new ?) Barmaid served other people before us. Pub not that full.

A super visit on a very busy day due to rugby at Twickers. Stumbled upon this traditional green king pub and chanced our luck for a table. It was 7.30 on a Saturday evening but the manager was very helpful in finding us some space and worked tirelessly to quench our raging thirsts after walking for miles. Food was great, burgers all round hit the spot and the Guinness was perfect. We felt bad for not tipping the wonderful waitress who was moving at double pace so please pass on our gratitude and any company prizes you may offer. We will look forward to our next visit

Friendly traditional pub, good value sandwiches

Lots of people will aim for the pub next door where you will be sitting among a noise crowd but in my experience I prefer the Tide End Cottage for its quiet and cozy feel - inside and out. The staff is friendly and really welcoming. The food is high quality and authentically English: their fish & chips dish cannot be bettered and I cant wait to try their Sunday roast again.

Excellent service! Smiley, chatty and very welcoming. A great lunch spot for fellow walkers heading towards Bushy Park from the river.

This has become our favourite stopping-off point during walks along the river. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the food is great. It has such a better atmosphere than the Anglers next door; it's the type of place where you want to linger for a bit and have just one more.

Visited the Tide End for family brunch recently. Greeted warmly by the bar staff and served quickly with no fuss. Ordered from the menu and the food arrived quickly well presented and hot. Pleasant lunch and afternoon spent here and will be visiting again.

Great pub in Teddington. We stopped off the bus here from Richmond. Very pretty outdoor space with Rustic tables & chairs. We sat in where the ambience was great. Staff were so friendly. We enjoyed a welcome drink.
