It was ok very interesting place

Very welcoming pub, staff friendly and efficient, service excellent and food very tasty at reasonable prices. So good I went back a 2nd evening. Loved the Wadwoths Swordfish beer 🍺

Bit of football on TV. Plenty of people in bar. Banter chat etc, good food and drink. Pleasant bar staff and good service. Competitive prices for food and good quality. Would definitely go again.

Lovely service and food only had basket meal on night we visited but menu looked good and very reasonable Campsite to the rear

I had a wonderful time at The Three Magpies. Great menu with both traditional and modern choices. I went with traditional, Butcher's Board, as it has been long since I've found a pub offering good traditional Pub Grub. The atmosphere is lovely, clean, and friendly service which was very appreciated.

Had a yummy Sunday lunch. Very nice, staff very friendly. Pavlova delicious 😋

We popped in on our cycle from Bath to Reading. We had an amazing meal. Butchers boards and ham egg and chips. Lovely staff lovely garden and lovely atmosphere. Wish I loved closer as would be a lovely local pub

Four of us and our dog stopped here a couple of times eating on the second occasion. Staff welcoming and attentive. Beer very well kept. Food was excellent. Dog ice cream well received in the heat. Nice big garden with plenty of tables and umbrellas. Great pub!

Absolutely superb. We popped in for dinner. Service is friendly and very quick and the food is probably the best pub food I've ever tasted. The prices are very reasonable. The menu is varied although not particularly extensive. I would highly recommend; you'll not find better.

We camped next door at the Caravan and Camping site, so here was very convenient ! Nice range of Waddies beers (the Swordfish is super) and the Sunday roast was very good, but I have seen bigger with another slice of meat.....

Took my 95 year old mum for a lunchtime treat, and as a memory for her. She had worked there when she left school at about 14/15 years old as a live in chambermaid/waitress. Cycling home once a week to near Lyneham. The fish and chips were delicious, we had the small one which was just the right size for us, but wasn’t tiny. My daughter had the bacon Brie and cranberry sandwich with fries, again delicious. The food was delicious well presented and hot, and reasonably priced. The staff were so friendly and kind to my mum who enjoyed telling them she had worked there all those years ago. I will certainly go again.

Camped behind the pub on it's own site. Ate in the pub a couple of times. Like the other reviews, couldn't fault the service or staff. Excellent. However, re the campsite. The only problem was the facilities. They were neat and clean, but for the gents one toilet, three urinals, two showers (one good). One shower and one toilet in the females. Fortunately it was not busy, but for proper campers (who use tents) maybe some more facilities. Having said that would recommend.

What a great pub, literally 3mins walk from our caravan on the Devizes campsite. Very dog friendly super quick service. If you wish to eat inside, as opposed to the large garden area, make sure to book as it's gets fully booked up at key times. Our food was excellent. Will return again hopefully one day.

Great little gem!! Food was excellent and Shelia our server took great care of us. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is one of the best I’ve ever had.

Quaint pub with a great atmosphere. We first came here because of the beer recommendation and then reserved a table for the next day. The menu is small but nice with some traditional dishes such as baked fish and chips or the beef and Guinness pie, but you can also find burgers and vegetarian dishes. The courteous staff rounds off the visit.

Great little pub serving lovely Sunday roasts for a very reasonable price. The desserts were also great and more than large enough. Recommend a visit.

We were staying at the Camping and Caravanning Site round the corner in Spout Lane. Ideal location, friendly staff and great beer. We sat in the pub garden which appears vast with well spread out tables. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We had a Sunday lunch 24th March which was excellent in fact one of the best in a very long time.

Would like to thank the landlady and bar staff for looking after a coach full of football supporters who broke down and had to wait 4 hours for a replacement bus. Lovely people, thank you very much from Merthyr Town.

Brilliant service, delicious food, lovely staff, really nice ride out there. My mum and dad said they’ve camped there lots of times and they really highly rate it - I’m going to book a table for my son and I got a Sunday roast and ride over there soon! I had a really nice lasagne! I couldn’t find any photos other than of my bike lol

We stayed at the onsite campgrounds for three nights in mid February while we explored Salisbury by motorcycle. Site and amenities were ideal. Food was at the pub was great. Very friendly and informative throughout booking experience. Thanks!

We stayed just down the road so stopped off for a drink and dinner. Two lovely fires gave the pub a cosy welcoming atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and the food was good pub food. Lots of parking is available and there is a very big garden with play equipment for the kids. We went in January so stayed inside. They also offer camping in the back garden

Have gone to this pub several times now and every time have been met with friendly staff, great service excellent Sunday roast.. Great outside sitting area large parking area .. Only thing I would advise is if you want to sit inside you should really book ahead because it can be very busy during the summer.. Probably the best food in the local area..

They're closed for a couple of weeks - a bit annoying when you walkd the 4 miles from Devizes because it says they're open! The good news is I've walked another mile to the Barge and it lovely in here.

Wow ! We booked for the Christmas meal (starter and mains ) It was excellent ,hot ,tasty and plenty of it.The table was set lovely with that extra touch of a nice Christmas cracker each . I had a sunday lunch here with my daughter and her partner and it was amazing, The best pub roast i have ever had and the staff were really nice and friendly , i will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.

We meet up as a group of ladies in the campsite nextdoor and we always eat in the pub. One of our group was late but they were so kind and accommodating. Always friendly and never had a bad meal. We will be back.

We areon the campsite next-door. First time we have been to the Three Magpies, the food was superb and a good menu to choose from. Service and atmosphere was excellent. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be back next time we return to Devizes campsite.

Average pub menu. Nothing to really wow the palette

Visited for lunch and very disappointed with the menu selection as dishes consisted of unusual combinations of produce. No atmosphere and those stood at the bar almost overlooked our table. They are obviously trying to be a bit different to the norm but it doesn't work.

We’re staying at the campsite next door and went for dinner at The Three Magpies yesterday evening. The atmosphere was friendly and warming and both of our meals were really lovely. The staff were very attentive, continually checking that everything was ok. In fact we enjoyed the evening so much that we are going back for dinner again today 😁

What a great find and they fit 4 of us in at 3 when kitchen closes on Sunday. Food was worthy of a last supper ?! So nice

Stayed at the camping and caravan club site just behind the pub on a last-minute weekend away in October. This was a lovely surprising find, popped in for a drink with our dog, lovely atmosphere and really friendly staff. Both us and the dog made to feel very welcomed. Not surprisingly they were all booked up for dinner so we sat at the bar with our pork scratching the lady behind the bar came back to us to let us know they had a cancellation so they could seat us for dinner. Food was amazing had pate to start, chicken and leek pie for main. Lots of filling nice and creamy, pastry crispy, mash creamy and gravy nice and thick 😋 just how I like it. Also provided board games to play. I was gutted we had to leave early Sunday morning so couldn't go back to try the Sunday lunch. Would definitely go back to the area to visit here again. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Very warm & welcoming. We ate for 3 consecutive days as staying at the nearby C & C Club site. Service was excellent. We had a basket meal on the first night because we arrived before the evening menu .. sausage & chips in a basket which was very good. We then booked a table for the following 2 nights for an evening meal. I had a burger & Hubby had fish & chips which was excellent. The next evening we both went for Beef pie in red wine with veg which was superb & We would highly recommend. Staff were very friendly, service was great & we would definitely eat there again.

All credit to the Three Magpies. We were a family of twenty three coming together ( from many places over two hours travel) for the first time in many years for a social which was simply that and not a funeral or wedding. Wow, was it worth it. The pub were amazing. They gave us a separate dining area, lovely dedicated staff and excellent food at a good price. They basically ‘sorted it’ in a supportive and lovely way allowing the family to catch up and have a great time.(including children of various ages) The staff were kind enough to say we are welcome to return. Highly recommended.

We stopped in the pubs campsite for an overnight stay, good facilities with easy access. Disappointed with pub, not as good as we remember,all a bit tired. They still do a good Wadsworth 6x

The pub staff and food is outstanding. the menu is down to earth real food, the music in the background is very pleasant. I live in Dorset i wish I could take this pub and staff back to Dorset with me xx

Great food great service reasonable pri

This is one of the best village pubs around. The food is first class. Steaks are exceptional and the pies are fresh with delicious pastry. Ideally situated for canal visitors and for camping and caravanning folk from the nearby site. The pub actually has it's own caravan pitches to the rear which we will try next time we come back.

Been many years since I was here and its very good

I was on a caravan rally and stayed in the field behind the Three Magpies for a week. The food was nice and the staff were lovely and friendly. You could eat in the garden or inside if they had the room. Rally field toilet and showers spotlessly clean and they have a separate facility for the disabled. I have only one criticism and that the grass on the field was much too long.

Great food and drink at a reasonable price. Good selection of beers/cider. Staff excellent. Most of the menu is available Gluten Free

Superb pub. It was extremely busy when we arrived and was told there would be a delay due to the kitchen being so busy. Despite this the staff where polite and attentive. Showing us to our pre booked table and bringing our drinks. We ordered and waited. I was surprised at the speed of the service and we had our meal after a short wait maybe 15 minutes or so. The food was excellent. I cant fault this place. We also had our dog which was another bonus for us. 10 out of 10.

Stopped off at this place for a beer and a bite to eat. Really nice place and nice food. Don’t usually leave reviews but they deserved it.

What a beautiful pub and lovely campsite! We are visiting for a few days in our van and just had the most amazing lunch in the pub. Sarah and Paul were extremely accommodating and couldn’t have done anything more for us. We will definitely be recommending and returning very soon. Thankyou Team Three Magpies

On a busy night, service was understandably slow, however the food when it came was outstanding. Chicken liver pate with warm ciabatta and an incredible chutney! Battered fish and chips, sausage and mash. We dined outside in the garden because every table inside was reserved, which speaks volumes. Thoroughly recommended.
