One of the best pub lunch experiences I have had. A welcoming bar with friendly staff and an eclectic mix of signs and 'things' got our visit off to a good start. The food was great. I had chilli nachos which had just the right amount of heat with a good dollop of sour cream on the side. My son asked for the biggest thing on the menu, and they didn't disappoint with the rack of ribs that struggled to fit on the plate. My brother choose the stew and dumplings. Two lovely fluffy rosemary dumplings with tasty stew and new potatoes kept him happy. They both felt that they couldn't resist the mars cheesecake, but I opted for a black coffee which was strong and hot and served in a good sized mug. I did get to taste the cheesecake though. I cannot find the words to describe its creamy wonderfulness. It was absolutely delicious. Would we go there again? You bet!

Been twice recently for lunch. On neither occasion was it busy, and though service was efficient, friendly and quick, it took an age to get the food from the kitchen. 35 minutes for a pizza, for example. Nice food, once it came, but don’t go here if you’re short of time.

With so many chains ripping old pubs apart to make them ‘trendy’, it’s a delight to find one that has the owners mark on it. It’s been done with dedication and pride and the service and food totally go along with that feeling. Even though it was a quiet lunch time when we went, it had really atmosphere and you could ‘feel’ how it would be when busy. Don’t let it change, we aren’t local but will definitely return when in the area.

Great Sunday Roast Lunch. Big portion of meat. But a couple of gripes. The cauliflower cheese isn’t very cheesy, and has far too many stalks, so it’s not good. Also, the various sauces need labels. Other than that, a great carvery.

Went for Sunday lunch. Probably the worst carvery I've had, the potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were definitely frozen and all was extremely bland. Only veg was carrots and peas. Some of the pub decor feels in bad taste. Staff were friendly.

Came on Wednesday evening (today) for my son's 7th birthday. We booked a table for 6 and was quiet when we arrived but filled up quite quickly and was a good atmosphere, not too busy but not dead. We got drinks at the bar before ordering our food which was all good and reasonably priced. My partner and son shared a pizza, I myself had fish pie special, my gran and mum had jacket potatoes and my step dad had scampi. All off the food was lovely, very well cooked and plenty of it and very fast service (less than half an hour for the meals to arrive). Not much else I can say other than we were all very impressed, especially with the value for money and great service. Me and my partner and son live locally but my parents were coming down to visit and safe to say we all want to visit again. Thanks a lot for a great time for all and will hopefully see you again soon.

Sunday lunch to celebrate my wife’ birthday. Bit of a mixup on arrival as they had mislaid our reservation but made up for it with the quality of the food which is still excellent. Good service and lovely desserts. The alterations inside haven’t upset the decor or ambience. Most of the key nicnacs appeared to be there. My wife was very pleased to see the tiger still there. Please don’t alter it any more though.

Having visited a few years ago, long wanted to return and the opportunity arose after a golf match just down the road. After lauding the praises of this pub, on entering was utterly dismalyed to see that 90% of the memorbilia (as can be seen in the phots) has gone, just a few nick nacks still there. After eventually being served with an OK Holsworthy Ale, and asking about food we we told that food not available until 6.00pm (it being 5.25pm) - We did in fact see an extremely bland looking pizza go past, so we decided to go elsewhere. Being the end of a very hot day in June, the wait for drinks service was accepted as the bar person was doing her best and did in fact keep smiling, it was I suspect just a lack of staff being the problem. However, the mystique of this pub has gone, its just another "just same, just same", and the many pictiures as seen on the images on tripadvisor are now just history - such a shame - has ownership changed I wonder?

We'd seen the Three Pigs during the day so booked and returned for an evening meal. Inside was much larger than it looks from the outside, and the walls and ceilings covered in memorabelia. However, rather than a warm welcome we had to attract attention. Anyway, we were shown a table and given menus, asking what the pe of the day was ... the waitress had no idea and had to ask!! We decided on Pizza's which when they came looked like cheap supermarket pizza's. We ate up, paid for the pizza's and left not wishing to risk drinks or a desert.

A lovely pub to spend a relaxing few hours. We visited mid week and had a few drinks and then a late lunch. Food is very good and excellent value as are the drinks. The pub has a quirky feel without being over the top. Staff are welcoming and friendly with a special mention for Maddie. Will definitely return next time we are in the area.

We visited thus pub for a valentines fixed menu, which was very good. Lovely place.. however, terrible ladies toilets. 2 x very small cubicles, no toilet paper, one cubicle door doesn’t shut so you have to sit with your foot up against the door. The hand dryer barely works and for a busy pub are not adequate.

Brilliantly cooked Sunday carvery. Everything was perfect, tender meat, crispy roast potatoes, good selection of vegetables, yummy gravy! Perfect! Lovely chef and really nice staff too.

We just went for an amazing Christmas dinner, the first time we all went out rather than cooking it at home. Definitely couldn't recommend it enough, the food was very good and the service was even better. All staff were friendly and explained the set up well but a special thank you to the chef who was very welcoming and friendly.

Was recommend to come here…. Very disappointed with one meal. My husband had a burger with extra jd sauce as a. Main and he was over the moon! I had a southern fried Caesar salad was horrid … sorry no other words! Brought in chicken … mayo or brought dressing which made thing sickly and iceberg lettuce!! Loads of ice burg… !couldn’t eat it ! Told the waitress! The cherry pie was raw :( our favourite …. So on paying thought the salad would be compensated … nope 👎. Burgers are home made, chef's pie is packed with succulent meat, kids meals are the same quality as adults, but perfect for littlens. Kids were quiet for 30 minutes. I couldn't have asked for more. Good value. Will definitely come again!

Taken to the 3 Little Pids for my Birthday lunch by my sons the food was excellentand the staff very pleasant, would highly recomrnd.

We held our winter lunch here today (only 16 due to winter illnesses). The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. The table was booked for 1.00 and serving started at 1.05. We had a good choice of meets (beef, lamb, ham and turkey) and a wide selection of vegetables. Everything was really tasty (not a complaint from any of us!) with very ample helpings. After the main course some of us had room for dessert which were served at the table from a very varied menu. At £10 for the main and £3.50 dessert you can't go wrong!

The Pigs is always good to visit, we have friends who come to Crediton from Exeter just to drink here. the food is good, the pizzas in particular.

Went in for the £10 lunch meal deal with the other half on a Monday off work. 8oz rump steak, medium rare, fabulously juicy, done to perfection and you can really taste the smokiness from the chargrilling. Not soggy fries, also came with a dressed salad and thick slices of ripe tomatoes. And a pint to go along with. Great value!Lovely interior decor, and friendly staff.

Didn’t have anything to eat but the charm and quirkinesses took us in, Lovely to be served by a happy chippy and seriously you need to see experience the amazing atmosphere. Lovely coffee atop and if we were here longer or by this way again we’ll partake of the delicious looking and smelling fayre.

We have eaten here about 5 times over the last few years, on our visits to friends in Crediton. We have now relocated to near Crediton and recently popped in for a dinner with friends and the experience was not as good as previous. The food was OK but the service was lacking somewhat. This is not to say we won’t visit again. This is an interesting pub/restaurant, ‘chocka-block’ with every possible bits and pice hanging from the ceilings and on the walls.... Plus stacks of plants outside...

Went in with a group looking for somewhere for Dinner. The two young ladies in charge were very pleasant and welcoming. We had a very good evening with good food and drink. As has already been said the walls are covered with a huge variety of stuff which is really interesting. If I was down that way I would definitely eat there again.

The interior of the pub and restaurant areas are full of quirky and interesting items hanging from the walls and ceilings. We went for lunch and we both had a meal which included a pint of beer/cider for £10 each. I had homemade burger chips onion rings and coleslaw, my wife had vegetable lasagne. We both agreed the lunches were excellent and promised ourselves another visit one evening to sample their more extensive evening menu (fish pie sounds good)

This is a very interesting Pub / Freehouse - well run with a nice realxed feel about it . Everytime I go in this Inn I think i'm in my own lounge / home. chilled and comfortable.

We had an evening meal there last weekend with friends and family and I have to say I had the best "chicken and ham hock" pie I've ever had.....superb and very good value when compared to other similar places I've been. Having lived in Crediton for 20 years, I’m left shocked and upset from the unbelievable and frankly, unpleasant, abuse directed at me and my girlfriends after a meal in the Three Little Pigs. The owner, who had been sitting at the bar all night (and clearly very drunk), decided to approach our table. After several minutes of embarrassing and drunken chat, he finally left... much to our relief. Unfortunately, he decided to come back. This time, I asked if he could give us a few minutes as we were having a private conversation. He took offence to this and stormed off. When we came to pay our bill, he told us to get out of his pub and to never come back. He was very aggressive and he proceeded to shout a tirade of profanities at us ... it was shocking and unbelievable. We did leave very quickly and felt very scared by his angry and abusive behaviour. I will not be setting foot in this pub again and neither will my girlfriends. As local ladies, we will also be telling all our friends, family and colleagues to do the same.

We have used this pub for around 30 years. Although havent been for a little while. Usually 6 people book a table in the bar and have the meal deal which is always good. Phoned and booked a table on 20th July in the bar for 4 for 7pm. I left my phone number. When we arrived a nice young lady said she had to put us in the restaurant as the bar was fully booked. I queried if we could still have the meal deal and was assured this was ok. She returned we thought to take our order, but she said we could only have the a la carte as our table was in the restaurant and the manager had refused to let us have the mieal deal. I explained that I had requested a table in the bar and had left my telephone number so if they could not seat us they could have telephoned. We were annoyed and said that we would leave as objected to being forced to have the more expensive menu. As we left we spoke to the manager and said we were frequent customers and disappointed at his attitude and we would not be returning. As we got to the door he shouted out very loudly "Don't come back" I think they should consider changing the name of the pub to THÈ 4 LÌTTLE PIGS.

Good portions, often three meat choices. Beef cooked medium rare, which is how it should be. Always freshly cooked, and replenished regularly. The gravy really makes it, a firm favourite in our family.

Visited on a Sunday and had a carvery dinner which was average with a choice of 3 meats , the place could do with a good dust , unfortunately it's still has its Christmas decorations up in July 😂🤣

A very quirky little pub with a relaxed attitude and loads of nik naks to look at. Food was average at best.

Popped in for meet up before going on elsewhere. There were 4 handpull ales. The Tribute was stale and flat. The guest ale that I tried was equally flat and poorly served. Had we stayed for food I would have been equally disappointed as the drink is part of the meal. As to the quality of food I'm glad they didn't get my patronage.

The Three Little Pigs has some amazing decor! Some may call it clutter, others would call it a collection of curios! Great food! It's worth going between 6pm and 8pm as there is a good meal deal in action!

Having lived in Crediton for 2 years I'd certainly say that this pub is probably our favourite!

Visited with friends on market day. Midday meal was booked, which apparently is a must. The outside is a mass of plants and inside you have to see for yourself, my description wouldn't do it justice. Ordered drinks at the bar, a big selection. Nice menu and the food was plentiful and hot. A good day out. Very friendly staff.

This is a genuinely good carvery. Carverys can be awful, with over cooked veg and dry meat, but not so at the Pigs. Just right. Everything.

Disappointing food. I’d recommend steering clear of the Guiness steak and Stilton pie - it was incredibly dry!

Six of us went for a family birthday, we were asked to have a booking for 1:30 as busy other times, we arrived had a drink and went to get carvery. Was very disappointed as no beef left, tiny bit of Turkey and a very small amount of ham. I had to go and find a member of staff to be served, I asked if there was any more meat as there was not enough to feed six people on the servers, I will see came the response, came back with some turkey, no beef, no more gammon, no cauliflower cheese, potatoes were cold only three girlies left, the member of staff didn't seem that bothered, that's all we got. If you are going to ask customers to come in later, then surely you should makes sure it's hot and that you have enough food. Staff asked when clearing the plates if everything was ok? I replied not really and they just walked away. Why ask then? Desert. we asked what flavour ice creams they had, chose one, surprise, surprise came back sorry haven't got any. Disappointed again. So make sure you get there early, that way you may get a nice meal

We came across this wonderful pub by accident, as we'd just parked the car, as it happens, very close. It looked great but we were there to look at the town before eating.

Went 6 of us for the Calvary on a Sunday you do need a reservation though we had for 12 and it filled up quickly.

Taken out for a treat but food was disappointing. Quite liked the eclectic surroundings and the jolly crowd but soggy chips and a tiny steak with a fair amount of gristle in it were not on. Have given three stars rather than two because my friend enjoyed their fish.

Excellent value for money, generous portions, well cooked food, efficient service. Sweets were also large in size,but a little too sugary. The venue is obviously very popular, as there were many many local families there. Well worth a return visit.

Came here for a meal with friends as hadn’t been here for a while, had a very nice steak pie, unfortunately found a long hair in my pie, when I mentioned it to a member of staff they just shrugged it off with no apology or offer of any sort of re embursment, then saw a lady behind the bar with a chef type black top on , her hair was pinned back but was still messy and uncontrolled with no hair net.not sure if I will return.

Came in a week ago on a Friday night as staying at a nearby B and B for the night and wanted to pop out for pudding, Googled kid friendly pubs and this one appeared. Went in with our 5 and 8 year old. Luckily there was a free table for in the restaurant. Kids loved all the quirky interesting things to look at. We all had a pudding and a drink and staff were lovely! Great place

Food was very good enjoyed it. We were told it would take 30 mins but it was 50 mins when it was served. The down side was all the things hanging from the ceiling and all around which were very dusty. Off putting. Girl who served us was very good. Won’t be going back. Sorry

Thursday 23rd August my daughter and I went in for a drink early evening. A great venue if out with someone for the first time. It is chocker with loads of bricabrac so one can never be at a loss for something to say or comment about. Great for keeping kids amused with I Spy!! Staff very friendly. Great atmosphere.

Wow. What an interesting pub. So much to look at. And I mean it's covered in old antiques and just wow.. Beautifully home cooked food and the white chocolate rocky road cake was another wow

Heard about The Three Little Pigs, and returning home early evening was an ideal opportunity to try it out. Quirky isn't the word, but it's great; lovely atmosphere. Although we only had drinks, the service behind the bar was good and friendly. The cost of the drinks reasonable for this day and age in the UK - not the rip-off one often experiences. Got chatting to a couple of locals and asked about the food which they described as "good pub grub", suggesting at the upper range of your average pub, ie not bistro pub. Nice outlook onto the large, historic Crediton Square with various parking places round about. Limited outdoor seating. We'll be back for a meal before long.

We visited this pub on a Sunday evening just for a drink but stayed to sample the cheese board. It's an interesting place - full of clutter and memorabilia and not particularly to our taste but it is situated overlooking the market square and on a nice evening would be a good place to pass the time and watch the world go by.

Came here for the second time, visiting the area. Ordered the Camembert again, which was lovely. Enjoyed looking at all the decor!

Was recommended this place by a colleague while covering at a local pub and he said food was good here, he wasn't wrong, the place was quirky and quite wonderful. My steak was slightly over done but as I'm not that pretentious I gave it a go. It was tender juicy and so full of flavour. This people is why even if you think something is not done to your liking give it a go. When visiting next will definitely try again. Amazing place.

Despite my last review we went for a evening meal. Menu variety much improved with lovely different specials available. What a pleasant change from the pub bog standard of Creedy duck and slow cooked pork belly. I swear if I see these on another pub menu, I will scream!

Visited here for my husband's surprise birthday meal. 18 of us and the staff could not of been more helpful food came out well presented and with a smile, with a couple of fussy people with us even they was very happy and well catered for everything was well presented and yummy will 100% be back. First time here and have to say was rather impressed. The food was amazing and the time from ordering to table was great. Ample space around the table and staff quick serving. Parking good. The downside to this was we had been seated near a closed area by a curtain which staff kept going through to what must have had a door there as the cold came in and left us rather cold.. Whilst ordering we asked if we could pay separately as there was a large group of us!!! Only to be told when we went to pay! No! And we had to pay one whole bill which I found ridiculous the member of staff said there is a cash machine next door and we had to get the money out.. Maybe a good all round staff discussion would be good as to how and what methods you empty when it comes to matters of payment!! Sad really as I liked this place by t won't return because of this and the rudeness from said staff member!
