Just received a parking fine and I’m absolutely fuming. The staff should check with you on arrival or have an obvious sign up inside! I didn’t see the sign saying you had to give your reg to the bar and no-one asked for it. I spent money in this pub too.

Very good music, fast service even when busy and good deals on drinks (e.g 2 kopparbergs for £9)

Food was decent 12 quid for 2 meals, smallish portions but quite tasty, smelled not very nice inside toilet type smell, staff was very good and friendly.

Great experience dining here! Amazing fresh food at amazing value! Cannot ask for more!!

Fantastic sunday dinners are now been served here. Also during the week days they have a great menu. And on a Saturday night you can have some fun singing on the karoake. Great atmosphere.

First time visiting the pub an let me start by saying this I’ve spent many years in this industry an the chef is wasted in this place.. the food was spot on first class and plenty of it. The service however has plenty off room for improvement I asked for a drink that seemed to of never been heard off once we had seated ourselves at our table we had to guess was ours we was greeted with a sticky table food on the floor an dirty cutlery. The waiting staff an barmaids seem to be running round doing a lot but leave you sat waiting for condiments that you have to ask for 3 times, for you to then get told they forgot about you. There was no tissues in either of the toilets aswell. If you look past all of this an don’t mind rude staff that don’t have a clue.. I would visit the place again if only to offer the chef a position in a kitchen that I feel he’s worthy off.

This was the second stop on the Otley Run and it was very, very crowded. It took a while to order drinks, and then we somehow managed to get seats. We didn't stay for long but watched the live sport they were showing. I agree with the review about the plastic cups, which seems wasteful, but then again it was so crowded that one potential broken glass would seem very dangerous. Then again - it's the second stop on the bar crawl so there wasn't much rowdy behaviour.

The place was fine. I'm definitely not the clientele they're aiming to attract. I thought it had a smell of urinal cakes. Not the most welcoming smell. Not the most varied selection of beer.

*PART OF THE OTLEY RUN* Really loved this pub, only problem was it took about half an hour to get a drink! Wouldn’t recommend going on Saturday. Spacious, lots of seats, and I believe a pool table!

I contacted the manager before hand to ask if they could pop some balloons up for a birthday party group and it wasn't a problem which was really nice. When we arrived the table was reserved and set up for us. The venue is tastefully decorated and has a warm feel, the staff are great and really helpful. Very good drinks offers and reasonable prices. Definitely recommend a visit, especially on a Friday (when we went) for the live band.

Ploughs through excessive amounts of plastic cups just to avoid smashed glasses every now and again. When I asked them about it they said ‘we don’t send to landfill’, this still doesn’t change they are using countless amounts of single use plastic. Isn’t glasses being smashed just a inconvinient but normal thing that comes with running a bar? There are also good quality reusable plastic cups on the market that many clubs use instead of glass, but three horse obviously isn’t bothered about their negative impact on the planet. Below picture was taken at about 5pm on a Saturday, if this has built up in the short time how much are they using a monthly basis? Ridiculous! And on your way to the toilets you pass a certain point and are hit with a stench of pee, gross. Never mind drinking in here, I definitely wouldnt be eating either!

Solid pub, carnage on a Saturday with the students and the Otley run! Definitely a lot of fun. Decent beers on tap and a good amount of seating. Can't comment on the food but I'd go back if I'm in the area.

When the cricket is on down the road, you would think that a pub would stock up on essentials but not this one. No vodka ! even though we doubled the clientele on entering the music was booming out. A huge bucket of fag ends on the entrance steps doesn't give a good impression

Friendly staff with a good sense of humour. Good quick service provided. You can order on line. Perfect place to stop after a day at the Cricket at Headingley.

Great pub for the football, lovely staff

First time I’ve been in a pub since July 2020 visiting the area for my 62nd birthday and really looking fwd to the night. Booked a table at a nearby restaurant and popped into the Three Horseshoes for pre dinner drinks. I should have known better when I had to circumvent a young male sitting on the entrance steps in front of the open door smoking a cigarette !!!! However we were met by a dark haired girl , pleasant enough who showed us to a table outside in what can best be described as a car park . There were probably 20/25 persons outside most of whom were extremely drunk and loud but by their conversation were waiting for a taxi, one of the lads even asked his friend to move in order that me and my wife could have a table. As a man who has been drinking in pubs for 45 years in and around Newcastle this posed no problems to either myself or my wife . I eventually placed an order for a pint of strongbow and a large glass of Sauvignon blanc . The dark haired girl mentioned earlier brought the drinks to the table and almost apologetically said I’m sorry but we’ve no wine glasses !!!! I said well I’m sorry but I’m not paying probably in excess of £7 for a glass of wine in a 1/2 pint pot.!!!! My intention was to ask for a 1/2 of lager but before i could the smoking youth mentioned earlier butted in asked what the problem was, explained that I wasn’t going to pay for a glass of wine in a beer glass , his youthful petulance then took over and he had the audacity to suggest that it was perfectly acceptable to serve the wine in a beer glass and that he would be more than happy to drink wine from a beer glass !! This man was clearly not the sharpest tool in the box and I neither had the time or inclination to get involved in a battle of wits with an unarmed man !! He then informed me unbelievably that the pub didn’t have any wine glasses !!! I foolishly suggested that in that case they should perhaps not sell wine !!! I then informed the dark haired girl to take the drinks away and left!! In 45 yers of socialising in pubs and restaurants all over the world I have NEVER experienced anything like it !! How do people like that become employed ? I appreciate this area is a student enclave, but it is unacceptable to offer this woeful service, I have no desire to drink out of a bucket or whatever other receptacle they usually serve alcohol in, at a time when pubs are on there knees and people are genuinely wanting to get out and support the industry you encounter service like that it makes you wonder what’s the point!! To sum up don’t bother there’s a pub 50 yards away with civil staff who serve wine in wine glasses👍

Really nice bloke that has taken over. Son of the previous Landlady. Service was excellent, ideal for students and other genres. Can't wait for food to be back on.

Amazing food simply delicious. 7 of us dropped into this hidden gem for lunch after a morning in Leeds , the pub itself is as traditional as you can find a proper pub . Trust me when I say our group are fussy , we all had something different of the extensive menu with myself electing for the homemade Yorkshire pudding and gravy , wow wow wow ,possibly the best Yorkshire pudding I have ever eaten. The main meals are all homemade and fresh oh and if you have the large they are huge , the gravy is thick and made with really meat juices. If you manage to eat your food and you fancy having a dessert they are delicious. This pub is truly amazing we will definitely be back . Thank you

We stopped by (unknowingly) during an annual costumed pub crawl. So we were treated to automatic entertainment during our meal. The beer selection was just OK, but it was totally understandable that taps were dry after a busy day. The food was good, delivered speedily and cheerfully, and true to form for pub fare.

Staff are really friendly always happy to help, the food is 10/10 everytime you order. They do any 9" pizza for £5 7 days a week as well others and there is a separate menu as well. Live music every Friday. Family friendly pub kids allowed in till 20:30.

Nos hicieron sentir que estábamos invadiendo el lugar. Mi amigo preguntó quién es el propietario de este lugar ahora para que me gruñen a la casera. Este es mi pub. . Salimos con nuestras bebidas a sentarnos afuera. La mejor parte del pub era el calentador en el poco de fumar. . y los pocos lugareños sentados allí. Al parecer ella es así que dijeron. Bueno, no les voy a dar mi dinero duramente ganado nunca más. . ¿Nos hará saber la cervecería si ese miserable hitler se va y luego volveremos?

I am saddened to be writing a truly terrible review for this pub. We last visited here in September 2018 and could not fault it. However, having visited again for food this evening (purely based on how great it was last time) we were left shocked at how underwhelmed we were by the whole experience.

Had food from here (pizza) same night started with food poisoning. Tried to ring the pub but number not recognised very convenient.

Un amigo y yo vinimos a este pub en un soleado día entre semana para tomar una copa. Cuando entramos a sentarse, los 2 (únicos) clientes se sentaron en el bar y la señora del bar nos hizo sentir extremadamente incómodos. Cuando saludamos a uno de los clientes, la señora del bar se echó a reír y preguntó por qué estábamos allí. Inmediatamente me sentí incómodo e inoportuno y me dirigí a mi amigo para decirle que deberíamos irnos. En nuestro camino, la señora del bar nos dijo que si estábamos buscando un café, deberíamos ir a otro lugar (?). Esto nos confundió a mí y a mi amigo cuando salimos a tomar algo, pero nos sentimos avergonzados y como si no fuéramos bienvenidos. Si solo tiene dos clientes, no puedo entender por qué rechazó deliberadamente a otros. En general, se sentía un lugar muy hostil y no volveré. No lo recomendaría.

Llevé a mi madre a almorzar aquí mientras estaba en la zona. Había muchas mesas disponibles, con algunas familias que ya estaban comiendo. Mi orden fue rápidamente tomada en el bar por la amable camarera, y la comida llegó en 15 minutos. Las raciones eran grandes, pero no desagradables. El abadejo, las papas fritas y los guisantes blandos de mi madre se cocinaron a la perfección, ¡y rápidamente se lo pulió! Elegí el panini de atún, papas fritas, ensalada de col y ensalada. Esto fue muy bien presentado y sabroso. Las fichas parecían caseras, aunque esto no estaba especificado en el menú. Las mesas comenzaron a llenarse cuando estábamos terminando, y ciertamente puedo ver por qué es popular. Con dos budines y dos tazas de té, el precio llegó a 21. 60! Muy buena relación calidad-precio y sabroso también. Sin duda volveré de nuevo cuando esté en Methley.

Just an average 'old man's style pub' most of the week days.. generally less crowded than the rest of the 'Otley run' pubs.... They will still come in at weekends though

I'll be honest, this place used to be a toilet. Sorry but it did. Had a bit of a face-lift and it's not so bad now, one of the "Otley Run" pubs. Quite big and good for watching sport. Standard beer selection. Good atmosphere.

Great boozer! We went on the Otley Run and visited here as 40 lads on a stag and the staff were super friendly! Decent prices too! We also had a go on the karaoke!

Waited an hour for a pizzia. Don’t bother!

Revisited after a long absence expecting a reasonable meal at a reasonable price. We both ordered chicken tika masala , the portion size was small and lacked authentic flavour. Thoroughly disapointed, it will be a even longer absence before we visit again.

Dirty dirty toilets! Such a shame. It's changed. It used to be a lovely, traditional pub. Now it's had a makeover and turned into a nasty student pub. Only trouble is, the locals are still the same. 🙄

Llamado aquí hace aproximadamente un mes, 3 adultos, ninguno de nosotros fue intimidado con nuestras comidas, muchos en platos. . . . queda mucho en los platos, nadie preguntó cómo fue nuestra comida, no es bueno, deberían haber preguntado cuándo los platos volvieron medio llenos,. . . . bistec era muy difícil, el precio de pensamiento era demasiado barato para un bistec decente! . . Los pudines de Yorkshire eran grandes, pero demasiado espesos y pastosos, el estofado era duro,. . . . lasaña no es buena . . . y el servicio fue pobre. . . .

Visité las Tres Herraduras un domingo a la hora del almuerzo. El lugar estaba ocupado, por lo que esperaba cosas buenas. Guau, me decepcionó. No había suficiente personal detrás de la barra que significaba que nuestra espera inicial para las bebidas era larga, la mujer a cargo se comportaba como si la molestara masivamente mientras se tragaba una avispa. Antes y después de pedir nuestra comida, nos ofrecieron una variedad de comidas que pertenecían a otras personas porque los camareros no parecían entender el sistema de números de la mesa. La falta total de habilidades de observación significó que a las personas que nos rodeaban se les ofrecía salsa en sus brownies de chocolate, pudines con sus entrantes y cenas de carne asada adicionales cuando confiaban en que una era suficiente.
