Stayed for 2 nights with my partner. The rooms are cosy and well equipped. The hosts John and Ash are friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious we had a breakfast of choice both mornings and ate in the pub on the night.. delicious! Would definitely stay again!

Had Catch of the Day and Apple and Blackcurrant Crumble for£15!!! Both outstanding, particularly since we arrived at 3pm and only 3 residents were there, they must have had to get the fat up to temperature because it took a while for the food to arrive but it was totally worth it: The battered fish was the best I've had - such crispy swirly batter and perfectly cooked tender fish! I'm guessing it wasn't the usual cod or haddock, it was much less dense and tastier. The crumble was excellent too, cooked to having balls of crunchiness on top and delicious filling that was neither too sweet or sour, served with a gravy boat of hot custard which may well have been home made - great on a wintry afternoon. Getting such common food to be an exciting meal is exceptional but at £15 it's heroic when everywhere else would be twice the price! Really appreciated, thank you.

Only used restaurant but good value for money

Didn't stay in a room so rated it 5 stars for the rooms. Went to the pub for a family meal. The menu has a good variety of food. Unfortunately the service was very poor. The teenage waiter and waitress were just stood behind the bar talking to each other when they should have been serving tables. After we had our first lot of drinks, the staff never came to us again to ask if we wanted more drinks. The food was luke warm and my partners dinner that was supposed to come with mash potatoes ended up coming out with boiled potatoes instead, they didn't even ask what she wanted as a substitute or inform us that there was no mash potato. My partner also found a hair in her food just after it was served so sent it back. We also had to wait 35 minutes for some microwave desserts despite the fact it wasn't that busy. We even ended up getting our own jug of water for the table despite asking 3 times. The waiting staff were just more interested in chatting to each other rather than providing a decent service. I will not be going back to this place again.

A fantastic local friendly pub to go for some great food and drinks. The place has been completely refreshed by a new owner who is always there to chat too - the food is always great and menu is nice and varied covering a huge range of different dishes. The bnb is also great and the rooms are well furnished and modern. So pleased to have it on our door step and 100% recommend !

Good make over, not been in years. Went Saturday afternoon around 1.45 and the girl behind the bar was doing a sterling job on her own but she seriously needed help, running 2 bars, taking orders for food, telephone ringing continuously. Bless her, you seriously need to give her help or she will leave for better prospects, ie: somewhere who will respect her and not leave her frazzled after a shift! Food: Had fish and chips....fish was nicely battered and tasty but fish 'steamed' inside it and at times the texture was as if it wasn't totally cooked and slightly pink although this was a little difficult due to the soft amber lighting on the table. The 'chips!' Well! What is it about restaurant/pubs nowadays where chips land as doorstops on your plate. Whatever happened to hand cut chips? Even my local pub will cut the thick ones thin if asked! No there hand cut not fries, and there a waste of space too. Needless to say, probably won't return.

Great place to stay, clean comfortable rooms, bar restaurant an add bonus serving great breakfast and meals. Very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

wow,a truly beautiful hidden gem.popped in for a Sunday roast,great welcome ,lovely waitresses ,prompt service.was delighted with the choice of how our beef was served,me rare,my partner {alas}well done,but hey ,they happily catered for all our needs.the honey and lemon cheesecake,well just try it!!thanks guys,can't wait to pop back.

BURNT 2 YEAR OLD! Whilst on holiday we came here for a Sunday roast, 2 adults and 2 children the youngest (2years old) had hers served to her with piping hot gravy in a gravy boat on the plate?! In an instant she had grabbed it and poured it down her neck and under her top, consequently severely burning herself. Whilst we were not quick enough to grab the gravy boat, this SHOULD NOT have been served directly to her in the first place! Whilst the kitchen staff were helpful with the first aid side of things, the owner seemed a bit preoccupied with serving the rest of the customers. Whilst we were in shock when the incident happened, we have since emailed the three horse shoes voicing our concerns for the safety of other children but have had NO REPLY! Poor customer service and serious health and safety concerns... Plus, we were handed the full bill, which, in retrospect, we should have denied as 3 out of the 4 meals were cold. Would not recommend.

A great find. Comfy, stylish rooms. Convenient location and tasty food. Really pleasant staff as well.

The first impressions of the place were great. They had Neck oil, my favourite IPA. So already in a good mood. Then, for starter baked camembert (2 person to share) was very filling. Then, I had the catch of the day for the main, which was huge. I struggled to eat all mine. The final bill was less than expected, so finished on a high. Overall 10 out of 10. Definitely worth a visit.

Fantastic stay at The Three Horseshoes. Food, service, rooms and especially staff were excellent. Couldn't fault any aspect of our stay. Will definitely be back.

We had slow cooked Lamb very well cooked, an excellent meal.

Been here a few times now and had a bit of a mixed experience. Never had a bad meal but had some better than others. Service has always been excellent.

I stayed here for a cat show in Stoneleigh in November 2023 as they advertise as pet friendly. Unfortunately my cat picked up fleas, with the Three Horseshoes being the only place we could have done so as my cats are all indoor only, and when we returned home having not been able to go to the show, I checked the other cats at home who had no sign of flea infestation. I alerted the pub staff after I got home to warn them that they may need to check and spray their premises. I took ages considering how to word my email so they didn't feel I was blaming them for the fleas considering it's always a risk where other animals are. The reply I received was less than ideal - they claimed it couldn't possibly have been from our stay (where else would we have picked up fleas from??) and ended it by saying they would no longer allow pets to stay in their rooms due to this incident. I was a bit taken aback by how strong their response was, rather than a "thanks for letting us know, sorry you're having to deal with fleas" kind of thing. I thought fine, it's their prerogative, perhaps they've had multiple situations so ultimately decided to stop allowing pets. Why then, in February 2024, when the next cat show rolled round at Stoneleigh, have I been made aware that other cat exhibitors have been allowed to stay, as have people with their dogs who are in the area to do activities with the Kennel Club nearby? So was it just me that has been essentially banned from staying there again, because my cat caught fleas from their premises and they didn't want to admit even the possibility? Instead they decided to lie and tell me they would no longer accept pets at all? Such disappointing behaviour from the Three Horseshoes, especially because my experience of the stay had otherwise been great and I still would have gone back, just taken more precautions, before they decided to act this way in response to me doing what I thought was the decent thing to do and tell them about the fleas. Thank you for making me feel even worse after I already felt awful and humiliated after being turned away from the show as a new exhibitor.
