Love this local chip shop! Friendly and yummy!

What can I say to start of RUDE ARROGANT!!!there was literally no one in the shop I ordered kabab in tray with chips and fish and chips then after nearly waiting 45 minutes with no other customer but me then finally its ready the portion was in a small tray and asked for large I ask them is this a large kabab they said yes I thought what for Warwick davies absolute joke then the fish and chips was terrible I literally went back outside to the car and decided to check my food the fish was a large cod mostly batter the fish in side was of the size of a fish finger ABSOLUTE ROBBERY!! my kabab was all dry and curled up looking like a bag of quavers fuming I went back in the shop to ask for a refund and the owner started going insane and told me to get out calling me a banjo f me f me get out then his wife spit at me I just left in shock very angry owners if you provoke them come of very friendly at first

They have a great lunch menu, brilliant treat on a Friday 👍

Both the fish and the chips were well seasoned. Crispy fish and decent chips. I guess my only comment would be the price is quite high.

What takeaway closed on a Sunday

Family Gathering with 9 mouths to feed so we went to Cubbington Plaice. Freshly cooked food, hot, crispy and delicious. Generous portions. All 9 of us enjoyed the various meals we had ordered. Thank you for friendly, efficient service and a memorable meal.

Sign saying they don't accept American Express.. that's fine! 2nd sign saying there's a minimum order for card payment.. that's fine! Place order, gets bagged up then told no card payments. 😒 brilliant. Good job there is plenty of places down the road in leamington!

Well what can I say WOW staff friendly and helpful. Easy parking . Clean n tidy . And the food massive portions of very very tasty food and well priced . Top Mark's everyone who works there and I hope the owner realizes how well you all do . A BIG THANK YOU .

We started using this chippy couple of months back and have been very pleased ... lovely chips and fish was excellent. Very friendly staff who seem to want to please. Highly recomended!

We call in Fortnightly on a Saturday lunch time for a nice after work treat. Everything is always fresh and looks beautiful, never been disappointed and everything always tastes lovely from really well cooked fluffy chips to perfectly cooked fish with nice tasty crisp batter. Nice owners who have always got a smile on their faces. Highly recommended as a nice and consistent chippy. Well done guys 🤘

Everything on the food menu is very tasty, fresh, & not greasy. Always made fresh to order and the staff are very polite and welcoming , aswell as accommodating especially during Covid-19. This establishment is very well run and wish them every bit of success and accomplishment.

Went in after work ordered cod, chips and mushy peas chips rock hard on the ends and cod grey in colour chip shop going down hill.

Just tried the Doner kebab and it was excellent! Had it with the salad and mayo plus chilli sauces. Highly recommended! Great service as well.

Best chippy I have ever had, consistently. Having read the reviews, when new ownership took over there were clearly some teethin problems but I can honestly confirm this chippy is the best. I have been coming here since i was very little and have now lived in various cities in the UK, I literally drive 200 miles home to get the chippy beacuse I have never had another that lives up, to it. We still go regularly and havn't been dissapointed with the new owners. THE KEBAB IS EVERYTHING - i compare this donner kebab to all others, druken kebabs and sober, best one ive ever had. The portions are very generous, its a bargin and great staff. Would never go to another chippy if i can avoid it. A Million stars out of 10.

Really nice local chippy serving all the normal stuff. Very tasty at a reasonable cost, I will definitely go back again and recommend to others. Only small issue is that they close quite early (I think it's about 9ish) so no good for a late dinner.

Five star fish and chips absolutely faboulos we are from the north west of England, so fish and chips are a must part of the staple diet. I truly can recommend this place 5 stars

Great staff: friendly, passionate and up for a laugh but also fast and efficient. Food is worth the price and wait. The owner, balbir is friendly and funny and is good at engaging the customers into conversation when there is a delay in cooking the food.

Used to be the best chip shop. Now, probably the worst batter I have ever tasted. Thick to make the fish look bigger and not sure what fish it was. Not a patch on my local. Definitely would not use again and would not recommend.

Disgusting. Fish was nothing more than a slab of oil drenched batter. New owners have destroyed what was a good chippy. Quality is very poor, quantity is reduced and prices have been increased. Sorry, but my custom will now be elsewhere. 19th July 2019. One year on, whilst getting into my car parked by the chip shop I'm approached by whom I can only assume is the owner. He asked if I was Phil, which I happily confirmed that I was. He sarcastically thanked me for my review of a year ago. My response to this is that I am not hiding behind a false picture and name. Any review that I leave for any establishment, is fair and honest. If the quality of the food served is now much better, his sarcasm would be better replaced by offering me to sample it again, which I would have happily done. I would have also deleted my previous comments and replaced it with a favourable review if warranted. My conclusions are now not only is the food served still "disgusting", but the owner obviously doesn't take criticism kindly and feels it necessary to use the lowest form of wit to get his frustrations out, and his poor customer skills. There are a number of far superior/ friendlier chippies near by. Guess where I'll be spending my hard earned cash.

A great fish and chips shop. Staff always seem friendly and helpful. The cod was fresh and tasty. The kebab is very good too. The long queues on Friday evenings demonstrate how many of us like this plaice (pun intended) enough to keep coming back over and over!

Great little chippy. I'm not local but this was recommended to me by a friend I had been visiting nearby. Excellent value ('mini' was plenty for me), delicious freshly cooked fish, friendly staff. If I'm in the area again, I'll be back.

The fish and chips were really nice but after eating it I feel really sick. I think there’s nothing wrong with it but it’s just too greasy for me. I’ve made myself feel ill so perhaps a mini fish and chips would be better next time. Okay as a treat once a month

After discovering I have cancer a few weeks ago ,I really fancied some fish and chips , omg they were horrible, even the fish ,certainly wasn’t cod, my daughter and I had to throw it all away
