Met up for coffe/cake for friends 70th birthday

I celebrated my birthday with 10 friends & everything was absolutely great! The staff are very friendly & the croissants & coffee were fresh & delicious. Highly recommend Arden’s Coffee!

Great vegetarian ciabatta, husband said £8.50 all day breakfast was yummy, with crispy bacon! . Lovely comfy corner by a window and some nice greenery as well. A great find on our road trip with frien dly staff to boot. Thank you

Whilst working in Kenilworth I decided to take a walk down the Main Street and stumbled across Arden’s whilst looking for somewhere to eat, the lady staff member who was serving me was lovely ! The reason I write this bad review is due to the service from other staff member’s I asked for the English breakfast without black pudding and bacon but in replacement another sausage which they said they wouldn’t do this after faffing around for about 5 minutes and then said the sausage would come at an extra charge even though I am not having two of the items with the girl serving me agreeing this should happen, they staff was rude to the server and she clearly felt uncomfortable leading me to walk out of this nice looking establishment annoyed. Sorry to have to leave a bad reply but it is very disappointing

This is a popular cafe, upstairs is usually quieter than downstairs with more soft seating available. I think they allow dogs upstairs but check first. There are plenty of staff who are always pleasant.

I did believe my breakfast and pot of tea at £7.85 was quite reasonable and the only negative I had to say was that the teacup and plate was a bit tiny. BUT half way through eating it the cashier lady came over apologising that she had charged me wrong and my breakfast was meant to be £7.20 + tea so I owed them more and had to go to the till after to sort it. Somewhat annoying considering a full breakfast with sausage, bacon, black pudding, beans etc was only £8.50. I asked if they would do me just 2 eggs and toast but for the sake of an extra £1.30 I would of ordered the full breakfast but what am I supposed to do when I'm half way through eating it??? The lady was very apologetic but when your already half way through eating it it does seem bad business to suddenly up your price!!!

Relaxed place for breakfast or lunch. Good vegetarian options. It was busy on Sunday and the staff were still relaxed and friendly. They are dog friendly.

the 2 boy waiters were very handsome and very nice to me when I was around. They made me feel very at home! They should get a pay rise!

Once we have to wait for our cooked breakfast for more than one hour . After that I never been there . Today I went there again and ordered cooked breakfast and my fried egg was really burned . This time also not happy .

Very tight crowded space, lady who served me was pleasant but many of the others don’t seem to have a clue.. I overheard a lady being given a meat breakfast instead of the vegetarian and the woman just shrugged her shoulders at her. I spilt my drink and When I asked for paper towels one young lady didn’t know what I was talking about… I ended up just finding them myself. When I got back my food was propped on top of the spilt drink all over the table.. couldn’t it have waited? Or the waitress could’ve helped me clean it up. Scone was really quite under cooked in the middle and doughy. Toilets were not clean. Coffee was nice but overall didn’t enjoy.

Lovely place. Hot chocolate not living up to its name. It was lukewarm .

Counter & serving staff are cheerful and friendly. Upstairs is quiet and relaxed. Coffee is excellent , nicely strong with no bitterness. You’ve lost a star as when I visited on 20th November you’re playing Christmas music!

The summer menu's really good and includes bubble teas and yoghurt ice cream etc. I decided to try the brand new Pecon milkshake, a blend of peanuts, a touch of bacon (yes, bacon) milk, ice cream and topped with a swirl of cream, all made from scratch. Beautifully presented, vEry energising, and tOtally delicious (there's also a chocolate brownie flavour). Love the diversity of staff too, and all sO cheerful and helpful.

Try to visit at least once a week. But this week it was in chaos. Orders confused and their system appeared to be non existent. Had to wait to be served and no one apologised, that was a first in many years I'm sure this was a blip. I hope so.

Love Ardens, roomy bright coffee shop with some lovely menu items and gluten free choices. Good strong coffee Nice tables in the windows and can sit outside when it's sunny.

We have been coming here years & much liked, but not been a few weeks & now bacon in pannini's so salty my lips are tingling afterwards, such a shame. Do Ardens now have new management as a few things now different?

Busy cafe, does have seating upstairs. My panini os goats cheese was nice. But some had a very long wait for food, drink service was quicker.

Cold panini no salad, been waiting for a while for a.£10 bread and coffee. Shall not be returning. To.many staff but little service out of them.

Moderate size place. Very clean. Lovely choices of cakes to go nicely with tea or coffee. Like the table numbering system ( electronic kind of pad identifies where your seated). Will go again.. .😊😊👍

Service extremely slow and I have been several times. Last time one 3 tables in use yet the food came 10mins after we had finished our coffee

Table spaces too small, tea served without saucer, coffee warm not hot also no till paper for receipts. All in all fair.

Such a great place! Food and drinks are fab and the staff are ridiculously friendly (there seem to be a lot of regulars which is such a testament to how nice they are!). Would definitely recommend.

Ordered porridge which came lukewarm and uncooked. Staff couldn't have cared less. Felt like a Tesco's cafe rather than an independent with any personality of its own.

It was early ish and in Kenilworth a number of restaurants and coffee places are closed but this place opens at 7.30 am.it is a comfortable and pleasurable place to be.The toilets are cleaned regularly. The staff are very polite and well mannered the service is good and friendly. Car parking you have to pay for it is a little cheaper than most other places the company that monitors all the car park's has introduced card payments on the machines a lot of people find this difficult to operate especially seniors luckily you can still pay using cash which I ensure I have on me.

Certainly one of the best coffee shops in Kenilworth.

Disappointing as it seems understaffed which hinders the quality of service which puts you off from returning. Addition to this the coffee is sub standard and luke warm which is a shame and it is evident that the soup is not homemade which again is disappointing.

A great cafe for those with dairy intolerance, vegan cake and Oatly Barista Oat Milk! Really great coffee, so nice I even checked it was really oatly, they made me a new one just in case - possibly best coffee in town! Lovely team and service, thank you!

Relaxed atmosphere, pleasant to sit and chat without being hurried - despite being busy! Red fruit tea is tasty. Lots of deliciously looking cakes and pastries! Yet to sample those!

Have visited many times. Always good service and coffee. A reasonable selection of lunch items and pastries. I like the emmental and mushroom toastie or the soup. There is a large upstairs seating area too. Comfortable seating.

Great location for breakfast or brunch. Staff is very friendly. We only had to wait a couple minutes until they brought our food. We had a soy latte, tuna bagel and "the big one" bagel ( cheese,ham,bacon ) and the biscoff cheesecake. Food was warm and delicious. Best I have eaten in England so far.

Still my destination of choice for coffee or lunch in Kenilworth. Why use chains when a local outlet treats you as a human being not just a profit opportunity? Added - Why would anyone give a bad rating because of an ignorant customer?

Great coffee and good staff make it a nice place to visit

Good quick service, enjoyable food and hot chocolates. A shame some customers had a problem with my child.. (making child noises) was given absuse by a gentleman and made it a uncomfotble experience. Had to leave as felt was being starred at. Wouldn't recommend taking young children as the staff didn't 're assure us.

Unhappy with being put in a situation of confrontation by a stranger telling me I should take my child outside because he was to noisy. Without even having a second thought to fact my child has additional needs. Made to feel extremely uncomfortable and left with my child and partner upset as staff did not confront the man about his inappropriate behaviour. The thing is me and my partner didn’t even retaliate we just left unfinishing our meals. Since when is it ok for you to be sat enjoying your meal in a cafe that allows children in and then get spoken to like rubbish by a stranger. Not a safe environment for children at all.
