The Three Hammers in Barnet

Three of us had the Sunday roast. The vegetables were overcooked and dry, possibly the worst roast potatoes I’ve eaten. The chicken and gammon were ok but the beef was also overcooked. The meals were served so quickly, we suspect they had been sitting waiting to be served when we ordered. Puddings were good.

Good pub , nice staff, nice food . We went there after walking out of the gate for bad service, and had a steak , was very nice , will return ,

We ordered on the app. Really efficient and quick service. Drinks came almost straight away. Food hot and tasty. Wasn't left waiting at all. Friendly and attentive staff. Really nice family meal. Thank you.

Just had a lovely mixed grill, that was cooked just right, always enjoy our visits to this pub, the staff are always so friendly and helpful, Yvonne has always made us welcome.

Went for a late lunch with a friend. Three weeks later I got a £100 fine from Euro Parks. Thanks a lot three hammers I won’t visit again.

We Had a nice lunch it was clean and tidy . I had a falafel wrap it was really nice my friend had a chicken and bacon wrap which was equally as nice as my own and was served by Yvonne and Harrison who were very attentive and pleasant the pub has a very relaxed atmosphere I will go again.

Had lunch here today - it was very good , the service was great , courtesy of Harrison and Vicky and the food was excellent. It’s a lovely pub and feels well organised and looked after . We will be back for sure .

What a fantastic experience! I came in for an impromptu lunch after not visiting for a year or so - the food was as tantalising as the service. The reason for my review is because of the amazing service given by the staff. Sometimes you go to places and you can see people doing their job because they are paid to do so, on today's visit I found staff doing their job because they love it and it definitely shows. So thank you to Luke, Yvonne, Phebe, Ruth, Marlon and John - your passion and service does not go unrecognised nor unappreciated. We will definitely be visiting again soon! Kassi, Liam and VJ

The service is amazing, the environment is nice and relaxed and it is suitable for families. There is also an outside space, and in winter it is very cozy and homy. The food is also great, with a variety of choices.

Visited this pub at lunchtime midweek. We had the lunchtime 2 course set menu, which was very good value. Pub was fairly quiet and food arrived quickly.

Had the three course lunchtime special, every course was excellent and cooked perfectly, the staff were really friendly and made us feel at home, would definitely come here again and recommend anyone who's driving through or is in the area.

A great place for drinks and a good old catch up friends. Staff excellent and go out of their way to make sure your visit is an enjoyable one. Would definitely recommend a visit if are in the area.

Came with my husband for lunch yesterday. We also came with our family during covid regulations, and had good food and service then, so decided to return. We used to also come a long time ago , but sadly then the pub had gone downhill, however it has now improved 100% My husband had the fish and chips, and i had the Chicken, bacon and Avocardo salad which both were delicious, and my salad was delicious and had so much in it. The service was very good, and the staff were polite and nice , we will definately return again .

Have not been here for a few years , booked a lazy Friday afternoon lunch with Trica. From the moment we walked in the staff were fab, said you can sit anywhere, asked the COVID check and other questions and did we need any assistance with the AP for ordering.Food for the price charged was excellent and they offer 2 or 3 courses for a set price and very affordable.We had a problem with another patron , I got a bit upset , Alex and the other members of staff were on the ball , sorted it out and actually apologised for this persons behaviour.I want to say thank you thank you somuch for an enjoyable afternoon.Paul and Trica

Friendly welcome from the staff, good food and well kept beer. Decor inside is smart, they have a nice secluded garden for the summer months. Well worth a visit.

Popped into the Three Hammers last night after a bad experience at a nearby pub. Found the lady behind the bar friendly, helpful and never stopped smiling. I shall be going back!

Have been to this Pub on numerous occasions while on Holiday.This time makes us question if we will ever go back!!Service was beyond terrible, felt like we were disturbing the staff and felt bad to ask another question? Should have left at that point. The food was not edible cold, and had obviously been sitting for a while.The whole experience left us SO disappointment.The last time we were there our host/server Louise (I think she said was her name was) took such good care of us. We felt like we were in good hands and were getting value for money. She spent time with us telling us about the area and nice walks to take. A true asset to you Pub, she knew what customer service was about, perhaps a supervisor? We were looking forward to seeing her again, when we asked about her we got a blank stare. We are business owners ourselves, will be surprised if this pub is open next time we are in town unless changes are made!!

Vino a almorzar entre semana con un grupo grande. El pub nos pidió que hiciéramos un pedido por adelantado, lo cual fue bastante justo ya que había muchos de nosotros. El servicio fue rápido, amable y eficiente, la comida era su comida de pub estándar. Tuve la envoltura de pollo, que era un poco escasa en la cantidad de pollo, solo obtuve 3 piezas bastante pequeñas, pero era muy sabrosa y aprecié el esfuerzo de servir envolturas de remolacha que eran más emocionantes que la tortilla promedio.Volvería ya que el personal era excelente y la comida era lo que esperas de un pub de precio medio.

Arrived with friends around 2:30pm and ordered a drink before our lunch. However the bar had run out of our ordered drink so we accepted a replacement.On ordering the meal, our choice of starter and main course were not available as there were no prawns! We also ordered a jacket potato but these were not available either. All these items are displayed in several places on the menu.Our main course arrived before we had finished our starter with the reason that the chef was going on a break!! Our finished plates stayed on our table for at least 15 minutes. The food was OK but on the plus side the staff were friendly and things picked up when the manager arrived.

La comida de la hamburguesa fue terrible. La hamburguesa era cálida, acuosa y gris. Pagué extra por el tocino y el queso, el tocino también parecía gris. Solo tuve algunas picaduras y me fui si. Tenía una barriga molesta esa noche y al día siguiente. Como pub está bien, pero la comida es muy decepcionante. No volveré a comer allí de nuevo.

It's been a few years since we were last here, so it was nice to meet up with some old friends for a drink and a bite to eat.

Come to this pub regularly Louise is always super friendly she was also working with another lady who was equally as friendly great service food is always great and there is a great selection of drinks cocktails are great value for money two for 7 pound

Tenía un precioso almuerzo de 3 platos en los tres martillos. Una decoración preciosa Muy limpio. Relajante. Muy buen precio 12. 00 para 3 cursos. Valor asombroso Puedes tener 1 o 2 cursos. Comí un cóctel de gambas, pescado y papas fritas, una masa crujiente encantadora, un pastel de manzana y un helado. Mi marido tenía champiñones, empanadas de carne y ale y budín de esponja de melaza y natillas. El personal es muy servicial y amable. Louise sirviendo y detrás del bar encantador. Definitivamente iré de nuevo.

Llegaron también los tres martillos por primera vez hoy y había dos chicas que trabajaban, ambos eran extremadamente amables y muy acogedores. Nos ayudaron con la comida y las bebidas al momento de ordenar.

I have not had food this bad in ages. It heated up frozen food. My starter burnt on the outside frozen inside . My main only tasted of pepper and burnt on the outside . My dessert I thought was sponge apple pie because it was heated in a microwave and the pastry went soft.

Very nice staff. We are a large group and they are very good with service. Food very good. Only downside would be that kitchen closes too early.

We sat under a brightly flickering spotlight. Despite the staff member climbing on the table, it could not be fixed. We moved ourselves, clearing away the debris from another table and finding our own cutlery.

Came to this pub on a Wednesday afternoon two young girls behind the bar both was extremely pleasent and was very helpfully order food and drink and it was great I had a lovely pink gin and tonic and for under £6 for a double it was a bargain ! This pub looked very clean in the inside both girls where cleaning tables and glass displays will 100% be returning I think new and my friends have found a new hidden gem !

We had a lovely lunch here today. Service was impeccable.The food came promptly and was freshly cooked and very tasty. The staff were friendly and keen to help. Will definitely be back soon! This is 100% improvement on previous visits (under different management)

We had heard that the pub had a new manager and have been in there before and it was not very good however went in on Saturday and it was very good, food was very nice and the bar staff very attentive, plates taken away promptly and a very friendly atmosphere.

After reading some good google reviews recently i thought we'd give this another try, not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised! Things seem to have changed for the better. The staff were a lot happier than at my last visit, the atmosphere was better and the food was lovely!

Nicely situated with crowded parking ( because a bridge club was there). Food was average regen nothing to write home about. I had a posh fish finger sandwich which was tasty but a bit greasy. Still not a bad little pub

The pub is nice got a good garden nice and friendly.good food, i am not happy due to the slutty ness in the pub there are two young woman who think its ok to be flirting at my husband telling him she want sex witb him in the toilets i have evidence so if this behavour carrys on we wont be going back

Decoración muy triste aburrida y lúgubre. Pocas personas a las 1 pm el domingo esperaron más de 90 minutos. La comida llegó fría, se llevaron 2 platos, solo éramos 4. Volvió la carne no se podía cortar verduras asquerosa salsa asquerosa congelada. El personal se quejó y el nuevo gerente, desinteresado, pagó por los entrantes y se retiró. Ahora sabemos por qué no había nadie en un almuerzo de domingo. No volveré. ¡Fue una experiencia bastante desagradable! !

This was my local; never well maintained but a time ago the manager was trying very, very hard. After he left, fired??, a new man arrived. It got worse so we migrated elsewhere, to a pub nearby which is more expensive but the beer's good, consistent and the place clean and friendly.

Very disappointing Sunday roast dinner nothing fresh and the roast potatoes were black with black spots on them, dinner was cold and the veg came out of a bag , the dessert was like a bargain Iceland shop bought lemon tart high street supermarket food sold in a Embers Inn pub - ???? Restaurant the food should be banned from here - shocking to say the least the worse dining experience ever , McDonald's would have been more satisfying !!!

I have been 3/4 times over last couple of months- and will not go again. 1st time just drinks- no complaints. Returned 2nd time for Sunday roast- no cauliflower and cheese, veg that came with it just frozen veg. Beef was lovely! Returned again with family in the week, service terrible, food ok but all came at different times, father in law had finished his food by the time mine came. Waited over 30 minutes for desert before asking to be refunded for desert instead. Waited another 20mon for refund. Ran out of whisky too. Came again with a friend- ordered coors, none left, ordered Estrella and was foaming so after Barman tried and tried pouring I said I’ll have a Stella. Finally got a Stella- wasn’t a great pint. I then gave it my final shot on another night as it’s closest to me- ordered Estrella- was horrible. Changed to coors- tasted like soap.

We booked a table a week ago for the 29th Sep for 5:00pm for 11 people including kids.

We stopped in for lunch as the pub is very attractive and appealing. After placing our order, we waited 1 hour for our food to be brought out; a salad, and chicken burger and a curry. There were only four other tables in the restaurant. The food was poor, the chicken being overcooked and the salmon on my salad way overcooked. Not sure what the problem was but we will not return.

We waited 40 Mins for our food and when my steak came it was literally raw. I was so hungry that I had to eat it but now I’m genuinely worried about food poisoning. Avoid this place like the plague.

I came with family and friends over the weekend and had such a lovely time super friendly staff a great selection of beer and the food we ate was lovely I had a mix grill and it was cooked perfectly.

Came here with the wife and child and we loved it. Food was very reasonable and quick. This area is lovely

We called by for a pint and a wine.

Went for lunch on Wednesday ordered 3 simple lunches and sides , soups arrived on time but were weak and must have been microwaved so needed stirring to ensure heat was spread across the bowl. Sandwich arrived some 15/20 later under cooked. The barmaid was embarrassed stating the reason was due to an audit of the kitchen , so internal business matters come before custom service. Although we were given one free desert, it missed the point, so won’t be going back there after many years of popping in

Food good, bar staff fantastic, very helpful, work very hard, unfortunately what i noticed in just 1 visit in a long time away, is the new groups of young men, group 1 out in beer garden smoking weed, which each to their own, but standing next to them at the bar to be served, not a nice look, if i worked it out then the staff must know, group 2 busy using tissue in mirrors to get rid of the white powder up their noses and get louder and louder with every visit to the toilet.

Not the greatest pub. Ran out of ice on a boiling hot day. Also staff weren't friendly. Food was average although some of the stuff on the menu wasn't available.

Visited this pub on a Wednesday afternoon. Excellent Service. Lovely young lady behind the bar. Very chatty and friendly. Don't remember her name but she has long dark hair. I am sure she was there last time we were there about a year ago. Very comfortable place. Food was great and the drinks were also. Nice place to relax. Si se puede encontrar en ningún otro sitio, ir allí. Este lugar es horrible! Nos pedimos 5 comidas, 2 de ellos se apareció con el orden equivocado, uno no llegó hasta 15 minutos después de la hora de descanso y los nachos venían sin la mitad de ingredientes. Cuando le preguntaron que sólo dijeron que habían acabado de otros pero sin excusa y poco interés. El personal es peor que la comida. La peor verdad pub en el que he estado.

Vine aquí con mi familia que estaban de visita desde el extremo opuesto de Londres y queríamos encontrar una alternativa a la habitual viaje a la cosechadora. Gran error. Después de que nos dijeron que varios de los platos que pedimos estaban fuera de stock finalmente nos acomodamos para algunas comidas. Pedimos a las 12:20 y nuestra comida llegó 50 minutos más tarde. Yo trabajaba antes en un director de cocina para un gran cambio pub y yo normalmente tienen paciencia infinita para otros en la industria de la hospitalidad, estoy totalmente de entender que los alimentos se acaba, que la cocina es normalmente escaso y que los clientes pueden ser una pesadilla. Sin embargo, incluso durante la mayoría de las veces las pruebas, buen servicio al cliente puede hacer toda la diferencia. Están dispuestos a esperar 50 minutos para la comida si se dijeron antes, pero el personal del bar no mencionó esto cuando mi familia ordenados. Estábamos claramente moverse agitó, pero nadie llegó a explicar que la comida estaba en camino o para disculparse o tranquilizar a nosotros. Habíamos pedido postres como parte de la comida del domingo almuerzo y luego tuvimos que esperar otros 30 minutos para aquellos. Ni una sola vez alguien me pidieron disculpas por la demora, el camarero nos dijo que no es usualmente parecido pero los comentarios o aquí dicen otra historia o la confusión con la factura, de hecho casi no nos dan un reembolso aparte de el hecho de que el camarero que no habían molestado en quitar el suplemento de comida fuera de la ley todavía estaba allí y podría responder por nuestra honestidad. Cómo 5 personas podrían haber comido 6 comidas, no lo sé.

Popped in for lunch after walking round the lovely scenic sights of Mill hill.Staff always friendly and helpful .There was a long wait on food but pub was busy .Once food arrived my wife and I were satisfied huge choice on menu and I feel very reasonable prices .

I had yet another lovely afternoon meal here .I always find Ben and Louise really friendly and helpful, even giving my dog a cool drink too.Gets really busy when hot but spacious so I always find a table .

Visitamos el domingo 29 de abril para el almuerzo el cumpleaños de mi novio. Había 3 de nosotros y nos hicieron conscientes del punto de bebidas pidiendo que el actual espera en comida hasta una hora como máximo. No tuvimos ningún problema con eso porque podíamos ver el pub estaba lleno. Yo y la madre de mi novio el asado de ternera y pedí mi novio pidió el jabalí hamburguesa. Al final esperamos aprox. 45 minutos, la cocina tenía acabaron de hamburguesas de jabalí, así que nos ofrecieron una hamburguesa extra a mi novio para compensar. Cuando nuestro de llegar no era asados más impresionados. La carne y la salsa estaba deliciosa, los guisantes y judías verdes también estaban bien, sin embargo las patatas asadas eran todavía bastante difícil en el medio, no había puré (apreciar no es anunciado con puré) y no nos ofrecieron ningún condimentos. Siempre he sido fan de Pubs Ember inn porque la comida es siempre sin embargo el punto realmente no Tarifa el asado y no pedir de nuevo. Pagamos la cuenta y nos fuimos como teníamos planes más tarde en la tarde.

En Ordenar nuestra comida, me dijeron que tenía que esperar una media hora. Bien, bastante, a veces esto puede ocurrir a veces ocupado pero. . . Dos tercios de la orden llegó en 30 minutos y el tercer final después de 50 minutos. Y esto fue sólo después de que la camarera informó cortésmente mi comida era falta en 45 minutos. Para rematar cuando mi comida no llega, fue el plato equivocado (pedí ternera costillas con puré, fue presentada con una cena de carne asada).

Fui hoy para el almuerzo de los domingos. Pedimos el trío, pero no recibir las bolas relleno. Sólo nos dimos cuenta a mitad de camino a través de la comida. Fuimos a pedido de postre, pero me dijeron que tenía que pagar el precio completo, ya que no la había pedido con el plato principal. Esto debería haber sido claro en el menú. Cuando me dijo que el camarero que faltaban las bolas del relleno, todo lo que dijo fue "lo siento" es. Oportunidad perfecta para compensar por clasificar la postre pero fue perdida. Mala atención al cliente.

Been here many times. It can of course happen for staff to get the order wrong, but the last thing you want is to be made feel as if it was your fault. This lacks the very basic customer service where an apology from the manager would have been more appropriate. Not my local anymore I’m afraid.

My friends and I have had a lovely meal here tonight wait for food wasn't to bad ,good for a fairly busy Friday evening . Staff were all extremely friendly and welcoming as always .I love the fire very cosy and decor make this can easy pub to relax in very good food price .Thanks we will be back soon.

only downfall was food was slow but both team members always try there hardest in keeping customers happy. and this is what makes people come back when staff go out of there way to be lovely.

We were visiting my other half's Mum today, and the three of us decided to grab a bite to eat at the Three Hammers. It was one of Jo's old haunts, so we thought it would be nice to see how the place had changed.

Took the grandchildren there for lunch and although the food and service was fine it is just another pub serving

After waiting half hour for a starter of olives an unedable meal came a rump steak full of grizzle couldn't cut it let alone eat it no other steak was available to order on a Saturday night as you can see well greasy chips awful, dope at bar didnt put my friends meal on the bill so that wasn't served just as well done him favour, well best avoided.

We found that you had a good choice of different meals to eat. We had a table for 3. The waiting for your meal was not too long. It was enjoyable the taste.

We often visit on a Sunday for lunch but had not been for a few weeks. When we arrived we were told about the new chef who had been getting great reviews. God only knows how, all 5 meals came out stone cold, the potatoes were like bricks, meat was barely edible & the beans which replaced the usual vegetables were still frozen in the middle. One of the orders was completely wrong. We were going to give it the benefit of the doubt & head down this week in the hope that it was a 'one off', but judging by other recent reviews we won't bother now.

My partner and i ordered chicken and leek pie and the rump steak. After 45 mins waiting with no sign of the food i went to the bar to ask what had happened? The guy behind the bar said that he would check. I saw him come back from the kitchen, but didn't even bother to come over and tell me what the outcome was? The food eventually arrived and due to the pie being cold and the rump steak not even being able to be cut with a steak knife, the two meals were returned to the bar. I spoke to the same guy as before and said that due to the long wait and the unsatisfactory food i would like a refund? This was done and we left, never to return.

A party of four for a lunch, pleasant surroundings and fairly quiet for a Saturday.Waited a fair time considering number of customers and on receiving our meals, 3 of them had two or more items missing. As a result we were offered free deserts, which we accepted. 2 people ordered profiteroles which when they turned up were frozen solid ! The staff were most apologetic ,and sympathetic. Judging by reviews they probably get plenty of practice ! A large discount was given on our final bill.Just to round off the visit I used the downstairs easy access loo. The door didn't lock, the toilet seat wouldn't stay up and after washing my hands the drier didn't work either !!

This has been our local for 20 plus yrs. We have tried time and again to give it the benefit of the doubt and our custom and each time we are back yet down. We arrived on this beautiful bank holiday Monday and were the first to arrive at 12noon. The barman was friendly and assured us lovely time to compliment the day.We sat outside but all tables were dirty. Cigarette butts strewn across the grass and frankly the place smelled bad.I orederd the half roast chicken in a garlic butter sauce with chips salad and coleslaw. The latter did not arrive until I reminded them. The chicken was dry and overcooked and there was no sauce other than a bit of dried in something stuck on the skin. Frankly it was awful.My wife ordered a jacket potatoe with tuna which was undercooked and tepid.When we were asked if all was ok we told the waiter our problem. Minutes later another more senior waitress appeared and apologies. She offered drinks and desserts on the house. I ordered the Apple pie with ice cream to be told there was no vanilla only chocolate ice cream. Not a problem i said. When it arrived the pastry was flabby wet and not cooked. Horrid. My wife had a diet coke which was flat not v cold. We were told the food is delivered pre prepared and the kitchen staff heat it up. Frankly this is disgraceful. We have given up after years of hoping for improvement. If anything it's got worse. There is plenty of choice in mill hill so give this a wide berth. Shame.

Tried to book private space for 50 + people for afternoon eats/drinks. Manager rude and unaccomodating. Suggest everyone takes their business elsewhere. Three Hammers hold customers in contempt.

Went here tonight, ordered drinks, chose from the menu to then be told that the kitchen is closed tonight. Member of Staff who told us said he had no idea why as he wasn't told this sort of information! Very disappointing. The place was virtually empty. Disgraceful for a Saturday night. The same member of staff said I can offer you crisps or peanuts... What a waste of time.

Popped in here for a spot of lunch, first choice risotto unavailable so opted for crispy duck salad which was a little disappointing (poor attempt of a salad). No sign of spring onion, very little of any salad ingredients! The chips on other meal were not cooked through as hard in the middle. Staff cheerful and friendly.

Have eaten here many times under different management teams. Setting is good, quite big, good garden area for use in good weather. Food is typical pub grub, tasty enough but sometimes a bit hit and miss. It is not a place for 'foodies' to frequent. They do an excellent cheap lunch/dinner deal, a three course meal for £10. Service is good, lots of young staff. Ate pork belly dish which was very tasty but again pub grub standard. Prices however are very good so you get what you pay for and more sometimes. Good for lunch but they need to ensure the bread served is very fresh as my last sandwich was a bit stale. However I will return as it is very good value for money and convenient but I would not go here for a 'special' night out.

Just went for a quiet coffee. Attentive service but OMG the most tasteless coffee I have ever tasted...ever!

So very impressed with this pub, the service is great, people are nice, ambience super relaxing and well maintained. We were really happy with the fact that they have vegan options and even a beautiful vegan desert! Thank you!

Quality of food was fair and tables were clean. Nice setting with big windows. Pleasant atmosphere. Good choice on the menu. However, the food took an inordinate amount of time to get to us. Took 45 minutes to get the meal, and while we were ordering coffee someone else was complaining about same thing. The waiter who received the complaint looked totally nonchalent! When our meals arrived not a "sorry for delay" or an "enjoy your meal." Not overly busy as several tables empty! We then had the misfortune to order four cappachinos. After waiting 15 minutes we asked at the bar if they were coming. The two young men, without name badges, said they were just doing them! In other words not started until I arrived. Again no apology. Are they trained in customer service? Dishes were left on the table and not cleared away before the coffee came. The coffee was not the best quality! Probably a better pub than a place to eat or have a coffee. The four of us are locals it was a Saturday lunchtime would prefer to go somewhere else for food!

was most disappointed and thought it rather out of order last sunday early evening when we arrived and about to order were told nothing was available from the main menu.surely that is not the way to run a restaurant

Just popped in for pre Fathers day celebration lunch, place not busy. Took an hour for the first of our food to emerge with the rest missing. Turns out the kitchen is being run single handed by the manager who can't cook! As he had moved on to another order he couldn't now cook our missing food, fries and garlic bread....I feel really sorry for the bar staff who are taking the pain for the managers stupidity.Tip for manager, if you don't have kitchen staff be honest and close the kitchen you are damaging the Ember inn brand. Perhaps you are auditioning for Ramsays kitchen nightmares, God knows what Gordon would say!

Popped in here for lunch with friend for light bites and coffee, staff are pleasant but no coffee machine was charged £2.00 for half cup of water tainted brown was meant to be coffee pretty appalling so won't be going back there for lunch I do like a decent cuppa in the day thought the chips were a small portion for the price too, it's a pleasant enough place though so would meet friends in evening when I drink alcohol.

Had a superb Sunday lunch here with my family. Food was lovely and the chap at the bar who served us made our time even better. He was very chatty and helpful and went out of his way to ensure my fussy daughter got the meal she wanted. I'm not sure of his name but he was quite tall and had dark hair. 5 stars.

Where do I start. They seemed short of staff. Being a Bank Holiday Monday you would assume a lot of people will venture out for an afternoon meal with friends & families.Put the order in. Pea & asparagus risotto, which came without peas & the risotto was uncooked. Very dry. The Hunters chicken, the chicken you could not cut into,even if you had a sharper knife. The Beef burger was burnt/chargrilled.The order of our food came out different.Staff were rude when we questioned the order. Not professional at all. Shame the meal was spoilt. Won't be coming back. Only positive was getting a refund for the food.
