Had a morning coffee. Was nice and quiet in the mornings.

Some staff (not all) need serious customer service training. Busy periods are between 5.30 pm and 8pm and there are NEVER enough staff. There are also one or two male members of staff that would rather be anywhere rather than serving those that pay their wages. I have been using The Bell for 25+ years. As a Wetherspoon shareholder, I would like to think Wetherspoons would get a grip on this great pub, buy they are not listening!

i love this place so much always had fun here yet tonight had a difficult man approach me and my friends and the staff were so lovely let us stay after closing and made sure me and my friends were safe cannot thank them enough

The bar staff although very polite are very slow at serving ,large piles of empty glass waiting to be cleared is a regular theme

Very young crowd, nice atmosphere, no trouble and chill . Recommended for the younger crowd on Fridays

as a wheelchair user the staff were happy to bring my drink to the table also the toilets are accessible accept one time there was no loo roll bit they fixed it for me

It was my partners 60th birthday yesterday. On Sunday I took her myself and 6 other family members for a meal at the railway Bell. Service brilliant, food fantastic, prices very reasonable. Thank you to all the staff.

Order Group mix with beer 15 💷 . Appetizingly served, unfortunately the meat was dry, only the sausages and eggs were tasty

The person that serve me was very unpleasant when ask about beer rudely reply I don't drink how I am supposed to know when he works in a bar. A young woman working there came to my rescue and recommended something. But will definitely not go back to that server

Get literally what you pay for at Spoons. Nothing great about it but nothing bad either. Very average food at cheap prices and cheap beer. Overall as I’ve said cheap and average

I think the waiters and bartenders are really rude. Horrible experience. There is no customer service whatsoever.

All perfect in this pub, amazing food, good atmosphere apart from the female blonde bartender who doesnt make eye contact with her customers, never smiles and has the nerve to raise her eyebrows at you, she really has a negative attitude !

Came back after not visiting for about a year. My friend and I ordered separately on the app at 6:55. Our drinks arrived quickly and we waited for food. By 7:40, it still hadn’t arrived so I went to find out what the waiting time was. There was plenty of space and by no means was it ‘busy’. I was met with a bit of an affronted waiter who said he would check and then came back with ‘no we didn’t get the ticket’. I said that the drinks had arrived from both of our seperate orders, so the ticket had clearly gone through. He then wanted to see the receipt on my phone (understandable). He walked away and then at 8:05 the cheesy chips arrived. They were cold & had what looked like a teaspoon of some hardened cheese. My friends meal was also cold and hard. Sent these back and waited a further 5 or 10 minutes. No refund or free drink (both of us were only on the soft drinks!) offered and very minimal apology. The food then came back and was not replaced at all- it had clearly been put in a microwave because it was now just soggy (but at least hot)… The chicken my friend ordered was blackened having presumably been plopped back into a fryer. The waiter did look rather hot and bothered so it’s not to say he was being rude, rather just a bit dismissive as he seemed preoccupied. I know it’s a spoons and not exactly top quality dining, but to wait an hour and ten minutes for a bog standard meal, only for it to turn up cold and then a reheated slop, isn’t exactly great.

Fresh food but before ut was better

One of the best sites for the outdoors..Both a large and bright conservatory. And fine wrapped garden. Great range of real ales at very reasonable price's. Quick service too..

Went here yesterday - arrived at 9pm, ordered and paid on the app and were then told we couldn't eat after 9pm as our sons were only 14 and 16. Eventually we were told we had to leave by 9.30 - so at least the service was quick ! However, the food looked like it had been cooked in 5 minutes, and the '11 inch' pizzas were probably half that ! We won't be rushing back....

Use to love going in Wetherspoon Barnet. But the last few times it has been disappointing with cold food and when I Complain it was like I was in the wrong and had no right to complain. We went yesterday (Friday) ordered 2 bugers one pain one with bacon and cheese and the barman repeat the order back to me, yet when it came there was no bacon and no cheese so when I told them he said I didn't order it with bacon and cheese and walked away. (always order the same thing) So disappointing.

When it is quiet, everything is going smoothly. Weekend or busy times is just a mess. So dirty, service doesn't exist and the staff they just ignore you. Also, it would be nice if you cleaned some tables instead of chatting in the corner.

It's a spoons, so you know what you're getting. Beer very good, staff amazingly hard working and polite at a very cheap price. Paul

The worse barmens i have ever seen. i waited 10 minutes to grab a beer. they never look who is next. Prince of wales wasnt like that. They used to look and serve who is first. im sure it is busy but they can be careful

Great local, good food, especially breakfast. One of the better Wetherspoons. Nice garden for the summer.

Popped in for a breakfast at 11am and I was lucky to get a table, those early drinkers were in full swing which gave the place a good atmosphere. Breakfast was good especially the extra black pudding I ordered which was cooked to perfection the only downside was the bacon was cold but tasted really good.

Lovely local. Spacious & airy, but warm & welcoming. Staff nice. Food served in good time, though plates not cleared. Food is reasonable, standard pub food but with more choice. Reasonably price food and drink. Feel comfortable coming here.

Both on food and drink can not be beaten on quality for the price. Don't know how they do it, but keep it up Also has a great selection of real ale beers, amongst more than 120 other alcoholic and soft drinks. Always try and support Spoons whenever we get the chance. Fantastic prices, usually aimed at students but here there is a more regular mature clientel.

This is a Wetherspoon's so you know what you are getting food and beer wise if you have been to any other pubs in this chain. What sets this place apart is how it appeals to a wider selection of the local community and doesn't feel like an old guy kinda joint. Well it does a little bit but not nearly as much as you'd expect. If they could only pick up plates after you finish your meal it would be 5 star.

A very nice, friendly pub. The food is great too. I had a Christmas meal here; it was amazing. Don't hesitate to pop in.

Sometimes the staff are a bit slow and once they forgot to add a the right number of veggies sausages. Some of them don't seem happy I would like to see a somewhat happier demeanour

Best Weatherspoons in the area, which is pleasant, light, and clean inside and has a nice beer garden. Food consistently meets expectations, and the service is good. No onsite parking.

Have a nice lunch within a serene environment

A cute little place tucked away in East Barnet was recommend by a friend. It's a beautiful property with both inside and outside seating. Food service was fast and portion size good. Quality of the food was top notch.

My pub, when it's clean and tidy it's the best 40 years for me. Wetherspoons great for us oldies.

The food is standard Wetherspoons fayre but good value for money. I had a pint of Nethergate Old Growler and a pint of Elgoods Greyhound both very good ales, they keep their ales well here and continued down the whole pint very tasty and a couple of good visits.

I had a mixed but pleasant experience - the food was decent - delicious nuggets but a horrible burger that tasted like soap. Beer was standard but the hot chocolate machine was broken. Atmosphere was okay but there’s building works next door. The outside was okay but the smoking area is terrible. The atmosphere was nice in the corner with the comfy chairs, but was dreadful in the main hall.

Very good for a suburban Spoons. Very good selection of 6 guest real ales alongside the usual offerings. A very big but noisy beer garden out the back, good for a bit of sun but with plenty of shade also. Friendly service.

Cosy, homey pub, we love this place. The waiters are a bit interesting sometimes.

Very pleasant service from the chatty female member of staff who has good knowledge of Wetherspoon's pubs. The food was okay, and the beer was below par. However, this may have been because it was only around 11 am. Plenty of light in this one and an impressive outdoor seating area. Would definitely return.

Cheap tasty food and great service, even has an app to table order food. Little bit dark in some places but overall pleased.

Good food, staff are usually quite friendly but often they're too short staffed leaving customers waiting and food sitting in the window to be served. One of the cleaner branches for sure! Would definitely recommend.

Good staff ,friendly youngsters sometimes long wait at bar,I'm bared and that's fine no loss to me,I speak my mind ,if Black beard the manger don't like it ,he is welcome to have fun with his thug mates who where so loud last week and on Sunday night where deefing people,,I wish all the best just happy he bared me over a pint of cider ,I won't miss East barnet dump if every there was ,

Decent Wetherspooms with a lovely beer garden.

Awful service every time I come here. We order on the app when it’s quiet in the pub, and a minimum of 30 minutes later our drinks arrive because no one has looked at the screen. Our food was sat there getting cold for 10 minutes before the chef shouted for someone to come and do their job. Staff don’t care. Really disappointing.

So boring, food disgusting id rather eat a pile of dog poo… lines looked like they haven’t been cleaned in 10 years! The lime in my friends Sol looked nasty, I wouldn’t recommend this even to a rat. worst weather spoons EVER

Hap to wait 15 minutes for a drink ordered via the app, but it was strangely busy for a Tuesday evening.

What looks like quite a large pub, is in fact a normal sized spoons inside (where the seating is fairly tight) with a very big beer garden - unless I just couldn't find the secret door to upstairs. The staff were nice and friendly and even though it was very busy everything was cleaned as needed. The Guinness was excellent

We used to love this place but new management has taken over recently and get really rude over things previous managers solved. Very inappropriate staff some buying customers free drinks and some hurting customers and some even making a scene and getting extremely aggressive in attempts to embarrass customers Oh and not to mention unfair barring and allowing unstable bpd people to work with customers. I have friends who where actually scared to order drinks in case she served them poison. Same underage people in there every week but they don’t get barred, well dodge if you ask me.

Very scary angry lady who serves drinks and shouts at teenage girls she’s like 27/28 5’5 brown hair and scary eyes. Respectfully she needs to be sectioned and the managers are protecting her for no good reason realistically so many people need jobs she needs to be fired and made to apologise to all the people she’s hurt.

Came to the pub today and from the start the visit was not great. The table was really dirty and we asked for a cloth to clean it. Have put a picture of the cloth after. It wasn't busy at all as was 12.05. Waited a while for our drinks in fact the food came first. My partner went in to collect them and the two staff were talking at the bar and made him wait and then said they were just about to do them. Also where we sat unknown to us was right by the staff smoking area. A member of staff was leaning over and blowing smoke into the non smoking area while we were eating. Just not a nice visit which is a shame as we've had some really good times there.

Lewis was amazing behind bar as he was by himself as 2 of he coworkers left him there for 25 min to do all by himself

My friend and I ordered our food giving our table number. After a few minutes it started to pour with rain so we moved to a table under cover. All the time our original table was on my sight and I was watching for our food to call them over to where we were now sitting. After about 30 minutes- still no food so I went to find out what had happened. Asked if I had changed tables to which I replied yes as we didn’t want to get drenched by the heavy rain! They said that they had tried to bring our food but no one was at the table. This is untrue as I was watching the original table and no waiting staff went anywhere near it. Why would we order food and then disappear? And shouldn’t common sense have told them that we would not be sitting in the pouring rain! I was told to get a refund at the bar, they wouldn’t give us our original order even though we were starving at this point nearly an hour after ordering. Had to wait ages for the extremely surly and uninterested ‘manager’ to process my refund. No apology was given apart from a young waiter . When I said to the manager ‘an apology might be nice’ she shrugged and virtually ignored me. Very disappointing and I’m amazed that someone with no people skills is running a pub.

Gave up at the bar as there were literally no staff, tried to order on the app, 25 mins later no drinks...... .... really pathetic...

Alex was so great to us and was very attentive to us even though we were in such a big group. She is an assett to the service industry

Thought i would treat myself to a breakfast at the bell. after waiting a long time to be served at the bar by a rude waitress who did not know the till system I ordered my food with black pudding unavailable as an add on. After I waited patiently for 25 minutes the rude waitress approached me. She informed me the reason I had waited so long was because the kitchen had ran out of sausages and simply said what do you want instead with no apology. I politely said I had waited a long and that I would like a refund and would take my Buisness elsewhere to which she replied “it’s just a bloody sausage” I would like to think that if you are that unhappy with your job you would just do something else rather than taking it out on the customer and ruining their Saturday morning.

A good selection of alcohol at good prices but it's not run particularly well, e.g. Tables are left dirty and sticky. Also I found myself waiting 10 minutes to get served while a long queue built up behind me. Only 1 member of staff was serving whilst 3 other staff pottered around the bar. The manager eventually told someone to serve instead of putting away glasses but he himself went back to writing in a book.

Manager is so rude and horrible. He doesn’t let customers talk and he doesn’t care what you are saying. Could someone please tell me how I can complain. 👎

Great atmosphere thanks to the welcoming staff. Wraps not as you can see on the flyer's photo but honestly, very tasty. So all 5 ⭐ for the meal with a soft drink. As usual, for some size matters, for some quality .

Great place to relax and enjoy a drink. Being a wetherspoons the drinks are reasonably priced. Lovely beer garden . Not tried the food yet but will be back. Try to make it regular for a drink monthly. Bargain drinks.

Use to be a decent pub, but food has gone way down hill. Some food burnt some food ice cold and some food never turned up. What's worst is that whole experience was on one plate. Also I understand pubs will have some loud people in there and that's fine but not staff swearing at each other, shouting shut up at one another and then swear at staff members who are working while they sit and drink and make the place horrible. So all in all don't bother anymore with this place if you wanna take your family out somewhere and if you don't mind fake Road men getting loud.

When working away we always try and locate a spoons, never disappointed, always consistently good and value for money, no matter what spoons you got to in the UK it's always a great atmosphere, service is always spot on.

Not the fault of the Railway Bell but we couldn't hack staying here for too long. Building site next door. Bang bang bang bang. It had me jumping up and down. There were a few craft beers for under three pounds a pint. As a teddy bear into craft bears, and with a sugar mummy on a budget, they were welcome. But we only had one of them. Bad sugar mummy! It's a Wetherspoon pub. It has that Wetherspoon feel. But at least they have no loud music or TV. There is a conservatory and plenty of outdoor seating.

Had a great experience had some nice hotdogs brought to my table upstairs by a server called Benjamin he was lovely and the WKD was very reasonably priced

Nice atmosphere and busy pub. Drinks good but samosa and onion bhaji that formed part of the curry night meal were seriously cremated. One of the best Wetherspoons in our area.
