The Three Crowns in Stafford

Absolutely the best little pub/restaurant for miles. Thanks to Zara for serving us today, she’s very attentive. The food is always absolutely spot on. ALL of the staff are an absolute credit and an asset to the place, the manager is the most polite and friendly manager I’ve ever met. It’s such a fantastic place. Will not go anywhere else and we now frequent it at least twice weekly. The prices are so so reasonable, there’s a great rewards scheme they have in place. If you haven’t tried, do!

Wonderful delicious Sunday lunch with friends. The staff were so pleasant and cheerful, the ambience cosy and welcoming and the food was so moreish with great varieties to choose from. An all round great dining experience. Our first visit but definitely not the last.

As always a cosy atmosphere. The staff were very efficient and the young lady who served us was exceptionally polite and attentive. The food was well prepared, well presented and tasty. Only downside is the price of drinks but that is to be expected as this is a restaurant that sells drinks more than a pub that sells food

Well what can I say about here. An absolutely lovely place. Went with a friend for an evening meal and it was beautiful. I really can't fault the food, service or lovely surroundings. The three courses I had were absolutely amazing. I had the Hunters chicken dish for mains. Lovely. We were waited on amazingly by Zara and Amy. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They served us well. I highly recommend coming here for food and drink. It has a big car park and the place is lovely and clean with alot of history behind it.

I’ve got to say, what an amazing atmosphere you have there, the food was absolutely fantastic and I wanted to give a huge thank you for our waitress Zara, who really helped us out a lot and always have a smile on her face, was extremely kind and always listened to everything we was saying. Honestly the best service we have had in a long time. We will be back very soon.

We had dinner and drinks. The food is lovely. The service is impeccable. We love visiting The Three Crowns because it has a lovely atmosphere, the background music isn't intrusive and the log fire is always roaring. Great experience was had once again. Thank you!

Had a good meal, food was ok not the best in the world but not bad either. Pudding was great (honey pot) probably one of the best puddings I have had. Would I go back, if I was in the area I would consider it but it just lacked something. So I would probably end up going somewhere else.

The food was served in good time. Although the food was not piping hot when it came The portion sizes are not comesurate with the price for a local pub meal. 18 pounds for an 8oz sirloin is a little on the expensive side and then charges extra for mushrooms. The mac and cheese main dish was no different in size to the one that was served as a side. The service between courses is a little slow and felt like we had been forgotten as it got busier. £164 for 6 persons 2 courses and a drink each, all of which were non alcoholic drinks, which is more than I'd expect to pay in a pub. I wouldn't visit again.

Tonight was our 3rd visit to Three Crowns, we're not local to Stone but we come specifically to the Three Crowns now because it's that good! The service and atmosphere is lovely cosy pub great service helpful friendly staff but the food is really really good. It's not what you'd expect from a "chain" pub, the quality is excellent. It's more like a gastro pub menu with reasonable pub prizes. Tonight I had the chicken Penang curry and banoffee pie, and wanted neither to end! They also have an app with deals and vouchers on from time to time which is how we came here in the first place, tonight was 50% off mains which was brilliant. We come and pay full price as well because it really is worth it, never had an ok/average meal yet, it's always been excellent. Always nice to see the manager (I think) helping out and serving meals. Thank you Three Crowns! See you again soon

This is a really lovely place with its open fire and general cosy feeling. We chose from the festive menu with sea bass and chorizo which was beautiful. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I'll definitely be returning.

The Three Crowns is by far our favourite place, we are always made to feel welcome, food is always good, but on the odd occasion as of yesterday the carrots and the parsnips are to hard to eat, but apart from that we love the place.

I had the calamari to start and the seabass for main and they were delicious, beer kept really well, service excellent, can highly recommend

We came for a meal this evening. The staff were all lovely and service was fast. Especially when so busy. It was disappointing that some starters needed adjusting as ran out of some bits and puddings were not available as had sold out. We were a half 5 booking and had been booked in for weeks. Would have been good to be able to enjoy the menu as advertised.

Came in for lunch and it was fantastic, staff were great and even the chef said goodbye when we left, worth another visit.

Zara always makes me and my dad feel very welcome and is always pleasant and happy to serve. As is all the staff and food is always top notch!

Last minute booking for a evening meal, wanted somewhere we could relax that was peaceful having recently loosing a close member of the family. The three crowns has a warm and friendly atmosphere, lovely food and excellent service provided by Zara, nothing was too much trouble. We will be back

Sunday meal with my wife, kids and my parents. Lovely atmosphere. Warm and cosy. Served by Zara who was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious at a reasonable price. I had the signature burger…really tasty. Good selection of alcohol free beers for the drivers. The mini pudding and drink for £6.25 is a great idea by the way. Car park large. Will definitely come here for lunch again. Many thanks for a lovely experience.

It was good, but chips were over cooked. Garlic bread was burnt.. was replaced after speaking to the staff. We've been regular customers at the establishment for over 20 years. We love the pub and will continue to support it.

Just ok, they have tried to be top notch but instead of serving good holsome food they give you complicated dishes that taste good but over rated, they need to keep it simple

The food was very nice, however we where waiting for over an hour and a half for mains when there was only another 2 tables in. Staff where friendly however not attentive.

Come highly recommended but didn't live up to it. Food not warm enough, took forever in-between courses. For the money you pay would expect more. Won't be going back anytime soon. One positive is it has a very good atmosphere about it.

Amazing food lovely staff but the wait times were redicilous because we orderd two banoffi pies and it's taken over 20 minutes to come out and there's no one else in, there's two bar staff standing around doing nothing and there's already been two of the chef's left the building

Food and service was good. But £6.25 for a pint of Neck oil is extortionate and means we wouldn't be returning any time soon

We went on a Monday night. The menu was limited because of the weekend food. It was quiet. The service was quick and the waitress was friendly. The food was nice. Its very nicely decorated but the cushions could do with a clean, because of drink and food spills on them. We'd go again.
