Great local pub/restaurant from the Vintage Inns chain. Good atmosphere, Friendly, welcoming service, 3 cask ales and excellent food! Dogs welcome in the designated bar area!

First visit for a while, we had a lovely lunch, really enjoyed it. Service was excellent by Zara and Ed. Definitely be returning. Thank you

Had the beef roast, - the beef, carrots and potatoes were a little hard to cut, could’ve done with a steak knife. They put me and my elderly mum right by the door. People kept coming in and out and I was getting irritated by having to keep shutting the door to save my mum sitting in a draught. We had to move in the end. Very dog friendly place. Staff fairly attentive but we must’ve had about 5 people serving us. They didn’t seem to realise we had had to move tables. The place was heaving as we left, it seems very popular. Not sure we will return as there are lots of other places to try. But was pleasant for a change. We had 3 courses and enjoyed it generally. Just a few quibbles.

Nice place for lunch - quiet with good beer. Not cheap, but very pleasant.

Had a meal on Saturday afternoon, the Gammon was perfect. Lovely runny eggs. Ed was really helpful and even recommended the mini pudding and hot drink deal to us. Definitely coming back.

Part of the Vintage Inn chain. It's been done up sympathetically and has a relaxed atmosphere. Very friendly service and decent food.

We have been visiting this pub for many years food always excellent service and staff excellent however we visited last Saturday lunchtime and the dogs almost outnumbered the people. The dog on the next table was sitting on knee of the owner with its head on the table where the food was.

As always a cosy atmosphere. The staff were very efficient and the young lady who served us was exceptionally polite and attentive. The food was well prepared, well presented and tasty. Only downside is the price of drinks but that is to be expected as this is a restaurant that sells drinks more than a pub that sells food

Booked at the last minute for a table of 3 at 1.0pm today.Wonderful welcome by the manager .Zara waited on our table and was totally professional in every way aswell as being warm and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food fabulous and couldn't have had better service if we'd been dining at the Ritz

Absolutely lovely place for food and drink. Staff are amazing. Especially the young lady that looked after my friend and me. Her name was Zara. She is lovely and pleasant and nothing is too much trouble for her. Overall a lovely experience and meal here. Can't wait to go back again soon. Already booked up for a months time.

This is our general 'go to' pub/restaurant. The food is always good and the staff are both welcoming and friendly. We visit at least once per month and feel confident to recommend to friends and family.

Lovely decor. Speedy and polite friendly service, nice warm fire. Good lunch food, beef brisket sandwich and chips were lovely.

Visited just before New Year with friends for a meal. Lovely old pub with log fire and great food, definitely go again.

If food had been fresh and hot it would have been appreciated. Roast potatoes black underneath. Will not be going back.

We went for a meal on New Years Eve, Zara looked after us and she was a super host, couldnt have done more, polite, attentive and even googled something for us to clarify - the meals were excellent - highly recommend.

Had christmas dinner here. The food was ok, a bit more attention to detail would be good and as we were last sitting it felt rushed at the end. The beef wellington had seen better days however they were able to swap it for a good pork belly. Zara our waitress was lovely and attentive so 5 stars for her. Just a few things that could be better but we had no washing up to do so all good there 😀

We really enjoyed our Christmas dinner, the staff were very friendly and courteous especially Zara, she looked after us very well. The only down side is that we were in a corner and we felt isolated. Family with naughty kids next to us😕. But we would definitely come back.

Food was great. We all had different meals and we all had enough to eat. Service was excellent. Zara was an excellent staff never and couldn’t have done anymore to help us enjoy our experience .

Had a amazing meal on sunday it was splendid and our delightful server mel was very sweet and amazing and didnt complain at all when asked for more drinks or gravy and suggested a lovely dessert many thanks will be back soon !

Beautiful meal here on Sunday, all of our choices were delicious- Roast Beef, followed by Apple and Mince Pie Crumble for me. Staff were courteous, especially Zara who was lovely and friendly very informative about menu choices, happy to get more gravy, and just made the whole experience more enjoyable.

Had a great Sunday dinner, was good sized portion and was cooked really well. Our server, Zara, was lovely and really helpful.

A lovely cosy pub with period features and lots of old photos to look at. Fabulous food. Absolutely delicious! So full of flavour and presented nicely. We had the Signature Burger, and the Hot Beef Brisket Sandwich, followed by the Mango and Passionfruit Eton Mess, and the Sticky Toffee Pudding. We had booked a table in the dog friendly area and we sat in the upper section. It was quiet in this area as most people sat in the main area where there was an open fireplace. We ordrered our mains and desserts at the same time at the bar along with our drinks. (Ordering through the app is available too). Service was fast for our main course. It took a little while for our plates to be cleared and our desserts to be served. They were definitely worth the wait though! My Eton Mess was to die for! It has its own car park, with two disabled parking spaces.

Decided to give the 3 Crowns another try, last time was definitely poor. I was pleasantly surprised with quality of both service and product. Nice male served us quickly and with a very pleasant attitude. Food came quickly and was hot and very tasty. Beer was cold and enjoyable. Not a lot to say about atmosphere, temperature was fine, a nice open fire, just okay. The changes I noticed were all positive.

Although we were a table of 10 ,the food was of a poor standard and cold. I would say if you don't have the capabilities to produce the goods then do no accept the order .We gave you ample time and menu information (pre-ordered) all as requested. We couldn't do any more.

Nothing my mate was late because of the floods and he was coming from Wolverhampton and they understood this and didn't pester me at all after explained situation

A lovely traditional pub with an open fire. The perfect place to spend a wet and windy afternoon. The food and our server Zara was excellent.

Food and service is excellent here. However the ladies toilets let the venue down.. smell horrendous, a number of cubicles taped off, dirty sinks and no soap!

Busy due to the promo and we had to chase our drinks but the food was great as usual.

Went for Sunday lunch, personally not over impressed food not hot enough, neither the starter or main. The belly pork was delicious. The service was good, a new waitress on her 1st shift & apologising for making sure she was getting it right but slightly slow but told her we all have to learn & she was lovely & quite in control for the 1st shift, double chk'd our order, so w/done.

A warm welcome on arrival, prompt attentive service, a good selection on the lunchtime menu, everyone enjoyed themselves so thank you very much.

Food was microwaved and very ordinary. Servers need more training. Very pleasant but lacked service skills. Atmosphere was subdued.

Quite a few items on the menu were sold out. Steak, potato’s, olives and all pizza’s due to no dough. (I feel I might be missing something too) The menu is not extensive which I don’t mind but when you take off all the pizzas and garlic bread and the steaks. You left with a small option. Then I look at having sea bass but no potatoes so I could have it with chips. Who has sea bass and chips? I wanted olives to start and no olives. You missed out on a chance to increase our price per head. I ended up having a lasagna which was lovely but it’s not what I wanted originally. Lady who served us was lovely but we did feel rushed when she collected our mains in at 9:30pm and said the kitchens closed but I’ll ask if you can still have desserts. Overall it’s a nice evening but there’s definitely improvements to be had.

Lovely pub inside, managed to turn up on a Friday evening and get a table for 4 easily. Kids disappointed they ran out of pizzas. Portion sizes could have been better for the price you pay, had to ask for gravy for the Steak pie. Service was a bit slow, we had to ask for the table to be cleared after our main meal and for the dessert menu

We have visited here numerous of times and always been happy with the service and quality of food. However a visit at the weekend was extremely disappointing. Service was very slow even though there were only a couple of tables occupied. Since our previous visit the Kids Menu has changed dramatically. I feel charging £8.50 for 3 small pieces of battered fish(smaller than a fish finger) , a small pot of beans and a few veg sticks is excessive and to add insult to injury no orange squash (apparently none behind the bar) only blackcurrant to have the drink included in the so call deal, an orange Fruit Shoot was an additional £1!!! When we asked why the menu had changed and it was only an option to have chips or beans we were told by the waitress that it was Government Guidelines for calorie intake for children??? We asked if it would be possible to have some more beans to which she said she would get the manager. To be honest the managers customer service skills were debatable and when asking him if we could have some additional beans he stated he would have to ask the chef!!! It was at this stage after our starters being at best average (not as good as previous visits) we decided to leave (we did pay for what we consumed). We will NOT be returning.

I can't fault this place. We were a party of 6 for an early evening meal - even though we ended up staying all evening. The atmosphere was great for a meal with friends where we could easily chat over our meal. The food was excellent and the service was faultless.

Superb thatched pub with excellent food and changing guest beers which are kept in consistently good condition. Highly recommended.

Had a great visit to the three crowns on monday night , they had a great selection of drinks 🍺 , I would even go as far as saying they had the best draught options in the area. Service was fast ,atmosphere was great 👍 would recommend and would visit again

I called today to make a booking for christmas day. The girl who answered was very nice and explained because there 14 of us they only do tables of 8. Asked for 2 tables. A gentleman (?) Then came on the phone and literally said " what's the issue" I said there isn't an issue I would like to book 2 tables for Christmas day please. His reply- well you can but they won't be anywhere near each other. He was SO rude I still can't quite believe what happened. Needless to say we didn't make the booking. Maybe he was having a bad day but should still speak to customers properly.

First time we have been to this pub and upon arrival we were greated by a very friendly person who gave us excellent service. The food was excellent and well presented will return again
