Gnosall Fish Bar in Stafford

Not much about the atmosphere rather just your simple fish and chips joint. Was my go to lunch place every day as I was working from Gnosall. The food was freshly cooked using fresh ingredients. The staff were always happy and welcomed me with a smile. I'd usually just get a meal deal that came with a generous portion of chips either kebab or fish and a drink. Was enough food for two actually.

Thourt we would come and visit whole stoping on our boat at Norbury Junction. Fantastic fish and chips. And very reasonably priced. Parking to the rear of the chip shop.

I have frequented this chippy many times over the years as we pass the area in our narrow boat . I really have no say I don’t know of another chippy that can equal it . I honestly say this as I’m usually left feeling disappointed when I have been in my local fish n chips shop. North West area.

Freshly cooked fish and chips, burgers and kebabs. All reasonably priced and proper tasty 🤤

One of the best chippies in the district the choice is good and the prices are very reasonable and the staff are always pleasant and courteous.

Absolutely disgusting.!! £7.50 for a pie and 8 hard cold chips.!!! Not even the dog wanted them.!! AVOID..! It’s not worth the disappointment.

Food is very expensive here. £12 for three sausages, fishcake and small chips. Chips looked like cheap oven chips and were really greasy. Wouldn't go again.

Not bad at all, usually nice food but occasionally food is cold or slightly over kept. Staff are nice and portions are good. Just a shame it occasionally slips on the food. Only chippy in gnosall though so at least it's not too bad.

Chicken meat was mushy and greasy didn't taste good at all chucked most of it away

Disappointed! £7.50 for a fish that was tough to cut & chewy rubber to eat. Probably been sat there since lunchtime.

We always hope that when we visit that the chippy is open because it's really nice food . Will definitely go back and recommend to anyone.

Normally everything is okay but the last visit chips undercooked frying oil tasted burnt

All our meals (3) were delicious. Pie & chips, chicken breast & chips and chicken kebab & chips. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely visit again.

Been walking in the afternoon and called in for some very nice chips. Good amount and very fresh. Lots of people in when we were there. Carpark at back of shop. Bit tight if you have a big SUV so take care. A bag between us cost £2.40 and was enough for the two of us.

Good tasting food and friendly staff. A traditional fish and chip shop. Decent sized portions. Prices are fairly reasonable. Car parking spaces behind the chip shop are limited so you will struggle to find a place to park during the the busy times although there is some space on the opposite side of the road that some people use.

Food first class but extraction in need of improvement, smell stays with you.

Asked for two large fish, one medium chips, because they never had two large, he gave me one large and three medium fish., but they were all dried up, I think that those fish had been there a long time, 90 pc was thrown in bin. If you don’t see him fry it in front of you , don’t buy it is my advice. Terrible, worst chippy I have been to.

We have been using the Gnosall Fish Bar now for over ten years. The Gnosall Fish Bar has continued to remain open during the Covid crisis . The shop has marked out safe queueing lines on the floor and expect customers to wait behind the line to be served. The counter now has perspex screens up to help protect staff and customers . Sometimes we have had to queue outside so that social distancing can be maintained between customers. Really impressed by the customer care and service. Old review - A very good Fish and Chip shop - high quality fish, freshly cooked and mounds of chips. Friday night queues show how popular the place is!

We spent just 2 years in Gnosall . The Fish bar was one of the highlights . The best fish and chips I have tasted anywhere . And i have lived in lots of seaside towns over the years . We are back in scotland now and already missing you . Thanks for being open during most of lockdown and i do hope to see you again whilst visiting my daughter .

I wouldn’t buy anything from here, overpriced, small portions and some of the food questionable as to whether it’s been reheated from previous service. Staff are friendly that’s about all this place has going for it. Need to up your game Gnosall Fish Bar, used to be the chippy to go to.

Value for money when I buy food I don't like being hungry when I've finished, brought food from here several times and always some left when I'm finished, that's what I'm talking about

First time of using this chippy had some fish and chips sat outside in the car and really enjoyed them good chippy for sure.

Too expensive for the portion you get. The chips were bad, the peas were cold, the "large" cod was small and covered in extremely thick oily batter. Would not recommend.

Wow, simply perfection! We travel quite some distance to get to this chip shop & it's so worth the journey. From the warm welcome upon arrival, nothing is too much trouble. Everything is freshly cooked & such high quality! Very nice, clean establishment too.

Easy to find, its on the Newport Road, about 500m from the Shropshire Union Canal bridge. Parking available, packets of hot chips are supplied to the Shropshire Star canal boat which passes from Norbury Wharf, then through Cowley tunnel which is nearby.

This is the only chip shop in the Gnosall area. It's OK but sometimes the chips aren't always the best. They have a little car park at the back with about 5 spaces so when it is busy you can't park, though alot of people park opposite where there is some space but it can be difficult being on a main road. The staff seem nice enough but the food could be a bit better.
