I absolutely loved our visit to Monkey forrest for my birthday. We arrived at 10.30 am and got parked near the entrance. There is a generous blue badge parking area closest to the entrance. When we left at 1pm the car park was pretty full and a lot of cars were in the overflow parking. We went straight into the walk through and had a steady walk around waiting for the 11.15 feeding talk. We moved on because the only area we could watch the feeding talk was in full sun, and it was a very hot day. We thoroughly enjoyed walking around and taking pictures of the monkeys. We saw a very tiny baby We went to the cafe, and the inside seating was a little close together, which could make it difficult to get around with a wheelchair/ scooter /big pushchair if it's really busy. Me and my partner are plus sized (2xl/3xl) and we had to move chairs to fit between some of the tables. There was plenty of outside seating which was easier to get around. We didn't have kids with us but the play areas looked cool and I would definitely think about revisiting with my neices.

First time here, came with two wheelchair users. Not really suitable for wheelchairs and shouldn’t pay the full £15 due not being able to get up the steep hill, so not seeing the whole of the park. Very uneven paths. Was a great experience but a shame not suitable for wheelchairs.

Great visit to the Monkey Forest £15 per Adult entrance fee, perfect timing as it wasn't to busy. Staff were brilliant, It's run extremely well there's no physical interaction with the monkeys so your extremely safe if you follow the guide lines, however you get very close and the monkeys fully accept you being there and seem to just get on with what there doing. Onsite there is a gift shop. Cafe, toilets and plenty seating. Lovely stroll through the forest and as it was warm and sunny today it made it great afternoon. Big thankyou to all the staff. We would highly recommend a visit especially if you have children. Tickets can be acquired online might be worth a look to see if they are cheaper than paying at the gate as we did. Note parking is free and there's plenty spaces available.

A unique wildlife experience in Staffordshire, Trentham Monkey Forest is the only place in the UK where you can walk among free-roaming Barbary macaques. Set within 60 acres of ancient woodland, the forest is home to 140 monkeys, allowing visitors to observe their natural behaviours up close. The 1.2 km path is well-maintained and suitable for families, with informative boards and staff available to answer questions. Hourly feeding talks provide additional insights into the monkeys' diet and conservation efforts. The site also features a café, picnic areas, and a play area for children. It's an educational and enjoyable day out, though some visitors feel the experience may be brief for the price.

I recently visited your venue and found it to be an absolutely lovely and amazing place. However, I would like to suggest an improvement regarding the entrance area to see the monkeys. I believe it would greatly benefit disabled guests and families with very young children (ages 4–5 and below) if there were a separate entrance designated just for them. During my visit, I experienced significant discomfort due to the behavior of other guests. While queuing behind a family, a large group—including children aged 10+, teenagers, and even adults—began pushing and crowding around us. As someone with a disability, I was already in a lot of pain that day, and the lack of space and respect made the situation even more difficult. I nearly lost my footing, and there was a small child in front of me, making the situation even more concerning. It’s frustrating and disheartening that disabled individuals often have to endure these situations. I try to avoid going out when I know I’ll be in severe pain, but I shouldn’t have to stay home to feel safe or respected. I, like everyone else, deserve to live my life and enjoy experiences like these. I hope the management will consider this suggestion seriously and make changes to improve accessibility and safety for all guests.

Great concept and lots of opportunities to get up close to the monkeys. If you are interested in watching groups of monkeys then you could spend a few hours there, otherwise you could do it in half an hour. The talk given by the keepers is identical to what is on the signage and in the 20th anniversary guide book, so repetitive. If you are really interested in macaques, then there is not much to read and keepers struggled to answer questions. On a nice day there’s a playground and lots of space to run around. Toilets were clean.

A wonderful monkey park. The monkeys are completely free, there are no cages and they walk around the visitors. Of course, for safety reasons, you should not try to touch them. The monkeys are fed every hour and during this time one of the staff tells you about the park and the monkeys. You are free to stay as long as you want, take photos and videos. Pets are not allowed. Trentham Monkey Forest was ok. It’s a nice experience, but the actual walk among the monkeys is quite short. It’s worth a visit, but definitely not a place where you’d spend 3–5 hours like some reviews suggest. More like 1–2 hours tops. Still, it’s a pleasant trip, especially for kids.

Monkey Forest is beautiful! To see such amazing creatures in a natural environment, not in cages, and be able to walk among them is an absolute privilege. The staff are compassionate and knowledgeable, there is monkey feeding time every hour, with an interesting talk by staff. The only reason this review is not 5 stars, is despite the staff speaking about environmental destruction as a threat to monkeys in the wild, there are no plant-based meals in the cafe. Consuming meat is known to be one of the primary factors in the devastation of natural habitats. It would be great to see Monkey Forest showing their commitment to green values by reducing meat on their menu.

Could see the monkeys in natural setting, trees, stream and some clearings. Monkeys fed in different places every hour or so, so can practically guarantee fairly close sightings for younger children, but more fun to look for monkeys in trees/ further away. Path quite steep at one end but plenty of other spaces to explore with buggy and wheelchairs. Was impressed that conditions they lived in were close enough to natural settings that they could be reintroduced to wild fairly easily. Clear rules against eating in the enclosure but could go in and out during the day so could go to the cafe/ visit play areas etc and go back in. Was a shop and a cafe but no other stalls to encourage children to want stuff, and was impressed that you could go in and out without going through the shop. Also, although entrance fees for a single visit might be quite expensive for a family, an annual ticket looked like good value.

A great place to visit! Walking amongst the monkeys is quite the experience. You cannot really interact with them for safety, but they walk/run/feed and play all around you and it is basically their territory that you are free to be within. The price is reasonable as they need to look after the endangered species and I imagine that is not cheap. We did get a discount by searching online for discount codes. Great for photography and kids have a park to play on with picnic benches around it to chill after a walk with the monkeys. The walk takes around an hour and the monkeys are fed around every hour. You are free to walk around as many times as you like.

It came to £75. For something that only lasts about 30-40 mins tops - it's a bit too much. Besides that the monkeys are great and I guess the money would be worth it in summer when you can have a picnic.. But winter prices should definitely be lower than this. I guess everyone's gotta make their money.

Beautiful, gorgeous and an indescribable magical walk amongst the monkeys ❤️ I loved being allowed into the Barbary Macaque's forest home. As a pure animal adorer, I think the best part was that there was a distinct separation between humans & monkey - as in no feeding nor touching them - which is the way it should be. They just got on with their day as the humans watched in awe - unknowing of how special we think they are. Wonderful to see them in a natural forest environment too. Can't wait to go back ❤️❤️❤️
