Cracking trip out to the monkey forest. Easy to get a carparking space and was inside within 5mins. It's just a walk through the woodland with pockets ofo keys dotted around that can walk freely amongst you. Very informative and exciting. Great for the kids . We only spent about an hour as it was battering down with rain all the time. Monkeys didn't seem to bother.

What a stunning place. Rather than the monkeys being confined to cages, they are free to roam through the park. The speakers at feeding time seem to give the same talk, and when asked a question, don't seem to be able to go off script too easily. Still it's worth every penny and there's a great cafe on site. Wish there was more interactivity with the monkeys, but you've got to realise that they're wild animals, which you'll soon realise when one of them charges in your direction because he's heard a call from elsewhere.

For a place that offers carers tickets meaning to be with someone who has a disability it is not very good at understanding those with disabilities. In regards to purchasing tickets online beforehand you'd think they'd be a separate queue rather than waiting up to 20 minutes just to show them you're barcode whilst others pay and ask information it's a long wait and not ideal for those with disabilities

I think this place is great. I like the natural vibe. The monkeys are not at all bothered by humans and don't look to them for food as its policed so that noone can take food in. There are friendly informative people to work there who manage this. Staff all so friendly. Good facilities for babies and toddlers. Changing facilities and toilets very good. I feel like the cafe let's it down with hardly any vegetarian food hot options and just cheese bap for non meat sandwich. Although you do get alot in kids lunch and my portion of chips and beans was big and tasty. Feel like it's canteen style food. Could be so much better. I feel they could include the vibe of the place with it being about the monkeys. Like walls covered in pictures of monkeys and trees etc cafe rather than feeling like your in a school canteen. More vegetarian options rather than just sandwiches. Fish fingers option for kids rather than chicken nuggets ( sigh) and sausages. Where's the hot vegetarian option? Also no proper coffee on site only machine. So no oat milk lattes ! Sound like a coffee snob and I am. Sorry lots are! The parks are great for the kids. Lovely walk and great to be so close to the monkeys really enjoyed it.

Great way to spend a couple of hours. Best when there's no rain as it's all outdoors. 140 monkeys in total that roam around freely. There's ducks , squirrels and the birds around. Recommend listening to the feeding talk, only about 10/15 mins. You not allowed to touch or feed the monkeys. Good walking shoes needed. Only a small bit that's a bit uphill. A nice slow walk round about 90 mins. A very good play area for the little toddlers and a very good play area for the more grow up. Park is well looked after, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Plenty of free parking. Recommend buy online before arriving as it's a few pounds cheaper. Great park for young kids and adults. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved this place. My wife and I enjoyed it so much. We couldve stayed all day but had other things to do after but when we come back for a visit we will be spending more time. It was so nice to see the monkeys in a place that was so open and free for them to roam. You really wouldn’t see something like this in a lot of places! We managed to walk right in and buy tickets at the gate. The staff were all lovely. My only negative is probably the seating, would be nice for a bit more seating inside the actual monkey bit, I struggle to walk long distances so had to keep stopping and sometimes had to sit on the fence.

Had the best day at the Monkey Forest. It's fairly small but a lovely experience being able to walk amongst the monkeys roaming freely. They had regular feeding talks throughout the day and the staff were very approachable and friendly. My daughter asked a fantastic question during one of the feeding talks and the staff knowledge was both impressive and informative. We found the chief monkey in one of the two social groups and even got to see a few babies. As you go around there are a few lift the flap questions with multiple choice answers. We were lucky enough to get most of our answers to these questions during the feeding talk. It was a really good time of year to go (end of March) because it wasn't very busy today. This meant we got to see the monkeys well and had plenty of time to walk around without it feeling claustrophobic. The food was very decently priced and I was impressed that the hot drinks could be purchased in an Eco cup for just £5. This meant we got a drink and a souvenir all for a fantastic price. They also have 2 playgrounds, a pirate boat to play on, the Banana cafe and a small shop with a good selection of gifts and souvenirs. My pair absolutely loved visiting and we spent a good 4 hours here quite happily (although you can do it much quicker if you have time restraints). I would definitely recommend a visit. Lovely day!!

You will get far more out of your visit if you go on a 'dry' day. There is enough to fill 2-3 hours and there is also a shopping village about a mile down the road and Trentham Gardens as part of the Trentham estate. The monkeys roam freely and there is the opportunity to observe feeding times scattered throughout the day. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable. There was a very lively and enthusiastic member of staff who worked alone in the small workshop right at the end of the trail. She had a great rapport with children who seemed eager to share what they knew with her. The video clips and additional information areas were also interesting to visit. My 5 year old enjoyed the quiz boards that were part of the trail as it made her walk to the next one without complaining! It is not a long trail and young children should be able to manage the walk. The outdoor play areas are fantastic and well kept. My little one loved playing in the maze and taking part in some den building. Definitely great for an outdoor, hands on experience.

Great couple of hours. All the staff were so friendly and also extremely informative. The monkeys were great to see just being themselves, you can tell how well looked after these animals are and how much effort goes into creating a completely natural environment for them. Don’t need a full day there as it isn’t massive to walk around. But you can make it as long or as short as you want to as there is a cafe, kids play areas and walks around the outside and you are able to exit and enter the park as much as you like within the day. Would highly recommend.
