Appalling food - thought we would try this establishment following recent online reviews. We are flabbergasted that the reviews are good. I would probably guess the people concerned put their priority on the drinking aspect and not the dining experience. This was the worst food we have ever eaten whilst dining out. My husband had the steak pie, which was just about edible with soggy warmed up vegetables and dry warmed up chips. I had the steak and chips, the steak was rock hard like rubber and the chips were dry and warmed up. The only reason we did not complain was “what would they have done to the food had we returned same?”. Give this place a ‘wide berth’ if you are considering eating out.

Nice pub but service slow. Had bacon and cheese toastie By time it came it was very dry. Cheese had dried up. Bacon was tiny pieces and fatty. Couldn't really eat it. Prefer greggs toasties. Beer was good. Will come back again though.

2nd time we've ordered food here- Absolutely scrumptious 11/10 highly recommend a visit or 2 here

Popped in on Monday for a full English breakfast ordered the biggest breakfast and it was so good I went back today while I was in Durham shopping and once again the food was great the service was great I don't like hash browns and I asked if I could have something extra instead of them and they were happy to help with the request thankyou everything was perfect.

Went for food and a few drinks here on a Saturday midday and it was really nice, served by such a polite attentive young lady, bar staff were very friendly, amazing atmosphere, Definitely recommend here.

Called in after hospital treatment to cheer myself up with a full English Breakfast and was not disappointed. Good sized portion with 2 sausage 2 bacon 2 eggs mushrooms tomatoes hash browns beans n toast 👌🏻 All beautifully cooked and hot 🔥 Washed down with a cup of fresh coffee it absolutely hit the spot and lifted me up. Staff so friendly and so helpful as I had a fresh plaster cast on hand..

I may be sounding a bit old! But the music was too loud and we couldn't have a conversation. But as for when it isn't and the floor is not sticky from an England win, then it's a good place to go.

Popped in for some lunch when my train was cancelled. Just a few minutes after ordering some food then train service was reinstated and I was faced with a brisk jog back upto the station. After informing the staff that I no longer needed the food but to keep the money, they very kindly fast tracked my food order and put it in a take away box for me. I didn't ask or expect this and it was just really good of them. Food was good too!

We visited to watch football, however children can’t be in the pub after 5pm. Not a problem at all and we totally respect that but just a heads up for anyone taking children. Really good, informative and helpful staff, very busy and sport on TV is available. We’ll go again if it’s just the 2 of us!

Had a fantastic meal here and a few drinks. The food was excellent and reasonably priced with good portions and cooked to perfection. Received a warm welcome from Daniel who provided us with great customer service throughout the evening. Would recommend to anyone

Nice pub plenty of tvs with sports/racing on. Felt a bit of a regulars pub but welcome from bar staff was warm and Guinness was very nice.

We arrived this morning on a whim before heading to Blackpool for my hen do, food was lovely, very quick service with meals and drinks, staff were absolutely fantastic with us too! Assisted us with further pubs to attend in Blackpool and all round friendly atmosphere, honestly couldn't thank them any more!

Popped in for the first time this afternoon for a drink and bite to eat whilst shopping and will definitely be back. Dan who severed me was very friendly and helpful

Booked a table for 2 people for the 50% offer on Wednesday. Certainly didn't disappoint , a couple of lattes and 2 full English breakfasts . Filled us both up for the rest of the day . Staff where lovely and checked to make sure everything was fine, even took advantage of there new mixr app to earn points, to exchange for free food and drinks at a later date .

I have been a few times now and the food was always delicious but twice in 2 weeks I have been for a full English breakfast and it was awful. The plate was full of oil, this time it had what looked like burnt plastic and when I told the staff he laughed and said it was from the egg this was about 5cm long, quite thick and burgundy in colour. The egg its self was under cooked still "snotty" and didn't smell very nice. Needless to say I will no longer be eating here again.

What a great pub! Prices are really reasonable and the food was absolutely delicious. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will be back when in the area again!

Had a great afternoon of watching football & having a beer. Also chicken wings were nice, although advertised as hot, were just a little spicy 🤷‍♂️ Maybe worth considering moving dartboard away from door to smoking area

Nice and tidy inside. A little expensive though. As with other pubs with this brewery there's no "tech" allowed. Always find it ironic that despite this, they take contactless card payments 🤣

We arrived early on a Saturday, so hard to gauge and yet,really enjoyed an hour with a bottle of white and nice ambience, nice stret side area for smokers or views

We ordered festive Mac n cheese and two turkey pies. In both turkey meals the vegetables were lukewarm and the gravy was cold. The waitress apologised but on returning it, it was still cold. In the meantime the Mac n cheese came without turkey and when we went back to the bar and asked about it, the waitress went into the kitchen to speak to the chef and returned and said they didn’t have any turkey and would we like chicken instead, which then took ten minutes to arrive.

Absolutely love this place, friendly staff, gorgeous food, live entertainment is phenomenal! Three bridges never disappoints, see you again soon guys!!!!

Good service nice food well priced

Large, bustling pub. It's always busy which says it all. I took my family a few years ago, there were great deals on food and I see the current food deals well advertised outside. Sports being played on screens, which is why I don't go in, I like the cosy old 'haunted' type of pub but it's near the bus/rail stations so convenient for locals and shoppers.

Friendly and polite staff and good food. Really enjoyed the visit.

If you're walking through Durham city centre and want a pint, The Three Bridges is good enough. It's a chain, but the atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is good. But if you want more than a pint, I'd suggest going elsewhere. I've eaten here twice, and both times, the food has been deeply mediocre. It's edible and inoffensive, but curiously bland. Stick to the beer.

An everyday cheap and cheerful place to eat and drink. The 5 Oz steak which we ordered well done came with blood in it. Good selection of non alcoholic drinks. Difficult to rate this place, it is more of a drinkers place than an eatery from my experience. Basic every day food.

Love the food and the service was great would be more then happy to come back.

Basic pub grub and drinks but service with a smile, and very reasonable price wise. Special mention to Alisha who was very customer orientated, and was very pleasant.

Kids have to be out by 5 even if you are eating which seems very early for a tourist town. chicken tikka was 6 small pieces of chickens and not enough sauce to flavour the rice you got. Small plates are good value though and the burger was OK.

Had a lovely meal here with a group of friends. Jessica and nadene that served us were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Will definitely return

The only thing I didn't like was the music being way too loud,we had to raise our voices to be heardj, everyone in the place did the same causing a very loud atmosphere

Doom Bar never had it up here but I'm happy I can get it here .card nearly full for free one to great staff .

Late at night on a Monday so not really a good time to review. But here goes......only one Draught Ale available that wasn't a great drink. We didn't eat so can't comment. Seemed to be a cheap and cheerful student pub but of course Uni is finished now..

A truly "proper pub" in the centre of Durham, a city infested with expensive and pretentious hospitality sites. Would you pay £4.50 for a warm 330ml bottle of Peroni? Me, neither. This isn't that kind of place.. A decent selection of cask ales at good prices, and a superb atmosphere. Scott the manager runs a good pub! He has some excellent, down-to-earth staff with a good sense of humour. Recommended!

Pop in for a pint after work. Lovely stuff especially managers gabe and nadene. Food is decent, pints are even better. Love it.

Had breakfast here for three days in a row when we were visiting Durham. Full English for £6.95 . Two of everything so will will satisfy a big appetite. Good range of beers and lagers at reasonable prices. We weren't here at night so we don't know how busy it gets. Will return next time in Durham.

Delightful pub in the middle of Durham, a must stop if you are in town

The mixed grill was spot on. The gammon steak was the best I've had in a while. Lovely staff.
