Called in for a quick drink and something to eat food was served hot and on hot plates Place was clean and tidy and staff were very friendly

Stopped off for a bite to eat before heading home.I had the Southern Fried Chicken Skewers along with other family member as part of a mix deal and another had the salmon on same deal set. The order was taken quickly and food was not long in coming and warm. It was delicious enjoyed by all and Marie our server was delightful and very helpful.

Food was ok. Nothing to write home about Ultimate sharer had item missing with no offer of a replacement. Mains edible. Katsu banquet can only be described as beige. Service from one particular lady was atrocious. Won’t be back!

When here very nice and calm grate staff members had a chicken sandwich very nice josh who served us could been more nice.

Very relaxed and quick easy food, kids well catered for, steak was a little on the rare side when asked for medium but was a good thick cut! staff friendly and no complaints from a quick fly in visit!

Food was absolutely crap chicken wings cold and looked like they had been thrown on the pallet . nuggets where only just cooked and had no tast sauce was lukewarm and desert was cold when the fudge cake should have been hot

Incredible evening Kylie welcomed us really lovely welcome trying a taste of a drink before we brought it, we then sat and chose our food very good with my allergy taking it all in consideration which was incredible food came out so fast and piping hot i had the full Monty mix grill and my husband had the fish I have never tasted meat or fish quite like it everything was so tender and juice incredible will definitely come again thank you to all staff for making us feel so welcome.

Today's visit was brilliant, Stuart I find is great and you can tell really knows his stuff. I know thrashers have had its ups and downs but actually its improved a lot, the food now comes out hot which it didn't before, it still has its little things to improve on but you can see Stuart wants to correct all this. We come here a lot and spend a lot of money with them, and have a good repor with some of the staff like josh and a few others. But I would recommend this place to alot of people, you also get discount with the blue light card which is a bonus. The food I find is pretty decent some is abit iffy but the rest is lovely, the food comes out promptly so if you have kids, it's perfect but in case they are busy they have the playground outside to cater your children's needs. I had the full Monty and it was lovely, steak was cooked to how I like it, the eggs were lovely and not hard, had a lovely orange top to show the freshness of the egg. The price was even better

Venue advertised as showing rugby EPCR challenge cup matches. Arrived and was told they don’t show the games as they don’t subscribe to that channel. My group missed the game due to false advertising.

Visited the Thrasher on 12th March 2025 , there was 9 of us and we all had a fantastic meal, food all came out at the same time , pipping hot and very good quality, the staff couldn't do enough for us, we will be returning very soon !!

Lovely food, great atmosphere and super friendly staff especially shelby, was especially wholesome also as returning to childhood memories.

Came for lunch on Thursday, food was great, lovely and hot! My waitress Shelby was very friendly.

Unfortunately on this occasion the food was cold and pretty poor. The service was mediocre, the front of house staff did the job with no enthusiasm or interest. Guess all depends on the staff on the day. I was disappointed as I have have better here.

Visited the Thrasher today for an enjoyable Sunday lunch. Roast beef dinner was hot, freshly good and plentiful. Pub was busy with families but didn’t have to wait long on being served and food served quickly too. Good value for price paid Thank you Stuart and the team

Sunday lunch was exactly what we hoped for and to be welcomed with such friendly service and prompt food was a big bonus.

We visited a little late for our booking time after traffic held us up. The food was nice and very hot. Service was really quick from polite and kind staff. Stuart went out of his way to make sure our order would arrive in time for us to eat and still make our next activity on time. He was so helpful and showed a level of service that is rare nowadays. Would definitely return.

The Thrasher prides themselves on great food, great service and happy staff. I had the fish and chips and it was absolutely delicious! Reasonably priced too, topped off with a sports bar one end of the bar so we could play some pool or throw some darts. Definitely recommend going here for families, or friend groups. The atmosphere is so lovely.

Good food great price, quick service a little understaffed but efficient barman Will definitely visit again Maybe book a table not near the sports bar slightly noisy and a cold breeze everytime the door opens but welldone to staff

Ordered the "Quadzilla" burger out of intrigue for what a 2200 cal burger could look like. Its advertised as a double burger with two buttermilk chicken breasts, so I expected great things Wish I hadn't bothered. The burgers were about 30% fat and dripped hot fat constantly on to the plate. The chicken 'breasts' were not worthy of the word. They about 5mm thick strips of chicken about the size of half an actual breast, coated thick in what looked like breadcrumbs and deep fried to death. Truly disgusting, there was no taste of chicken at all, just grease. The meal was absolutely vile. Order this if you want a short retirement. Staff were great, service was fast, meal was hot

Went to Thrasher for lunch on Sunday, we had a table of allergies but were well accommodated by the staff who were really considerate and professional. Thank you especially to Stuart who clarified everything with us throughout our time there.

Best pub i’ve been to: Stuart has been amazing. But the only problem is it shuts at 11. Juke box and 1am close would perfect this lovely pub.

Went for a meal last night, great food, great staff, service was quick all staff were so friendly and happy to help, had the chicken mix it up with Caribbean sauce and it was delicious great value, overall a great experience, will 💯 be revisiting

For what you pay is what you get with a Hungry Horse. No issues, played darts and pool with food. Would happily visit again for a catch up with a mate.

Usually go here once a fortnight to lunch with a friend. The food is generally good and there are lots of offers to be had. This week we were paying just £10 for 2 meals. These are full size meals and our Hunters Chicken was really good.

Been here many times now, lovely place with good food that comes quickly. Price is very fair. Staff are friendly. Tables can sometimes be in need of a clean but it’s become somewhat of a norm, not enough of a bother for me to lower star rating. Love this place!

Not the best of starts when there’s a notice,”No fish products available “ how can this be? Why couldn’t they have gone to one of the numerous supermarkets nearby to purchase some? We ordered steak, medium rare, when it turned up it was so rare it could have walked off the plate, couldn’t even get a knife through it it was so tough, although it was changed for another one, the plates arrived with at least 50% less chips and peas, no one came around to check it was alright, It took over an hour from the 1st meals too arrive until the last on turned up, although there was 14 of us there’s no way it should have taken that long. One of the children’s meal had sausages which looked as if they had been reheated several times,don’t know if it had but that’s what it looked like,couldn’t be bothered to go and complain again. I think it will be a long time before I return to this restaurant

Mad busy but didn’t stop staff finding and cleaning a table when we arrived. Food was perfect for what you want with 3 boys under 8 and dessert was a must! Bar staff extremely helpful even reminding us to put our reg in to avoid a ticket! All round great service!

Good reasonably priced food. Served in an acceptable time with piping hot food that was well cooked. A very good selection on the menu to choose from.

On arrival we had a warm, friendly welcome from managers & staff. Prosecco was served as a welcoming drink. We were then taken to our table which was stunning, it had individual name cards with our menu choice on the back, Christmassy Crackers, party poppers, gifts for children guests. The staff were attentive giving us time between meals when needed. We had three courses , Starter king prawns and smoked salmon on bed of lettuce with granary bread, Traditional Turkey, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing, roasted parsnips, braised red cabbage, cauliflower cheese, carrots, sprouts gravy. Desserts were Christmas pudding and gingerbread cheesecake with icecream. The food was delicious, hot, tasty and top restaurant quality. We went for our annual staff Christmas Meal and it was great. Excellent value for money, lovely, prompt, and courteous service. The landlord was very helpful, generous and thoughtful. Thoroughly enjoyed by all 😊👍

Pre ordered a Christmas meal for a catch up with a friend. Good value and staff were all lovely and even made sure we had the table we had requested. Been here a couple times recently after being out off a few years ago and this pub really has had a turn around- good quality of pub grub and value off money. Have spoken to several staff here over some visits and they have all been really friendly.

Lovely meal with great service!

I recently went to the Thrasher with family to celebrate my birthday and we all had a lovely time, there was a large choice of food on the menu so there was always going to be something for everybody’s choice. When the food arrived it was lovely and hot and very tasty, none of us had any complaints and there was definitely no food leftover! The dessert menu was fine and again the food was delicious. The service was faultless, the staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The restaurant was lovely and clean and bright. There are plenty of free car parking spaces at the Thrasher and we will definitely return again in the future.

Unfortunately we couldn't have fish &chips because the fryer wasn't working.Had New York Chicken, onion rings,chips &peas. One of the toilet cubicles didn't have a lock on it.
