The Thai Garden Cafe in Greenwich

Came for dinner here not too sure what to expect, and were delighted with our experience. With many vegan options available, the food was super flavourful and tasty. The service was great with the manager happy to talk to all customers and really spend time with you - even gave us a free bottle of wine. Brilliant food, brilliant atmosphere, will definitely be returning!

As a local thought I’d give this place a try as it states “cooked by Thai’s” Unfortunately it did not taste or look authentic the Pad Thai was tasteless and gelatinous small bits of beef in the red curry and the sticky rice was hard also it was very expensive for what it was. There are plenty of better Thai restaurants along this road avoid this one.

I very rarely write reviews but this is our 2nd vist and I thought I should say how great this place is. Its a little hidden gem in Greenwich, you park nearby on the street. It's bring your own drinks so it's much better value for money. The prices are very reasonable and having been to the O2 (what was the millennium dome) this little Cafe is outstanding quality and brilliant value for money. I've been to Thailand before and this food is the exactly the same as it is out there. The service is a good speed but there is no feeling of being rushed. I can fault the place, of you like Thai food it really is worth a try. Its so much better than a chain restaurant. 10 out 10

Went in today to order some dishes. We love all dishes. Larb pork is spot on. Spicy prawn salad is very fresh. Drunken noodles is so yummy. Kra Pao Kai is so tasty. We will surely come back. They have some more seating at the back in the lovely shed! Thanks for wonderful meal!!

Enjoyed a great meal. Just two of us, very friendly service and really tasty food, served in a relaxed setting at a very reasonable cost. We looked around the area for a vegan meal and almost fell on this restaurant by chance. Really glad we found it. A gem of a restaurant.

Small, interestingly decorated Thai cafe. Great service. Simple straight forward menu, tasty, reasonably priced food. We shared the mixed platter for starter; delicious. Followed by a pork and a chicken green curry; a tiny bit too sweet but delicious flavour. Great to be able to take our own wine; no corkage. Cash only, but cash machine nearby. Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you; we'll be back.

Excellent and authentic thai food, simple clasic menu but the service is attentive and the food is never disappointed, mixing quality flavour and ingredients which will remind you of your visits to Thailand and south east Asia. Highly recommended

We have been their customers since they were only on Greenwich Market. Then we have visited Thai Garden Cafe after their recommendation. Very tasty Thai food much better than some expensive restaurants.

We were going to eat here for my Dad's birthday meal. He had actually been in personally earlier in the week to check out the restaurant and to book a table. He had booked a table for us to sit in the garden. When we arrived the attitude and reception we received from the manager was appalling. He was putting a table together inside. When questioned why we couldn't sit in the garden where we had booked he was extremely rude and said 'look in the garden'. There was nothing wrong except other people eating in there, so no space!!! But we had booked for outside. When we voiced our annoyance, he responded by saying 'you'd be doing me a favour if you didn't eat here'. It's appalling behaviour to treat your customers like that.

My husband was looking for somewhere a bit different to have his birthday dinner with friends and family. He went to check out Thai Garden earlier in the week, when the owner was charming and pleasant, so hubby booked a table for 7pm, in the garden, for tonight. When we turned up just before 7pm, we were told we couldn't be in the garden. We were just told: 'Have a look in the garden!'. The garden was full of diners. When I questioned why he hadn't reserved a table in the garden for my husband's birthday dinner as booked, no reasonable explanations were given, so I suggested we go somewhere else instead. To which his reply was: 'It would be easier for me if you went somewhere else. Charming! Needless to say, we did.

It was my one of favorite place. The food was nice and the staff used to be nice. I went to the place and i wanted to sit garden. I asked to staff but she said “WET.” She didn’t say whole sentence just say one word. I felt quite bad but i like thai food so i hold it. And i enjoyed the food and wine with my friend. I spent 1hr 30min. Unfortunately i saw the staff pointed at us and talked with owner. The owner saw us as well. I felt really uncomfortable. I have no idea why she behaved like that. No waiting customers and No busy that time.. I came several times but I won’t visit again. The staff was really rude. But it’s good with your own drinks. They don’t charge the drinks. And quite authentic thai food. Happened to stumble across this Thai restaurant. Does not look like much but boy, the dishes are delicious! We had a green curry, a yellow curry and a Yam beef salad, all very good. Try to get a table in the garden at the back of the restaurant, it looks lovely (was sadly fully booked on our visit). Good value, paid about £17 per person incl. starters, mains and soft drinks. Alcohol not sold here, but you may bring your own. Cash only (cash point down the road outside Tesco‘s).
