Our favourite Indian restaurant by far. Service is excellent and very friendly. Food is fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Lovely modern Indian restaurant, we come here regularly for our family gatherings and celebrations. Food is always fresh and tasty. Staff are very attentive and polite they do not rush you, they allow you to take your time and enjoy the evening together. Would highly recommend for the amazing food and pleasant experience 😋

Both curries were so good and the rice. I wouldn't order onion bhaji again as they were dry but everything else was spot on. Will definitely order again

Had to find a new Indian Restaurant after my previous one increased their prices and minimum delivery by almost double! I tried several in the area and after many false starts I found Cafe Eltham and have been very happy.

The food arrived hot and was very tasty.

Well where do i start. Had a takeway delivered on time so That was ok. The problem I've got is that, the food fell very short on every count. King Prawn puree, puree bread was chewy and not Crispy as should be the sauce itself was good enough. Chicken tikka starter Lacked flavour tandoori Marinade did not infuse the chicken therfore lending itself to a bland tikka. Onion Bajji dry over cooked and most certainly stale. Was given 2 pots of Mint sauce again not much flavour there either quite watery, and the second pot was acidic which means it is on the turn. Naam Bread was good and so was The Poppadom. I'VE Been using this place for years I'm writing to Let you Boys know that I know you can do loads better. I hope you will Take this review on the chin and Look into the faults on those dishes And look to rectify. Good luck, hope to catch up soon

This is the 4th time I’ve ordered from here after giving up with Cafe Raj’s offers. I can honestly say that the food is 1st class, completely on point, huge portions of super flavourful veg and chicken. Delivery was within half hour of ordering. 100% positive!

My favourite curry house in South East London. Friendly service, consistently great food, good portion sizes. We've only eaten in once but takeout is regularly high quality (we drive to collect as it's outside of our delivery zone - proof it's good!).

Place has gone downhill. Lamb was tough, naan was dry and hard. No flavour in the rice or curry

Shop is small, nice, and neat required little push up and renovation Food is non spicy, and it is good and warm, not a taste that you go specially for. But I can't complain about it and say it is bad. Overall, it was okay

The place lacks any “Indian” atmosphere. For some strange reason I am looking at a wall with. Swedish beach huts. Food was ok, portions in the small side esp the nan bread. I had already sat down when I was given the dirtiest or and worn out menu…. Upon leaving the restaurant I made a comment to the manager about the tacky menu … shocked at his answer “ my customers like the tacky / dirty menu. I left saying I will not visit. Imagine what else goes on here.

Food arrived stone cold and missing items. naan seemed like it was from the day before as it was so hard. The restaurant never updated our order to let us know the food was on its and when I asked the delivery driver why he didn't read our sign to say to call and not knock (we have a very poorly dog who is recovering from major surgery, which I told him, as does the sign say) "well don't order from us again then" Aside from the delivery experience, after tasting the food, you can be rest assured that we definitely will not be.

I was extremely pleased with my order ; Tandoori King Prawn which arrived with roasted peppers and onions and also a fresh green salad. I also ordered a Chicken Curry, Pilau rice, Poppadoms and sauces/dips. All absolutely gorgeous, big thumbs up. Will definitely order from here again :)

One of the best Indians I’ve ever had the food was so tasty the only down fall was the chicken was a little hard but other than that I would ordered again 5 stars and the little fella that brought my food was an absolute delight

Onion bhajis were dry,hard and burnt. Chicken was very dry and the tomato in the sauce was overpowering.

We use Cafe Eltham not only to go with friends to eat but also for Takeaway meals. They never fail to disappoint with the standard & taste of their food.❤️👏

It has become very bad here. Food is pretty terrible. Chicken is clearly frozen and poor quality, always tough and flavourless. Rice and breads always have some sort of earthy taste or like they have used some sort of disinfectant spray on it. Had bad wind long into the following day after eating. I really don't understand how such restaurants can pride themselves on the poor quality.

I travel from Kent on (at least) a fortnightly basis to visit Cafe Eltham, the food is absolutely incredible and it’s so inexpensive. Well done to all the team, I’ll see you next week

It’s not my favourite Indian in SE9 but it’s pretty solid and consistent food and my boys prefer it. Food was ready in time for collection.

My Wife and I have been using this place for a very long time, this is by far the most superior food of this genre that we have ever had, absolutely superb,we never go anywhere else as nothing you can get elsewhere compares to the food that they serve here,I recommend booking,as this place is getting more and more popular

Poor experience initially with mixed up take out order, but decided to give them another try. Ordered lamb - instead of a rich saucy dish it turned out to be an incredibly dry tasteless chicken tikka. The pillau wasn't what I expected - rice was dry and chewy - either undercooked or days old. Nothing looked or tasted fresh.

I've used this place for years but I think they have new owners, or completely new staff, and it's lost something in the transition.

Best curry in the area. Smells delicious as soon as you open the door, which is always a good sign. Staff are lovely and we had a fantastic meal here.

This review is for a takeaway so I can’t comment on the restaurant itself, but the food was absolutely sensational, every dish. Even the mango chutney seems homemade. I highly recommend the chefs special dish with lime (I forget the name) and the kids were all over the mango chicken. Highly highly HIGHLY recommended

Waited nearly 2 hours.. food didn’t turn up. No communication from the restaurant and then was told food was delivered which it wasn’t!!terrible service

This is my local and I love it! Lovely staff, yummy food and they are consistent with the quality of their food.

Food was fine. My son likes their bright red Tikka Masala but otherwise good is just average. Service was decent enough and ready on time.

after a few dodgy meals during lockdown, we decided to give our previously favourite takeaway another go. Oh dear, the chicken in every dish was so dry and hard. Obviously previously cooked and reheated. The sauces as always were great. Such a shame. At these prices, the chicken should be cooked to order, and if it really was, stop 10 minutes before you you actually did.We also used the order online function. So the takeaway was ready when we collected, earlier than suggested. So a bit cold, didn't dare heat up as the chicken was so tough.

I placed an order on Uber Eats, the restaurant called me to confirm my address which I confirmed, he then went on to tell me I have to come down to get the food when it arrives and they will not come up. I told him I have a newborn baby in the flat so I can't and he advised me he would have to cancel my order. Absolutely disgusting.

ordered 6.45, delivery time given as 1935-1955. NO UPDATES at all. Called at 2005 to be told - still cooking- WHAT? arrived 20.25 - apology but no refund or free stuff. Totally absurd. Food only average

Despite the late delivery, my order had to have no nuts in which I contacted the restaurant for. They were clear, honest and willing to make the order. My order came nut free and tasted great.

The food’s really not what it used to be. The lamb is very tough now & was over cooked. I also stopped ordering the chicken chaat, not as good as it used to be. Also don’t like the fact if you live in a flat you have to come down to collect the food, yet being charged for service

Hands down the best Indian we have ever had, so many good dishes always cooked to a beautiful finish, nice thick sauces, generous portions and attentive staff. 👌

The meal was great! Rice was tasty, fluffy and the meat was very tender. The order was good for the price. Plenty to eat. I could only eat a onion bhajis as i became full so i gave the other one to my cats they loved it too. I have a naan bread and a bit of rogan josh and some salad left over i have that tomorrow, maybe for breakfast 😁

Cafe Eltham is an Indian restaurant in Well Hall Road. Adjacent to the Well Hall Tandoori, Eltham Cafe is in my opinion the better of the two, with better, more spicy seasoning. Being relatively local it's a regular haunt. Have always had good service and pleasant food.
