I've been here several times, but today was the worst. I went there and ordered food, and the chowmein was the worst. We asked for chilli, and I'm not sure if he was the owner or a waiter, but the guy suggested to put chilli flex pickle (we asked for green chilli), which we accepted. Now it's time for thali, and I'm not sure why the quantity of rice is so less, it wasn't even a single feast. we asked the waiteress and she said we could have as much as we wanted. When we asked for rice, the waitress claimed it would generally take 3 minutes, but it took 6-7+ minutes to arrive which was really bad. Finally, in frustration, I cancelled extra rice because it was taking a long time. Later after paying we saw they charged us additional money for extra rice, 2.49 pound for that less rice? Really you guys are taking 2.49 pound for that quantity rice, and it was a plain rice. Really really bad experience. Never visiting again. Thankyou for the service.

This place in Woolwich is sheer joy! Stopped by for dinner and ordered the following dishes - Chilli chicken momo (the best), chilli chicken fry (amazing), crazy chicken (great), chicken and pork chowmein (good noodles) & chicken curry with rice (delicious). All the dishes were fantastic and bursting with flavors. We also ordered their Nepali beer - Gurkha and that tasted amazing. All in all loved our dinner at Kailash Momos and highly recommend everyone to eat when here when in the area.

Just visited the place today - 1st Nov 2024 on a trip to London with wife and kids. We were staying over in Woolwich Arsenal and wanted to have a quiet dinner but something different .. found this on google search and decided to give it a try .. should say we were not just happy but extremely happy with the quantity … quality .. taste and pricing of the food at Kailash .. their steamed momos was yummy .. their crazy chicken was mind blowing .. their chowmein for the kids perfect .. their fried chicken momos was the right taste for our daughter and the final mixed fried rice was a nice ending to the meal .. to add .. their mango lassi and the Tibetan beer was nice to top it off .. one of the best meals we have had in a while .. which was a perfecting ending to a long hard day walking around London .. thanks to the staff for the exceptional service and recommendations as well .. If we come over to London again .. this would be a place we might not want to miss ..

We had the thali set and fried momos. Momos were delicious, but found the set food somewhat lacking - potato and broccoli pots a bit bland, the yellow dhal was nice but lamb quite tough and mostly just bone. However, great value for money for the price. If I was a local, I’d recommend it and probably make it a regular. But nothing special worth travelling out to Woolwich for

Best nepali food we've out outside of Nepal! Lots of great vegan options. While things aren't marked vegan on the menu, there are lots of vegan options on it (staff were very helpful and reassuring with this), and lots of veggie stuff can be made vegan without sacrificing key ingredients. We've been multiple times and have loved everything we've eaten, only place we've found in London that equals what we ate in Nepal. Dherai dherai dhanyabaad!

The price is so cheap and reasonable for the amazing food they offer and solid portion sizes. I love the curries, the fluffy steamed bun, the momos are amazing and a must. The pani puris are also very nice. The whole menu is great. The vermicelli soupy curry dish is amazing too. Honestly everything here is so nice and it’s so affordable. Mango lassi is very nice. This was my first time trying Tibetan food. I had seen the place on a friend's Instagram account and had read good reviews, so I had quite high hopes. Despite this, I was not let down, and I was very pleasantly surprised. I had a few dishes in mind that I definitely wanted to order, but we also asked the waiter for a few recommendations, and he was extremely friendly and helpful. He even informed us that we may be ordering too much, so we reduced our order size. For our starter, we had the steamed chicken momo. I'd had many other types of dumplings (Chinese, Japanese, etc.), but this was also very nice. The dumpling skin was slightly thicker than others of similar shape, and the meat inside was juicy and had a nice flavour that it was possible to eat them as is. However, it came with a red, tomato based sauce, which went perfectly with it to enhance its flavours. For my main, I ordered the lamb thenthuk, which was recommended by the waiter over other noodle dishes. The broth had a slightly subtle yet delicious flavour. Initially, when I had just the noodles, I felt that the flavour was not enough, however, when I mixed it together with the meat and the vegetables, they soaked up more of the flavour of the broth that the whole dish was delicious. The noodles felt fresh, and the meat was tender and juicy. Overall, I very much enjoyed my experience at Kailash Momo. The inside of the restaurant is not too big, but it has a nice, cosy feel and the food was excellent. Also the prices were all very reasonable. Therefore, I would definitely like to return again to try more of their dishes.

This place offers casual dining. 4 stars because we tried a lot of things here and the only thing we weren’t satisfied with was Momos! The steam momos was below average - had really less chicken filling and felt like we were having only the outer layer (which felt dry). The jhol momos were average too. Momos in that was good but the curry was questionable. The chaat was soggy, but really spicy. If it was crispy and fresh - it’d have been great. Some things were must try - I’d highly recommend the chilly chicken momos, chilli chicken, chilli paneer, and mango lassi. It was really good and worth it. Mango lassi > plain lassi. Overall the atmosphere was nice, however the service was too slow. Suitable for families with kids, and friends hangout.

Kailash Momo has become our favorite spot for lunch, and for good reason. As a Nepalese restaurant, it offers an authentic and delightful dining experience that keeps us coming back for more. The star of the menu has to be their chicken momos—probably the best we've ever had. Each bite is a perfect blend of tender chicken and flavorful spices, wrapped in a delicate, perfectly steamed dough. They are simply unbeatable. Our toddler loves it. The staff at Kailash Momo are incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome and well taken care of every time we visit. The service is superb, consistently attentive and efficient, enhancing the overall dining experience. In addition to the amazing momos, we highly recommend the chowmein and fried rice. My impressions of the British interpretations of Tibetan cuisine were poor. During my first visit, I was overwhelmingly disappointed by the country and its Tibetan restaurants’ unnecessary adaptation to Caucasian appetites. However, I was thrilled to have a taste of what Kailash has to offer. Their “chatpate” and “chilli chicken” were so authentic and flavorful in taste that I felt right at home in Nepal, eating the food that I once so gluttonously devoured. I only wish the very best for the restaurant staff and owners and thank them for their service and hospitality. TD

Little overrated for momos..all the momos were filled with very little fillings and it was falling out..the sauce is biggest disappointment ..if anyone has had real momo knows sauce is the king and their sauce is not even hot sauce..i understand it might be not for all but atleast have a options for those who want proper momo sauce. We liked the other food but since its famous for momos and that is not good experiences.. Recommendations: Have a proper hot momo sauce as an option for those who want it. And increase filling in the momos.

First time we dined here. The restaurant street look isn't striking, I would say below average. The inside is clean and it welcomes you with gold which I believe it's very traditional, nepalese decor. It's all in gold and it's a bit overwhelming given that the restaurant is rather small one. The overall impression is saved by the full size back wall mirror which creates "extra space". If you're dining as a family or a small group of friends you could feel quite cosy and comfortable though. In general the food was very tasty. I love meat dumplings (pork especially) and spring rolls. I think dish sizes are just right so you don't struggle to finish it off without overloading. I had lamb curry which I found a bit disappointing. The meat in my curry sauce was just chopped bones with very little meat attached to it. I would say there's more bones than meat in it. The taste was ok but the meat was chewy. I wouldn't order it myself again or recommend it. And I think around 40 min waiting time for it was too long to. On good side is that the prices are really affordable.

Tibetan and Nepalese cuisine. I have been wanting to try Kailash Momo for years. The reason I was eyeing this place was because I was looking to try thukpa noodles and this was one of the restaurants that had it. In the end, I went to Urban Yak for my thukpa fix. As I was in the area, I went to Kailash Momo for lunch which was a really good decision because the menu had a good spread from momo dumplings, thukpa, thenthuk to Tibetan butter tea. The menu was so comprehensive that it was really difficult to decide what to have so had to make two visits. Interestingly, some of the noodle dishes are similar to Chinese but cooked in a different way. Here is what I tried: Laphing: These were delicate thick noodles made of mung beans, they were so difficult to eat because they kept slipping and breaking. The noodles were in this delicious garlicky broth topped with fried chilli so it was quite spicy, apart from that I seriously liked it and found them similar to Sichuan jelly noodles. Phingsha: This was soup with mung bean vermicelli, potatoes and vegetables, it was nice but there were more vegetables than noodles. Authentic ones have dried mushrooms as well but I was not particularly impressed with the vegetables here because they were the obviously the frozen ones. Thenthuk: This was pulled noodles so it was like pieces of square noodles in the soup. Overall, it was nice because the soup was flavourful. Sel roti (Nepali: सेल रोटी): These were crispy sweet rice rings served like a thali or set with potato salad, spicy sauce and salad. The rice ring was a bit disappointing because it was too oily and not chewy or perhaps I was comparing it to a Sichuan sticky crispy rice cake. However the potato salad was so good because it was savoury and different. Jhol momo: The dumplings were a bit boring because I have had better ones before. I also had the butter tea which was nice and savoury, unfortunately I forgot to get a picture.

Tried different types of momo’s, loved it! But Jhol momo was my favorite. The ambience is not super great but the food does justice 😁

While in London, at Kalaish Momo, we ate very well cooked dishes with love, warm welcome, low prices, fast service. So satisfied we went back the next day.❤️

I enjoyed the Thali set I ordered but the pork rib and ginger tea drink were not so good. The price was quite reasonable though. Now you have to write down the order yourself. The food was okay, but the portions were small. I have to say that I am very impressed with their takeaway standard. The food was well cooked and packed. The plastic container is good quality that you can use to reheat with a microwave and recycling instead of the cheap plastic that you get from takeaway usually. I will order the takeaway again for sure!

We had a great time at Kailash Momo. I had been craving Chicken Momos for quite sometime now and found this gem. The food was amazing but there were some disappointments as well. The egg chowmein was not at all upto the mark. It barely had any egg and the taste was 👎🏻. It was bland and was lacking taste and texture. Jhol momos are momos that are drowned in a bowl full of broth/gravy. The broth is supposed to be spicy but sadly, at this place, it was not. The texture was grainy and did not feel good in the mouth. Other dishes such as chilly paneer, chicken steamed momos and chicken fried rice was bang on! One weird thing - there was a really tiny pebble (we call it Kankar) when I took my first bite of the fried rice but other than that, the taste of the fried rice was really nice! I would love to go to this place again to try their thaali and fried momos. Majority of the people there were ordering the thaali so cannot wait to be there again! Also, highly recommend to have a reservation before hand or else it’s super difficult to get a table.

Came for dinner here not too sure what to expect, and were delighted with our experience. With many vegan options available, the food was super flavourful and tasty. The service was great with the manager happy to talk to all customers and really spend time with you - even gave us a free bottle of wine. Brilliant food, brilliant atmosphere, will definitely be returning!

We recently visited the UK from Malta and had the pleasure of dining at Maya DDS Restaurant. The food was exceptional and brought a real taste of Nepal! We ordered Biryani, Chicken Jhol Momo, Chicken Chilli, Chatpate, and Chicken Chowmein, and each dish was absolutely delicious—full of authentic Nepali flavors and spices. Thank you to the chef for the wonderful food; you truly made our day and put us in a great mood! The service was good, but the quality of the food was outstanding and made our visit unforgettable. We look forward to returning for another great meal on our next UK trip!

The food was quite good overall, but I had specifically requested to have the coriander removed. Unfortunately, I could still taste it in the spring roll. When I mentioned this to the staff, he insisted that there was no coriander in it.
