Visited for a family meal. Absolutely beautiful setting on a beautiful day. The staff are very friendly and chatty even though they were extremely busy. Starters were very tasty and the majority of our main meals were lovely. The one issue was the person who ordered Bangers and Mash was left sorely disappointed by their food. Two sausages on a lump of mashed potato with onion gravy. Nothing else. No veg. Two very small sausages. This was nowhere near enough to justify the price of £12. This option could be reviewed. Otherwise a lovely setting and decent food.

We booked a Sunday lunch here yesterday, and both of us enjoyed it very much. Meat was a good quality, lots fresh veg & an additional jug of gravy was provided. It is a very pleasant dining room, and service was good. Only complaint was, we had no room for dessert. We will definitely be returning.

A rainy dull December Sunday was surely brightened up with lunch here. Rushing in out of the rain to welcomed by friendly helpful staff and blazing log fires. Just what was needed to keep out the winter weather. The bar area is cosy but airy and a pre-dinner drink prepared us well for our three course lunch. The restaurant area is in The Orangery and again a blazing log fire added atmosphere and warmth countering the Christmas chill. The menu was table d'hote with enough choices to satisfy everyone. Starters were varied and portion size was more than adequate, I went for the ham hock with toasted sourdough and piccalilli although I was tempted by the oysters, the gravlax and the wild mushroom risotto. Mains were traditional, roast beef, turkey (well it is that time of year), lamb, various fishes or vegetarian. Beef was a popular choice and my only gripe is we were asked how we liked our beef and it was pretty much served all the same which was medium to well when our orders varied from rare to well done. The Yorkshires were generous and well cooked and the array of vegetables was way more than we could manage and included cauliflower cheese, carrots, peas, broccoli, mashed swede, parsnips and roast potatoes. The gravy was also plentiful filling a huge boat! Desserts were a delight and I opted for the cheese board which both with exceptional presentation and content was superb and here is somewhere that actually gives you enough biscuits for the amount of cheese supplied. The board also included a generous bunch of grapes, slices of apple and onion relish, a sublime ending to a scrumptious Sunday lunchtime. My friends for today's meal had all dined here before so I was expecting it to be half reasonable at the very least, that was far surpassed and I will definitely be returning.

We were a party of four - me, my partner, my teenage daughter, and her friend - staying in one of the lodges a few minutes' walk from the restaurant. We were looking forward to a meal out on the terrace but unfortunately it was spoiled by a couple of bad dishes and awful customer service. We ordered 1 x hake, 1 x cod, 1 x plant-based burger, 1 x tofu & spinach arancini linguine, and 1 x focaccia & olives. I ordered the food at the bar, and paid at the same time. There were disappointing things about the meal (e.g., the salt and pepper were pouring rather than ground, the large bottle of sparking water had not been in the fridge, and we were not offered parmesan for the linguine), but there were two aspects that were particularly poor: 1) my daughter's plant-based burger was like a bad frozen supermarket one with thick cheap-tasting cheese; and 2) the "focaccia" consisted of three small dry pieces of toasted stale bread (nothing like focaccia). I took the "focaccia" back into the bar, and said I'd like to return it as it wasn't anything like focaccia. The waiter said he would take it back to the kitchen. A few minutes' later, a female member of staff brought the "focaccia" back out and asked (quite confrontationally) what the problem was. I told her, and she retorted that it WAS focaccia and had been homemade. I said, well okay then, but it is nothing like any focaccia that I've either made myself (we make lots of different kinds of bread at home) or eaten in any Italian (or other) restaurant. Focaccia should be moist, a bit cake-like, and have a touch of olive oil - this so-called focaccia was very dry, stale-tasting, had been toasted, and didn't even look like focaccia. No apology was offered. In fact, she was curt and unfriendly. She asked if we still wanted the olives (they came with the bread) and I said no, we'd like a refund for the dish. Again, no apology, or offer of anything else. This was such an odd response. If she had responded in a positive and friendly way, we would have ordered more drinks and puddings, and might have returned for a second visit. It seems strange for her to act this way over a £4.95 dish when we had spent £90 on the meal. We got the £4.95 returned - although we had to go to the bar to get it - but the attitude of the staff really put us off this place, and spoiled our meal.

Food, especially the fish, cooked to top restaurant standards, yet pub prices. I had fillet of Hake, with new potatoes and peas with a samphire butter. It’s rare, speaking as a chef, to find a kitchen/chef who can cook fish properly!! This is the second time I’ve been here and both times the food has been consistently brilliant!! The food that the rest of my party had was also praised highly!

We were staying in the area and read the reviews of this restaurant. Sadly our expectations of a great dining experience - one AA rosette promised much - were largely dashed. Staff were less than welcoming, the bar area felt like a doctors waiting room and the soulless restaurant smacked of what it is, a golf course eatery. The fish of the day, hake, was ok but chips and peas were tasteless. The fish and chips were distinctly ordinary and the mushy pea swipe on the plate added colour but was a joke. How are you supposed to eat such nonsense? We couldn’t wait to get away. The only consolation was the size of the bill which was thankfully small. Tenby was dozens of restaurants so pick somewhere else. And as for the AA rosette, I suggest the inspector visits again.

As I don't eat meat, I still look forward to a Sunday roast, with plenty of veg, roast spuds & some form of meat replacement. Unfortunately on the last visit to Trefloyne my option was vegetable curry. Well what I got was a tomato sauce with a bit of onion & pepper in it!! No vegetables in sight & definitely no spice. I had to watch the rest of my party finish their food long after I had, I have never had such a disappointing meal. There are plenty vegetarians/vegans about nowadays not to be treated as an after thought. Prices are way too expensive & portions have shrunk. I'm afraid I am over this place & shall not be returning:(

We booked by phone 6 weeks before for a special anniversary meal and were promised a table with a view. When we arrived we were seated with a view of the car park! The food however, more than lived up to expectations. Our mains of battered hake and chips and herb crusted cannon and cutlet of Welsh lamb were beutifully cooked and presented. A wonderful warm creme brulee finished an excllent meal. Service was rather patchy with our server having no knowledge of the menu, forgot requests for mayonese and drinks and was simply not very attentive.

A pleasant Sunday lunch overlooking the golf course, helpful friendly staff. The only thing that gets to me is, a table of 3 or 4 gets served the same positions of veg as a table of 2! Whilst we were fighting over the few sliced carrots & green beans, I couldn't help noticing that two tables of 2 people had left half their veg. As a table of 4, surely we should have had double?? This needs to be addressed as it's not the first time I've seen this.

First time visit - on a lovely, bright, sunny March day. Fantastic location, great views. Staff were friendly, nothing too much trouble. Traditional Sunday lunch - beef was superb, two generous slices, a nice selection of veg - perfect! So why then not a 5* review - a few niggly things. Starter served fast and looked good. I asked for no slaw - it came with slaw. Coffee was not hot and diet cola flat. Service was good, but it took so long for the main course to arrive - others who came into the restaurant some time after us were served their main course some considerable time before us. A nice selection of veg between four - a dish of cauliflower cheese, with leaks, a bowl of roasties - nine of them between 4 and then the dish of mixed vegetables. Nice yes, but a total of 4 sprouts, three pieces of broccoli, peas and red cabbage. That was 1 sprout each, not enough broccoli for everyone and one lucky person getting two roasts. Such great care and attention to detail let down by minor things - like how they serve the veg! Get it right next time and it could well be a 5* rating from me.

Booked three special occasions on the same day a month in advance, got there, they didn't know about us coming. It was a la carte but wasn't advertised, we paid extravagant prices for very small meals although they were tasty. Desserts were advertised as with ice cream only on the menu, no mention of cream or custard although if we wanted it they would do it for us and to top it all we could see them talking about us by the bar because I said surely cream and custard should be in small print somewhere on the menu for people to know they can have it if they want. As a guide my meal was Hake. It was £17.00 very small indeed and I left hungry, disappointed and knowing I would never go there again. Shame on you . All four of us are over 60 years old and by the way put some lighting on the path from the car park, couldn't see a thing getting to you.

Although this is a lovely restaurant, and staff are nice, the wait for lunch was unacceptable. Drinks were brought fairly quickly, but were finished long before the food came. Single waitress, hardly rushed off her feet, with 8 clients in the whole restaurant, had to be searched for on several occasions, to order further drinks and pudding. Plates left lying on our table a long time before being cleared. Food took just under an hour to reach our table, and was good enough, though not wonderful. Coffee took a further 20 minutes to arrive. We laughed about it, but you wouldn’t want to go here for lunch if you had an appointment later that afternoon! I have eaten here several times, but after last week, wouldn’t rush to eat here again. It just took far too long.

As we had such a good time in April, it being a Friday of a birthday weekend for the good lady a sunny lunch just had to be the start of a good weekend. Mussels to start for me, and fish cakes for the birthday girl. Then fish & chips and mussels respectively. All choices were excellent, I just couldn't do justice to the nice crisply battered fish as the starter of mussels turned out to be more filling than anticipated. Again, the Rioja on offer was a great accompaniment, especially in the glorious sun shine with views over the golf course and toward Tenby. No doubt, will be back in the not too distant future.

We arrived a hour early to have a couple of drinks and take in the beautiful surroundings, it really is stunning. A good selection of beers and ciders to suit all tastes. When we ordered our bottle of wine the barman tried to give us another bottle of wine as they had sold out of our choice but did not tell us and just poured it out, my partner was not impressed as he use to be a wine waiter. Then the barman said but this one is exactly the same which it is not or we would have ordered that one. I think he could have done with a bit more training on filling peoples glasses up after you have the first taste. We ordered a starter to share of scallops as we were told there would be four. Three of the smallest scallops i have ever seen arrived, they were ok and they serve them with that very bitter lettuce, not nice for £8. The main i ordered Hake which was a first for me it was cooked to perfection really lovely. My partner went for the beef fillet which he said was good. Pudding creme brulee and sticky toffee pudding was very nice to. We also thought the food was very slow to come from the kitchen as the restaurant was not busy at all but the girls who served us were fantastic.

Was over visiting for a wedding. Very relaxing venue, friendly service. Food was superb as well, very nicely implemented and I preferred it more than the Coast. Great wines and not overpriced.

Walked to Trefloyne on a showery Friday for a lazy lunch to finish off a holiday. We both had Mussels to start, followed by pan fired hake. The mussels were very nicely cooked, in a great sauce accompanied by some excellent in-house bread. The hake had nice crispy skin, and flaked apart to reveal delicately cooked fish - the portion size being quite generous along with nice pots and veg, all served in another great sauce. The wine list is sensibly priced, and good quality for the cost. Beers/Lagers similarly good range.Service was welcoming and relaxed, being able to enjoy a drink on the terrace overlooking the golf course whilst choosing the food.

Lovely location in an impressive building. The restaurant is in a large conservatory ,very light ,clean and tastefully decorated.Service was good and atmosphere very friendly. Food was satisfactory to good at £19.95 for three courses but as I have questioned in many restaurant reviews about Sunday lunch is what actually happens to meat in the cooking process that it becomes so tasteless? The beef was a pleasing medium rare but was bland .Plenty of vegetables and a good variety although only one roast potato each was served. The sweet dishes were pleasant but lacked creativity.A pleasant occasion overal.

We booked to eat here during our holiday in this area. I very much liked the look and atmosphere of the bar area and restaurant which looked out onto a beatifully landscaped golf course. The food was so good we booked again for the next evening! On both evenings we found the staff to have a relaxed professional friendly manner & nothing was too much trouble.

I am still in the building but couldn't wait to praise the amazing, accommodating friendly staff here at The Terrace, Trefloyne. Our family eat out at least 3/4 times a week, and especially enjoy a Sunday Lunch- to put into context how good this place is my sister described it as the best Sunday lunch she has ever had. Their accommodation of my special dietary requirements was brilliant. Most importantly, the food was delicious, the desserts were out of this world (especially the strawberry and vanilla cheesecake) and the staff were very friendly and professional. When we are next in West Wales we will be sure to come back. Thank you for a brilliant Father's Day with my father and grandfather. I wish you every success with the future of your establishment and cannot wait to return.

We stayed for two nights and ate both nights in the restaurant. On arrival, they hadn't got our bookings even though they were confirmed in writing. We were shown to a very cramped table which was wedged between two larger and noisy family tables (we were a table for 2). It took ages for the waitress to arrive and she only did after we stopped her. The food was average and expensive for what you got.

This is a really lovely hotel and the restaurant food is great. We had young children with us and had lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. It was busy, but the service was very good, the staff were lovely, really looked after us & made us welcome and the food was great, both fresh and tasty. Excellent value for money and highly recommended. We will be back!

The restaurant is effectively a very large conservatory, with a lovely airy feel. Along with the hotel, it is family-run, and everyone was very genial. Fresh local fish is a speciality. We had a vey good meal, including a delicious Pinot Noir to drink (we were actually recommended to have the cheaper of the two on offer!)

Recently visited expecting great things but the food certainly did not live up to my expectations. The starter was basically chorizo sausage in tomatoes/sauce and it was almost like tomatoes out of a tin, the main was Thai curry (chicken) and it was equally uninspiring. It was indeed a shame but maybe it was more of a 'miss night' to a 'hit night'.

We were staying at the Trefloyne so thought we'd try the on site restaurant. The restaurant is in a huge conservatory and is very light, airy and inviting. The friendly young waiter showed us to our table and there were several dishes to choose from on the menu. I opted for Scallops and bacon with Pea Puree followed by Monk Tail with Salmon Ravioli. Both dishes were excellent. We ordered coffee and liqueurs to follow. There was a slight delay - nothing to worry about, but we were given our liqueurs in the house which was very kind. We enjoyed our meal very much and found the service excellent.

I visited Trefloyne Manor on Sunday 6th March with mam and dad and sister and brother and partners and niece to celebrate Mothers Day.There were nine of us and we were booked in for 12.30 pm( Three sittings in all. ..another at 2.30pm and at 4.30pm)We arrived shortly before 12.30.pm and were shown to our circular table which was great for us as it meant we could all chat to everyone around the table.A huge plus as far as we were concerned. The view was also great. The menu was interesting and different. We were served promptly and all hot food was piping hot. There was a varied choice of starters. They were tasty and well presented.Main meal included choice of three meats and fish( hake)My husband and I chose the hake( for this there was an extra £3 supplement each. We were not told why???)However it was delicious. Everyone else enjoyed their dinners.Asking for more veg and gravy was no problem.A good selection of desserts too.In fact the whole experience was good. What a lovely touch as we left..all the ladies were presented with a potted plant of primroses, This was the icing on the cake.Thankyou staff at Trefloyne Manor......We shall be back

We had a meal it was average, expensive for what it was. The fish was very bland and the vegetables were cooked to death. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it. Beautiful location, what a shame! Good food in Britain seems hard to come by unless you pay a fortune. I haven't been to the UK for 10 years I see that standards haven't changed.

Wanted a nice restaurant for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. The food, wine and service was excellent and reasonably priced. The room is a large conservatory overlooking the Golf course, very clean and ornately decorated. There is a wood burner to take any chill off but it was comfortable. We had Ham hock and the Chicken Garlic to start, Rib eye and Pheasant as mains, with Bread and Olives as a side. All was cooked to perfection. The wine is reasonably priced and Peroni nice and cold. All in all a very nice relaxed experience

This is a modern extension to the Manor House hotel. It is airy, clean and modern. However, all that apart, the standard of service and food will leave any visitor with a desire to return.

Went for Sunday Lunch and wasn't disappointed,a beautiful setting especially in the new part,2 years since we were there last, the bar and the drinks lounge simply superb. The food was freshly cooked and this was at 3:30 pm, all 3 courses were of good quality,a genuine Sunday lunch not like some of the second rate reheated dinners which are often served up under the pretext of home cooked. Can highly recommend this resteraunte without any qualms, will be back.

We visited the Restaurant twice during our stay at the Manor (see separate review of the hotel). The first visit (on a Wednesday evening) was very disappointing. The service was all over the place, with examples as follows:- one of our party ordered the fillet steak and chips, which we had high expectations of at £22. There was no steak sauce offered, and when we asked for tomato sauce with the chips, it took a good 7-8mins for it to arrive (as we watched the waiter we had asked continue to serve other guests - how long does it take to bring a bowl of ketchup?). The situation could have been avoided if the food hadn't been thrown down in a hurry in the first place and somebody had asked us then if we wanted any sauce.- I had the Wellington, which was fine, but not amazing for the the price being charged.- Interesting to read other reviews that there were a number of flies in the restaurant. Not the case on our visit, as they had died on the window ledges and had not been cleaned away - grim.- Part of our starter had been cleared away, but there were some dishes just left on the side of the table for the duration of the meal, despite the waiter coming to the table to bring water etc. in the intervening period. We retuned on the Saturday night as we couldn't get reservations in Tenby and were tired. Service was much better, and the lamb in red wine very good (not sure what the olives were doing in the dish though). Much better service, and my guess is that they staff up properly for a Saturday, but leave it to chance during the week.

this is a nice welcoming golf course/lodges/hotel with terraces and golf views.Nice ambiance service is good if a little slower paced than some with a generally good varied menu. Only issue I had was that my fish main course looked great but was found to have chilli which was not stated on menu - not only am I allergic but this also completely overpowered the taste of the mixed fish. Eventually staff noticed and removed dish but too late to replace as friends had eaten - we were refunded this course cost and others enjoyed their meals including a gluten free diner. Portions were good size though so starter and pud was enough for me.

We escaped a downpour here, we weren't planning on lunch, but ordered a sausage sandwich to share and it was great. The place was packed and very busy, but we'll run. The buildings are interesting, a maze of properties joined together, with the brewery downstairs. There's also a shop and coffee shop part of Harbwr. There are many places to eat and drink in Tenby and this one should not be missed
