Have been to this restaurant twice and it hasn't disappointed so far. First time was A la carte last summer and second time yesterday with seven of us for Sunday Buffet. The experience was relaxed and welcoming. The food was delicious as the previous time and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The only downside was that number's were low and based on the service and location I don't know why? The place should be packed, but on the upside the fact it isn't was great for our group! But I highly recommend a visit as it's totally worth it!!!!

Fairly standard. It was good on a Saturday, but not so good (disappointing) mid-week. Staff are mostly pleasant and the venue is OK, but it's a bit inconsistent. The Sheek Kebab my friend had mid week wasn't too great, and my veg Dansak was a bit of an overcooked spare veg stew - in contrast to one I'd had previously. OK, but hit or miss. Wine was good.

Love this place. Sitting in or taking away. Always tasty. My favourite Indian in the area. Can't wait to taste your lovely food again.

In a party of 4 whilst the others said they enjoyed their meal I wasn't quite so impressed with my meal, popudoms were returned as stale, this is usually the very first eating experience when eating at an Indian restaurant, so why take the risk of sending out stale popudoms! It just sets the scene for the whole eating experience! I had a veggie sizzler, apparently! It arrived in a bowl as do most dishes! and found it to be a bowl of mushed up veg with the odd firm piece. Also not hot as you'd expect being described as a sizzler dish! On a plus note the onion bajee were very good a little on the small size and only 3 in the portion! Aa for the staff they were friendly enough and welcoming. The seating area was ample so no complaints about the restaurant generally.

A lovely restaurant. Food delicious and we were amazed how cheap the final bill was. Attentive staff and Dubali (not sure of the spelling) was friendly and very funny. We were made to feel very welcome and looked after 👍

Food was alright if you like bad curry. One of the waiters were so rude. Their new extension is basically a green house and when I asked for a window to be opened the waiter acted as if I'd slapped his mother, telling me I'd be disturbing other customer. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Lovely Indian restaurant with friendly staff, and unlike most Indian restaurants (bar the Mohabir in South Woodford), does a great take away. 5/5 for warmth, atmos. and service.

Not your normal curry house review... We had Temple part-cater for our joint 60th house party. We had around 60 guests and wanted a mixture of pre-made sandwiches (which we bought elsewhere) and a range of starters from Temple plus about 20 nann breads. Their service, and the quality of their food, was exceptional. Our guests wafted the starter selection down in no time - coming back again and again. If you're having a party and you're scratching your head about what to do - give Temple a call. You won't be disappointed.

We came across this restaurant by chance and had one of the best Indian meals we have ever had. The staff were friendly and efficient. We both ordered from the Chefs specialities portion of the menu and the food was extremely flavoursome, there was a choice of unusual dishes as well the standard Indian choices, it was beautifully spiced and not over salted. The coconut rice was the best I had ever tasted. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Nothing you can complain about in this restaurant. Food is wonderful and fresh. Service is spot on, good range of drinks. Decor is lovely inside or sitting in conservatory area. I've been in mid week for meals and had the buffet on Sunday's. Highly recommended.

I have eaten takeaway from Temple s few times but never ate in until last night. My sister, her friend and I booked a table and we were glad we did as it was very busy, always a good sign. We going the decor very pleasant. The meal was delicious from start to finish. We all tried dishes from the chef recommendations section of the menu and were not disappointed. We also had 2 bottles of rioja which was very good. Service was excellent and we wanted for nothing. We will definitely return! Thank you!

Very unhappy with the food, it was so dry when it should have been curried that goes for all the dishes that we ordered. The £15 lamb curry had only 3 pcs of lamb in the pot,.. its a rip off. I won't be going there again.

This was our first time coming to this restaurant I only picked this because I read on the local newspaper that they had won an award for best restaurant in Essex. Big mistake it was my husband‘s birthday and there was 10 of us. The service was terrible and one of the waiters was very rude. We ordered water for the children that never came. In the end my son had to go and get a bottle of water from his car. We will not be returning here.

First time trying food from here based on the reviews. I'm actually disappointed as the madras & Vindaloo lacked flavour.. has got the hot spice but doesn't taste authentic other Indian places. However the other half did say the temple sizzler was great and tasty.

Wonderful experience at Temple. Yesterday, I went to Temple with my family, it was my first time there. The food was great, and the service was exceptional.  Syed, took our order and made some great recommendations.  He  listened to what type of flavours we preferred and matched dishes accordingly.  He took his time, was very polite and helpful. Actually every member of staff we interacted with was so friendly and welcoming. This is a great place to go with entertaining friends as it has such a great vibe. I would highly recommend this place and would gladly visit again.

The restaurant is very classy and the service we received from Syed was exceptional. He was very helpful And polite. Overall excellent customer service and a lovely dining experience.

I visited this evening with my friend and I was impressed from the moment I walked inside. We were late so we had to wait for a table but not for long but I saw this as a good sign straight away because it shows what a popular place it is. The decor is lovely and very well thought out. We were given a choice out of two tables and chose to sit in the outside section. The food was delicious, Asian food catered for the English Pallet although there were some authentic dishes and people from South Asia would love it. I must say that I loved my food, it was just right and my friend and I commented on on how fresh it was and not at all greasy in anyway at all. The main thing that really stood out to me was the customer service, this is everything to me. No matter how good a product is if the customer service isn’t good then the product is worthless. At Temple Fusion Woodford Green not only is the product great but the customer service is wonderful. Jubail stood out to us so much, he knew everything from the menu, history of the building, and the story of the restaurant. He seemed very passionate about where he was working and was happy to chat with us and answer our questions. He even gave me a takeaway menu and circled all of the dishes that he recommend I try from different parts of South Asia such as Nepalese. When I accidentally spilled what was left of my wine, I had drunk most of it, he offered to get me an other glass. I will 100% be back and 100% recommending others to visit. Thank you!

Wonderful evening with delicious food

We arrived in a cloud burst. Wet through. They invited us in to shelter from the storm so we stayed for dinner. Lamb Korma - absolutely delicious, crisp popadoms and lovely rice. Lovely food lovely people, very kind and welcoming, what more could you want? Oh yes it's good value too.

Wow ..... Amazing customer service , came here for a collection As i was waiting a memeber of staff ( Naz ) asked if i would like half a pint on the house . I had only just arrived and was offered this within 5 minutes of sitting down. I am actually in the restaurant now whilst writing this. Customer service like this just does not happen these days anymore, this is how smart business works and repeat loyal customers. Fantastic!!!! This will be the only place i will come too from now on You have a customer in me for life . Great work 👏 👍 👌 💪

The very rude staff they judge you ... and some of them challenge you for Christ's sake I only want a curry with my family... food is ok but not worth the aggravation of these staff .... they are not waiters far from it ... we won’t go back!! Had a fabulous meal tonight. Food was fresh and delicious. Very friendly helpful staff especially Karim (brought a surprise and a song for my mother in laws birthday 😁). Really was a lovely night. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is really great and they’ve recently refurbished the outside terrace area which is beautiful to sit on during the summer months (even with the station on its doorstep) - the food is also absolutely delicious and the service is always amazing! Highly recommend

Midwesk visit - Waiter very poor didn't know he's own menu and trying to find what we wanted to order on the iPad. - Short staffed never asked ever if we are ok and if we wanted anything , brings out incorrect drinks and forgetful of everything. - Food came out cold, restaurant near to empty and still cold starters The food was not bad overall but the service was a big big let down. Unfortunately won't be coming back.

One in many visits today,Mother's Day with my partner and daughter. Food lovely,service shocking ,after asking waiter why their only seems to be 2 people waiting on tables he told me 2 staff sick and the rest will be in later,Mothers day come on. 2.30 booking 2 staff !!!! To say we was dissapointed was an understatement. Told them I will not be paying service charge. Noticed on bill charge for mango chutney and £4.50 for 6 poppadoms not ok. Fantastic restaurant but will not be back in a hurry,need to work on customer service,did notice one stand out thing sit inside restaurant service seems to be a whole lot better sit on balcony not. Will come back but not in a hurry.

According to the website this restaurant opens at 5pm. As we had to be at the theatre in central for 7.30, we took the precaution of booking on their website for 5pm to make sure we weren't late. This booking was accepted. When we arrived we were met by a waiter who didn't appear to speak much English, but who told us the restaurant actually opened at 5.30. He did not offer any explanation or apology for the inaccurate information we had been given, but keep repeating that it was "no problem" and we should come in and sit down. We explained we needed to leave by 6pm, but again were told it was "no problem" We then sat at a table for 15-20mins being totally ignored. We were not offered a drink nor did anyone take our order. At this point we decided to leave and get something to eat in the West End. As we left the waiter and another person asked what the problem was, yet when we tried to explain we were interrupted, talked over and told a pack of lies! They claimed we were told that we would have to wait 30 mins for the restaurant to open!! All this makes no sense on any level - why would we have agreed to that as it would have meant there was only 30 mins for the food to be ordered, cooked and eaten!! The two if them were rude, arrogant and dishonest. Instead of acknowledging their two errors (website incorrect and accepting a reservation before the restaurant was open) we were treated as if we were the problem! My daughter calmly tried to give them some feedback on the issues, only to be met with more denials, interruptions and nonsense. Appalling. We ended up having a fantastic meal in The Spaghetti House near the Noel Coward Theatre. Great food, fantastic service, plus free soup and wine. I know where I will be going next time.

My mother ordered on the 14th of Febuary for my father myself and my girlfriend and I have to say I was extremely impressed with the Temple. The food is consistent and of a high standard and to our surprise and joy when our order arrived we received a completely bottle of wine some candles and a rose for valentines day which I felt was a lovely touch. Very impressed 👏

I have been coming here since they opened and try to visit at least once every few months. Great menu catering for lovers of both traditional and fusion Indian dishes, with a very popular and well-priced buffet on Sundays. Modern but comfortable decor and a well-stocked bar. The management and staff are amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble. For instance, they have kept the place open late and well past closing time for a group of friends and I in the past and hosted several charity dinners organised by my mum. The best Indian restaurant in Woodford without a doubt.

Posh Indian restaurant. Beautiful decor and a great place for dinner but average food and average service at above average prices.

Everything was just perfect: The staff, the atmosphere, the food and the price range! The lamb shank was so full of flavour and by far the best one I had at a restaurant. A lot of prawn dish options, delicious naans, the lamb chops were very juicy and they had lovely desserts too. 10/10 - defo recommend and returning for more.

Group of 7 celebrating my Granddaughters 18th birthday. Han a fantastic meal, was so delicious I over ate. Great service and nothing was too much trouble even though they were very busy.. highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again even though it’s a good Hal hours drive. Amazing hospitality and mouthwatering food, the grilled lamb chops had to be my favourite, soft and juicy and not overdone like a lot of other places ive visited. Not to forget the biryani either, which was delicious and came beautifully presented, a must try! The atmosphere was relaxed with beautiful decor, will definitely be visiting again next time I go to London

Food is average at best. Drinks menu does not have cocktails. Decor is good. Right next to the station for easy access. Service was poor. Waiters more interested in joking with each other whilst ignoring customers. Needs a lot of improvement before I return.

It was a great experience. Very ambient restaurant. Exciting food with high quality presentation, service and inventiveness. They also have an extensive range of beverages. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. Everything about this restaurant was great. The Restaurant was clean and in-line with Covid measures. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were very attentive. Overall, I loved the experience. I can’t wait to go back again.

Every time we come here they refuse to accept us as Dine Card members. On the "dine card" website it clearly states that the Temple offers 241 Sunday to Thursday on main meals.

I arrived early and the staff made sure I was comfortable about arriving early. The food was lovely, staff attentive without being pushy. We stayed longer than we should chatting but I didn't fill rushed to go.

Went for Sunday buffet having not been here for a long time, what can I say, out of this world!!!!!! Staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough for us and the food was outstanding!!!! So much so that we’re going back tonight for my daughters 21st!!! Massively recommend!!!!!!
