The Telford Whitehouse Hotel in Telford and Wrekin

Cannot book a room here, it seems permanently fully booked for some strange reason.

The Telford Whitehouse hotel is a very nice, clean, comfortable budget hotel. The staff on reception were very helpful and friendly. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and a nice ensuite bathroom. There is a good size car park behind the hotel. The hotel is situated right next to Telford Football club and a nice leisure centre with a swimming pool. It is only a few minutes' walk from the centre of town. If I come back to the area. I would definitely stay here again.

Me my wife and child went to stay here for a family trip. Little did we know when we would arrive there would be about 20 illegal migrants sat outside smoking and blasting music. When we entered the hotel we were told the luxury room we booked was being used by a migrant man so they had to downgrade us and that meant my son had no bed. Throughout the night migrants were shouting and blasting music down the hall ways and not one staff member stopped this. Do not go here !

Did not stay there it looks as if its for people that have come over on the boats I was at the wrong hotel as there is two white houses

Full of refugees smoking and congregating outside the Hotel.

Room had no working heating, and the menu had next to nothing on it, those working in kitchen did not know how to cook gammon, they had to get assistance.

Avoid booked 6 months ago for family occasion arrived it was being used for refugees

Guys be carefull, receptionist is arogant,manager never at work! Was visiting for 2 hours was midnight parking going in no one stop you! No one inform you that u have to register your plate number otherwise u will get letter anout fine! There is something about parking on car park but too high amd very small letters. When u want to speak with the manager she is never at work, and receptionist lie about he cant do nothing i have to speak with the car park company. Cheaters,liars, arogant horrible people. I am student of university stress of exams,working nights and this company stress me more because they wont from me 100£ for 2 hpurs visiting a friend!

Charged and fined for parking, even though I'd registered my vehicle

Do not book any rooms. I booked a room for 2 nights to go to Comic Con and they did not notify me to tell me that they closed down. I didn't get a refund either. I ended up having to book a place that was 15 miles away on the day instead.

I had a room booked for a weekend. We booked this room back in January and a week before we were due to go they call me at 10pm to tell they were cancelling it. No explanation no reason. We'd already paid for the room and now I'm waiting for a refund. We spent over £800 for the weekend which we won't get a refund on. We may get a refund for the room but we won't for the rest we paid out. Weekend ruined now. Going to seek legal advice and see if we can sue for compensation. Really disappointed with them. Avoid this place at all costs. They have known for a month that they would be closed and they didn't let us know until tonight.

There was also a pizza box on top of the cupboard, need I say more, the chef didn't turn up for the breakfast that we paid for before hand

I recommend to everyone. Newly built building. You can find everything in the area. It has a large parking lot.

Booked here as we came by train so wanted somewhere that did food on-site. On arrival we were told there hadn't been any food available since before Christmas. No evening meals or breakfast, despite it all showing on the website and on banners in the hotel. When we went out for food, we asked if we could have a hairdryer as both rooms didn't have one, the receptionist said yes just ask on your return. On our return we were told we could only have one if we left a ten pounds cash deposit each, we only had cards so asked if they could take the money and refund the following day. We were told this was not possible. It was late and we didn't have a car to go and scout around for a cashpoint. I think their information about what is and isn't available should be made more clear.

Good points: Locations okay, I only needed for a one night base. Bed was comfy. Room was relatively big. Bad points: Pillows are awful might as well just sleep without them, asked for a couple more and never saw them. Hair on the beds. Too much red. Shredded curtain edge. Ridiculous draft from window. Major issue: 1. Booked as ideal for purpose and they had a bar&restaurant... I contacted day before to discuss room changes and was told breakfast was unavailable due to the hotel changing over hands. Granted, money was deducted from total for the included breakfast. Arrived and wasn't made aware prior to arrival, on said phone call the previous day, that the entire restaurant and bar was closed completely. Was told by the desk member that it had be put on the website regarding the closure and that all restaurant related things, were taken down... looked when I got into the room & everything was still being advertised on there. We wouldn't of booked and arrived if we were made aware there was nothing, only takeaways. 2. Your front of house goldfish... that poor thing in a small cylinder with only stones. Cruel.

A nice looking frontage to this hotel and plenty of designated parking available. We had booked for 5 nights with breakfast and evening meal. On arrival we were told the restaurant is not open so no food available at all! The rooms are very tatty with mould everywhere, stains all over the carpets and sofa bed. The sofa bed had definitely seen better days. The bathroom was grubby and mouldy with an almost fully scaled up shower head over the bath. Staff were not really that helpful, but what could they do about the closure. Stayed for 1 night and then all 9 of us booked rooms at another hotel about a mile down the road. If you are after a very cheap no frills uncomfortable nights sleep on a 20yr old mattress that only felt like it had metal springs left inside it, then this is yhe place for you. If you are after a comfortable clean stay then I would suggest you look elsewhere

Could give zero stars if possible. Absolutely abysmal experience. No breakfast and not informed about the change in plans of cancellation prior to arrival even though it was booked and paid for in advance. No extra blankets in a chilled room. No loo rolls in the toilet. Parking was ample and free though. Room was tidy and vacuumed but stained carpets. Thankfully it was only the night. Got the family out as soon as we could.

Bed sheets were dirty, staff didn’t have the greatest attitude but we all have bad days Lack of plug sockets in my room, shower was dirty, Blood on the mirror from previous guests Rust came out of the taps on a few occasions All of this was reported to staff and nothing was done during my week long stay, other people I traveled with had very similar experiences

Rooms are absolutely disgusting carpet covered in stains, bed and mattress are absolutely disgusting I wouldn’t let my dog sleep on it. Shower was mouldy and unusable. Definitely don’t stay here DISCUSSING!!!!!!!

rooms were clean and tidy and a nice size , breakfast was a disaster , no cutlery, plates , food everything had to be asked for , was supposed to be self service but nothing on the hot counter to serve yourself

Two, for OK. The blurb on this hotel's website states, "a quiet and peaceful retreat". It's next to the football stadium and the walls are really thin. At one stage I could clearly hear at least two other guests talking. The corridors have motion sensor lights that don't always work straight away, so you find yourself walking into darkness...not creepy at all! The bed mattress was ludicrously soft, I could feel the springs. The restaurant was closed in the evening when I stayed. I had to go to get something at the local Tesco- there is a Dominoes next door if you must. All a bit disappointing. Won't be back

I was booked into the hotel for 4 nights for business. On my arrival, there was no cup or the usual extra tea,coffee,milk,spoon, although a kettle was provided, no tv remote. When I asked for one was offered a universal remote, and said i need to set it up which would not program to the TV. The room smelt of deep heat muscle cream. Breakfast was served late every morning, which I missed out on as I would have been late for work. When my room was finally cleaned on Thursday the only thing they did was replenish the toilet roll and empty the bin. No fresh towels, bed was not made up and an empty takeaway box left next to bin as it was to full would not recommend.

Not bad location not bad facilities not bad staff but feels bit not right. There was no bell at reception, when staff sitting in the office, must shout out otherwise wait till earth ends. Amazing value for free parking and plenty slots. Room size impressive but I aware red stains on toilet cover and rim, as well as previous guest’s hair on the wall below shower. Large radiator mounted but cannot work during my stay anyway. Hope it may improve shortly.

Nice big rooms, but dated and virtually no soundproofing.

Stopped for 3 nights all staff was very helpful and polite. Only problem we had was on first night we got no sleep at all because of the room next door making so much noise all night. Would be helpful to have few extra plug socket in room Will definitely use again

A little dated inside but good for the price.

Fantastic hotel for the money, beds were extremely comfortable & all facilities were nicely maintained. Only downside for our party was the fact that there was only a single plug socket. Had to get a multi plug extender from Tesco down the road.

Ideal place to stay in Telford close to motorway

Poor hotel, even worse service. Upon check in, I walked to my room and it reeked of smoke. I went down to reception and asked for a new room but the hotel was completely sold out and no other rooms were available. The receptionist offered to come and spray with Febreze but that made it even worse. I asked for a refund and had to find another hotel at the last minute. The receptionist assured me that I would be refunded for this. I have called multiple times, sent numerous emails to the receptionist and manager without reply for my refund. It's so unprofessional to continue to ignore me for 2 months. Would never stay here or recommend anyone I know to stay here.

Bathroom sink had a crack in it, person on desk was coughing bit far out from where my family live.

Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Room has stains on carpet, bed, walls. Food deal was a sham. Only main meals available but without the advertised drinks. Food was mediocre at best when it did actually arrive, and far from fresh. Oh to top it all, most of the hotel is housing the homeless.

My partner and I were in the hotel for 30 minutes before leaving. The room was disgusting with food on the walls and a duvet that was more brown than the wooden cabinets. The duvet cover had clearly not been changed. When we went to reception we were told they were fully booked and we were offered a complimentary drink as an apology. Was told the manager would not be on site until Monday. I sent an email to Sam the manager and am still awaiting a response/refund 6 days later!

Where do you want me to start the rooms may be big but they are connecting rooms which means the walls are paper thin we could hear everything the two men were saying to each other we could also see and smell the smoke Coming though the connecting door when they finally went to sleep all you could hear was one of them snoring so loud and one of there phones ping with notifications all night so we got no sleep ....then there's the pillows so thin you need at least four to be comfy...if all that was not bad enough the breakfast was inedible and I mean inedible the bacon and sausage had been left out under a hot plate if you can call it that it was dried up and not very appealing the mushrooms under the same hot plate were swimming in a black soup the beans were so overcooked they were sticking to the spoon which had just been left out in the open air to gather as many germs as you like the pastries were burnt black the only thing we had was toast and that's because we could make it our selves so that was expensive toast at £12.50 a slice ... I went to reception not long after we had checked in and asked if we could move rooms and was told no.... so we didn't stay the second night we went home after the funeral we had attended instead of being able to stay I tried to speak with the manager but he hid in a office and wouldn't come out I have since sent him emails and tried calling All for no response so people please save your money and do not book here not fit for purpose

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Huge fight in the next room at 3am for a good 2hrs. No one came to intervene. Scary experience!!

Wrong room was given us at check in. We had booked a junior room and were given a standed room. Was quickly sorted by Alex . Room was clean and bed comfortable. Breakfast needs sorting out . The food was only just warm and had a wait for it to be replenished. It is not worth the £12 that that charge.

First thing to note only one plug socket spare in whole room, the other available socket is for television. Had to plug my partners mobility scooter in and had to plug phone in so no television. Decided to take advantage of the meal deal, meal and wine £10, big mistake the salad that came with the meal was so hot it had welded itself to the plate, they did replace it with a cold salad, the reason for the hot salad? The plates were hot, well my salad (that was meant to be peas according to the menu) was actually warmer than the plate and anything on it ) the Sauvignon blanc that was supposed to be the wine was infact specially produced forAldi £3.29 a bottle wine, my partner drinks this occasionally however takes the mickey when a glass of wine cost nearly double the cost of a bottle, also the guest bottle of beer that was on offer for £4.95 coincident was onsale in aldi for 89 pence that week. I understand the need to make a profit but a 500% mark up!

Lovely cosy room. Breakfast a bit average wouldn't have breakfast there again coffee wasn't very nice either.

The staff were lovely but that was it My dinner meal came out but I had to go up after 10 minutes because my sons food hadn't been bought out. The staff member offered him a ice cream which we did turn down. I found breakfast there wasn't much choice it didn't look appetising. The cleanliness needs improving alot. Eg. Curtains fallen off the rack, carpet with stains all over, cigarette burn in the carpet, cups were stained, crack in the sink, quilts had holes in, unsure what was on the pillow if it was sick I just don't know and more...

Stayed here for 6 nights as a couple, overall 3 stars. Room was good, Restaurant was bad. Room: Within 10 minutes of being in the room, the headboard fell off the wall just from touching it sightly. Only half a toilet roll left in bathroom. However, whenever we needed anything, we asked in reception and they were more than happy to help us. Bar/Restaurant: Ordered 2 meals, being burger and chips, and the 8oz steak and chips, along with 2x Cokahol drinks. Wasn't asked how we'd like the steak done until later on when the chef came out to ask. Waited approx 30 mins. Asked for steak to be rare. Food arrived, steak was well overdone, no colour, tasted bland. The burger was lame, nothing like advertised, barely any salad, and the cheese was unmelted and thicker than the burger, also no mayo. The burger is literally advertised on posters all over the hotel, in all the rooms, corridors, reception, lift, website, etc, yet does not even come close to the pictures, and literally has no flavour, all that cheese, and you can't even taste the cheese? The Cokahol drinks (Vodka and Coke), were also not great. Not even sure if there was any vodka added, and they were warm, definitely not refrigerated, no ice, and glasses weren't the cleanest. All the cutlery was different and mismatched. Some of the condiment pots were empty. No vinegar for the chips. £9.95 for a Double Disaronno and Coke, ridiculous pricing for drinks. Breakfast is £13 but after seeing all the negative reviews on that I'm not even going to spend my money. Definitely won't be visiting this bar/restaurant again. Overall: Cheap budget hotel, it's okay, but I would not recommend using the bar or restaurant.

Booked a room and was excited to go and view it, only issue is that Ginger lady there was extremely rude for absolutely no reason, so much that she had refused us access to the room THAT I PAID FOR. She claimed that she was a “guest” but she also turned out to be the receptionist (not exactly sure how that works but oh well…). She has no right to treat the customers the way she did and she really deserves punishment for her type of behaviour, i urge anyone reading this to have the common decency to never book a room here for as long as this rude, ungreatful woman still works here, we will never be visiting here again!!!

Stayed here for one night as a stop over on the way to north wales. At reception, the staff were reqlly good, friesnly and helpful, so all good there and top marks. Sadly thats about it. The condition of the room wasnt great, duvet was ripped open, items in the room hadnt been put together properly and the safty catch on the window had been ripped off and left hanging (guess someone was super desperate to have a fag in the room and couldnt be bothered to walk 30 seconds to get outside). The pillows were laughable. At home im a 1 pillow guy, even putting both of the pillows together still didnt equate to 1 proper sized pillow and my head was angled down whilst i tried to sleep. And i say tried to sleep as the noise at the hotel was aweful, and all you really want to do at a hotel is get sleep right? You could hear everytime someone webt in or put of their room, people walking along the hallway on our floor and the floor above sounded like godzilla and you could hear every word the guests either side, above and opposite said, even at a reasonable level. And if someone spoke in the hallway they may as well have been in the room. The hotel also clicks.... yep, weird... sounded like when guttering or fasci heats up in the sun and clicks, but this was inside.... luckily i had sleeping tablets with me otherwise i wouldnt have slept at all, as i was i had to take 3 to get past the noise. Tiny thing, but our coffee and tea pot in the room didnt have coffee in it, just empty wrappers so guessing it hadn't been cleaned or restocked that well since the last guest. At £55 it wasnt expensive, but id expect more and better. Wouldnt stay again and cant recommend

From the outside, the hotel looks fairly new and like it will be clean and nice to sleep in if nothing else. I would say this was one of the top 3, if not the worst, nights sleep of my life. The double bed was a personal issue for me, used to a super King normally so it already felt small and cramped so not to be held against the hotel. But On top of it, the mattress was solid, the duvet had a tear and the pillows were barely any more plump than a sheet of paper. The room overlooked the road and in all fairness they had double glazing with a secondary glazing but we could still hear cars and sirens going past all night. We could also hear people talking very clearly in the adjoining room and as they walked down the corridor outside. Smaller things but the furniture was shoddily made with the bedside cabinet built backwards and the supplied coffee pot had the empty packets of the previous occupant. I hate doing a negative review but genuinely would not stay again with fear of another sleepless night. On a positive note, the gentleman on reception (evening of the 9th July if bosses want to show appreciation) was very nice and really helpful, offering us directions and food options.

A very tired hotel that needs some TLC. The staff were nice and friendly, but overall I didn't enjoy the stay. Next to a noisy main road, and uncomfortable beds. I'm not sure I'd stay again.

Impossible to give 0 stars, it's a shame. Dirty, noisy, poorly organized hotel. They even dared to touch my things to put them at reception supposedly because I had only booked one night (the credit card paid well for the two nights so I didn't really understand) In short, flee!!!!

The hotel was very clean and had everything that you needed. Only downful was the walls are a bit thin and breakfast would of been nicer if had a menu instead of a buffet as some of it was cold. Staff were very helpful and polite.

Rooms were dirty my partner found hair in the bathroom apon arrival there was still rubbish in our bin and wasn't cleaned properly only 2 plug sockets in the room and 1 was being used for the telly and you had to plug kettle into the other 1 horrible location not much on the menu but have to say staff Donna the receptionist and Jackson I think his name was from the bar helped us no end and was really polite They need a payrise like yesterday!!!!!!

Very nice hotel, very clean, bed is comfortable good value for money but there are two down side, No kettle in the room to make myself a cuppa and the window unable to close properly, so the constance noise of the moving traffic, hence 4 Star. A big shout out the room lady who put the room on top. Away from that highly recommended, l had a comfortable stay

Awful!! Checked out this morning 19/06/22. Many people awaiting a refund due to poor experience/s General manager refusing to speak to any guests to attempt to resolve any issues!! Not a 4 star establishment!!

We were a group of around twenty people on a business trip to this hotel. When we arrived we were asked to pay for the room even though we had just arrived. With 20 people, I'll let you imagine the commotion in the hotel lobby... 3 of us didn't have a room. The room is cold, the bathroom tiles are slippery, the shower head is not practical. The bathroom was dirty, there was a hair on the bowl, as well as a stain whose origin I prefer not to know. If you take the time to lift your sheets, you will notice the sorry state of the mattress. The flush remained in my hands when I wanted to use it… Super practical… The rooms are extremely poorly insulated and we share the smallest moments with our roommates (shower, coughs, toilets). My colleague had her rooms changed without even being notified. His suitcases and belongings were moved in his absence to a new room… An aberration… A hotel that lacks organization. We had requested breakfasts included, when we arrived at breakfast our reservation did not in fact include this formula… A sure lack of organization. An aging and dirty hotel that doesn't tempt you.

Stayed here for 1 night on 11th June for business and I'm so glad it was only one night. The room looked and felt so grubby and old. The carpets were filthy and badly stained in places. We had a small sofa in our room as it was a junior suite and we didn't even sit on it as again it was dirty with visible stains. Thankfully the bed linen appeared to be clean. The bathroom was ok but plenty of black mould in the shower, and no soap was provided in the bathroom. We left at 5am to get going for our show and walking down the corridor at that time of morning someone else was up smoking weed in one of the rooms as the coridoor stunk. We reported that to reception but that whole coridor the whole time we were there smelt of smoke too. One good thing was plenty of parking that was free putting potcode into the ipad.

For the money I couldn't fault it. Door handle was coming off in bathroom but the bedroom was nicely decorated.

Room clean. Service in 'Loft' a little lacking. No ice in G&T, meals not as on menu. No toiletries in room. No hairdryer in room.

Clean hotel, however walls were paper thin and I could hear the other room clearly until they went to sleep. Good location for access.

Would not recommend hotel. room was not clean. Hair on the bathroom walls and floor. Had kids running around at 10.30 at night in the hallways. Staff seem to not no on what was going on with people booking in alot of people seem to not be happy

Three stars because it has a roof, bed, toilet and shower with running water. Unfortunately the rest isn’t so good: filthy dried food/sick splatters on phone, stains on the seat, fag burn on toilet seat, plethora of fag ends outside window, window handle came off in my hand when closing the window, round droplet stain on base of lamp, stains on the wall near mirror, shower curtain torn at the seam, open socket above mirror where bulb should be, only one double socket near tv, dirt on towel, faulty key card and musty smell in both rooms we tried. Hotel is understaffed with young inexperienced twenty-somethings, no manager on duty, food was diabolical, the frozen pizza was burned and dry, gravy for my partner’s meal was thin with undisolved lumps of bisto, bar staff was obviously stressed and ashamed having to be a waiter ( serving the “chef” Corona and reception jugs of ice water ), we were asked twice by chef and bar boy if things were okay and I didn’t have the heart to be honest. I have had better food in the Lynn County Correctional Center in America years ago. We most definitely will not stay here ever, like Taylor Swift, ever, ever, ever again.

The hotel is really nice the Room's are very nice and welcoming and quite comfortable. The food is good and staff are friendly. As a Coach Driver we are always looking for a good night sleep. Thank you the White House Hotel Telford.

Hotel was in very clean condition but the staff are not great. They don't even know where the toilets are an had us walking up n down the hotel an the receptionists are barely ever at reception to deal with potential problems

Not the best stay, rooms looking tired and in need of upgrade. Heated towel rail in bathroom. Not working on arrival, reported to reception but nothing done to rectify. The weather was cold meaning room took a while to get up with the single electric convection heater. TV only had BBC channels?????? Duvet was summer tog and when we asked for another or thocket one the didnt have any spares but brought us two duvet covers to act as a blanket. Pillows thin and again request for two more we were told the hotel was full and there weren't any. Did get a couple for our last night though. Staff were very friendly and professional and the restraunt had a dinner offer of Main Md Drink for £10. The meals were excellent however breakfast was hit and miss even got hash browns that were still frozen in the middle so no food prone used by the chef then. Sorry wouldn't stay there again.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough, brilliant value for money and really honest staff, when I realised I lost my wallet with around 400 quid in it I went down to reception to find that the night Porter had found it outside another room and handed it in with ever penny still inside, you don’t get many honest people in this world but you sir are a credit to to the hotel company, i hope you read this at some point, I have left a few drinks in for you so enjoy!!! You are an absolute star!! Again, THANK YOU!!

Terrible, wouldn't stay there if you paid me unhelpful staff lousy and overpriced food exorbitant drinks prices. Cracked tiles in bathroom and the bottom of the bathroom door was rotten . Insufficient hot water to shower. Had to book somewhere else and no refund

To be honest, wasn't too bad, just your standard hotel room and the prices aren't too bad but I wasn't too pleased with the service I received upon arrival. According to the staff the online booking system doesn't link with their onsite booking so I had to wait for 20 minutes for him to find me a room even though I'd booked months in advanced. It's alright if you're just doing a 1 or 2 night stay but for a long period of time I would possibly look elsewhere next time

Best Hotel I stayed at was lovely and clean staff was amazing

Stayed for the weekend in a family room. Free parking in big and well lit car park with CCTV. Rooms are very spacious and the beds were very comfortable! Medium firm mattress. Room has kettle and flatscreen TV. Really quiet, so excellent night's sleep. Attendant at reception was really polite and helpful even though we arrived after midnight. I was able to get 2 small fans as well to help me sleep. One and only issue was the temperature of the water in the shower. It was scalding hot! Even with tap turned to the lowest temperature, it was just about tolerably hot.

Passionate staff everywhere you looked, bustling, vibrant bar with well stocked, affordable food. Incredibly clean and fresh smelling communal areas and rooms with a truly modern and high quality feel. Plus, the views are to die for.

It was cheap, but regardless of price, more effort needed in the cleaning department. Our room was a good size, but carpet was filthy and should be replaced, dust on coffee table and sideboards, cupboard doors did not shut properly with childrens stickers stuck to inside door. Heated tail rail never got hot and so bathroom was constantly cold. Breakfast was awful, cold and overcooked, with cups very dirty. Watched a member of staff ‘clean’ a table by just brushing the crumbs and food waste onto the floor and laying down (hopefully clean) knife and forks on table, table cloth should have been replaced in my option especially with Covid. Lift carpet was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a long time. Strange smell in corridor which really wasn’t a nice start to our arrival. Entrance foyer dingy and not very inviting. It’s a great looking modern building with such huge potential to be a really nice hotel, just staff need or management need to make more of an effort. If you want repeat business, you will need to do more. Not once was we asked if everything is ok, at breakfast or by reception during our stay or as we checked out. Did not see a reason to complain as felt that it would have just been ignored hence the review. Will use Travelodge or Premier Inn next time I’m in the area….

Room was clean and comfortable, staff were non existent, no restaurant open or room service because it was Sunday?

The rooms / facilities were adequate for the price. Entrance to car park was right beside traffic lights. Parking was supposed to be comp;limentary but I've just received a parking charge notice. I tried for ages to contact the hotel and was kept on hold for over 10 minuites. When I finally got through I was told that parking charges were not responsibity of the hotel and I would have to refer the matter to the issuer. Also the notice dated 2/3 has taken 10 days for delivery.

Hotel good rooms very comfortable staff very plesant but breakfast was not good bacon cold and cooked at 6am never replinished dureing service as chef to busy playing on his phone so sorry for complaint but it was a waste of our money mrs julie pitts

Hotel OK, food disgusting on our coach trip stay.

Awful. I paid extra for 'better room' but was put in a room next to regular customer who kept tv on full volume. The reception staff knew this and said he did this. I asked to be moved to another room but was refused. O got next to no sleep, unable to complete a full days work. Yet the hotel thinks this is ok. AVOID. The desk said i could get a refund, but when i followed up. They refused Wost place i have stayed.

Neat, quiet hotel with comfortable rooms. The manager was so nice and helpful and Lesley was fantastic. She served dinner for my 5 days there. I'd recommend

We stayed for a few days and Leslie made the evenings worthwhile. I always looked forward to seeing her at dinner.

They are hosting the NHS COVID vaccination centre and are not at all helpful when the volunteer staff are issued with £100 fines by their carpark enforcement company for parking in the agreed spaces provided. We were told that it was nothing to do with them and to try to appeal to ES Parking who are not interested. Beware if you stay here, it could be a very expensive night!

Got jabbed, in and out in no time

The size of the twin room was good, with a useful side table and a couple of comfortable chairs beside the window. Sadly the carpet wasn't properly cleaned and there were crumbs beside the table. There was also a long, black hair on my duvet cover, another on the bathroom floor, and a third on the far side of the bath tub. The towels were fluffy and soft. The restaurant boasts that it caters for all diets so I ordered a vegan gluten free breakfast. Next morning we looked for a clean table, but there were crumbs, or some other detritus on the first four tables I looked at. Thick crumbs on the seats. We cancelled breakfast ... If the public face is dirty, we didn't want to risk the kitchen! On the first day we phoned reception to order an extra pillow. We didn't receive one. The hotel was almost empty, it would have been easy for staff to give us a pillow from a neighbouring room and to leave a note for housekeeping to replace it, but sadly that didn't happen. If the cleaning improves this would be a decent hotel. The reception staff were apologetic, but not the most effective, sadly. Hence three stars.

I stayed here (10/11 December 2021) because I am in the middle a house and location move, I was totally alone, the hotel was pleasant and reception was smiles and funny banter, she was a young girl aged 21, I only knew that because she asked my email address and it has the number 21 in it and she told me that was her age. The room was slightly tired, but that said, exactly on par with travelodge and premier inn. If you are still reading this far you are going to read something that made my stay feel special, I was in and out the hotel doing my business during the day, I knew they had a bar so decided to give it a visit, it was noisy with a group of males pre loading before hitting the pubs I guess. When this noise ended I found myself with a grumpy moody looking barmaid, I tried conversing with her to be met with one word answers and deep glares into my eyes, I saw this as a challenge, so kept talking, I found her name was Jodie, she works breakfasts and evening bar, we spoke at extreme depths of our lives and where we are in it. I hope some form of management read this, Jodie is a very special person who has the ability to make people smile inside even when they feel alone.
