Lovely staff and good food, Ryan was an amazing help with food and a cheerful chap, we come here a few times in the year and have never been disappointed

Arrived at 12pm for a party of 10 plenty of seating. The choice of vegatables was really good with sweet potato mash and the sprouts my favourite(also new to the menu) Only negative was only one person on the bar serving between drinks and food orders so would need more staff on bar. Ryan the front of house host/manager made the day also having banter with us.

Came here last week as a party of six. Greeted by friendly member of staff and promptly shown to our table. My other half is Coeliac and therefore required a strict Gluten-Free option. This presented as no problem at all and Daniel, who had taken our order, went to considerable lengths to explain what she could and couldn't have. When the food arrived it was hot and tasty. There were no complaints from any of the party and everyone enjoyed their meal. Reasonably priced too! I would definitely eat there again. Well done to all concerned.

Stayed in Telford recently with my partner and we came here for breakfast several times. The waitress, Gail, was absolutely wonderful and the food cooked by Karl (I believe it was) was delicious. We had a lovely time and we hope to go back soon!

Breakfast birthday. Food ran out and had to wait. So it was hit n miss. Staff very nice. Clean and tidy.

We have been going here for a Sunday lunch and it’s been going down hill very quickly this week the girl carving needs some lessons as she gives you scraps of meat and it’s carved so thin that one Turkey probably serves at least 50 people or more when the young man asked if everything was ok I comment no he asked why and when I told him I was told it was her first time that’s why I have said she needs more lessons the carving area was a mess meat all over the place when I made a comment about it she said that she was use to working in a bigger area I will not be going back again.

**UPDATE 10/11/2024* don’t bother wasting your money, menu is shocking because of the festive menu. The carvey is a rip off £11.99 to not even be given at least 1 slice of meat… because of how thin it is being cut you get given half a slice of gammon/beef and let’s not mention the turkey we had scraps from around the side of the turkey that had been broken off from other cuttings. Sprouts taste like washing up liquid I was nearly sick. Won’t be going back there. Not that the staff will care because they all moan about how tired they are or how they want to leave. If I could give zero stars then I would. This has been taken over by new management which is just what the place needed, the food is brilliant again, staff lovely. Come here most weekends now

Came here about 3 months ago for a Sunday carvery it wasn’t the best we’ve had only 1 choice of meat this was 4 o’clock.Anyway decided to give it another go this time at 3 o’clock 2 choices turkey and dried up beef everything was cold ,tasty but cold ,you needed a knife for the gravy.wont be coming again

Please definitely need renovation, as not look great inside, table are not always clean, very often sticky, once on breakfast served me tomatoes what been really disgusting, like with some chemicals from oven , what was before cleaned, and all comes to tomatoes when was grilled, after that I never come back there again sorry

Had a night out there shooting some pool and drinks with food. Food was good and bar staff very friendly. All in all good night out with the boys.

Lovely place to visit for breakfast, Gail is the sweetest nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Great customer service.

I had wanted the squash ricotta and spinach lasagne but apparently that was still frozen. The beef lasagne was perfectly pleasant. After having finished our main course (around 8.15) we were asked to move to the bar so they could clean the table.??? 1. The place was empty 2. What if we wanted dessert? Needless to say we finished our drinks and left.

The food was hot tasty + well worth the money. Its great for a quick bite + we also love the breakfasts.

Went for a drink with friends,it wasn't late,only early afternoon, all the tables was full of plates and glasses etc,ask a member off staff if they could clear one away so we could sit down with drinks,which they did eventually but not very good,they wiped the food on the floor from the table a quick wipe,then walked away never came back to clear the floor with peas and potatoes all on the table,so we drank our drinks a went,

No one greeted us on arrival, or told a what to do to get served, sat at table for 10 mins then left, no one who worked here spoke to me

Went for breakfast on Monday last week food could not be faulted best breakfast I have tasted by far must have a new chef service was amazing very friendly and polite staff couldn't do enough for you breakfast was nearly over by the time we got there at 10.21 was very quiet and peaceful which was much needed can not fault this place

If you love hair in your food for abit of extra flavour this is the place for you. I have only come here two times, each time for a roast dinner and both times I have discovered hair in my food. The first time was just small strands of hair but on this occasion it was a long wriggly black hair which got stuck in my mouth and wrapped itself around my teeth. Rather than sitting there enjoying my roast dinner I spent 5 minutes trying to untangle hair from my teeth and pull it out like string cheese. Overall I am very unsatisfied and also very annoyed with the lack of care the manager showed when I told her about it. She instantly said I can’t receive a refund due to me getting a discounted meal which I think is very un-flexible and unfair. She even went on to say that it’s no fault of the pubs and that it’s actually my fault and that I should of kept more of an eye out on the hair when self serving. I should not have to go hair spotting when serving my own food and the area where the food is kept for self service should be kept clean at all times. I should not be getting blamed for something because the manager clearly can’t take ownership. Overall a terrible experience and I will not be returning ever again.

Came in for a drink and to play some pool, such a chilled vibe, staff was very nice, especially Patricia, very lovely girl, didn’t have food but it looked and smelled amazing! Highly recommend!

Spur of the moment breakfast with a friend. Warm welcome & explanation of how the breakfast set up worked. Breakfast was lovely, great selection. Served by 2 lovely ladies, Gail & Farrah who were very efficient and attentive.

Me and my family always go here for birthdays and celebrations, the food is always amazing (even though it takes ages) and we always ask for quiet seating, extremely loud children are always seated by us and it's extremely irritating and completely ruins the meal. I don't recommend this place if you dislike loud noises.

Can for breakfast last minute, lovely and quiet on this Wednesday morning. Greeted by Gail who took our food order, chef Karl, well the breakfast came out piping hot, 10/10 would reccomend!

We visited at a quiet time on Saturday afternoon. The pizza we had was very nice. The staff were a bit slow to bring out condiments, having to be asked 3 times.

Great Breakfast…! Stayed at Premier Inn next door with added breakfast and got great service with a smile from Gail and a well-cooked breakfast from Tom even though quite busy. Nice way to start the day - thanks guys!

Food is always good and good price with bluelight discount. Staff not very friendly we have been a number of times recently but they don't seem to acknowledge this.

Place is filthy. Ive been a few times over the years. However the last couple of times attneding for breakfasts ive not had a great experience, there's not been much food choice which is shocking for over £10 a person, no cups and had to ask for one to be washed, coffee machine empty, spilt milk all over the place and should be monitored and cleaned up, no pastries, waited 20 minutes before order was taken, and then felt we were told off for not booking, yet we did and then the waitress was argumentative. Came out feeling deflated. One of the staff (an oldish lady) was abrupt and rude, she moaned constantly that they were too busy with just 2 staff, not the customers fault. Should get more staff in. The place needs a good clean and total refurbishment. Use to like this place. I now have breakfasts some where else where we get a great, polite and happy service.

Food was great, and staff helpful and polite. The only downfall was the toilets, being very dark, tight spaces and broken toilet seat.

I had a carvery but was late so was a bit dried up not alot left either but was ok eatable

This is a fairly local place to me. I have been lots of times. I find the staff friendly but often very stressed as understaffed. The food is good and fairly priced as are the drinks. The problem is the outside space. There are lots of tables, and the gardens are ok. Often when we have been there is a lot of rubbish laying about. It's unsightly. There were several tables that hadn't been cleared either. It seems there were only two staff on duty. Shame it just looked unloved.

I didn't eat here but met my friends who said the price is good and the food was ok but wasn't the highest standard. But they do mainly come from Newport and only eat grass fed pigs who listen to oprea sausages.

I've been coming to this pub for a couple of years, I absolutely love it! One of my favourites. There is a car park but it isn't massive. There's indoor & outdoor seating (plenty of it, the pub is huge!). The staff are always SO polite! Food has always been fantastic. Prices are fab, made even better by my blue light discount! 😁. Only photo I took today was of my dessert, but how delicious does it look! 😋

10 people for breakfast. Waited 40 minutes 2 arrived. Waited another 15 minutes rest arrived incomplete. Very poor service and the place is minging. Not worth the money

Me and my gorgeous boyfriend came here for a quick tea and it was incredible, the service was extremely quick and good. The time for waiting was quite short and perfectly cooked, I will definitely come back here.

I had a kids meal because it was so cheap. It was 6 pounds for a starter main and dessert. Cheap price and amazing quality 5/5

Stayed at the Premier Inn for 2 nights. Found all the staff at The Clock Tower to be really friendly and welcoming - especially Gail on breakfasts. Such a delightful lady! Her sunny personality is just what you need when you have an early start and a long journey home ahead of you.

Not a chance I will be returning to this mismanaged place I wish the was a minus star it would have been my choice rather than a 1

This is probably the worst pub I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. Even though the website clearly says it's open until 11pm last orders was called at 9pm a couple of times during the week we stayed near here and all the taps switched off and drip trays emptied by 9.20!!! This pub doesn't deserve to stay in business.

Our server Gail was absolutely lovely. She was really nice accommodating our requests. The food was great and our chef Chris absolutely nailed the food. Cooked the breakfast exactly as we asked.

Food wasnt too bad but they just need to keep it topped up as there was always something missing so couldnt get everything you wanted on one pass. Also the toaster needs moving as its in the queue for the rest of the food and caused confusion/holdups.

Had breakfast for the past two mornings and it was delicious. Server Gail is very friendly and helpful and Chefs Chris & Dougie cooked a beautifully presented breakfast which was very enjoyable. Had evening meals for the past two nights and those meals were very nice. If back in this area we would come back to eat

The food is rubbish hardly anyone in there took nearly one hour to get food which was cold and soggy chips totally not worth giving there again Had to wait over 45 minutes for 2 deserts asked and the waitress walked away

Disgusting place, ruined my Sunday dinner by serving me raw beef, didn't offer any money back, empty apologies left me feeling sick, and other customers also complaining about the raw beef. Very disauganised staff and all looked like children. Stay well clear of this place.

Had supper here late last night and the food was delivered to my table quickly, hot, perfectly cooked. Then again this morning, the buffet plentiful, the only thing was that my mushrooms were a little over cooked but the rest of the food was fab. The servers I met both last night and this morning were wonderful. I'd definitely book here again.

i mean obvs it's a brewers' fayre but the food was well cooked and tasty, the cocktails delicious, the banquette comfy, and the staff diligent, friendly, and welcoming. Just what we needed!

The bar and table staff were awesome and helpful! Antonia made our Auntie's 90th birthday celebration very special and we're very grateful! We always come for a meal when we're visiting from Canada, great food at a great price 😁

Just been for a carvery was from 12pm until 6pm got there a bit late at 3 only turkey left cold veg just peas and carrots only thing they could refresh was mashed potato at£11-49 they then closed at 4 o'clock not very impressed

Breakfast was good as normal whenever we stayed at Premier Inn. Shame it was not a buffet special as they have the facilities. Staff were really good shame there was only one front of house most of the time. much for one as stuff keep running out on the continental and drinks. A plus was unlike our local Brewers Fair, there was room to move around the tables. Not packed in like sardines. No soap on toilet should not be the gase first thing in the morning.

Was having a great time having a catch up with family and friends, at 9.55 was told it was closing at 10,what pub closes at 10 on a Friday, definitely won't be going back.

I don't think we will ever come during the week again. We regularly visit on the weekends, and the staff are polar opposite of weekday breakfast it seems. I tried to explain our situation with children (food security) and the waitress cut me off demanding individual orders. So I ordered myself 6 sausages and when asked about the kids said 'its fine they will have pancakes' ;). The usual breakfast buffet is replaced with sitting for 30mins still without hot food. I'll make sure I review the weekend when I return to balance out this incredibly poor experience. If our food doesn't arrive shortly I'll release the children for a run.

The service in this pub/restaurant is quite poor. They leave you stood for a long time before they bother to seat you, they never seem to keep on top of the replenishment of food at breakfast times and considering the amount of people this venue has frequent it of a morning, it has a severe lack of equipment. One toaster that works at crawl speed creates a queue ten people long and before you even sit down with the coffee you waited fifteen minutes to make yourself, someone is pushing you to make an order for cooked breakfast. Our family found it an unpleasant experience and now the prices have gone up it's not really worth the hassle. I'd recommend people buy some decent ingredients and do it at home, you're making most of it yourself here anyway. Update 5 years later and still horrendous. Lack of organisation and clear lack of training have led to queues out the door for breakfast buffet on good Friday when it was booking only. The queue turned out to be at a standstill for 30mins all because they didn't cook bacon 🥴

Went for breakfast straight from work yesterday . All you can eat cooked fresh. Chef Jodie's first day perfectly cooked as asked, excellent welcome and service from Gail. Will be going again.
