Corrie tea room and golf course are perfect examples of Arran at its best….full of character and welcoming. We had an excellent lunch of sandwiches and delicious soup, with great friendly service. Just what we wanted ahead of playing the wonderful golf course. Would thoroughly recommend.

Very disappointing. We were sad to give it such a poor review but we would never go back and really cannot recommend it. We ordered two teas, a fruit scone with jam and butter but no cream and a slice of cake. It came to £13 which is a lot of money for what we got The scone was tiny and really did seem shop bought (co-op not M&S). The cake was dry and a sort of domed chocolate cake. Sure it was a coincidence but the next day I saw a similar one in the frozen section of the co-op. Also did not seem home made. I could be wrong with both of these comments and happy to be corrected about whether they were shop bought or home made but they were uninspiring The tea was in paper cups. That’s fine but very pricey for a paper cup of tea with a tea bag and some milk I cannot break it down in terms of cost but if we say the tea was £2.50 each which feels high it means that the scone was £3.50 to £4.00 and the cake £4.00-4.50. Much lower cost nicer options in Arran. You can get a huge, warm home made scone with butter, jam and cream for 3.80 And the scone at least twice and closer to three times the size. The guy servicing was very polite and friendly so you cannot fault that I know there is another fairly recent review offering similar advice but we ignored it and thought it worth giving the place a chance I know that eating out is not cheap and had the quality been there we would have been surprised by the price but not so shocked It is fairly early days for the new ownership and I would love for them to succeed but it does need a bit of a rethink. Perhaps the meals are better but it is not hard to make scones and cake so I would be a bit worried and certainly we would not feel able to return given our experience A shame and hopefully things will get better as they new owners settle in

Having visited here often in the past we were surprised to see many changes. Obviously new owners putting their own stamp on the cafe. I hope that they do not intend to continue to supply tea and coffee from the machine in the foyer as the water for the tea was not hot enough to make a good brew and it was served in a cardboard cup. The scones we had were small and I think possibly shop bought ( I stand to be corrected on this). Prices were well above much better fare elsewhere on the island. I do hope these are just teething troubles and that the hew owners can make a go of the cafe. My suggestions would be to provide tea in a teapot and served in china cups or mugs. Also to visit other local establishments to see what they offer.

We have visited many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always delicious, but the Sunday dinners are especially nice. I would recommend that you book on a Sunday as it's very popular. The home made soups are very nice and a piece of cake is a must. Staff are lovely and friendly always going out of the way to make you feel special. It's a lovely spot to sit outside if the sun makes an appearance and just enjoy a cuppa.

After arriving on Arran we stopped in at the tearoom for a late lunch before booking in at our holiday cottage. We both ordered a chip butty and could not believe the size of them when they were served. They were enormous – we could have shared at one and still been full, but we ate the lot. I didn’t need to make tea that night! We called in again the following day (Sunday) and had the Sunday Roast – again the portions were huge and really tasty. Another visit later in the week and again we were not disappointed. Not many tables inside, possibly due to Covid restrictions, but the weather was hot and sunny and there were plenty of tables outside. We will definitely be there again next time we are on Arran.

My son and I popped in to order some sandwiches. There was a man clearing a table and three other tables with people sitting at them. We stood and waited, I asked one of families if the place did takeaways they kindly said yes they did. We continued to wait, the man clearing the table looked at us 3 or 4 times, went in out of kitchen twice and spoke to a man who was just on his way to play golf. He completely ignored us and didn't utter a word so we laughed, left and went to the fantastic Sandwich Station at our next stop in Lochranza where we received great food and perfect customer service. After reading such great reviews of this place, it really was a bizarre encounter.

You won't be disappointed when you visit The Tearoom - one of the loveliest places on Arran to eat. The owner stayed open for us when we arrived later in the day due to a road closure and served us a beautiful toastie (with Arran cheese) and delicious homemade chips! We then finished our meal off with cups of tea and scrumptious home made baking. Everything was of a high quality and very reasonably priced. The owner was chatty and attentive without being overbearing whilst my sister and I had a gossip over a cup of tea. The surroundings are quaint (floral cushions, a Welsh dresser full of teapots etc) and the toilets accessible and clean. Reasonably prompt to take order, and to bring tea. This is a tiny place, with no outlook, and the tables weren't full. After 30 minutes no food had appeared. On enquiring if the order had perhaps been forgotten, the waitress response was unapologetic but said it wouldn't be long. Five minutes later we saw a big takeaway order being delivered to a man who had come in some time after us. We again queried and said we were pretty unhappy at having to wait so long for a couple of toasted sandwiches and could they tell us when we would be served - the tea had long since been drunk. The response to this was positively hostile and as this was now 40 minutes since ordering we decided to leave without eating. Looking at what others were eating, it looked expensive for skimpy sandwich fillings. It may not bother other people, but it is also one of those places that smells strongly of chip fat at lunchtime, which then clings to your clothes.

We noticed that the tearoom at Corrie golf club was advertising Fish & chips on a Friday by placing a sign on the edge of the road by their access road. As we were staying locally this was a great idea and we offered to buy our local host some too as a treat. When we entered and placed our order we got a very frosty reception and asked if we had pre-ordered. Well, the sign by the road didn't mention the need to, so no! The lady was really very rude and said we would have to wait as she needed to fillet the fish, and huffed into the kitchen. Clearly strangers are not welcome. Luckily a lovely local couple chatted to us while we waited as they must have seen how uncomfortable we looked. When the food was ready a young man brought them over and we paid our £35!!!! Four portions for £35. When we got them back to our lodgings our host was disgusted we had been given about half the normal portion that the tearoom would generally provide. I must add what we had was really tasty and freshly cooked but the attitude of the staff was abysmal. If you fancy fish & chips on Arran, stay on the road for 10 minutes and go to the one in Brodick opposite the ferry terminal.

Our food was put on the table at 14.45, 55 mins after we ordered. In the interval one of our party had to leave for an appointment. Was terribly disappointed as others, who came in after us, were being served cakes and tea as we waited. They have great homemade soup, lovely meals and a great selection of cakes. It is more of a tearoom than a fancy restaurant but it is great for during the day.

We went along for breakfast to find that the owner was held up. Instead of turning us away, the lady there was more than helpful, giving us coffee until the owner managed along. She was very friendly and offered us what food she could, although we were happy to wait. Well worth the wait! We had hot filled rolls for breakfast and it was a delight to find they did vegetarian sausages, which for the 2 veggies I was with, was great news. Tasty food, with lovely brown bread rolls. Well worth a visit. Opens at 10am.

Had lunch at this lovely Tea rooms today at Corrie and Sannox Golf course on the isle of Arran the welcome was warm and inviting with a attentive hostess Claire. The surroundings are Clean and well presented with kath Kidson oilcloth on the tables and tiny vases with fresh flowers in.WiFi is also availbable if you feel the need! Our order was taken prompt and our tea and coffee arrived within minutes of us ordering. The food arrived shortly after that and was a feast to our eyes, a BLT with a lovely fresh salad with strawberrys and a Balsamic dressing giving it that lovely tang. We ordered a bowl of Hand cut chips because we have had them before and they are the best Chips EVER! and beleive me I've eaten my fair share of chips here! The home made cakes that Claire makes are wonderful also slightly large and wonkie but great tasting,Fresh baked Victoria sponge and Coffee cake yummie. Prices are very good and I would highly recomend a visit if you are looking for that lovely lunch time treat or just a good cup of coffee and cake. What's great is that she is even open throughout the winter months.Claire also does Fish and Chip take aways on a Friday night 6pm-7.pm and they are also FANTASTIC and very popular with the locals.A must for visitors and locals on Arran.

Great lunch spot, fab team of polite, cheerful and energetic staff - Megan and Annie in particular are superb. Menu seems more limited on some days than other for no apparent reason but everything produced is good quality, tasty and reasonable portion sizes. Always feel it could do with more tables than it has!
