I have tried to book a table here for two weeks now. I have emailed three times and called ten times. Not once have I received anything back. Awful customer service. I had a few questions before I booked, and I was a party of 10. They have lost out on generous tips and money. Will be looking to spend our money elsewhere. If you can't even answer the phone or email god knows how slow, you are as a business when you're in the restaurant. I dread to think.

We booked here well in advance for a baby shower, so it's not as if they didn't know we were coming. They even emailed me two days before to ask for a pre order. Then on the day it took an HOUR to receive our tea.... I then had to ask for the prosecco that was included, and several people had to ask for missing tea cups etc. The sandwiches arrived promptly afterwards, which ironically then felt very rushed. They said they only had two members of staff on, and can understand under the current climate, however it shouldn't take an hour to simply receive a drink. I wrote an email afterwards to let them know our experience and have not heard anything back. It's very hard to get hold of them too as they aren't taking phone calls due to covid, and on more than one occasion I've had to resend emails. Definitely wouldn't return

So if u r a 6 yr old girl and into princesses the decor might appeal to u but if not then u will find is gaudy and provides an impression of style over substance. However we sat down and was hoping we were wrong. We weren't. We ordered Welsh cakes a scone green tea and a cappuccino. Welsh cakes were hard in the middle. Having worked in Wales I have had the pleasure of eating Welsh cakes that didn't require butter to soften them up. The scones was fresh and light but had no flavour. The cappuccino was so milky and tasted a bit like mellow birds (very weak coffee) and the green tea was OK (all u have to do is add water) but no cup to drink the tea with. Also had the delights of a family party with kids doing circuits around the table. This only manages to avoid getting 1/5 because the staff were friendly and attentive and even with the mistake with the cup were very apologetic. Service was also pretty quick but I have no idea what the point of the robotic waitress was. It's weird and needs help avoiding the chairs. I'd take the staff and put them somewhere that has decent decor and decent food.

Fantastic afternoon tea in House of Fraser. We booked here to finish off a hen weekend in London and what a gem it was. Quirky and cutely decorated, afternoon tea was much cheaper than other places we looked at, £24 for traditional and £27 for sparkling. We had choice of sandwiches, bread and homemade scones and this was accompanied with a selection of small deserts, large pots of tea and glasses of prosecco. Staff and service excellent. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Do not waste your time or money. To start off the menu is HUGE - half of it is unavailable? What’s the point! One person on service, slowest service. Food came out stone cold and small Portions most overpriced awful food I’ve experienced. The clotted cream was off and stunk, when we sent it back they brought back butter? And was still charged full price not even a sorry about that. The scones tasted like bread. So disappointing. If that doesn’t put you off enough, there is ZERO atmosphere, not even background music. The decoration is tired and most shelves are empty. Apart from the two princess carriages which are pretty there is nothing here that makes it any different from a coffee shop. Wouldn’t bother wasting your money on this, visit the IVY up the road.

I went here with my mum yesterday and we loved it! There were really good vegan options with quite a few choices, which was good for me because I'm lactose intolerant, and most afternoon tea places have only 1 or 2 things for me. The decoration inside was so nice too! I think the price for the food was worth it, it was very yummy, the service was quick and the overall experience was great! :)

We were in VICTORIA on the way to an appointment, but we were very early so decided to go to the restaurant in House of Fraser as we had used it previously a few years ago. Wow what a wonderful surprise and a total transformation...

I recently celebrated my Triplet Baby Shower there in a group of 20 women. The Tea Room is absolutely beautiful, it's warm colours of baby pink, blue and white and it's furniture are amazing! The service is excellent, the waiter dedicated to providing an excellent...

Nice to sit in a relaxed atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon for a quiet chat, cuppa and scones. Nice 'Tea' themed decor and chinaware, pleasant service and excellent scones in lots of varieties. Pricey, but where isn't in London?

Different bagels to choose from, I opted for plain. Liked that I was able to customise my order with ease and no faff - I had the Vegan Cream Cheese Stack, but with regular cream cheese, and tomato instead of avocado. The bagel was toasted and the whole thing was fresh & tasty! Would visit again.

Heavy on the mozzarella; slow on the service. Bready crust and quite a weak tomato base. Olives a slight cheat but much needed.

Please avoid this it is the worst evening I have had out for a long time. The food was way way way below standard. We paid £35 each for a tiny bottle of what was supposed to be Gin but tasted like dishwater...... We waited over 20 mins for a drink and had to ask 3 times to be served!!! It was not the characters fault they tried there best but way substandard offer to customers. the food was terrible a couple of sandwiches with indistinguishable contents and the cakes were even worse. I am sure they cannot continue to advertise this and get away with charging so much.......

Served by very rude girl, angry attitude in the wrong job, would not return to Broadwick street. Food itself isn’t bad but costs nothing to have manners.
