My friend bought me afternoon Tea Vouchers for Flutterbyes, Bexleyheath I went to book it only to find they have closed down. So she's bought and paid for nothing.

Lovely lunch. Place is small but accommodating as my nan had a walker. Had the toasted sandwich which had lots of filling and was tasty. Followed by cake which seemed homemmade, rich and generous in size. Nice ambiance with the gentle music as well

15 people cramped into small space, could not move from your seat without everyone moving, Cakes shop bought,if you wanted more than two cups of tea then there was extra charge. Do not waste your money

Come on guys !!!What do you expect for the price .The ambience was cute and serene .Maybe the cakes are shop bought but the idea of a tea room in a pretty gift shop is genius and you should appreciate the concept in these challenging times .Get over yourselves .We had a lovely afternoon .Go to London and pay London prices and fresh goods if you must but nothing wrong with bringing a friend here for a chilled afternoon .

I went with my friends this weekend for afternoon tea. I’m dairy and egg free and we made sure they knew weeks in advance. When the stand came I was so shocked! (Wish I’d take a photo) my friends had an abundance of cakes (which were not great quality and shop bought) I had a few finger sandwiches with Cheese and cucumber and cheese and tomato! So boring and very measly filling! Cheap bread too. But the worse thing was I had one piece of cake!! Plus 3 mini chocolate bites - I queried this and was told I’d get a £2 discount. I was told they’d had to buy a whole cake just for me! She obvs wasn’t happy about that. No scones! How hard is it to make scones with plant butter! The lady, owner I presume said she doesn’t bake so couldn’t make them and she couldn’t source any dairy and egg free cakes. When we left I suggested as she bout the whole cake just for me maybe she could let me have a piece (seeing as I’d only had I’ve) but she didn’t reply even. Never would I return or recommend to anyone - there are better places to go. £12.95 for a few sandwiches and a pice of cake! No thanks!

Really disappointed at dining locally for afternoon tea rather than going into London. We asked for vegan afternoon tea and was served 1/4 of items to what my other friends were served! No idea why they couldn’t source vegan or gluten free products… nothing was homemade either for vegan or diary afternoon tea products. The whole point of afternoon tea is products made personally, not from a packet! The clotted cream they sell in Morrisons for 50p, fluttterbyes didn’t even bother putting it in a nice small pretty ceramic dish, just left it in the plastic tub. The price was beyond a joke for all of us, the vegan one was £2 less for 1/4 if the products. I would not recommend this venue for afternoon tea at all, we were all disappointed; we could have done a much better buying amazing array of variety products both glorious gluten, vegan, diary free and diary items from a supermarket. Flutterbyes couldn’t even source these items, which is weird as nothing was homemade, just out of a box. Never again will I go locally for anything like this Beyond disappointed all of us, coupled with feeling unwell in the morning…. Must have been due to the tiny sandwich fillings or the plastic pre bought clotted cream

Booked the afternoon tea and it was a real let down. Absolutely nothing that was served was home made, and it reminded me of Mr Kipling cakes but a lot smaller! Don’t have a problem with Mr Kipling but not at £14.95 a head. The sandwiches were ok, but cheap white bread, not much filling. I have lots of friends in the Bexleyheath area and will NOT be recommending this place to them. Service was ok, but not very attentive for an afternoon tea as I would expect. Pretty venue, but that’s about it.

OMG, just had afternoon tea with a group of friends, Absolutely amazing, One if the ladies in an electric wheelchair, they were so accommodating, the GF tea was almost identical to the ordinary one, so she felt we were all eating the same. The place was spotlessly clean, the staff were lovely. I wish I could give it 10 star rating. FABULOUS

I have called in a couple of times to sample one or two all day/breakfast options and I was delighted. The owner and staff are warm and attentive, the place is absolutely spotless and the ambience is really lovely - you can easily forget that you are in Bexleyheath as you enjoy a great flat white coffee and sumptuous bacon roll or posh cheese on toast. The afternoon teas appear to be very popular and I am not surprised. You will almost certainly need to book in advance but it would be worth it. The tea room is in the rear of a retail shop which sells a broad range of interesting gifts so you can 'exit via the gift shop' after a wonderful snack. Go on - give it a try, it makes a pleasant change from other establishments nearby. I look forward to calling in again very soon.

Have just visited my favourite shop in Bexleyheath to discover that they have now added the most gorgeous Tea room at the rear of the store, !! it is amazing, the decor is lush, really posh but very welcoming, they offer Proper pots of Tea , organic coffees, cold drinks, cakes , cream teas and here is the best bit.... Afternoon tea !!! we had a lovely pot of tea which arrived in beautiful china tea set and a large piece of Chocolate cake, but i saw 3 ladies receive their afternoon tea and it looked amazing. so i will defiantly be booking that for my mum and me. The prices are really reasonable only £2.49 for a large pot of tea cakes from £2.69 and when i asked about the afternoon tea i was told its £12.95 per person., so thats very affordable even for a student like me. Staff were lovely & friendly, and we were not rushed at all. Mum loved the music that was playing too. Would really recommend this lovely tea room.

Food was cold, staff rude and a terrible experience. Staff lied about giving me a voucher to compensate which I was later told by head office is not possible. Avoid at all costs. I have tried other restaurants in Welling that all provide a better product.
