Lovely sandwiches and good coffee. Good service in a lovely tearoom within the elegant house. The salad with the sandwiches could have done with a bit of dressing it was a bit dry and bitter. Apart from that would recommend as great choice of soup, sandwiches and great choice of cakes and scones. Very good value When visiting Duff House highly recommend it.

We have been traveling along the coast and stopped here for a late lunch. Service was friendly and welcoming. Prices were reasonable. A lovely ploughman’s lunch for me and the others in our party had soup and a sandwich. All very tasty and a lovely strong pot of tea also.

We enjoyed our tour around this lovely house and decided to have some refreshment afterwards in the basement tearoom. It was very quiet but service was a bit slow and we were given the weakest tea I've ever had. We asked for another teabag and even that made little difference. Quality of the basics like tea and coffee are vital so this shouldn't have been an issue.

We visited this splendid house after walking along the Deveron river. After having a look around the gift shop, we decided to have lunch at the Tea Room. A cosy ambience, clean and tidy throughout. Friendly staff. Impressive toilets too.Our light lunch was enjoyable. Soup and sandwiches. A fine lunch.

Having frequented the tea room for the last 15 years we were very disappointed by our visit today;- menu has been reduced to soup & sandwiches- prices have been increased - soup was watery- Cullen skink was watery - crusty bread that was to be served with both was a dried out sliced loafNot good enough by a long way - gave up and went to Annie's Cakery at Platform instead - far superior quality and service, and cheaper. We'll be going there in future and would suggest anyone reading this should do likewise. It would appear that the tea room at Duff House has had its day.

The Duff House doesn't open until 11, so get there when they open, then pop into the tea room for lunch. Service was great, it was affordable, and my sandwich was fresh. Served with a salad, slaw and crisps, it was more than I could eat. Perfect day.

A pleasant tea room in Duff House. Very tempting array of home baked cakes and freshly made sandwiches. But the Cullen Skink is hearty, generous and one of the best I have tasted even though I felt from the colour that dyed smoked haddock may have been used. It tasted really rather good.

Stopped off for some lunch after a lovely walk in the beautiful Duff House grounds, We were greeted by the most happy girl whom we presume was the manager - Rebecca, and from start to finish she made our experience a lovely one. Nothing was too much and the food was lovely too!

Decided to come here for a nose round the place and see what the food was like to get a feel for a possible wedding venue choice for in the future...unfortunately as nice as the place was outside the appalling service and dirty cafe put us off. I hate to leave a bad review especially on small businesses but I feel that this is a place that could be fab if it has the right staff and mannerisms! We sat at a table that hadn't been cleared, waited a wee while for menus, ordered our lunches (kids sandwich box and a cream tea lunch and a sandwich). Only got taken over the adults juice which was the wrong one and my tea and daughters fruit juice carton never appeared. Waited a total of 30 mins + before cancelling our order. Staff didn't have much of an order going on, they weren't able to clear and even wipe the tables and just didn't seem to create a welcoming friendly atmosphere which the place needs! Such a shame as I have now been put off from coming back!

We arrived at 3.30pm to have a cup of tea as a bunch of seven friends. We were informed in a brusque manner that they shut at four and last orders were at 3.45pm. As the staff were so uninterested, unfriendly and off putting, we decided to go somewhere else for a cuppa. Most disappointing and not at all welcoming. Just glad we didn't have any friends with us from overseas. Will not be rushing back. Disappointing to say the least!

We arrived about 10 - 15 minutes before they stopped serving lunch, decided what we would like when I heard the young woman say they stopped serving at 3pm. I went over to verify this and pointed out that it was a few minutes before 3. She very snippily said "It is 3." We were a group of 10 international travellers and Scots. Our table chose to leave, the other table decided to just have a cake. (There would not have been enough cakes left for our table anyway!) The table who stayed told us later that another couple came in, sat and decided what they would have and the same person eventually told them that this was not available. According to our friends, she was pulling faces behind this couple and sighing. According to the sign outside, this place was supposed to be open until 5pm. Our group was not impressed by this disinterested 'service' and we all agreed that we would not visit there on future visits to the area. Fortunately, we found a lovely cafe who were more than obliging and offered great food and smiling service. We will always choose to go there in future.

This evening my friends and I were out to enjoy ourselves having a lovely meal. But that did not go to plan, as we had to wait 2 and a half hours for our food! (one of my friends order a steak which was flavourless and the other order a starter which was completely disregarded when asked about) Although waiter was very accommodating and trying his best to make our meals come quicker, the whole place is severely understaffed causing backups throughout the whole restaurant. As our food was taking a long time we were told we could leave and not wanting to deal with us in that regard. Overall I am very disappointed in the service I received this evening, either this place has to cut down it customer intake or find a way to accommodate this volume of people.

We had the most amazing afternoon tea experience in the Bubble. We can't praise the Banff Springs highly enough. This was a mini 'hen party ' and so much thought had gone into making this so special for the bride to be. Beautifully decorated, Beth and her team looked after us so well. The quality of the food and drinks was outstanding. A lovely afternoon was had by all. Highly recommend! A big thank you to all involved!

Good things : This cafe is in a great location and offers plenty of seating outside which is ideal for those with dogs. Not so good things : The coffee was ok although pricey for the size of cup. Cakes were nice enough, but had too much buttercream icing. Bad things : The layout of the tables inside is a bit congested. The volume and choice of music appears to be for the benefit of the staff because we, and those around us at other tables, to raise our voices to have a conversation.
