The Tea Party in Gosport

I love this tea room! The staff are always approachable and never seem flustered, the food is always beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Thank you for another lovely visit.

We decided to make an impromptu visit to The Tea Party today for breakfast as both children were at school/ nursery after seeing a Facebook advertisement. What a find! The service was first rate, the menu looked so appealing it was hard to make a choice and the food lived up to the standard we hoped it would.Even though we didn’t have our kids we saw a little girl on a table near by enjoying a mini afternoon tea style lunch, so we will definitely bring ours back at some point. Our breakfasts were very nice and the coffee was decent.We look forward to visiting again in the near future

Delivery of afternoon tea to our home was delicious - sandwiches, tea bags, scones with cream and jam and a massive slice of yummy chocolate cake! Perfect treat for lockdown love. Thank you

Lovely afternoon tea. . With lockdown upon we are not allowed to eat in so as a treat my daughter ordered us a afternoon tea. It consisted of a round of fantastic sandwiches, a large scone with jam and clotted cream finished off with a wonderful slice of cake. Great value which tasted amazing and we will certainly be using them again.

Fab veggie breakfast takeaway. ... great veg sausage, eggs, grilled toms & mushrooms, baked beans, granary toast & butter.... served nice and warm in foil trays...thank you :)

My wife and love this place food to die for we came back to Lee on the Solent for a short break and had breakfast everyday here WOW WOW WOW. Such great food and amazing friendly staff.

Wow what a brilliant place. The staff couldn’t of done more if they tried, the restaurant was so clean and the food and drink was gorgeous. My partner and I had a main, sides and cake for pudding. One of the best lunches I’ve ever had, we are already planning our next visit!

My spicy chicken salad was excellent as were the drinks but the cakes were just ok. The cream tea was ok. Ok ambience and service ok.

What a little gem! So pleased we found this place. The staff are professional, efficient, warm and welcoming. The service is exceptional, the food delicious not to mention the cakes! We booked for a light lunch which was superb. I had a warm goats cheese salad, my friend had a sandwich packed full of ingredients and will not leave you hungry, and the boys had milkshakes and cake! Everything was excellent. Other tables were having high tea, which looked very tempting. Must come back for this. Warning, book in advance so as to avoid disappointment. This place is in high demand and so they should be. A delightful place and I shall definitely be back when I next visit Lee on the Solent.

We visited the tea party as our first trip to an eatery since lockdown. The little makeover is lovely and felt very covid safe and clean. Brunch was still delicious and both my children aged 7 and 2 years were made to feel very welcome. We all felt at ease, which made for a lovely experience.

We have just finished our take away breakfasts (full English, skinny mini, hash browns and black pudding). This was our first ever take away cooked breakfast. We love coming to the tea party so so much but with little ones it’s a little hard at the moment with them not being able to sit still and not touch . And mummy (me) was desperate for a meal to appear in front of us for the first time in nearly 6 months. So.... we ordered cooked breakfasts and wow! I knew the ingredients would be yummy but kept expectations low as to temperature and eggs still being nice and dippy etc. I didn’t think that would happen just because it seems so tricky. And I was so so wrong. Delicious! Well done To whoever executed our breakies because they were beautiful! And a personal thank you from me as that was the first meal I’ve not had to cook since March and I was not disappointed, in fact I was delighted (it doesn’t sound like a big deal- but it was!)We are so glad to see you guys open and thriving once more and we will be back to request visits (even if just take away for now). In such tricky times you guys are nailing it. Well done and stay safe and thank you

Had a great lockdown take away, perfect for a picnic with some good sandwiches, two slice of very good cake and an outstanding afternoon tea. The scones were the highlight of a great little picnic package. Highly recommended

We had a takeaway from The Tea Party this evening and it was BANGING! The 1/4 pounder burgers were delicious and the loaded wedges + nachos were to die for. 100% recommend.

Had a takeaway from here today. Yorkshire Sunday roast wrap, with a side of roast potatoes and gravy. Absolutely amazing. I have also eaten in a few times before, always a lovely service from staff and good food. Would highly recommend a visit.

I cannot praise The Tea Party highly enough. There are lots of high tea deliveries available locally during the lockdown but only The Tea Party provide excellent vegan options as the norm. This meant that, as a family, we could all indulge in a special, delicious treat together. Thank you for your excellent service, attention to detail and food. We'll be back for more Friday burgers, wedges and nachos soon too!!

Arranged a collection of Afternoon tea from The Tea Party on 30th May. So glad they are back making their fabulous food and managing to arrange for collections from their shop in L-O-T-S high street. This was the best surprise lunch for the family. Portions were generous, food was mouth-wateringly, good and was excellent value for money.Well worth placing an order via FB messenger - check out their FB page for more details. Contactless payment via bank available. Amazing family run local business, fab! Pics below show the spread, note we added some fruit and veg and popcorn and cut the sandwiches slightly smaller for kids but loads of yummy food! There was lots leftover and this fed two adults,one teenager and two other good eater kids! Not shown is the huge, fruit scones which went lovely with clotted cream and lots of jam

We were bought two picnic afternoon tea's for Christmas so thought we'd go and try this out. Needless to say it did not disappoint. I've had afternoon tea here a few times which is also delicious but the picnic one is just a little different. Sausage sandwich, pork pie, crisps,scotch egg and by no means not forgetting the scone! And this all comes on your own little picnic table. Awesome little touch. Oh and you can add a beer or coffee if tea isn't your thing. Most definitley worth it for something a little different to tradition.

Went for breakfast. My wife had a healthy option one i had a full english they were both superb cooked to perfection with a cup of tea or coffee for 7.99 great value for the lovely food. Highly recommend this lovely friendly cafe but they are not open on sunday which is a shame. We have tried all the other cafes in lee on solent and this is by far the best

Had a voucher for my birthday- arrived very modest frontage so could have missed it if just passing- beautiful quirky interior - I had afternoon tea - four different sandwiches the softest fruit scone with jam and clotted cream and a huge slice of my choice of cake. My husband had the male equivalent- two huge doorstop sandwiches pork pie scotch egg and scone cream and jam - and enough tea to wash it all down. You could have Prosecco and beer if you wanted it! They have a comprehensive food menu and separate gin menu and separate fruit tea menu. They also have gluten free Cake. Excellent service and food.

Delicious cake and scone!! Lovely staff. Unfortunately on the day we went we didn't realise that they closed at 4pm and we went late in the day so we missed out having another cup of tea! I will definitely be going again to try a different cake!

Very clean and bright, lots of mums with young babies 👶, seems very popular, Good choice of Teas and nice cakes 🍰, all presented on nice china. Overall a lovely little Tea ☕️ Shop.

Our first visit to this tea shop was a delight. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was well presented and carefully cooked. It is clearly a popular venue as it was buzzing with people and atmosphere, and yet we didn't have to wait long for service or food. We are planning to return for an afternoon tea very soon.

What a little gem ‘The Tea Party’ is to eat or just have a hot or cold drink. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door. The deco and cleanliness adds to the ambiance and is just a nice place to be. The food is is fresh and very good. The service is excellent even at their very busy times. We look forward to going again for a jacket potato with barbecued chicken, topped with shredded cheese and a side salad.

What a find in Lee-On-the-Solent. The tea party had amazing customer service and just as amazing afternoon tea. Definitely up there with the likes of Fortnum and Mason. Thank you for making an incredible day that bit more special.

I have eaten here on a few occasions. The food is lovely and home cooked. The vegetarian and vegan choice is wide and varied; they have obviously thought the menu through carefully to offer something different and tasty. Members of staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and decor is fab.

By sheer chance,my partner and I chose to go into tea party for lunch this Wednesday.lunch was such a treat! Best we’ve had for a long time,and the service was 1st class too!will go again when in lee on Solent.thank you.

All my family love visiting this lovely tearoom. We've been coming since it opened and can't fault the food or the service. Friendly, helpful staff and love how comfortable it is and especially the vintage decor! The best in Lee!

My husband and myself decided to treat ourselves to breakfast here and i must say we were very glad we did it was excellent and served very efficiently everything was cooked perfectly and served with a smile from a lovely young gentleman ! Will definitely Be going again ! Thank you

Went for a lunch and coffee with my sister here and as always the coffee was absolute perfection and the sandwiches were delicious and very generous portion sizes. You have to try the rosemary wedges they are lovely! The girls in there are always polite and really friendly and deliver great service. Thanks Emily & Sarah!!!

Our first visit to this place started off slowly , we were seated and chose our order but no one came to collect our order we were just to leave when eventually the young lady came with no apology for taking so long and that she had just kept walking past us ! We ordered our sandwiches and the we were offered to have some potato wedges which we excepted.The sandwiches were full of filling ,one was a cheese and onion and the other a chicken and mayonnaise on the chicken one looked full but once I started to eat it ,there was very little chicken so it felt like a mayonnaise sandwich,the wedges were very tasty.

Never knew this place existed until today. Really nice little place with cool decor and friendly staff :)

This was the first time we had been in here and would recommend to anyone to try their tea, coffee and cakes. My mouth waters just thinking of them. Will be visiting again soon I hope.

Little girls just love to play at being grown up and here they get to. They serve a baby chino in a china small cut and a plate with marshmallows and a flake all for £1.65. Good selection of cakes but today we didn't have any. Ladies was clean and tidy. Staff friendly. We noticed that quite a few high chairs. Table service.

Me and a friend popped for coffee, they were great! Really accommodated my daughter who has a sever allergy to dairy. The staff are friendly and the food is outstanding! Cake is a must have here!

I had lunch with friends and the food was delicious. Freshly cooked and well presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. I will definitely be going back!!

Fantastic tea shop . Beautifully decorated , lovely friendly atmosphere. Waitresses very helpful. Food is amazing , I had feta and beetroot sandwiches which were extremely tasty my husband had Brie and bacon panini both served with salad and coleslaw. Tea Party also serve alcohol , the Ale of wight IPA is highly recommend. All followed with yummy warm fruit scones , cream and jam most delicious. The Cake selection looked truly scrumptious. Highly recommend this Tea Shop .

Popped into Lee On Solent on the off chance as never been before. Had a walk around and saw this place so decided to try it as we only wanted a light lunch.

Just visiting Lee on Solent for a look around, starting raining, so, popped into this little place. So glad we did. As we walked passed the counter, And saw all the home made cakes, thought I will like this place. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout. Their alternative cream tea was a savoury afternoon tea. Half a hand raised pork pie, sausage sandwich and mustard, scotch egg, coleslaw salad, chutney, crisps then a warm scone with jam and cream washed down with coffee or tea of your choice. : and it was presented on a miniature picnic table.... Nice touch that.devoured by one member of the group. My wife had feta, black olives, sundries tomatoes, rocket with balsamic vinager in a baked potato with a jasmine tea

Popped in her with hubby for a quick bite to eat, the weather was lovely so we sat outside. The service was excellent & the food was lovely. The bathroom was well kept & offered little touch up extras (nice touch). The menu was varied & offered gluten free & wow what a choice of refreshing drinks. We will be back again.

Last time we came here was for tea and cake, but today we had something more substantial. Three of us had the sun dried tomato panini, whilst I went for the halloumi toastie. We also had some rosemary wedges.

Have been here twice now. Once for an afternoon tea and took my little girl. They do children's afternoon tea and she LOVED it!

Went to a bridal shop and she advised us to go over the road to the tea room, it was very busy but they accommodated us, really friendly, food was fab looking around us all the food that was coming out gave us food envy, attention to detail everywhere we looked!! Helped make a great day out even better!!! Only downside were the onion rings were a tad greasy! Other than that perfect can’t wait to go back x

2nd visit. Had gin afternoon teas. Fabulous. Even gave the birthday girl an extra on the house. The setting beautiful. Really thought through. Am excellent place for afternoon tea..they have savoury one or normal. Savoury had pork pie scotch egg sandwich n scone. It was excellent. Always found this place to be friendly n accommodating, this visit was no different. Just a great place with bit different decor but an excellent eatery.

This is a nice cosy tea house, and we enjoyed our jacket potato each with nice fillings. Unfortunately on arrival we found that they were busy with most tables taken. There were clearly insufficient staff to cope and we had no welcome or opportunity to give an order as they were simply to busy. When we eventually gave our order it took about 40 minutes. This is OK but we had no warning of this i.e. we felt that out of courtesy we should have been told in advance that there was such a delay. Even when the food came there was no apology for the delay.

Absolutely excellent place for a decent drink and snack. I had the spiced chai latte and it was superb. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Popped in for a quick cuppa after a stroll along the seafront. What was required was a nice cuppa and some form of cake and that’s what’s we all had. This place is a great tearoom. Lovely mismatching crockery, proper cups and saucers, great service. It was busy and I can see why.

Nice place for lunch everywhere around here seems full up. The gods was nice but not cheap. Chicken taco and mountains of salad

Took my daughter for her birthday, treated her to a high tea, which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend a visit.

Dropped our daughter off at school and made the most of my day off with a nice cooked breakfast. Nice and quiet and the breakfast was lovely with good ingredients .Will definitely return soon.

Chose from the lovely array of cakes to enjoy with my cup of tea. At the price charged, I had expected a decent sized slice. The cake itself was lovely, but the size of the slice was unbelievably small.

I have recently discover this little place after visiting with a friend a couple of weeks ago and again with my parents today. It’s really fantastic the afternoon tea is lovely and I think great value for money. We haven’t tried it yet but I saw a couple of people having the gentleman’s afternoon tea and it looked amazing ! The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely now be regulars.

A towering milk shake clings to the edge of the glass as whipped cream and confectionary chunks try to escape. A delicious Redbush tea and a warming hot white-chocolate. All served with a smile and a happy hello as you walk through the door. Stunning cake creations beam at you from their glass fronted cabinet, daring you to try and leave with out getting chocolate icing on your lips. And a range of breakfasts, including a Gentlemen's Breakfast that would happily start any day. Highly recommend. It is quirky, a step back into the past but The Tea Party is all the better for it. Even the toilet is worth a visit.

We came across this tearoom a year or so ago & now always stop here when in the area. They serve tasty breakfasts & lunches & of course to die for cakes. Friendly & efficient service combined with unusual decor. In a different class to the seafront tearooms.

I love this little place! Popped in to pick up a couple of coffees to takeaway and was so impressed by the cakes I had to pick some of them up too. So delicious can’t wait to go back and eat in!

The title says it all, no other way to describe this place, lovely staff, breakfast, tea, coffee, ambience. Will be back to try some of the many teas on offer. I was impressed from the moment I entered the door and read the sign “please feel free to use our toilet and baby change, with no obligation to buy anything. Well done, I’ll finish by saying lovely attitude.

This tea room is almost as authentic as if you were still in the fifties, teas, dainty sandwiches, cakes and scones. Well worth a visit

We love this place and visit most months if we can. Staff are so friendly, food tasty and fresh. They always take the time to chat to you and are so lovely with our little boy. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We have been to numerous establishments over the years for afternoon tea and this place is, without doubt, the worst value for money we have experienced. Small portions too. They even charge a supplement if you want herbal tea ! Something we have never come across before.

Called in for lunch with a friend and we were both delighted. We chose one sandwich from the main menu and one from the specials board; both were freshly prepared, very generous and delicious. Service was friendly and helpful. An impromptu glass of prosecco was a lovely treat. No room for cake but they looked delicious. Only wish they were open in the evening.

Exceptional service, great atmosphere, amazing food, lovely staff, great decor, tons of great food choices including lots of vegetarian options :) yummy tea and coffee selection! Came here with my parents for a breakfast treat. Service was really friendly and they were happy to turn down the air con as it was a but chilly where we were sat.

I discovered this shop about a month ago and have already (naughtily) been 4 times. The staff are always friendly, hardworking and cannot do enough to make you feel welcome.

We took our Mum here for her birthday the food was lovely good variety of sandwiches children loved the cup cakes staff really helpful service was good everyone enjoyed their selves

A friendly, well run cafe with a good atmosphere and very good freshly prepared food. I highly reccomend this place to anyone. If I lived nearby I would use it often.

Had a random walk down the beach and came across this place in the high street. So glad we chose this place compared to the others down the street. Friendly staff, delicious reasonably priced wide range of food and drinks and i really nice retro interior. Would recommend.

Called in for a cup of tea and cake. The slice of blueberry and lemon cake was enormous. The cake was moist and delicious and was washed down with a nice pot of tea. Staff were pleasant, friendly and efficient. All in all a very good experience. Will be back.

This was a lovely looking cafe. Vintage inspired with quirky bits and pieces. The staff were pleasant and friendly. We ordered an afternoon tea and were given a tea, scone and 4 quarter sandwiches. They were lovely, but it was a little low for what you would expect for price and afternoon tea.

I provided feedback directly to the tea room. It concerned my cream tea that consisted of a tasty but small scone, jam served in a reused small screw lid jam pot and a tub of Rhoddas creme. I did not feel that it was a fair price and had expected something a bit classier for the price. My husbands cake was ok but again small for the price. I also pointed out that the prices on the website were different from that in the tea room and noted that the table we sat on had a slatted top and there was a lot of dirt collected in the cracks. Whilst my comments on the food are down to personal choice I expected a more positive response from the one I received which in my view was a bit rude and basically said that there were lots of other tea rooms and I could go there and critique them. They had no comment on the cleanliness of the tables or out of date prices on the web site. Regardless to say I will not visit again.

Lovely coffee, food, cakes and wide selection of interesting teas. Situated just behind Lee beach opposite the telephone box that is actually a cash point. You can book which is a good idea as it is very popular. You need to spend over £10 when using contact less or card payments otherwise it's cash. Lovely high tea.

My Wife and I popped into The Tea Party today for a coffee and cake, which was absolutely fantastic. The very friendly staff were brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble for them. From the moment we walked in the door, we was met with a smile and "please take a seat and we will take your order" was very pleasing. The speed of delivery of our coffee and cake was extremely fast. Finally the coffee was lovely and the cake was fabtastic. Thank you very much to all the staff of this lovely cafe. You are very much on our "must stop and have a coffee list", which only has "The Tea Party" on.

Me and my partner went today for lunch and I couldn’t be happier with the service me and the Fiancè received! We both had a lovely jacket potato for lunch and they were cooked to perfection. I also had a cheeky milkshake which was the best I’ve had for a long time, lovely and cold for the hot weather. Servings are very generous. The service was lovely too and the waitresses were lovely to talk to and it’s nice to see the owner working alongside her staff. 5 STARS!!

Was treated to birthday brunch today by my friend. We both enjoyed our breakfast. I had the poached egg on crumpets. The malteser hot chocolate was very nice!!! Good service. Look forward to our next visit.

We ate paninis filled with goats cheese and red onion chutney and bacon with cheddar. Washed down with a small beer and a glass of pinot. Yummy. The staff are friendly and atmosphere is lovely.

My wife and daughters have had afternoon tea here so I went along for lunch with them. The staff are some off the most pleasant people I have ever met. The place itself is a very nice place to be. The style is nice and the cream tea us served on miniature park benches, how original is that. I had bubble an squeak with sausages and a banana freakshake. Both very nicely prepared and tasty. As we we leaving I thought to my self that this had been one the most pleasant experiences I have had.

We found this place after reading the reviews and decided to give it a try. Amazing sandwiches, cake and atmosphere. The staff were very pleasant and great with the children too. What a lovely find!

Our first visit and it won't be our last , the service is the best , the food is large enough for two to share. The coffee is great and hot at last found some where that serves it .

I visited with friends. We had booked our party weeks in advance but we had to wait for our table to be laid for us. However when we were seated our tea and food arrived with no further delay.

My friend took me for afternoon tea here a few weeks ago and it was lovely. Everything tasted great, staff were friendly, decor is perfect and the place is clean. Lovely little details including blankets for outdoor seats and smellies in the w/c. Would recommend a visit.

Omg I love this place. I have been a few times. The afternoon tea is absolutely gorgeous. I never manage the cake but take it home. My mum has tried the vegi breakfast and baked camembert. Not only is the food fantastic but so are the staff. They couldn't make u more welcome and the venue is just perfect clean and cosy. They have thought of everything offering a man's afternoon tea and tables outside with a blanket for your legs. Also a high chair is available. The menu is definitely worth a look. Perfect for ladies or gents what lunch

Went for lunch on Sunday with 3 generations. It was busy but the owner squeezed us in. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with fussy children. Loads of yummy hot chocolates, cakes and salads to choose from. My salad was huge and delicious and the children's afternoon teas served on tiered plates looked amazing and went down a treat. The whole place is prettily decorated and has a very warm, cosy, inviting atmosphere. Looking forward to returning soon.

I have been coming here for a while now for coffee and cake which are excellent.

Came in for breakfast Saturday morning. I always have scrambled eggs and smoked salmon but decided to try the eggs benedict. That's always my 'treat' when on a P&O; cruise so thought I'd try it to compare. Absolutely delicious, it knocked spots off the cruise breakfast. P&O;'s culinary standards have dropped over the years. The eggs benedict at the Tea Party was scrumptious. Generous portions of ham on the muffin under perfectly cooked poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I cleared the plate.

So many different types of teas, hot chocolates and cakes, this place is a great treat! But take cash, as unusually they don’t accept card payments.
