We went in yesterday Just before the parade, the service was amazing and fast, the staff were friendly, attentive and just so lovely. We aren’t from that area but we will be defiantly going back when we can. Unlimited tea and coffee and amazing food and reasonable prices.

We called in for tea. (Great idea on his behalf) the food was excellent and it didn't break the bank! Service was brilliant (our server Jay was lovely and very helpful) It was quite busy at the time but the atmosphere was great. I recommend 100%

Great pub and the staff are top class

It's a famous place for breakfast but the evening foods are also a treat. You can make tapas from the starters which we did. Very good food I tried creamy garlic prawns with garlic bread.

I dined here on Wednesday night, the fish and chips were great! James was super friendly and did a great job of making my family feeling welcome.

Visited for breakfast on Bank Holiday Monday. The restaurant was very busy and staff clearly under pressure, but they remained polite and accommodating throughout. Always a good experience at the Tavern – great service as usual!

Living in Liverpool for the last 20 years, during the latter years, I’ve seen the place emerge and become a favourite of many people. Today I eventually visited for Breakfast and even though after reading the reviews and multiple articles in the local paper, I wasn’t quite prepared for the little dance this food did on my tongue. Nothing else to say. Absolutely amazing and everything, if not more, than I expected. Well done.

Unfortunately I have had to downgrade my review. I have been coming for many years and always spot on. Unfortunately they have now changed the sausages. They are no where nice as the last ones they have served for many years. They did not taste nice at all with a sort of rubbery texture. I'm afraid I won't be coming here for my breakfast again.

Amazing service, great food, never a bad experience

This used to be such a great place to have breakfast but standards seem to have slipped. Food was mostly nice. Slow at replenishing tea. Portion sizes seem to have shrunk. Burnt breakfast potatoes but replaced when notified. We didn't receive all our cutlery even after requesting them.

Nothing to fault, I go a good few times a year and it's aways a good experience, we recently went for pancake day and it was perfect as usual. Breakfast is the standout tho so I would recommend that first. Make sure to book a table as it can get busy

Liverpool institution. Great breakfast. Though something felt off on our last visit, the pancakes seemed pre-cooked cooked and warmed within an ich of being hard....then a gallon of syrup gets tipped to disguse this...maybe I'm being too harsh. Also it seemed grubby at had table we were at, again prob being harsh but our visit just wasn't as good as others.

What can I say. This place is absolutely amazing. Unlimited coffee waiters on hand topping your mug up customer service is spot on without a doubt the best customer service I have ever received. ALL STAFF AMAZING the only downfall is the parking 🅿️ but apart from that loved it

Great service, fantastic price, good portion sizes and a wonderful atmosphere. The Tavern does what so many places are struggling to do and that's deliver a great service, good food at a reasonable price amidst the rise in food, wage and energy prices These guys clearly have principles that they want to deliver a great breakfast and a la carte experience accessible to all. I come here regularly and will continue to do so. Thanks for the great breakfast with a smile. The atmosphere is just as Important as the food and the Tavern continues to deliver.

Well just got back, starters very greasy and kids meals left pizza and burger. Got fed up waiting for main course after 1 hour so cancelled. Poor service, poor food, poor experience all round. They didn't even reduce bill, never again.

Just had to share our experience of our visit to The Tavern Co, from the moment we walked in the door we were met with a warm greeting and that level of customer service shone bright throughout from the team. The food was exceptional and great value, there's nothing I can fault, so if it's not broken, don't fix it...wil return real soon.

Food amazing as always, been here loads before, quick and attentive service, free frequent tea and coffee refillsreasonably priced. Will definitely keep coming back

Another lovely breakfast at Tavern Co. Really recommend the lighter appetite full English for children (fully customisable too), French toast with sausage patties is great too. Limited dairy free options but definitely nice food on the menu. Free tea and coffee throughout breakfast and staff are visible but not intrusive. Great atmosphere busy but not detracting from your privacy. Food is delicious and comes really hot. No quibbling if something is quite right- they fix it immediately and without issue. Happy to provide little extras if you ask - like we asked for strawberries with thr French toast and they provided them without extra charge (although we'd have paid happily if required). Nothing is too much trouble for staff.

We went out to this place for some brunch with our friend and we were over the moon with the service, the food and the venue. It appears to be that at this venue you get free turn coffee, served with all your food and the price of the food was very reasonable as well. I will definitely return when I'm next in Liverpool.

Had the full English, hardly full. Swapped the mushrooms for hash browns was charged almost £4 for the privilege which wasn’t worth it they were like rubber. Inferior sausages cheap black pudding definitely not worth £13.95

Evening meal with family, lovely food full flavour, good portion sizes. Starters wings nachos , ribs, garlic bread, calamari. mains fajitas, burritos , ribs, chicken chorizo mash and cheesecake. Will definitely go back

We were booked in at 1.30 pm! In Australia, that would be a late lunch, but in the UK, it's still a breakfast menu ! Go figure 🤔

Went without booking today and tho it was rammed we were seated within 10 minutes . Super fast and efficient service by friendly staff , our Waitress had only been working their 3 days and was super despite stupid levels of busyness! We didn't realise Santa was there when we went so that was a nice suprise , my son was so happy to meet him and get a little present. He was hilarious too . Food was good fresh and hot , so happy you have Linda Mac sausages on the no meat breakkie also as they are the best .

Cannot fault this place. A must go every time we go to Liverpool. It’s worth the journey out of the centre and is right on a bus route. Really good value for money and tea and coffee IS INCLUDED and regularly topped up. Will definitely be going back

Always an excellent meal, food is well prepared and plated and excellent portion sizes. Only down side for me is, it is often busy and difficult to get a table and quite noisey at times but shows the quality.

Came here twice: The first one late Saturday afternoon for the Penny Lane Weekender (just had to get of out the house for one reason and another), the other one early Saturday evening for a meal before going to a concert at Mossley Hill Church. Went to the upstairs bit for the Weekender (lots of space) and saw a band called Three Stars (could have listened to them all day and loved their cover of 'You're the sweetest thing this side of Heaven'). Sat downstairs for the meal on the second visit and a had a good view of traffic passing by and the bar known as Leaf opposite. Food was wonderful, great service and must have a dessert the next time that I go.

Second time I've been, food was just as delicious, frequently checked if we wanted more free tea and coffee refills. Staff friendly as ever. An absolute must visit if you're in Liverpool.

Have been coming here occasionally since it first opened serving breakfast years ago. It was fantastic then. Unfortunately it has gone steadily downhill. Toast used to be sourdough now it's cheap white sliced bread. Sausage used to be quality, now it's like a Lincolnshire type that is nowhere near as good as the nice ones from a supermarket. Black pudding bog standard sliced. Bacon still good. Really the best thing about it is the free coffee refills but when it's busy you are lucky if you get one. Underwhelming for over £13

Our party of 13 came for a special occasion on Sunday. Staff were friendly, accommodating and hardworking. The food was excellent and the background music great too. I'd highly recommend.

Not as good as it used to be. A few years ago this was the best breakfast in Liverpool, but not any more. Pancakes were dense and stodgy, and were supposed to be served with “Bobby’s” maple flavour syrup but I think it was just golden syrup. Scrambled eggs were completely bland and strangely browned on top, like they’d been sitting under the heater for a while. Hash browns were very greasy, and much smaller than they used to be. Staff are lovely but it’s not worth the money any more. I won’t be visiting again

Incredible brunch and the nicest staff. So friendly, easygoing and personable. We really enjoyed our experience here and would absolutely recommend it!

Me and my family come here quite often as the food is always fabulous. The staff are so lovely and the margaritas are the best especially on 2 4 1! Good deal with blue light card. A regular haunt of ours. Great for kids too. My little boy loves coming here for 'the best hotdog'!

Quick service and friendly staff. However conveyer belt food and it was ok but could have had better breakfast elsewhere.

It's been a while, but as expected fabulous. It was our anniversary so thought we would try it again. We all really enjoyed the food, the restaurant is well set up & the staff were great too. Good to be back.

Has a good menu good variety but I go for the full English breakfast 😋 You also get unlimited coffee top ups.

Really enjoyed our brunch/ early lunch. Serving all day breakfasts. My salmon and cream cheese bagel was delightful. Staff were lovely, really helpful and welcoming. The decor is great with lots of memorabilia. Excellent choice.

From the decor, music, drinks and food everything was amazing here and well worth the money. If you’ve not been before I highly recommend this place!!

Only give 4 stars because even though are food was lovely yesterday we come back today eggs beny was lovely but the toast was half buttered dryed bread for the bby the staff member did bring some butter out but still should be buttered properly. That isy only bad thing to say. Churros lovely also probs the best. Atmosphere lovely and staff lovely

So I booked online on their own website for 5 people , family , for their Tuesday offer pancakes on half price all day . I got email confirmation, so me, my partner and our 3 children got there at 4 a clock . As soon as we went in we got told we have no booking . I showed them my email and both of the staff were nodded their heads “ sorry , we have no bookings today , I don’t know who sent you that email” . They were both looking confused , place was empty and they didn’t even offer us a table . I work in hospitality too , and if someone shows up showing me a confirmation of a booking that we don’t have on the system, we try to accommodate the best possible. I had to ask them if they can give us a table for 5. They gave us one in the end. They brought the menus and I said politely that we are there just for the pancakes offer. They asked which pancakes offer ? I said the one from Instagram and showed them it , which at that time was posted 8 hour prior . And their answer was that the brunch it’s over , they only serve pancakes with chocolate and they re full price and not on offer . And I asked how come on instagram post say it’s available? They said it was finished at 3, and they don’t honed that offer anymore . We had to leave with all 3 kids extremely disappointed and upset. I messaged on instagram page and the person answered me yes ! We do serve the pancakes on half price all day ! So .. make it all short , staff that don’t really care , they looked bored of their job and not trying to help at all, not even with offering us a table , even when we had a booking available to show .. and the whole situation put me off this place . Kids were so upset. And just to get the message after on instagram after I explained what happened.. that YES WE DO serve pancake half price all day .. Wow ! That’s shocking, false advertising if you keep saying you serve it , but when I get to the real location I got refused the offer , and staff don’t know nothing about it .

I recently visited The Tavern Bar for breakfast and was highly impressed. The service was attentive and the tea and coffee were delicious. I would highly recommend it for a satisfying breakfast experience.

My son took me for breakfast on Friday, I was really disappointed, egg,beans and mushrooms where cold , we were warned that the plates were really hot ,so did not expect the food to be cold ,very pricey for what you get 😑

Fabulous breakfasts, very welcoming AND if you are there between 08:00 and 09:00 they knock 50% off your bill!!!!! Which was a very pleasant surprise.

This Eatery is a hidden gem of a place. The staff of so friendly and nothing is too much trouble, the unlimited coffee tastes so good I had to take a takeaway cup with me as well. Anything on the menu you're not sure of asking for a substitution is not too much trouble. Food is absolutely Spot On and cooked to perfection.

Food quality and service were fantastic. Tavern, what else can I say. Tariq was our server, great service from him. He had bluer eyes than the ocean, they glistened like a turquoise sea in Greece. Looking at his eyes made me a better man. His sparkle cured my hangover.

Dark and stuffy, food was bland and overpriced. £21 for two jugs of orange juice in this economy is insane.

This place is perfect the staff are really friendly and nothing is to much trouble the hardest part is waiting for table because it's so popular. With bottomless tea and coffee you can't go wrong.

Breakfast is delicious, plenty of choice on the menu. Friendly and attentive staff. Prices have gone crazy compared to what they were! Used to be about £7 for a Full English now it's double that. Otherwise would recommend.

Great Staff, Wonderul Atmosphere, Food came quick but it wasnt awfully busy at the time so was expected.. Would highly recommend getting the American Breakfast, with a side of Doorstep toast (or a loaf cut into 2 pieces)

Excellent experience. We came to eat and the food was great, in addition to the very good treatment of the staff. Something that surprised us is that they served complimentary Tea and Coffee (and very delicious). I would repeat the experience again, the best restaurant we have tried in Liverpool

Lovely breakfast, but a bit noisy when more people are there.

Went for dinner around 8pm midweek and stayed for a drink and starter as there was we were almost the only people there and zero atmosphere. Tables were being laid up for breakfast so left to go on elsewhere. Needs a bit of a refurb and refresh it seems.
