Really horrible experience in the tavern, obnoxious customers and rude barmaid, will not be back.

What can I say. Was a pleasant surprise when visiting this pub. A good selection of drink and food at a reasonable price. The surprise was the beer garden. It's a fair size and a bit of a sun trap. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. Karaoke on some days.

Few drinks with friends on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Sat in the beer garden in the back, little sun trap.

You can have a nice day and or a great night at The Tavern Bar🥳🥳🥳

It's a small quite pub that offers food on the weekend. Staff are friendly and prices are reasonable for being on a small island.

This has to be the best pub in Millport. Fantastic barstaff. Great atmosphere. The owner was a lovely lady who seemed to be well liked by both customers and staff and went out her way to welcome everybody. 💛xx

The Jewell in the Crown of Millport. Don’t miss it! Near Crocodile Rock. A wonderful pub. Such friendly and attentive staff. Wonderful food, child and dog friendly, and a lovely beer garden. Not to be missed on your visit to the island.

Always call in when on the Island. Every time made to feel welcome by the lovely Tracy and her ever friendly staff. Food of a very high standard including the top quality homemade frozen meals. Best bar on the Island for me and it seems for a lot of others , always a buzz about the place . Magnus.

Never had food so gave it 5 stars but in general it's a good pub maybe even the best on the island depending on what you like

Lovely lunch today served in the beer garden from Milli”s kitchen- scan in the beer garden. All staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Curries were freshly made. Will be back soon

My brother got married in the tavern bar on the 21st of June. From start to finish Tracy the owner was fantastic. Everything went so smoothly. Thank you to Tracy and All her Staff for making not only my Brother and his. New Wifes day so special the made all the staff welcome. They pulled out all the stops. I would definitely recommend the Traven for all your functions.

Spent an evening there music was great saw some handicaped singers first class in my eyes staff could do enough for you prices standard waiting time for service 1 to 2 minutes great! recomend anyone to this place KEEP up the great work guys

We went into this Pub for a drink and had a look at the food menu.A pint of beer averaged £4.50 (reasonable) but we found the food to be a wee bit expensive (£10 for a Pub Curry)and so went elsewhere for food. Staff were attentive and friendly enough.

Popped into the tavern while out with friends. Highly recommend this lovely pub and the owners Tracy and Ian are most welcoming, Great selection of drinks and food. Lovely beer garden. Make sure you visit

After a busy day we were recommended the tavern by a cafe owner saying “the food was delicious “ so we thought we’d give it a try. After ordering 2 chicken kebabs we were told that there were no pitta breads and it would have to be served with garlic bread instead. After waiting 15 mins the server came and asked if our buzzer had went off to come get our food (it hadn’t) so I went through to get the food. The food was served in polystyrene containers with the garlic bread in a paper bag. When I got back to the table my wife was surprised how they were served. When I opened the box it contained 7 pieces of what seemed to have been frozen chicken on a bed of limp lettuce with sliced onions. The chicken was dry and tasteless. Needless to say we were very disappointed with the food and for £10 per kebab was not very good value. To be fair I would have been reluctant to pay £10 for the 2 kebabs if I had seen them first. Poor food with extortionate prices. Not even 1*.

First time in this pub in millport, a very cosy pub, when you go in, it look small but good atmosphere, the surprising part is the out door behind the pub, very nice garden, very relaxing environment. Had some food which was delicious. Will definitely go back again, in fact going back this week lol. Yes that good.

What a find! Looks small from the outside but it’s so big inside, including a lovely beer garden. The food is to die for. The flavours will stimulate every one of your taste buds. The staff are so friendly too. A must visit every time I am in the area 10/10 !

Great small bar on the seafront at Millport. Good range of beers and a lovely beer garden at the rear is a real surprise. Well worth a stop by!

Mixed ages from pensioners to babe in arms .We all had a great time and the food from the garden pod was delicious I don't think anyone left anything we had a lovely family catch up My daughter commented how attentive to our needs everyone was Thanks to Tracy and all staff for making Drew,s Birthday Lunch a great success.

Absolutely shocked when my partner and myself went in for a drink on our way home from a walk. We had ordered our drinks and in the middle of being served the manager obviously did not like the way we looked so asked the bar man to ID us. Who goes a walk and takes their purse in this day and age? Bit embarrassing pulling a think 25 when both of us are just off of the age of thirty. Bar man even apologised as he clearly knew we were well of age. Will not be back! Currently having a great time in the Pier, would choose taht over this pub any day.

Small, cosy bar. Staff very friendly and very Community focused pub. Has meals in fridge to buy to take home and reheat to save you the customer cooking. Service was very friendly and chatty. Pub clean but small (initial bar area anyway). Pub has a beer garden at rear of property but we didnt go out there also i had no need to check out the toilet facilities. Prices were reasonable (even though the prices had just gone up that day). This little friendly pub is doing its community proud.👏

Amazing service and staff!! Upon finding out it was someone in our group’s 21st birthday, Tracy and Craig hosted private karaoke with multiple rounds of complimentary snacks and beverages. Tracy even made us two different soups for our walk home! We had a blast and would come back in a heartbeat. Look for our picture on the wall of fame! ❤️

Excellent welcome and great service. Really nice pub. Very friendly too. Delicious food at reasonable prices. Good selection of draught beers lagers and ciders. Wide choice of malt whiskies available too, along with many of the usual liqueurs and gins. If I was a local on the island I'd almost certainly be a local here too. 👍🍻🥂🥃

Tracey is a legend and made our wedding party feel so welcome. Even rustled up a pot of macaroni. Look forward to visiting again

Shocking experience, after waiting half hour to get in ( yet they were letting locals in ) on our forth round of drinks we were told we weren’t getting served anymore . There was 4 of us and not one of us was drunk in any form . We tried to get into to the back room to do karaoke to be constantly told it was full even though they seemed to be letting others in . We left the pub speechless not knowing what on earth we had done wrong . Horrible experience and will never be back . I spoke to some lovely people in the pub , shame they didn’t see how we had been treated .

Brilliant wee bar, barmaid who was on on Sunday night is amazing, we were in for the karaoke on Sunday what a laugh, if you like Peter kays phoenix nights you'll love this, the whole place was full of characters only thing missing was max and paddy on the doors hahha the compere is pure Jerry St.Clair unconscious comedian haha we honestly had a great night in here and can't wait for our next trip to Millport! If you're reading this review pls don't ever change a thing this is a great wee pub!

First of all.. I love Craig! He's an absolute legend. Give the man a raise. He's super friendly and made us feel comfortable. The food was delicious, Tracy went out of her way to make me a vegetarian meal which hit the spot. The beer garden is beaut, it's a suntrap in the nice weather. 🌞 Large variety of drinks, clean and hospitable, felt welcomed from the second we stepped foot in the door. 😄 We will return soon.

We sat in the lovely beer garden at the back. Don’t be put off by the old fashioned pub front. It was a lovely spot with a very friendly efficient waitress

Like the Tardis, small front looking out onto the bay, large extended lounge hosting karaoke and very big beer garden at the rear.

Just had a 'crakin efternin' in the Tavern karaoke, sorry we had to leave early, just in case I got up tae the mike 'n cleared the place oot,health 'n safety 'n that (JOKE). Good stuff guys/girls.

My husband and I have just tried to go in to The Tavern and were told by a member of staff they were full. Which was fine, we turned and walked away. Once we were a few yards away the 2 people who had been behind us, who had just got out of a taxi, were then let in by the same member of staff. We were in The Tavern last night for a couple of drinks and the young bar staff who served us could not have been nicer to us, however, we were disappointed with the customer service tonight and as a result will not be back.

This is the best bar on the island with a lovely beer garden which is a sun trap staff friendly and especially Tracy who helped me and my friend out by offering lovely accommodation when there was a mix up with ferry times and we realised we weren’t going home that night we both can t wait to return

Took a wee trip down to Millport last weekend and found this wee gem of a place. Tracy and her team are great, they are all very attentive, polite and got good banter. Even though the weather wasn't great, we spent a couple of hours in the beer garden, which flew by and we got talking to numerous regulars who all raved about the place. It's also just had a refurb, the beer garden is one of the best I've been in. We can't wait to get back down soon for another, longer night out. See you soon.

Recently visited. Unwelcoming and staff on duty, were certainly not friendly like all the other places we visited. Will definitely not go back

Very friendly and well stocked bar. Lovely large beer garden. Good Covid check and compliance which made us feel relaxed but not to the point of being sterile.
