Alton Inn in North Ayrshire

Not a bad pub the music was alright but to loud for size of place could not have a conversation with the people you were with all in all not a bad night the time we were in on the way home.

Really cosy we Scottish pub. Great Bar Staff, so friendly. Excellent Atmosphere. Highly Recommended.. I would have given it 10 stars 🌟 , for the atmosphere.

Great wee pub until 12! Then it gets a bit overcrowded.

The Alton has returned to the good old days, great atmosphere, love music, and great staff. Reminded of what it was like in there years ago. Will definitely be returning soon for another great night

Great wee pub to go for a quiet pint

First visited The Alton in early March for a birthday meal for our son with some of his friends. Service was excellent, food was lovely and staff were very friendly and attentive. Revisited yesterday for dinner with my Grandson, no different, staff attentive food great and locals as friendly as ever. Definitely will be back.

Went with my family for christmas dinner, which we had booked. An hour after getting there we were given an extremely small meagre and poorly presented starter. Half an hour later we got our main. Again poor portions. Server's were polite enough but service itself let them down. That and the place was utterly freezing. Wouldnt recommend.

Gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere and the cocktails were outstanding! That sweet but psycho was like juice I could have drank them in a single glug haha!

Always have a great Saturday night in the altona with live music you canny beat it.

Had a light lunch with my son and enjoyed a few pints together. Food was excellent, the potato scone nachos were delicious. Service was first class as usual. Good food, good beer, good whisky. A proper wee pub

Warm and friendly staff , cozy atmosphere, great prices . Went for afternoon tea was really good only suggestion would be to have two types of sandwiches. Wraps were amazing

Recently refurbished, clean and bright. A new menu is on offer , some old favourites still available but lots of new choices also available. Reasonably price. Food served 12 - 8 Worth a visit

I would highly recommend the Alton inn ..the service is outstanding the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great and the prices were also very reasonable. We will certainly be back Very soon😊

Great wee pub. Fantastic prices for a family to eat. Kids enjoyed their meal as did us adults. Staff are lovely too. The fact kids eat free (1 per adult) is amazing. Definitely recommend. Would also like to give it a go during the weekend as it has live music and people seem to love it.

Myself and my wife missed our bus and came into The Alton to have a drink in the hope of getting a taxi, lovely young girl, Kayleigh, greeted us upon entry and managed to get us a taxi back home. Lovely, homely little pub.

Face doesnt fit u can buy 3 rounds then singer on, but if u dance yev had too much too drink n removed. Only had 3 rounds .Dont have entertainment on if not allowed to enjoy it, WONT BE BACK 🤢

Great wee pub has separate eating area. Meals delicious 2 course for £8 . So deffo no complaints there .. and kids eat free.. we parked at the station and walked over .. not far

Really cosy pub. New owners are excellent hosts and have started selling food until 6.00pm. Very good menu at very reasonable prices. We enjoy our visits there.

Good bands on Saturdays. However our last visit left much to be desired due to one member of staff constantly disappearing to chat to her friends. The 3 times she attempted to serve us, all of our drinks were wrong. Also didn't have enough glasses and got served a gin & tonic in a pint glass! Don't appreciate the barmaid being more drunk than some of the customers. Sorry guys, you need to up your game.

Family friendly pub, serving home made fresh meals. Although portion's aren't huge, you can't complain at £5.95 for two courses, and children welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and would definitely recommend.

This is a small family run pub close to the railway station. There is always a friendly welcome and there are lots of activities for patrons. I tend only to,go there with friends for lunches. The food is very good and portions plentiful. The menu gives a wide choice and the prices are very reasonable. There is always a cosy atmosphere in this place.

Went in for a quick drink after getting off the train,it was early evening and only a handful of people in. The tables were dirty and the floor was covered in food dropped at lunchtime, overall the place was in need of a good clean.

Went for a quick bar lunch. The menu was fine with the usual pub grub choices. The food was decent enough. It's not expensive so you really get what you pay for but is worth a visit.

We generally go to the Alton for the live bands on a Saturday. They are posted on their Facebook page each week. The bar prices are very reasonable and the staff are friendly and welcoming.
