For the second time I gave instruction for the food and now twice it has been ignored. Having used the tasty for the last 5 or more years I shall not be using them again as they can't follow simple directions. They appear to have new incompetent chef who can only make basic food. Avoid if you want food that is not bland or greasy.

The food was just like a salted ocean! It was crazy how much salt was in the food. There was enough sodium to last my body a year. Pork balls were nice. But far to much salt. Sadly won't be ordering from tasty again.

Ordered a takeaway tonight, first bite into the beef in black bean, and bit into a metal staple. Phoned up to complain, and the woman on the phone was very rude with suggestions we were lying. We took the dish back to show them. After handling the spat out piece of food with the staple in, the rude woman didn’t wash her hands and continued to serve the next customers order. Yuk!! No apology and disgusting hygiene. Will not be ordering from here ever again..

We ordered our food for collection apon collecting was blanked by the lady at the desk for a good 5/10mins while our food was sat in a carrier bag waiting for us to arrive what made matter worse she wasn’t even on the phone… if we hadn’t already paid for our order would walked out and gone else where. It’s a shame the food really nice their…

We used to love this takeaway. Until they started ignoring phone calls then switching there phone of , I just find that so odd. Kept hanging up before hand too.

Used the tasty for a long time lovely food But today I done a pre order on line One prices have gone up Which understand as most places are But when food arrive d realised food also has shrunk in how much you now get 😦

waited a hour and 40 mins for food was told 20 to 30 mins then it comes and looks not edible not happy at all with the service or the food and it’s not like chinese food takes long to cook and to top the lot hairs in my food don’t eat from here

Very very rude on the phone when chasing - Politely - a well overdue order. Ordered rice which did not declare any allergens, and turned up with prawns in it. Please clearly list allergens on your menu for safety.

Went in to order food, was not acknowledged by the lady behind the counter serving for well over 5 minutes. She put 2 people on the phone on hold and prioritised delivery orders. This is not the first time that it has happened, once before I did ask if I could be served and was greeted with a huff rather than a smile! Today I didn't say anything instead left and walked up the road to another restaurant.

I tried to order my food but the lady who answered the phone was not listening, was condescending, very rude and not very nice. Customers service is terrible. Can not review food as she the very rude lady put the phone done on me. Will not being going here every again and been going here for 20+ years

Six hours after eating burnt spring rolls with rice and curry sauce at 12.01 Christmas morning I woke throwing up and very ill. It lasted 3 days. It ruined my Christmas. I will never eat there again.

Answer the phone and say 1 seconds 10 minutes later u still waiting

Don’t bother. There are plenty of far better restaurants nearby offering far better quality value and service. Order was incorrect, Food was cold and uninspiring

Girl on phone is rude, food is inconsistent. When you complain staff are rude and unhelpful. Crispy beef was soggy. Chow mein flavourless. Pancake roll under cooked and only has been sprouts in! No veg, meat or any flavour. Chips are always hard and over cooked.

Some of the best signapore fried noodles we've ever had. Really good quality chicken dish too. Ribs could be abit meatier though (they used to be!)

Great Chinese, had family visiting so ordered lots, my advice is if you can collect when possible at weekends as turnaround from ordering is about 20 minutes where if you ask for a delivery it can be well over an hour.

I go here for the munck box, a pizza box full of Chinese food! Seriously good value,£18 feeds 2! Rice, chips, chicken balls,crispy chilli chicken, pancake rolls, ribs and sauce.

Customer service terrible. My order arrived 2 hours after being placed. Called after waiting 1 hour to theybhad already delivered it, after a 20minute multiple call as they were finding out what happened they said they would sent it again. By the time we received the meal the kids had already eaten and going to bed and i was going out so just all for the wife. We asked for a refund but they just said no, asked to just have it another day and it was a no. No discount offered if we went back, no apology. Its crazy the world we live in as a apology could go a long way. Won't be going back. Money wasted as the wife had abit and the rest in the bin as I ate out. Madness

Charged and delivery never turned up. 2 hours later they sat they delivered it but we haven't received it. No apology, now waiting again for it to turn up but don't have time to eat it as going out. Complete jokers. How do I get a refund, I don't even want it

Nice chow mein curry was nice apart. The chicken tasted watery

Ordered food by phone they repeated what I ordered went and picked it up and went home and they got order wrong phoned to tell them but according to them my fault took it back and told again my fault even she was the one who took my order and repeated it told her won't be coming back .The food was cold and chips hard so threw them away.

Always picks up and tells me to hold on. normally wait around 5 minutes to order food as she leaves the phone laying on the side while she does other things. Little things like that can really affect the experience. Food is good but the service overshadows that completely.

The food I ordered yesterday was awful, there was hardly any meat in the special fried rice, the Ribs were near on bare of meat, the chicken fried rice was barely warm. I am absolutely disgusted.

Rule Chinese lady on canter. We use to get their food. Went back to and not impress with the lady at the canter, she was so rule. I just worked out. Better Chinese in town.

First time using The Tasty and I only had the Mushroom curry that came with either Chips or Rice for £4.90. At that price for both items I was not expecting too much. However the curry was nice and the chips were ok, they were not the best chips I have had from similar establishments but they were plentiful and did their job. I went in to purchase .y food as online there is a minimum order of £13 , a delivery fee of £1 and probably a 50p handling charge. Plus the items I had would have been £6.10 and not £4.90. So save a few quid and go and get it if you are near by. Definitely worth checking out.

My first time using this take away outlet. I walked in and ordered the mushroom curry which came with rice or chips for £4.90. If I ordered online the dish would have cost £6.10, minimum £13 order, £1 delivery fee and probably a standard 50p handling charge. So quite a bargain. It was a very busy night with telephone orders, deliveries and pick ups bit I received my order in a timely manner and took it home to sample my wares. For £4.90 for two dishes I was not expecting anything much but the mushroom curry was nice and the chips were ok. Big enough portions of both. The chips could have been a bit better quality but again, £4.90. It did the job and filled me up. Will I be going back? Yes as I have tried a couple in the area and for the buck this is the best value by far.

Food is delicious and there's alot of it. Arrives hot also. The best hands down.

This used to be my go to takeaway for ribs but something has changed. A couple of weeks ago they got the order wrong and by the time the correct one arrived everything was cold. Last night the capitol ribs arrived and it looked and tasted like they had been in a warming oven for hours, all the meat was dry and hard. Time to move on I think.

First time ordering from this place,totally recommend, bearing in mind I've eaten all over London China Town being the most iconic..The food was hot,so tasty and reasonable priced.

All of the staff that I spoke to were very helpful and polite and that makes me want to go back again. 10 out of 10 for service with a nice smile

We ordered for a family of 5 - 2 adults 3 kids. 2 x chicken curry 2 x egg fried rice 1 x boiled rice 1 x omelette 1 x chips The curry’s were very watery, the taste really wasn’t pleasant. The chicken was also pinky inside. Extremely disappointed. Food wasn’t enjoyed or eaten well. Had to go into the bin. Will not order from again. Deserves a refund to be fair. Shocked.

Tasty sutton road food was cold wrong and no taste never again will I go there really spoilt my granddaughters special meal

I ordered a takeaway from here, as good reviews in the area, but the lady was rude to me as there was a mix up on address, after i had some bad news all i wanted was to eat and relax but the food was not great and the lady was rude great way to finish a bad day

I phoned to order a takeaway only to be greeted with “Hold on” impolitely, then left hanging...I will not even order from them again, even if they were the only Chinese takeaway left..

Two hour wait (when originally wait time was roughly 1hr 15mins), forgave that as it was a Saturday. However food was a disappointment since last order. Prawns were sickly sweet, black bean chicken was brand other than the random kick of chilli, even the prawn crackers tasted bland. Only the noodles and dumplings were good.

Late, cold and tasteless. Wouldn’t have minded waiting a little longer if it was worth it but it’s definitely not worth the wait. Very disappointed as it went on the bin, I Can’t give a positive on any level. Just a very big NO!!

We had their food tonight. It was good. The only thing that put me off was I had found 3short hairs half grey and black in the foods. First one was OK. Forgivable. Second one was a bit hesitate. Third one was OMG... I don't really want to think about it afterwards. That's a shame! 😕

We ordered at the weekend through Deliveroo. The cyclist had an accident on the way to deliver and our food was destroyed. We had already waited an hour. The we waited another forty five mins for the food to arrive and were not offered any sort of compensation. The food was good though

Very bland food. House special Chow mein was mainly noodles/ bean shoots few chunky veg not much meat 2 pieces of seafood but no taste ! and dry.

This isn’t my usual Chinese but the one I use was closed and I really fancied Chinese. I came across this place, didn’t know it was there so thought I’d give it a go. I have to say I was impressed. The food was well cooked, full of flavour, good portion size and very quick delivery. I think I may have found a new Chinese

When you phone for an order you feel uncomfortable and the lady who answers the phone can be rude she never said thank you or nothing she said what do you want not what would you like

I have recently moved here and its become my local as we have never had a bad meal. The munch box/ houre derves/chips/ribs whatever we have had we have really enjoyed it. The mini spring rolls are devine my only complaint is would prefer boiled rice but fried always the only option in meal deals. Staff are alwys working hard but organised

Total rubbish. Was told about an hour for delivery. It took 1 hour 20 mins and most of it was cold. The King prawn with mushrooms was taste less and was so watery it I thought it was dishwater. This is the second time it has been over an hour delivery and cold. Will never use again. Do not waste your money and go and find somewhere better as you can not find anywhere worse

We used to order from here a lot, but moved away several years ago. We collected a few dishes this evening, been left VERY disappointed, nothing like we remember. We were really looking forward to this, sadly what they served up tonight was just awful, time to look for an alternative. One of us ordered banana fritters, disgusting to look at and taste.

Orderd from this place the sauce with ribs was spot on the rice was also spot on would definitely recommend this place although this is just my humble opinion

Food came later than was told on a Wednesday night it came cold and the food was very bland had no authenticity.. been ordering from this Chinese for 15 years but ever since it’s come under new management the food quality and taste have dropped. This is second time ordering from here and the food has turned out like this no effort put into making the food waste of money! Won’t be ordering from here again!

We have been using The Tasty for about 20 years. Our last few orders.....well....... Food arrived quickly and hot, but that is about it.. No taste/flavour, the curry did not taste of anything and was very floury. The Chilli salt ribs were burned with no taste of chilli or salt. Not sure if the chef has changed or it has changed hands, but I think it is time to find a new Chinese takeaway. Would not be recommending here any more.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery.. was piping hot when delivered as if it had come straight out the microwave..!! Sweet and sour pork was inedible.. hard, overcooked batter with fusty tasting roast pork cube inside that tasted off.. really put me off the whole meal.. won’t be going back

I’ve ordered from the tasty before and it was excellent. Great food, cheap and delivered quickly. So decided to order again. They put egg in my order this time, even though it’s not on the listing. I don’t eat egg so I called up to enquire; no apology offered and she just insisted that I would have to speak to Deliveroo. I’m literally a 5 minute walk away and all I wanted was a fresh portion of rice without egg. I won’t be ordering from the tasty again.

Curry & pancake rolls really good but very disappointed in the chips! Over cooked & really hard! Used the tasty for years now, always satisfied, we order early evening so may be chips were used from lunch ( re dipped)! :(

From all accounts it's been taken over. The new owners would appear to have made the classic mistake, reduce the quality to make it more profitable.Pity as we ordered this from 3 miles away, won't be doing that now. Next thing is they will be on just Eat as all the regular customers, like us, will have given up on them.Perfect example of how to ruin a reputation built up over years and years...

Used to be amazing food but recently taken over by new owners. Bought for the first time and got food poinsoning but gave them the benefit of the doubt as had eaten other things but then ordered again a few weeks later and got food poinsoning for the second time. Won't be going back there again. Shame really, used to be the best Chinese for miles until it was taken over!

cold food refused to sort it out, was quite rude even though we were regular customers previously. Wanted me to walk to them carrying the food on plates and then offered 20% of the next order!! As if I would order cold food again!!

Excellent food service and staff. Never does anywhere else come up to these standards. So if I do have to wait I don't mind as perfection to me is worth waiting for.

One of the best Chinese takeaway's in Southend on sea. We have been using them for our Friday night takeouts for years, But after tonight we won't be using them anymore. Why.... Because the price has increased by at least 10-15%!! It's not just about...

The Tasty offers great Chinese food to take away or deliver and is always busy, which must mean others agree, however, the wait time for both collection or delivery is often very long and never 40 - 45 minutes as suggested when ordering.If you like good Chinese food and want the element of surprise (you will forget what you have ordered by the time is arrives) then give it a try.
