I hope this takeaway goes bankrupt... I mean that literally, that's my honest review. This restaurant single-handedly ruined my experience in Leigh-on-Sea. Customer service is just terrible, in every way shape and form. Like, I just wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not even as a punishment.

Disappointed delivery hot food but no taste- the fox may enjoy it! Now cooking dinner .....update even prawn crackers are stale.

Won't be ordering again, they poisoned my dog, bought him three large sausages, an hour late he was very ill, they've lost this customer for good.

Order arrived really quickly, hot and fresh. Food tasted great and the portion size was huge. Happy customer, will be going back.

I can’t even tell you how rude this lady was to me on the phone! My husband ordered on a app and put the wrong address, I called her to make the changes and she was like a crazy women telling me I was stupid! I didn’t know if I should laugh or cry! I would avoid using them

rude rude lady. When you order on justeat they Call and ask for your card details a second time. They then add 2 hours to the delivery time without any warning. Food was nice the first time but not worth the effort or attitude.

Rude staff, won’t be using them ever again! Never heard of a restaurant having to confirm new customers then didn’t accept when we said our relative in America had ordered it for us! Terrible customer service, rude lady and have made sure to tell everyone not to use them!

The people that run this takeaway can only be described as degenerates with absolutely no care for any customer. After having my order delivered with incorrect items the lady at the takeaway agreed to remake and resend the order. We waited for over an hour only to find out food wasn't coming and the shop had closed. We were left hungry and lied to.

Last night we ordered a pork chow mein. My boyfriend unfortunately isn't able to eat some of the vegetables which come in a standard chow mein so we requested that it come with no veg in. It turned up with veg in. However, this was ok, he was happy to give them a quick call and ask for a replacement (we literally live a road away from them so not a hardship). The lady on the phone said she would send the replacement out as soon as possible. Half an hour went by and we tried to call again only to find that they had shut. After forty minutes we realised they probably weren't coming. Really bad customer service which is a shame because the food is nice. We have just moved to the area and have used this Chinese a few times but we won't be doing so again.

Actually very nice food I only visited once as I live quite far from here, but i would go again when I have a chance.

Quick and good tasting Chinese food

Avoid this place..the fish and chips is really nasty..I ordered a beef curry and received a chicken curry..it was disgusting..the chicken tasted like processed chicken..the sauce was tasteless and all it had was a few bits of onion..would not feed this food to even the dog.. ..

I never go to a Chinese place for customer service, only the food, that’s all I really care about. They seriously met beyond expectations, the rice was the best I’ve had in years, and I only waited for about ten minutes for it all to be cooked, the sweet and sour sauce was divine too!

Arrived well in time. I wasn't expecting such a large portion of chips. All food came hot and driver was very polite. Can't complain.

Stick to one thing or another.. Fish n chips or Chinese?? Both isn't good.. Had a Chinese dish that that tasted of skate!!! 😵 woman very very rude too!! Never again are they getting a penny of my money

Tried for first time-cod and chips. Although it was a 20minute wait the fish was freshly cooked with thin crispy batter-yum and the chips were tasty. Served in a cardboard box with vinegar and sauces.

One of the few places I have found that sell fried Mars bars and Snickers bars at just £1.50

Woman was very snappy and rude over the phone and chicken balls were undercooked

Ordered the food for 8.30pm when I was due home from work. Received a text at 7pm to say it was in its way. I rung to the restaurant to explain and was met with aggression and hostility. There was no compromise if the order was cancelled there was no refund I either take the food 1 1/2 hour early or nothing at all. I was told their system said 7pm but even the receipt said 8.30pm and the delivery girl was very nice about it and very apologetic to my partner. Just Eat spoke to the restaurant but The person I spoke to at the restaurant refused to refund our money. To add insult to injury the food isn't even that great. Poor experience all round. I do my recommend using this takeaway.

Ordered food at 7:30pm, called them at 8:45Ppm to see where they were and was told my address doesn't exist and my phone number is wrong! I have ordered from them multiple times and have proof and I was told I was wrong AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Normally good but on this occasion was very rude and put the phone down on me! Won't be ordering from here again. Bad customer service

Absolutely no way ordering from here again. Couldn't even get chips and curry sauce right. Hardly any sauce chips were transparent and stuck together all other dishes were bland and watery. Being half chinese this is totally unacceptable. Same as 90 percent of Chinese takeaway and restaurants.

I love this takeaway, the staff are warm and friendly and the food is good value for money and plenty of it. I have all good food several times and Can highly recommend it

Ordered food from there a few times but have not been overly impressed.The last time and never again our order was turned down because they were to busy.The money was taken but did not return to my bank as it was ordered on line.Went to pick up only 2min walk from my house to find them sat watching tv, even though they were two busy to do two lots of chips with a pie and curry sauce.Lost my business and will never go back.

Got ill from eating their curry chips and found a long white animal like hair in my food.

Love the couple here always so friendly and my son loves their chips. The Singapore noodles are fab too all freshly cooked in front of you

This is just a chippy but the menu has all of the basics but it is also a full Chinese menu so it allows all members of the family to order their favourites from one place. the food is really good and the portions large. I ordered for 12 people last week and the full order arrived promptly, it was hot, well cooked and ample so no complaints.

The food here is ok but I was amazed to hear the staff shouting and swearing at the local school kids! I know that kids can be a handful but I think that sort of language is a bit over the top!

We live not far from The Chinese Chippy & decided to give it a try after reading other reviews. Chips , yum, savoy , yum , everything we had was YUM YUM YUM , if these aren't perfect then I don't go back . Well safe to say we will be back & next time to try their Chinese . Friendly staff , we WILL be back soon .

Fresh well prepared and cooked food, rapid service. Well worth using as your fish and chip shop. Can get busy, but we'll worth the wait.

This is a take away only: Make sure you are very hungry as the dishes are very generous. I use the Chinese Chippy a lot as it is just a minute walk, but in this area the choice of Chinese food and fish n chips we have a fab choice.We have never had a bad meal from this fine take away. On the Chinese side I highly recommend the Salt n pepper Spare Ribs with the mixed special chow mein so tasty.We can order or walk to so many different "take-aways" but the Chinese Chippy is always our first choice especially for fish n chips.

Some of the dishes are great, others not so great. Its ok when you have tried a few dishes and know what to order. The chips are some of the best around.

Absolutely spot on !! Chinese yummy and fish and chips good take away only and no delivery but worth the journey. If u want something different or authentic that's not on menu they will oblige if u discuss a few days before
