The wife is extremely Rude. No customer skills,husband continuously apologises for her. Only fish they have is the cheap cuts. Cod is always a tail (flat). Food always cold when you complain the wife gets aggressive. Will never use this takeaway again. If you want a Kebab go to the Garden Grill

I live in the Old town,and gave it another go today, a portion of chips £3:50 not freshly cooked, hard and cold. Will travel to hatfield heath instead much better fish n chip shop.

2007 - 2023 customers and still the best some family members want kebab some want fish and chips and all 7 at the table gave 10/10

Food was horrible first and last time ordering from here, chips were half cooked, savaloys colour look off , gherkins were hollow tasted weired threw most of in the bin

Food was good but the way the food was packaged was a little disappointing. The Fish, the Sausage and Chips were all wrapped together in a single wrap of paper even though they were different meals, and in quite a flimsy way, and then put in a small bag. After taking delivery it all came apart when getting out of the bag so was not particularly appetising to see. It would be better if more care was taken in the packing and perhaps better if the sausage and fish and chips had been wrapped individually rather than altogether.

Food was delivered hot & on time. Savaloys were really tasty, chips were good & fish portioned as described. Will re-order on future.

100% better than the last time. This time the food was delivered early and piping hot! As opposed to last time when the driver took nearly an hour to deliver after collecting from restaurant consequently the food was cold! The food was exceptional this time and the driver was really friendly and polite!

The food was lukewarm and not very nice, This was a first order from this takeaway and it will be the last, I would not recommend this takeaway, the chips were not very nice, the fish was dumped on top of the chips upside down the fish was very oily, the person who ordered this threw most of it away, I had a large mixed kebab, and honestly it was the worst kebab I’ve ever had, there wasn’t much salad, the chicken element was dry shreds of chicken, some of the lamb seemed like it had been cut for ages and was curling at the edges, the overall size of the kebab was not large, the pitta bread had a peculiar taste and so I didn’t eat much of it. I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but I was appalled by the poor quality and presentation, I thought it was a bit much to charge 10 p for a carrier bag, when other places provide them for “free” and others provide a stout paper bag which helps with insulation.

The food is always lovely but this time the delivery time was so late that my meal was cold when I got it! It was collected by the driver on time but it took 40 minutes for it to get to me! Considering I only live minutes away from the restaurant this is totally unacceptable. It gives the restaurant a bad name as some will assume it is their fault which it isn't. Just eat do not have a very good name if you look at their ratings.

Everything about my order was excelent, the food was delicious and hot. I would definately recommend this company to my friends!

Did not deliver the sausage in batter, called the vendor immediately and they said they'd deliver but never did. So I'm out of pocket by paying for food that wasn't supplied, waited half an hour for the re-delivery that didn't come so the rest of the food needed to be reheated, affecting the quality and the experience.

Been waiting 2 hours for my food still hasn’t turned up when rung the restaurant they didn’t know where the driver was and put the phone down on me never ordering from here again take your money and don’t deliver the food

Local fish shop with good food and staff

There was way too many onions on one kebab, but the chicken shish was generous and very tasty. Chips were a generous size and good chip shop chips.

Ordered separate fish, burger, wrap & a large portion of chips to share. But the fish was just put in with the portion of chips putting its oil & flavour over all the chips - not right! I phoned and was told well we cook the fish & the chips in the same oil! Not the point really, who wants fishy chips!! Also vegetarians beware! The chips are cooked in the same oil as the fish

Whilst food was delivered on time it was cold. This was disappointing. You pick a delivery time and expect it to be hot. Veggie burger was disgusting and mush. Avoid their veggie section. Chips were anaemic. Avoid this fish and chip shop there are better in town

Fish still had uncooked batter on it like it had been cooked in low temperature oil and chips were lukewarm but the rubbish bin enjoyed it never again

Order was delivered without drinks, called the restaurant constantly for 30 mins but engaged. Check you order before letting the driver go, food was average chips luke warm.

Absolutely awful. A large cod was more like a stickle back dry as a Trex bone and nasty chips. Should have looked at reviews they slag off other food establishments to try to get customers to eat there sub par offerings. Really does smack of desperation.

Not sure who's leaving these good food reviews, must be friends or family. Fish was hard & a golden brown colour. The batter was like eating wet bread. Sausage in batter looked like it had been sitting on a shelf as an award for world's worst battered sausage and the curry sauce was like tap water. Apart from that it was fine

Missing bread roll! Chips were ice cold and tasted like they had been out all day. Battered sausage was soggy and the curry sauce had been sat somewhere so long it arrived separated!! Overall terrible! Missing items and rubbish quality of food! Not even a 1/10!

Food was late which I appreciate with the storms can happen (time quoted was around 1 hour to 1 hour 20 initially). Food was stone cold on delivery do not sure if it had been sitting around beforehand or the driver did not have a heat bag?

we have been coming to this fish and chip shop for 20 years , the food this time was terrible , the cod was dry and rubbery , the kebab wrap was very very greasy. we spent £60 . very disappointed

Usually a very good friendly place to go for food. We arranged collection today and although I ticked all the boxes for what salad I wanted (which btw was all) I had no salad. No salad with a mixed doner? The meat was dry and the garlic sauce that I risked asking for you to put on for me cos is usually too much was barely anything and it had gone all dry .. have requested refund through Uber eats and hope you understand and can refund me . Thanks - payed by card

Chips were very greasy, the curry sauce had no flavour and had huge pieces in it. The burgers came all greasy too. We normally use a different fish and chip shop but they are closed on a Sunday so chose this chip shop. Sadly we won't be using it again. The food from the fish and chip shop we normally use is not greasy at all and so full of flavour!

One of the best fish and chips in this area. I’d recommend. Kebab is good as well. Good hygiene standards. Owners can be a bit grumpy but they are competent.

The kebab meat was a bit cold-and the cheesy chips ‘large portion ‘ was a lot smaller than the plain chips large portion. Burgers were fine as were onion rings :-)

Friendly staff but my food was absolutely disgusting the jumbo batter sausage was horrible. The chips was raw in the middle and was not cooked properly. I will never go back there again. If I could I'd give zero stars!

Friendly staff but terrible food. Cold hard chips and beef sausages. Should really tell you if they are not serving pork. We called to say the chips were cold and hard and was told "They know that the chips are hard and it's because of the type of potatoes used". Been eating chips for donkey's year's and have NEVER come across hard chips. Avoid!

Battered sausages smelt and tasted off and we had dodgy stomachs the next day. No apology from shop.
