Dixy Chicken in Harlow

I had a lovely family dining here. My kids loved the spicy wings and fries. The drink was chilled, and it was a good size to share.

Absolutely don't order here, I asked for hot sauce in my first order, it didn't come, when I called, they said there was density and apologised, I welcomed it with understanding, I ordered it again 2 days later and I said I especially wanted hot sauce, it came 1 hour later in my 2 orders and there was no hot sauce, when I called and said they said they were intense again and they could give me hot sauce if I came there, this is a business that uses your good intentions

Chicken wings smell and taste like they've been sitting in a freezer for years absolutely awful

Food is great, customer service sucks though, they charge you online prices If you make an order by phone. They want you to wait in the shop but some people just don't have the time for that. If you buy a meal they give the drink straight away and then you have to wait with your drink for the food, resulting in the drink warming up by the time you get your food. If you tell them to give the drink after they look moody and mostly forget to give it to you. 1 lady in particular is quite rude, which I find really annoying. Youre only lucky if youre served by the the young guy who cooks

Order is always late no matter weekday or a weekend.

Ordered from here a good few times. The service is good. The food is always hot and tasty. But I ordered large beans and large gravy as sides and they came in small miniature pots, nothing 'large' about them.

Expecting more quantity for full donor ,but over all nice place for Halal food.

WORST PLACE TO EAT STAFF HAVE ATTITUDE AN FOOD WAS DISGUSTING PLEAEE DO NOT GO HERE Worst place I’ve been the women behind counter was so rude. Food was disgusting chicken burger was size of a small 99p cheese burger which tasted nasty looks like a 2 bite burger chips were uncooked soft nasty. Also the wings were so bad no flavour soft nasty. Paid over £10 an couldn’t even eat it.

I specially requested the staff for the fresh food but the food was not fresh. Couldn’t eat and gone wasted

NEVER going here again. The food is good but the customer service is appalling. The blonde lady is not fit for the job at all. A group of customers walked in and asked her if she was Polish today and she said no and that she really dislikes Polish people. Little did she know the customers in the queue were Polish. It's actually disgraceful and so unprofessional luckily I recorded it and will make sure EVERYONE in Harlow knows. I've given the staff the benefit of the doubt before - everyone has bad days. Providing bad customer service and being moody all the time is one thing but discriminating people based on where they come from is disgusting and won't be tolerated. I feel uncomfortable going to a shop where hatred towards me and other Polish people is promoted. I hope I never see her visiting the Polish shop in that case. Please educate your staff and teach them basic manners!!!!!

Order three chicken meals, one of them was good rest of them chicken was pink

Very bad food the chips are boiled second time. That lady with blonde hair she is very rude. I ordered meal she don’t give even a souce. They asking money for any souce… Not going there any more, I will tell all my friends and family to don’t use this shop. Don’t wast your money …

Ordered online, after phoning twice the food was eventually delivered 2 & half hours after being ordered. Won't be ordering again, especially when they tell you it will be 10 minutes

less then a star if i can .... i ordered 2 quarter pound at 7.30 pm and is 20.40 pm and didnt receive the order yet i called the restaurant at 20.15 and ask an update on my order then a man sayd the order will leave the restaurant now and then i said ok and waiting another 20 minute i called again at 20.40 and ask them again and a lady answer and she said your oerder is still here we will give to the driver now honestly this is a shame !!!!!!!!!!! looks like they jocking with customers!!! im realy really disappointed tonight im a very regular customer going in there a lot of times order take away lot of times but im sorry but tonight i had to give you a bad review because of the attitude over the phone of the lady who i spoke to !!! she didn't even apologies to me !!!! and she didn even explain to me what was going on on why my order was taking so long and late !!!!! tonight will be my last day ordering here im really disappointed !

I always eat at dixy as I go to Harlow town often to do my shopping , food is nice , the place is clean , never disappointed the price is cheaper compared to other burger shops. I highly recommend it, try the spicy burger or wrap yummy

Had lunch here with my 17 year old son he had the 6 spicy chicken wings meal with fries and a dip and drink. I had boneless chicken strips meal chips and a dip and drink ,was lovely , I didn't take a photo on this occasion. Maybe next time

It's a pretty good outlet for non-vegetarians living around Harlow Town Centre, with very limited options for vegetarians (veg burger & chips). But, that's understandable, considering their name! It offers enough options that are priced reasonably. The food served is good here. They also give you hand wipes, which is not common in many restaurants. Also, make sure to ask for ketchup if you want, coz they don't give it unless asked. A lovely place to go for a quick bite after you're tired and done after shopping at the town centre.

Have eaten in and ordered delivery several times from here and it never disappointed. The workers and even the delivery drivers are nice and friendly. The shop is clean with enough place to sit down and enjoy the food. Someone might think southern fried chicken is just a simple thing to make but so many places fail to do it right. Not this place. They are consistent with the quality of fried chicken. Always well seasoned crunchy batter and juicy well fried chicken inside. Fries are yummy too.

The food is really tasty. Wings are not so spacy and chips are fresh. Food can have more spices.

Food is great, very stingy with sauce. Only one sauce tub for free. Prices are very high.

Ordered 2 fillet burgers and 2 sizzler burgers, 4 Pieces chicken, 4 regular fries and 1.5 ltr bottle of drink. 4PIECES OF CHICKEN was missing. Not happy.

I ordered two meals with few other items, fries were missing. I was over charged £2 and yes their chicken wings were very very dry. Overall very bad experience. Never ever going back their ever again.

I like their spicy chicken wings so does my daughter. We try to go there at least once a week after I pick my daughter up from school. Food is always nice and hot.

SO DANGEROUS - PEANUT ALLERGY - My partner called to ask if they use peanut oil as this is becoming quite popular and we called and there first response was "No we use vegetable oil only, no peanut oil at all" we checked with other sources and called later on to place an order to then be told they do infact use peanut oil. I am anaphylaxis to peanuts and this would of killed me or put me into hospital!!!!! educate your staff and apply this to your websites.

Better than KFC any day! I'm not a regular chicken shop eater but was walking past & kids wanted it. The chicken strips were cooked fresh while we waited, the place is immaculate, staff are clean & well presented. Good size portions, lovely chips & great quality tasty chicken. You've got yourself some regulars!

Very nice way of serving food. Each meal is served separately. Delicious crispy food is available all the time.

Ordered for the first time as I was craving KFC and I couldn’t get it delivered so took the risk and ordered from here. I wasn’t disappointed. I ordered their original recipe (6 pieces) and the wings. Both were excellent quality, coating was even, crisp, consistent and tasted good. The delivery seemed to be running behind so I phoned the shop - the guy I spoke to was very friendly, professional and just generally gave great customer service. I only have one recommendation to the shop: - when sending out buckets of chicken; put an absorbent piece of tissue at the bottom instead of grease-proof paper, the last bit of chicken didn’t get eaten because it got a bit soggy by being on the bottom of the bucket. Apart from that very small improvement my order and experience was still 5 star.

In a town full of Chicken Joints, this place is a step above the rest. Lovely moist Chicken and golden crunchy chips and if the server is to be believed... The secret is fresh Chicken delivered daily.. Rather than out the deep freeze.. Winning combo..

Giving two stars purely on the fact they try to deceive you when they don't have what you asked for ready. Two orders month apart via Uber eats issue both times. First time was given strip burger instead of fillet burger assuming fillets were still cooking. 2nd time was given fillet with chilli sauce instead of Sizzler burger and wrong drink assuming they didn't have any sizzler so thought chuck some chilli sauce on standard burger. Food is of standard chicken shop quality but the service received is poor. Dixys I have used in London are a lot better.

The food was very nice but the portions very stingy. £7 on a meal and the burger looked like a kids meal and the chips were few and far between. Wouldn't return due to this.

Great Chicken burger meal, as good as this type of establishment gets. Could be due to Corona that everything was freshly cooked as obviously less customers so cooking to order, not sure what it would be like at busy times but can only judge on this occasion.
