I can (cant) fault the place. I can fault them for not sering customers in the shop before those on the phone, i had 3 callers cut me off whilst standing in 1st place in the shop once. Next visit if there's a que i'll call them while in their shop and place my order as a big FU to everyone ahead of me in the shop! Food wise / love it, number 53 chicken with chilli's, egg fried rice and some dry ribs :P They don't take card unfortunately which sucks. - even our absurd amount of barber shops (?drug fronts) have started taking credit cards

This is Chinese food is great and probably the best in haslemere, will definitely visit again!

Food OK, Quick service, but not much for vegetarians.

The food was bland. Very pale sauce to each dish. Collection was only 10 minutes, but do question how it was cooked so quickly, pre-cooked, and reheated maybe. Edible, but certainly not the best. I will be trying others locally before returning.

Bad food services by the chefs . Burnt food and tried returning it for a refund like they asked and refused a full refund , been a customer at this place for 20 years the new owners aren’t very nice at dealing with issues!

Very below average food , not great, waste of £28, all went in the bin, we will not be returning. Staff friendly.

Have had several meals from here, always hot, tasty and filling

Due to allergies I wanted the shrimp on the side rather than in the special chow mein. They could do this but wanted £3 extra for an extra dish, seemed very steep! No prawn crackers either, which you get at most other takeaways, a little disappointing overall.

I never thought I liked Chinese till I went to the tasty. You'll struggle find better in China town.

Best Chinese takeaway I know! Beats every Chinese I have had since moving to London. Food is always excellent and the service is quick and efficient.

Not vegetarian friendly. Vegetable mini spring rolls had chunks of meat in them which I didn’t realise til mid bite. Distressing for a vegetarian. Tofu in the sweet and sour tofu dish was stiff. Also no vegan/veggie prawn cocktails on offer despite there being brands widely available these days

This is my local Chinese, we moved to Hindhead about a year ago and this has been our go to on days we can’t be asked to cook! Which surprisingly isn’t very often! Our go to is N10 which we had never tried before coming here, it’s salt and pepper chicken and chips and is hands down a favourite. If you haven’t tried this I would highly recommend. For the traditional Chinese I’d suggest chow mien or special fried rice and crispy shredded beef or sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style! They are reasonable with order turnover as they are very popular. If ordering on a Friday night I suggest ordering early as the wait time gets quite long the later you leave it because of the popularity of this restaurant. It’s a takeaway only and cash only. Very kind service and very polite.

We ordered a Takeaway last week to get it home and find a portion of food was missing, although we had paid for it. We called them and advised this and was made to feel like it was our fault. They advised us that they took note of our contact number and surname and that we could have the dish complementary from them next time. We called yesterday to order another takeaway and advised of this conversation. We were accused of lying and that they were not willing to honour it. I advised I was not going to fall out over £5.60 and said we would still like to have it. We again got home to find it was missing. So we called and they were again making it feel like it was our fault. We went down there to return the food and get a refund as by this point it was all cold. The owner come out and was very aggressive towards my partner. Shouting at her to put the bag of food on the counter. Whilst also hearing him shout with his wife in the kitchen. It made us feel very uncomfortable. God forbid if any young children were in there at the time No-one we spoke to said sorry once. The worst experience I have ever had. Will certainly not be using them ever again and would recommend to stay clear of this disgraceful ‘business’.

Really shocking service. Ordered a family meal and explained at the time we have young children. They said it would be 55 mins which was quite a wait anyway, but it was a Friday so no school tomorrow , so agreed that would be ok. My husband went to collect it in good time and was then kept waiting in the shop for almost another 45 mins after the order was agreed it would ready. Clearly greed for money comes ahead of service. Have used them before and it was fine, but their attitude was shocking. No apologies, no compensation. Will never use them again and would warn that sadly you cant believe what they tell you. The food was not up to previous standard either - £35 later, food hardly touched and very let down by a local enterprise. Very disappointing all round.

Always great food and very reliable

Generous portion of tofu (firm and well fried) in blackbean sauce with fresh green peppers and red chilli, excellent dish and good value. Will be buying again.

Favourite Chinese in the area and reasonable price. Usually parking right outside. Good portion sizes and individually wrapped items. Open on a Monday night too is a bonus.

Food was generally okay, but if you order a tofu dish you'll be eating tough, spongy rubber. It really wasn't good. Prawn dishes were cooked well though, so perhaps you'll get better results if your not a vegetarian.

Got a take away last Saturday. didn’t have to wait long after ordering plus the food was great. No complaints whatsoever.

Can't understand the bad reviews, we've used the tasty for years and have been very happy. The ribs are great as well as the sweet and sour.

We have been ordering from the tasty for about 6 months now. Easily the best Chinese in town and accompanied by lovely staff. We've been lucky enough to get extra prawn crackers and few extra spring rolls too. Food is great and a special shout out to the pork balls. Not sure what these negative reviews are all about. Would recommend.

The duck, rice and chicken balls were very nice though it was let down by the sweet and sour sauce. It had quite a vinigary taste to it.

I'm not a great user of fast food but I've had food from here a number of times. The barbeque ribs are terrific and the the Singapore fried noodles lovely.

Service was good only had to wait about 20 minutes for our order. The food was excellent an extremely enjoyable meal. Would definitely recommend this place.

Had a good takeaway from here, then poor the next time. Special rice or Singapore noodles have very little going on. Also says on the menu that it’s 40p charge on card payments, but you can’t actually use a card unless your order is £18 + ! Very odd considering it’s 2019!!! Not sure I’ll visit again.

This is our nearest Chinese takeaway and I can't fault its food. The menu is typical but the prices are good and the food is prepared swiftly -except when they're busy. Then service can drag a bit. Just a shame they don't deliver.

Have had many enjoyable meals from this takeaway. Fresh ingredients, full of flavour. Friendly and courteous service. Fast service with a good hit rate of orders being ready at the stated time.

Comprar dulce y agria pollo, champiñones, huevo frito foo yung de arroz y carne con nueces de anacardo. La tienda parece un poco sucia, pero la comida era excelente y la cantidad era asombroso, se celebró en pan de gambas y nosotros dos) (no podía comer toda la comida. He estado buscando un lugar decente para llevar comida china local a mi casa y este le vendría bien.

El personal era muy agradable y cortés y el servicio era rápido. Sin embargo, la comida carecía de una verdadera sustancia o sabor. Pedí especial Chow mein, limón pollo, fideos fritos y en comparación con la de donde normalmente comprar desde (famoso chef en Grayshott) de Singapur que encontré esta comida un poco decepcionante. El camarón // pollo cerdo presencia en los fideos, fue considerablemente menos de lo esperado pero una vez más, estoy comparando esto a lo que me he acostumbrado a esperar de nuestro lugar habitual. La cantidad de pollo limón dieron era muy generoso sin embargo ... sólo carecía de profundidad de sabor para mí. Además, mientras se espera para la comida, me di cuenta de que los protectores de asientos de las sillas en la sala de espera eran bastante sucia ... no fue una buena primera impresión y no es un lugar que lo intentaría de nuevo principalmente porque no disfrutar de la comida.

Nos trasladamos a la zona hace un mes o así y decidimos probar la sabrosa. Felices los gerentes, muy buena comida y no el GMS. Las costillas estaban algunos de los mejores que hemos tenido en un llevar y el pato era suculentos y deliciosa. Volveremos.

Never again ,Stale Prawn crackers & satay sauce like out of date chicken soup not a peanut in sight,this was not the first time we visited & was disappointed

Just had another excellent meal from The Tasty. I have had takeaways from them many times and the food has always been good. The service is quick and you don't have to repeat yourself on the phone. I don't think they have ever got my order wrong either. One of my favourite dishes is deep fried squid with spicy salt and chili. I will continue to be a regular customer.

Just thought we would try this Chinese take away and the noodles tasted plasticy and sweet (almost as if it was off). Me and my son could not eat another mouthful. Would NOT recommend this take away.

Surprised no reviews for the Tasty as probably most popular Chinese restaurant in Haslemere. It is very good and well worth trying out. As with most of the takeaways in town there is no home delivery but they quickly sort out telephone orders to pick up. Food is consistently high quality with good substantial, and tasty, mains in particular.
