Tasteless and really fatty, won't be going back

Great food, good price, thanks a lot!

Terrible food with terrible service. Ordered 2 medium chips to get home to find them cold and with a bad texture. Made my way back and explained to Boy 1 of my issue. Boy 1 then ignored me, walked around the back, came back and then picked up the phone that started ringing. Boy 2 then asked me if I was ok. I explained I was talking to boy 1 but my chips were bad. He then got the manager who told me they couldn't be bad as they were cooked 5/10mins ago. Explaining that they were and I may of got the batch before, she then angrily packed me 2 chips. Boy 2 explained to her I had salt and vinegar, the manager said to him "if he wants salt and vinegar, he can do it at home". Boy 2 handed me the chips, so I asked if I have to do salt and vinegar at home. "Yes" was his response. Make the journey and go into town for fish and chips, this shops standards have dropped significantly. And yes, the chips that were served the second time, were just as bad as the first.

Sadly this place goes from bad to worse. Have not used for a while but tried again as passing to get takeaway fish and chips. The chips are terrible cut and thin and not fried properly, the fish was undercooked with soggy batter and the quarter of chicken was dry and very small. Maybe the Chinese is slightly better but don’t go there for fish and chips as woeful. I think they just don’t care

Only good chips are the ones placed on top, those underneath are rank, 2 bits of slimey fish slapped together sold as cod!!

Driven past here hundreds of times but this evening my son asked if we could get some chips - as a treat I thought why not! Wish we hadn’t - chips were hard and dry (had probably been kept warm for ages) and slightly bitter (probably due to the cooking oil in need of changing). Most frustratingly I was curtly told “we don’t take card payments under £10” Really? It’s 2023 for goodness sake & long gone are any heavy charges on retailers levied by banks for taking debit card payments. The chap who sells coffee from a van near where I work will joyfully (and prefers to) take card payments for a couple of pounds. So, I had to (and seemed to be expected to) round up my £8.80 order to £10 just for the privilege of buying these awful chips. Bad impression of this place and safe to say won’t be returning. Kingfish by the Station sets a good standard round here. Sorry Jade Palace, you need to do so much better if you want customers to return.

Not usually the type of place I would visit but my friend I was with is a frequent customer, extremely disappointed in the food and attention to detail with the order. They failed to include the burger we paid for, the fish was soggy and more batter than fish. The food was extremely pricey for what it was and the ribs had very little bone to meat ratio. Everything was covered in a thick coating of vinegar. I would highly recommend avoiding this place and seek better local options. Rare I write a negative review but this place was extremely disappointing.

Great little Chinese takeaway that does Fish and chips too.

Disgusting takeaway. All went in the bin. Congealed, cold and tasteless. Sorry to be so harsh but its a fact. On top of that, the order was wrong. Restaurant not very sympathetic and no offer of a refund.

We had takeaway today, and crispy shredded chilli beef and beef noodles was very bad today. Very disappointed today.

Good for a stop-off for a fast feed on the way through. Good fish, decent curry sauce and not way overpriced. Will return.

Very efficient, delivery time exactly as requested. Food perfectly cooked, succulent and flavoursome. I so wish I lived closer so that I could use this regularly.

Been coming here for years. The best chinese takeaway I've tried! Great fish & chips too. Always friendly staff - when its busy they tend to be quick and to the point (although never unfriendly) which I understand as theres only one person taking orders over the phone as well as in person.

Prices have gone up a few times recently but always great food and good delivery service 👌

The fish was under coocked the large chips were barely a small and they were soggy overall i wont feed it to my dog

I hadn't been for several years as I moved away from Farnham but have just had chicken with ginger and spring onion and beef and peppers in black bean sauce. It was amazing! Veg were just the right crispness, sauce was light and maybe even homemade. The best by far I can ever remember having. My friend agrees! The person at the desk was very cheerful and enthusiastic.

Every Chinese takeaway we’ve had has been the best in the area, highly recommended.

My partner and I got food poisoning

Jade Garden delivered to the wrong address. They telephoned me and were very abusive asking why I didnt open the door to them. I tried to explain that their driver must have gone to the wrong address, but they denied this and said they will never serve us again and slammed the telephone down! Well the feeling is mutual, and absolute disgusting attitude & service.

Just finished a carry out from the Wrecclesham branch. Excellent friendly service, food was extremely tasty. Sorry I don't live in this part of the country, I am from north of the border!

Went down hill about 3-4 years ago, but now has great food, salt and chilli ribs are magical

Outstanding fish and chips...probably the best I've ever had.... Quick service, price was spot on and lovely food. Sausage in batter was delicious too.... Definitely our go to now... Dont understand the recent negatives......

It's the worst chippy I have ever been to, and I've lived up north

Disappointed so far 2nd in the queue and still waiting 45min later it seems like they are more interested in phone orders. I could have been to aldershot and back by now so needless to say probably the last time I will use this stop

Chips were awful, tasted reheated, soft, oily, soggy, went in the bin. Spring roll was disgusting too, one bite and straight in the bin with the chips. Travelling all round the UK this is one of the worst I've been to.

Some of my favourite fish and chips to have after a day of work. It’s a joy seeing for my family have it for dinner and the delivery is always faster than expected, even ordering at the counter the service is amazing :)). There chinese is even better though😍. They have amazing chefs and the menu seems to be endless. I highly recommend egg fried rice, it includes prawns and chicken with the the rice, definitely a great dish to try first. If your not a fan of the rice another mouth watering starter are the dumplings. There are also lots of healthy options on their menu which i would recommend. Hope you enjoy Jade Garden like me 😊

After trying their food a several years later, I must say it has improved by a lot. I really enjoy their curry type dishes and the chips are great. Some of their dishes are still a bit of a hit and miss for me hence the 4 stars. But I would give 5 stars for the speedy service (on collections) and the staff are always friendly.

Not been to the Jade Garden for years, But we tried it again tonight and it was lovely hot fresh and really tasty.

A little bit frustrating that they are so adamant on cash only under £10, if this changes its definitely a 5 star review. The food is great.

Totally bland no flavour whatsoever! If my eyes were closed I couldn't tell you what I was eating. Dry meat even in sauce. Very disappointed

We get a meal from here on a regular basis food very good fast delivery but just lately it's like a lucky dip ordered sweet and sour no sweet and sour sauce tonight ordered beef curry got a chicken curry it was ok but not what I wanted think there so busy and short staffed they can't take the orders right but hey will still go back just wish I had checked my order tonight I didn't take back as so hungry been working all day and not eaten so I eat it

Collected our takeaway including Malaysian Sauce tofu dish for me. I'm presuming they put the wrong thing in because it was a bland mixed veg dish, no tasty sauce at all (listed as hot). Phoned to see if I'd someone elses food and got through to a voicemail message saying I couldn't leave a message. Not the first time I've been disappointed with thier service, but will be the last. Pity because my husband likes the black bean sauce beancurd.

Food was lukewarm when delivered, ordered a large cod and got regular size, chips were on the soft side, Chinese food tended to be too salty, portions were small. Will not order again!

Loved this place! Food was made quickly for collection, reasonably priced, and a friendly, helpful man served us. We chose to order our takeaway from here as they had great vegetarian options, the malaysian satay fried tofu was one of the best me and my partner have tasted! Will come here again :)

So bad don't go here awfull customer care they don't value there customers used nice and tasty tonite best Chinese had in a long time lovely friendly staff family run and will be taking mine and my family custom there last time I ordered we got what is shown on photo and when I rang to tell Yuki she was so so rude considering we have been such good customers in past . You will be loosing alot of custom now ....

Appalling ordered mixed starter and it had a bone in it and no meat couldn't believe our eyes everything cold and rang up to tell the proprietor Yuki very rude woman and laughed at us down the phone will never use again a discussing response to a ligitamete complaint off poor food and service no stars for this business

The chips were great but the fish was appalling. It was dry and miniscule with the batter as hard as a biscuit also thick and oily. If this was a restaurant I would have sent it back. Gave an extra star for the decent portion of chips.

Have given no refund or delivered food . Voicemail everyone you call. Sister stuck at home from car accident and they say it's not their problem. taking this further

We placed a takeaway order for 5 people, the food was of a very good quality, and hot we were given some free prawn crackers. The food was very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly

Really good quality Chinese, I was reluctant to order from here, however last year they had to replace their fryer but it was being specially built in Holland and would take 3 months to arrive, so they concentrated on the Asian menu to keep the doors open, I am so glad they did because it is a great menu and the portions are good, service is very quick, their best dish is Malaysian Satay Chicken, and Hong Kong style Chicken which is slightly tart and comes in a very light coating of batter which offsets the sweet satay perfectly, I would if allowed eat here more than once a week because its such good quality and I'm a gannet, but the Mrs wont allow it, give it a try you wont be disappointed.....

Slight issue with the delivery order, but after a call it was all sorted quickly and the lady on the phone was so polite, apologetic and fab! Great food, good prices, and relatively quick delivery!!

Takaway delivered it was cold... called them they argued saying it was hot my 76 year old mother in law does not lie then they blamed the driver.. I called back as they did not call me they still argued it was hot on arrival. ..we did not want our money back..we wanted them to say sorry We will never eat from them again

When ever I travel down from Norfolk to visit a friend we always get their fish and chips . Always freshly cooked and taste lovely. Recent disappointment there was a problem with the fryer and meant unable to do their fish and chips for quite a while. All up and running now. Have not tried their Chinese food yet.

This Takeaway was a renowned Fish & Chip shop when we moved to the area in 1983. After several changes of ownership it morphed into a high quality fish & chip and Chinese takeaway under Chinese management & staff. The fish & chips are still the best in the area with the ingredients all fresh cooked. The Chinese menu + Thai and Malaysian dishes is the most extensive in our area. Quality is excellent and choice of dish and portions are ample with reasonable prices. Home delivery over £10 is very reliable.
