The tappers harker in Ashfield

Unfortunately the hand pulled beer was off but the neck oil was good. My steak and ale pie was fine but my wife's meal was very disappointing. The pub had a nice feel and the staff were excellent. Can't reply to the reply... We did enjoy our time in the pub and would return. As said the staff were very good - things can go wrong in any walk of life, that isn't the issue - what is done in response is the important thing; we weren't expecting or hoping for a refund and so cannot fault the service

Stopped here overnight with our motorhome, it's car park is excellent for any size unit. The management led by Jamie and Victor is both welcoming and friendly. Great range of beers and superb good value food. Made us really welcome, all the pub asks is to buy a drink and meal for a safe place to park up. Ring ahead to be courteous.

Staff really attentive, massive screens and would recommend a vist if in the area.

Our Sunday roast was absolutely fantastic. Jamie really looked after us and couldn't fault his customer service. Would return in the future.

We were made to feel very welcome by Jamie and Victor when we arrived in our motorhome. They are both so friendly .We stayed for a few nights and ate every day in the pub, the food was lovely, plentiful and hot. We can especially highly recommend the sunday roast. The pub is well ran, nothing is too much trouble and we will certainly be back.

What a lovely find, nice split between the restaurant and the bar, the food was delicious and came out fast. We stayed to watch a bit of the darts too which was equally as good with a nice atmosphere.

Amazing pub for food, been here a few times now and never disappointed. The menu is big and has plenty of variety, the bar is well stocked with all the normal products plus some not so well known stuff. The staff are always friendly and very helpful. This is definitely one of the nicer places in Long Eaton to go with the family.

We had such a lovely Mother’s Day meal here at the Tappers. The staff looked after our needs really well and very professionally, the food was really good quality and great value. Chris the boss is a really good guy and checked on us several times. I would recommend you to take a look if you’re in the area. Thanks again Tappers.

This spot is great for a casual bite to eat, the staff are very attentive and Jamie couldn’t help us enough. The tappers was very clean and on arrival our table we booked was wiped clean before our arrival. Couldn’t thank them enough for a special day we had.

Very friendly staff, table cleaned prior to our arrival, we had a few changes to the meals which the staff accommodated for us, the food and drink was reasonably priced and went down well by us all. When asked when to pay the bar staff said it's your choice which put the customer first, a great all round experience

The tappers is a very popular place for their Sunday roast. We was surprised for the value for money the roast was, the taste of the food was delicious. I would like to thank Jamie, he was very attentive.

Whoever was on shift at 14:30 was appalling. Swearing, shouting at customers who are mates. Indecent conversations and drinking on the job. This behaviour has ruined this pub for me

Staff pleasant and attentive. There were 4 people in my party, the food was delivered altogether and well presented.

Great place to be. NYE disco was the place to be. Town was quite but the tappers was striving with a busy and friendly atmosphere.

The food here is really good, we've just had pizzas, they were fresh homemade and really tasty. Looks like it would be a good place to watch sports too as it has a huge media screen. Definitely recommend a visit.

It's OK. Food is typical pub food. Service is OK when someone is actually at the bar to serve you. Not much of an atmosphere, unfortunately, but it's OK overall.

Came here to watch the 100 series, massive screen and loads of others dotted around the pub, so great to watch sports. We ate here too which was good, the burger was lovely. I'd definitely recommend a visit, we will be back.

We had a brilliant afternoon at the Tappers, first time we'd been to Monday bingo. Really good crowd of people taking part, the landlord made it a good laugh too. We ate after, we all had pizzas, they were really good. We'll be back next week, thanks for a lovely afternoon.

Excellent clean, inviting pub. The food was well good. A lot of TV screens I bet it's good to go and watch a sporting event there. They have specials most days, Monday was pizza and a drink. Give it a go, I liked and would go back

Not too bad, went for a three course meal, The garlic breaded mushrooms starter was a little bland, the lasagne as main meal was great and the victoria sponge pudding went down a treat. Service was good but I do have to say that some of the younger bar and waiting team need to learn to establish a boundary between being friendly and flirty. Atmosphere was good but as with every bar, there's always one or two whom get drunk and makes others feel a little uncomfortable. 3 stars overall.

Helpful large screen — Carling £4.15 filled to the brim. Great start to a classic night out in Long Eaton FYI is every night. Positive bus routes a further walk into town and supportive customers always in the area. Smoking area also pool table too, a broad place.

I recommend this pub in Long Eaton . The food is great and the staff are friendly. It gets busy at weekends, and the beer garden is a good place when you have kids. Not far from the town center.

Lived within a stones throw of this place for years, through various management and I still keep coming back. It's a decent local, the regulars are nice, food is never bad, the prices are reasonable, the Guinness never tastes like a wet dog smells (why this happens I'll never know but some places struggle with this revolting phenomenon) and lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the staff have always been tiptop. Hats off to Jamie for taking care of us on this visit. Yeah ok, it's a Marston's pub so it's never going to be fine dining while a chisel-jawed mixologist effortlessly throws a perfect cocktail together but for what it is, this place does it well enough to keep me coming back.

I haven't been back here since COVID. Oh my word it's amazing. The food has definitely changed and it's perfect. The service was wonderful (thank you Jamie). If you haven't been then I would definitely recommend it. I look forward to going back.
