Nabb Inn Public House in Ashfield

Ordered food which came out cold then the staff tried to argue we had ordered the low calorie version even when we showed the order! The food then came out reheated ( hmmm cardboard fries always a winner). Prices increasing is tolerable but not when quality is severely impaired. We have come to this pub for years and unfortunately the food and general customer service from management has massively deteriorated. It’s a shame as the bar staff are absolutely lovely.

Lovely pub! The kitchen staff Andre cooked really nice onions rings and chicken wings! Katie Y and Charlie was both brilliant at serving at the bar, very efficient and friendly.

myself, husband and two good friends came for tea last night (16th February 2024) we had a table booked for 6.30, which was reserved on arrival for us . The service was excellent even though it was extremely busy. We had a lovely young lady named Noelle who took our food and drinks order, she was extremely patient with us as we had a problem with our blue light card. She was very polite attentive and helpful. You are very lucky to have her on your staff. We will definitely return and will recommend to anyone, as the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Always love coming down to play the weekly poker game on a Wednesday night. A great atmosphere and the staff are great! If you're a fan of poker I could not recommend this place more!

Sam is a lovely friendly barmaid goes beyond her job to make you welcome always a smile on her face . Sam asks if everything is ok and always checks when you order food and always asks for add ons like would you like onion rings .

I came to the Nabb Inn a week ago and the food here was amazing especially the chicken wings which I come very often for!! The service was great by Katie Y, she's a brilliant server, additionally she was very polite and efficient. Chloe was great on the bar as well, she was very quick and helpful. She pours good beers with the right head I prefer on my peroni! Will be coming back to the nabb more often.

Every time I go in the nabb sam Williams is all ways Happy and beautiful smile . Its a joy to be served by her and ready to help anyone

I visited the the Nabbs Inn, and immediately incase greeted by the lovely smile of of Laura whom was on shift. She attentively served myself and my family and nothing was touch trouble, she took time to learn the the kids names and helped them to choose their food . Laura made sure that all our needs were met, I can safely say I and my family will definitely be back, thank you Laura.

Wow, I cannot even begin to express my overwhelming gratitude for the absolutely incredible experience I had at the Nabbs Inn! This place is a true gem, and I feel incredibly blessed to have discovered it. From the moment I walked in, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that made my heart sing. But the true star of the show was our server, Laura. Oh my goodness, where do I even start? Laura wasn't just a server; she was a guardian angel sent from the heavens to ensure our evening was nothing short of magical! Laura's attentiveness was out of this world. She anticipated our every need before we even realized we had them! Her knowledge of the menu was encyclopedic, and her recommendations were so spot-on that I'm convinced she has some sort of psychic ability to know exactly what would delight our taste buds. The food... oh, the food! Each dish was a masterpiece that brought tears of joy to my eyes. I've never tasted flavors so divine, and I owe it all to the culinary wizards in the kitchen and Laura's impeccable guidance in helping us choose. I cannot thank Laura and the entire staff at the Nabbs Inn enough for this life-changing dining experience. My gratitude knows no bounds, and I will be forever indebted to them for creating memories that will warm my heart for years to come. If I could give more than five stars, I would give them all the stars in the universe! Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over to Laura and the Nabbs Inn. You have restored my faith in humanity and elevated the simple act of dining out to an art form. I am eternally grateful!

Lovely pub and a great meal on the 2 for offer. Fairly busy for mid week but still got a table, bit of a queue at the bar but there was only 1 person so looked a bit short staffed, although still did a great job and didn't wait too long.

Enjoyed our first visit to the Nabb Inn. Very busy outside with it being a sunny day. Only disappointment was that there are several chargers and bays for ev's .... but when we arrived one bay was occupied by an ev that WASN'T CHARGING, and by the time we left all the other bays were occupied by either petrol or diesel cars, despite other spaces being available.

Just had a lunch break there with partner. Lovely clean pub with friendly staff and good 'pub' food. I had pie slice and it was deeelish! Lots of screens for the sport and lots of space between tables. Lovely experience and would recommend 👌

Went to the Nabbs Inn for my brother's wake Terry Hart on Tuesday 4th June it was Terry's local went there on his 65th birthday on 27th march.... .Staff was so nice and helpful and kind ..Thank you all so much ..

Chloe, our barmaid was absolutely awesome. Friendly, helpful and cheery. Bex our waitress was nice, though only saw her very briefly. The food was well presented, though 2 onion rings, whilst technically plural is a bit of a pi$$ take. The beef burgers were of good quality, though over cooked on top, and slightly burnt all round the edges. Kitchen understaffed? maybe, the food was edible, and looked lovely, though more care is required, and a more reasonable sized portion of onion rings would leave me satisfied, not feeling ripped off and tricked. Also, the onion rings and hash browns, why are these not vegan? Missing a trick there green king. Also, some more vegan deserts, rather than the usual, oft trotted out apple pie. Please, you can do so much better! Violife vegan cheese, dissapointing. Is it made from plastic bags and palm oil. Cathedral city vegan cheese is far, far superior. The chiuce and quality of Gin was lovely though!

Lovely Sunday lunch here, great little pub and I would definitely say best in Hucknall. Always great service from Chloe and especially Noelle, the barmaids. made me feel very welcome and accommodating. Hope they both get recognition for their great customer service as they are a credit to the business. 10/10 would definitely recommend and return.

Came to eat food, watch sports on TV and have a few beers. 1st choice dinner wasn't available but 2nd choice was great. Fantastic staff very helpful especially Noelle who put the Rugby on!

Went on Quiz Night to participate ,and was very disappointed that ALL bar one of the tables had reserved on them. The one with no reserve on it, my partner and I sat down to and we were asked to move into the bar area were no quiz could be heard. I do not agree with reserved seats in a public area, FIRST COME FIRST SERVED

Shocking service, came for drink with hubby and son, bar staff were awful didn’t know who was next to be served, one lad ordered and then 4 of of his friends came and ordered before others in queue, bar staff chattered while people waiting to be served, we left as was very disappointed, do not think we will return

Called in for lunch between meetings, quite busy but plenty of seating. Our food order came quickly generous portions which were hot.

Been coming to this pub now 49 years and it's still a friendly pub. Staff are brilliant specially Nula which is probably not how it's spelled well done.

For the type of pub your visiting here (A local) it's a very nice one... It's not snooty gastro establishment but they serve good food, well priced, freshly cooked. (Pub Grub). The staff were lovely, the establishment is comfortable, clean, warm and welcoming. I'm not local so chances of coming back are slim, however, if I'm in the area I wouldn't hesitate.

We played a pool match on a Monday evening and it is a fantastic warm venue with very friendly staff. The food looked that tasty that a few of us ordered the steaks and they were excellent value and quality. In particular special mention to Abi, the waitress and colin the chef and the bar lady. Would definitely recommend this pub 10/10.

Cheap and cheerful. They have some good deals and the food was quite nice. Colin looked after us and was very helpful.

Visited here on several occasions and it's a great place to visit. Always busy,with a great atmosphere.We have the seniors 3course meal,which is amazing value,but there's also a large menu which also offers great value. The food is always nicely cooked,and presented in a friendly manner,and the drinks aren't expensive to subsidise the offers on food . Well worth a visit...

Its a good family pub! Good entertainment at the weekends, all the staff seem to go out of there way to make you feel comfortable, theres a good choice of food as well, love the sunday dinners. !

I booked a table and recieved confirmation by email I arrive to be told they have no booking They were not bothered Told me to wait.. Or leave No sorry. Very blunt staff member I fetched my grand daughter over for a meal especially. Very dissatisfied.

Another visit to The Nabb Inn and again it was brilliant .Took advantage of the 3course seniors meal and it was delicious.Cooked and served to a high standard at a great price.Special mention for who appeared to be the manager.He never stopped working from when we arrived until the moment we left.Serving meals,socialising,cutlery drying etc.etc.👏👏👏 What more could you ask.. Well worth a visit 👏👏👏

My fiancee and i, came to this establishment for a nice lunch. My partner decided to have the lasagne with garlic bread and a side order of fries with Onion rings. I had the "build a burger" with 2 quarter pounder burgers with 1 hash brown and 3 chicken stripes with fries and 2 onion rings and an extra side order of onion rings. Due to the place being very busy i was informed promptly that there would be a 30 minute wait for my order. To be fair the order arrive spot on 30 minutes. Food was well presented and hot. Compliments to Charlie, Sam and Chef Joel for a very fine meal. Would highly recommend a visit.

Really disappointed with our visit tonight. Came out for a birthday meal (7pm) and although it wasn't busy and we had a varied choice of tables there was a 40 minute wait on food.  No Pinot, had to settle for something else. Had to wait for 10 minutes on the Coca Cola as the gas had gone and there wasn't enough staff to re gas, serve and cook! I was given my wine in a J20 glass as they didn't have ONE wine glass in the pub and they had run out of bacon for the (£5 on a Wednesday) Burgers and Hunters Chicken.  When we spoke to a staff member we were told that as they weren't hitting their targets they couldn't have any more staff on shift (apparently the manager was cooking in the kitchen and there was only one member of staff behind the bar the other had dislocated their knee and was on light duties)  Patrons stood near our table clearly drunk, raising their voices and f'ing and blinding at the top of their voices.  When the meals finally arrived they were luke warm at best. The mozzarella dippers were so over cooked there was no cheese inside them.  The chicken burger definitely didn't look as appetising as promised on the menu.  We have been coming here for years under the old management and have never had problems with the service or the quality of food before. The only thing we can say is the staff are always friendly, unfortunately the food wasnt. We won't be coming back.  Shame on you Green King.

Thank you so much to Nabb staff, manager and owner. My daughter was waiting in the storm for me to pick her up from school. It took me a hour and 40 mins to get from KFC in Bulwell to the bottom of bypass. It was like a river. My daughter was all alone and they took her in bar and gave her a cup of tea to warm her up and offered her food. There are some good people about I can’t tell you how much I appreciated this. Thank you xx

The bartender, Jasmine was brilliant last night with fast service and very friendly conversation about the new menu! She also mentioned the Christmas Festival and Day menu which sounds a good deal and very helpful. I would definitely recommend Nabb Inn!

Came with couple of friends last night, Jasmine was great at the bar and very good service and the atmosphere was welcoming, the pub was clean and listening to the quiz was entertaining. Definitely coming back for that event. Jasmine mentioned about the new changes on the new menus!

Food was great & prices were fair. Lovely pub; been visiting on/off for years but always a great meal. Plenty of outdoor seating, with an outdoor tv to watch football. Dogs are welcome in the bar side of the pub, which had plenty of space between tables, which is perfect for a dog that just wants to chill, rather than being super close to other dogs. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Very quiet, but it was a Monday, great pint, very clean, worth dropping in.

The food was lovely. The staff, mainly Colin, were very friendly and helpful. The service was a little staggered but we were a table of 10 so to be expected.

Been for the last two weeks ,first on our own ,then 8 of us ,we had the pensioners menu , Every meal was excellent ,fish chips and peas / all day breakfast / gammon and egg / curry / followed by chocolate brownie / steamed treacle sponge / or apple crumble starter or sweet main meal all for 5 50 Hot tasty loved it and all 8 of us said the same ,excellently served by Charlie and think it was the landlady ,nothing was to much trouble for them ,and very smiley ,loved it congratulations it was spot on well done ,

Visited my uncle , thought about fish n chip supper. Then he mentioned the near by Nabb inn on Nabbs lane . So we checked the menu on line and popped round. Colin the host made us very welcome and gave us a choice of...

Ended up at the Nabb after another pub stopped serving food at 7 and the Thai was closed. Always know you’ll get a decent meal and drink for a decent price here. Colin catered to my awkward dietary needs and Sam was great getting the food to us and checking in. Will defo go again, felt chilled, comfortable and the food hit the spot! Thanks all!

The food was absolutely gorgeous and the service was amazing and fast even though it was a busy Sunday dinner. The beef was tender and the turkey wasn't dry at all
