I pop on while my wife is having her hair done. They are lovely people and they make great coffee. You have to try the tuna mayo sandwich it really is very good. It's a independent cafe and would love your support

Always pop in here when wanting lunch or a coffee in Sutton. The place has lovely decor and is always very clean and fresh. THe food is very good and the service always good.

Good service nice surroundings with a great play area which the little ones enjoyed. Just a shame they couldn't cater for my allergies.

Warm welcome awaits, nothing is too much trouble. Lovely food and drinks are hot. A nice spot to meet up with friends. My friend and I always call in for lunch whenever we are in town. Thank you guys for a terrific service.

I have walked past this place so many times and never been in,one particular day my 3 year old spotted the toys through the window and decided she wanted lunch.its now our new favourite place.the food is very reasonably priced and so nice.the toy corner is a wonderful idea for the children, the staff are very friendly and it just has a really nice relaxed calm environment.

I often visit Barista, Always clean and tidy, table service ponce you have ordered at the counter. Fresh cakes available. Light Meals available at Lunch time - a freindly place to visit.. Outside seating area if its hot .

If you want to have a good cup of coffee somewhere in Sutton then the Barista Coffee Shop is the place for you. The staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcome. I recommend you give it a try.

Met up with some friends at Barista, we love this place, it is so relaxing and the food and service is excellent. We love the ethics of the provision too. The staff are We come here often and the Manager and staff are wonderful and really helpful they are always very professional and caring. It's a real blessing to have a place like this in Sutton.

Went here today with my sister.. we ordered food which was very good, the coffee was nice too. However the manageress here was extremely rude!! Asked where we was to order our food as was our first time visit, she looked at us like we was of some alien breed and she bluntly explained “at the counter??” Like it was her asking the questions. She then proceeded to talk across the counter to someone about something definitely not work related, we at least heard 3 swear words and also an incredibly loud burp!! Not what you’d expect at all from a cute little cafe like this. Totally unprofessional and quite disgusting when several people was eating. Me and my sister at this point had no idea the woman in question was indeed the manager so before we left we approached the young girl again asking to speak with the manager as we thought her unprofessionalism should not go unreported.. when she claimed she was the manager (also very bluntly) we left it there.. if we had voiced our complaint to her about her it would have obviously been a waste of time. Unfortunately won’t be returning simply down to the fact of an undertrained, rude and incompetent woman who’s title “manager” has clearly gone to her head!

I'd got an hour to kill and fancied a coffee and cake so I called into Barista. The coffee was OK, I ordered a medium latte...what I actually got was closer to a cappuccino and, for 2.40, quite a small cup. I wonder how small is small...That said the coffee was good coffee, albeit over priced. I had a piece of coffee and walnut cake. Not a particularly big piece, weak coffee flavoured sponge with very thick sickly butter cream and a single walnut on the top...not really my idea of what good coffee and walnut cake is like. It wasn't unpleasant just fairly average. The service was good and friendly BUT when I sat down there wasn't a clean table. No one made any attempt to wipe one. A decidedly average experience.

It's a lovely place to sit and relax over a drink / food. There are toys for the children to play with.

Decided to go out for some lunch with my sister I had a goats cheese panini which was delicious and a lovely latte This place is a little gem to visit after a bit of shopping The staff are always lovely and very friendly A nice cosy place to visit and grab a bite to eat or coffee and cake ☕️🍰

Decidimos visitar Barista con la esposa que había estado aquí varias veces, sin embargo, era mi primera visita. El personal es muy amable y el café es muy limpio y con una atmósfera relajante. Ambos tuvimos lattes y un bollo. El bollo venía con un montón de mantequilla y mermelada y era muy agradable, así como el café. El precio es normal para este y bien merece la pena. Sin duda iremos de nuevo.

Have visited Barista several times and always find it value for money. This time ordered lunch which was served promptly and tasted great. Didn't sample the confectionary but this looked mouth watering. Will be back.

Lovely little cafe! Came with my partner for lunch. The food was great, the prices were reasonable and the staff were lovely. One of the best cafes in Sutton!!

Not sure why I haven't been here more often. I'm converted from Costa! The cakes look amazing !! Staff are friendly. It's to become my regular for lunch :)

Me and the wife fancied a coffee stop as we had walked around sutton, so we thought we would try Barista, the food, the drinks was lovely, but some of the staff was quite loud also i noticed when they wasn't serving they was having inappropriate conversations also was quite loud, the volunteer lady ( can't remember her name) was very polite she brought our drinks over to us and asked if we needed anything else as we ordered food.. she was very pleasant a bit quiet but pleasant.

My hubby took me for a treat today. Frothy coffee and lovely slice of cake. Clean friendly good selection of food cakes. It's rather expensive and I found lady working there rather disturbing she was very loud almost shouting while being served she was having a very loud conversation with someone else sitting down in seating area. This carried on for most of our visit. For a occasional visit it's ok for a treat with ear plugs

This charity based coffee shop runs on a professional footing with great staff, coffee's ( and other drinks plus a good range of cakes and made to order food. Recommend the baguette version of the "sandwich options" all served with garnish. Good for any age group and has a small toy section to keep the younger end happy and a range of national and local papers to browse. Usually call when out in Sutton for a break :0)

Visited on quite a few occasions but never thought of writing a review. Bad me. A lovely relaxing cafe for a light lunch or coffee and cakes etc. Well worth value for money. Staff are always friendly and most helpful. Operated by organisation which helps people to progress to work a number if whom volunteer in the cafe. You would never know the difference between volunteers here and paid staff in any restaurant/cafe. They are professionals.

Clean warm comfy seats. Childrens play area. Nice for coffee & cake . If you want a snack or light lunch fine but not if you are a wanting a "proper" dinner

Excellent coffee I always have the extra large mocha leave a £1.50 tip lol. Wheel chair friendly plenty of space.

This has always been good value. Drinks are as any coffee shop, but staff are helpful and pleasant although I heard some errors, which were quickly sorted, I had no issue. What sets this apart from most coffee shops is that they bring the drinks and or food to your table once you have ordered. Most make you wait at the counter while they get you the drinks. For some people with an arm full of bags, or with a pushchair etc. having all delivered to you and quickly is a big plus.

Best coffee shop around. The staff are so friendly the cakes are amazing , spend lots of time in here. The prices are reasonable too. Love this place xxx

Been here a couple of times now, it has a good cafe menu with sandwiches and baguettes, paninis and jacket potatoes, cakes and some seasonal specials, a good range of drinks. The food is good and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and efficient. I'd be happy to bring the kids or have a business meeting here.

What a lovely place to sit and relax watching the world go by enjoying a lovely coffee and piece of cake. Served by friendly staff in a well looked after, clean place, with what looked like a nice area for younger ones to play so you can have a well deserved break

My grandma and I decided to stop at Batista for a coffee earlier today. Not expecting anything special, because of its location in Sutton, we were pleasantly surprised by what we recieved. As you enter there is a lovely arrangement of homemade cakes and slices. Although we did not eat, the menu and the food looked delicious! You would never expect such quality meals/drinks in such an underrated little cafe.

Feel I have to write about this little gem in my local area. We visit this quite a lot, sometimes I meet with friends but mostly I take my two children and they love it.They cook good healthy food and it is always cooked from fresh, my daughters love the milkshakes, and frappes. The staff are welcoming and very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, we regularly go for lunch and the menu is very good they have different specials on which are changed regularly, they have a childrens menu and the prices are very good alot better than the regular coffee chains that seem to be popping up in every town. Their coffee is superb the best I have tasted. All I can say is if your in the Ashfield area give this place a try you wont be dissapointed.

Had a bacon, brie and cranberry panini served with salad and crisps. Decent portion size for the price. Latte was good too. Varied menu options available and plenty of tables. Would recommend

Pleasant premises, good food and drink, GREAT prices and a lovely little child activity area. Added to which, the proprietors subscribe to a scheme which supports vulnerable adults. What's not to like!

My friend and I visit montly on our usual shopping/catch up that we do with our kids (nearly 3yrs old and under 1). The staff are always friendly and we cant fault the place for value, quality or service. We used to go to tge cafe inside the idlewells but found the staff there to always appear miserable and for the some cost why not visit Barista and get served with a smile :)

Called in for a coffee , sandwich and a piece of cake. Excellent surroundings , helpful staff best place to go in sutton. Nice and quiet food good and good choice.

My friend and I pop in here at least twice a month to while away an hour or so over coffee and snacks - haven't been disappointed yet.Their latte's are divine and my partner who came along recently is rather taken with the cinnamon crunch one. Cakes are all fresh and they serve huge portions, their sandwiches are also made fresh and they have a good selection of fillings available.An added bonus is the choice of seating, all of which is very comfortable.Staff are always friendly and polite and the inside is very clean - including the toilets - always a plus.I shall be there again very soon - keep up the good work - without a doubt one of my favourite coffee venues in the Mansfield district.

I'm so glad I stumbled on this coffee shop when wandering down Outram Street recently. The very pleasant assistant charmed my three year old grandson and served him a piece of carrot cake bigger than his head (he managed to eat a good amount, as it was so moist and fresh). I had an excellent capuccino, and some delicious toasted fruit bread. The room has a very pleasant and relaxing ambience, with a choice of sofas and coffee tables or more formal dining furniture. We'll definitely be back to try some of the other temptations on offer.

The coffee and walnut cake is lush washed down with a skinny latte, fabulous. Their homemade mushroom soup is absolutely divine too. I have never tasted anything like it. I always find the staff friendly and welcoming and I never have to wait long, which is a good thing as I only have a short lunch break so anyone passing by grab the soup for lunch or coffee and a cake to set you up for shopping.

This morning I went to the Barista coffee shop in Sutton in Ashfield, for a nice pleasent cup of morning coffee. I ordered a filter coffee, from the menu that stated a free top up was included, great. Coffee was fine, very nice. After finishing the coffe I asked for a top up, as stated in the menu, the women serving the coffee looked at me like I was some kind of idiot. I showed her the menu and explained that I just wated the free top up stated. At this point the rest of the staff turned on me and it was like verbal gang warfare, I was told the menu was wrong so tuff. Not the pleasent coffee I expected, in fact it left a bad taste in the mouth. Not really excellent customer sevice. If I had been told, when I ordered the coffee, that the menu was wrong or outdated, and filter coffee was not available, or the free top up was not available and maybe an appology been given, then fair enough, but the abuse I got, and being made to feel like a complete idiot in front of my family and the other customers, was bang out of order. We will certainly not be going there again.P.S I work for one of the largest organisations in this country and we do use places like this for meetings and functions. Never again at the Barista.P.P.S Thought I'd better mention that the young lad working in the shop was very polite, if only the rest of the staff would follow his example.

Our most recent visit was for lunch yesterday. Good choice of food..I had the jacket potato with goats cheese and roasted veg which was delicious. Staff are friendly, helpful, welcoming and obviously work well as a team. A really good place to go for coffee or a snack or lunch. Great little childrens area too.

I live locally and tended not to eat in town as there was nowhere that I thought was nice enough. Tended to go home for lunch or have a ride out to a nice tea room if we fancied a treat. Friends suggested meeting here for coffee and a cake and I was really surprised to find such a good quality place in Sutton. Fresh food and great cakes were lovely. Everything made to order and coffee really good. I will be a regular from now on.

This is a good place to eat, relax and read the free newspapers at any time of the day. The food is good and well prepared. Well worth a visit.

Went in a while ago with a friend to fill some spare time, I'm not normally a coffee person, but I had a coffee to warm myself up as it was cold out. They had made a fancy pattern on top of the coffee, which was a nice touch, and the coffee itself was, from my perspective who doesn't know the different qualities of coffee, was very nice.It was a tad pricy, something like £3.20 if I remember rightly, but It was nice at the end of the day.

Lovely staff and atmosphere mean I visit Barista at least a couple of times a week. It's perfect for children, couples and I've even been known to turn up with my laptop to get some work done with a tasty hot chocolate. I'd recommend it to anyone. Just don't all turn up at once.

I visit most weeks sometimes twice I always get a pleasant welcome :-) Coffee great food excellent O and lets not forget the good taste in music :-) Thank you one and all for providing this lovely place to visit in out small town :-)

Visited Barista for a business meeting. Best coffee I've tasted in a long time. Great ambience and really friendly staff. Decided to stay on after the meeting for lunch which was excellent value beautifully presented and tasted great.
