The Table in Suffolk Coastal

My parents have been here multiple times and recommended it as a great place for my 30th birthday meal! The food is incredible! Firstly, the menu is so varied and I wanted SO many things on there, it was hard to choose. I settled for the starter of Beef Croquettes with Wasabi Mayo and my main was beef rendang with rice. Both were delicious and full of flavour. I also tried the Bang Bang Cauliflower which was SO tasty! The highlight of the meal was the apple crumble though .. beautifully sweet and sugary. It is expensive here but so worth it for the quality! Thank you for making my birthday so special!

We booked The Table to celebrate a colleagues milestone anniversary and am very glad she picked this restaurant. The food, service and overall ambience was superb. I had the Pork belly bites to start, which were some of the best i have ever had. My main course was the Beef Rendang with rice and some fries on the side, again this was superb and was a decent portion size too. To finish, i had the apple crumble and ice cream, spot on again! Highly recommended!

Such wonderful quality food! I had the delicious monkfish tails and my other half had the fabulous scallops. A really lovely place to dine... we sat outside in the little open-fronted hut surrounded by sparkly lights, completely delightful. The staff were absolutely lovely, ensuring that we were well looked after. Lovely evening!

This place was incredible! We found it by accident when visiting Woodbridge last night. We had spent the day exploring Suffolk when we found ourselves in Woodbridge in the evening. We chose here as had our dog and they had a fantastic outdoor seating area which was perfect for the warm September evening. My other half is vegan and found a great menu choice. I opted for chicken satay and a yellow beef noodle main. Both dishes were delicious and so fresh and flavoursome. The place was packed. Atmosphere was excellent and service was efficient and friendly. Will most definitely return when back in Woodbridge and recommend.

This is a lovely place for dinner. We did so twice this month. Outside area when it’s warm was open and relaxing whilst inside cosy and conversational. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food really fresh and tasty with good choice and reasonably priced. Now our favourite local restaurant.

What a delightful and friendly brasserie we encountered on our visit to Woodbridge. Lovely menu selection to cater for all palates whether it be a small snack or full meal dining. Lovely seating areas either indoor or out. Our various selections for lunch could not be faulted and were thoroughly enjoyed by all and had to resist the tempting sweets.

We arrived early evening without a booking but were promptly given an table in the outside area which was perfect. Good service and did not have to wait too long for food. I had a lovely Thai prawn and mussel curry which was excellent - perfect portion size. My partner enjoyed the BBQ Chicken Burger. Great value for money.

Visited The Table with friends and great to see standards of food has been maintained. We use The Table frequently, with family and friends and are never disappointed. The food is delicious and there is always a good selection to choose from. Will definitely return and highly recommended.

Delicious food & good service …. But please clean up your toilets during the evening. The waste bin was full & broken, so paper towel was all over the floor. It was pretty grim, & just needed a regular check & tidy up during the evening.

Came across this gem by chance. What a fabulous place, great attentive staff, and the food was amazing! My wife had duck leg chow mean, and I had a Thai chicken dish, yummy!

We had a lovely evening in this restaurant. None of us were terribly hungry and they were really sweet about letting us have drinks and just small plates of food. Everything we did have was delicious. It’s great to sit in, we sat inside but they’ve also got a large, cosy outside area which was full. Great staff that couldn’t have been nicer. Hope we have the opportunity to go again.

Used to come here every week but haven't visited for a few months. Strangely disappointing. Very very heavily salted everything and overwhelming hot sauces. I like spicey food but it obliterated any other taste. Was the same for each of the 4 of us with different dishes. Used to be my favourite restaurant ' not sure what's happened.

Excellent staff, in particular our two waitresses were welcoming, and dealt with our large group of 15 adults with charm and efficiency. The food, as always, was excellent, freshly prepared from seasonal ingredients. Everyone enjoyed the evening. We have eaten there previously on many occasions and always had a good experience.

Another great lunch here yesterday with a friend who lives very close by this charming and excellent restaurant. She had recommended the Chicken Skewers [13.00 each] which we both chose and it was nothing short of exceptional. Beautifully cooked with a generous serving of rice and a delicious mixed salad with a most inspirational addition of some cubed melon - wonderful. My friend chose the Lemon Posset [5.50] which was served with some delicious strawberries and I had a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and a scoop of an amazingly tasty Black Treacle ice cream [4.00]. Total bill was £35.50 + tip. The two young waitresses were both charming & helpful, and we were not rushed at all, which was very nice as I don't see my friend very often. Clearly the chef runs an excellent kitchen. Truly one of the best lunches I'd enjoyed anywhere. Woodbridge are indeed very lucky to have such an excellent restaurant and I urge you to give it a try if you've not been. Booking is advisable as it was pretty busy.

Our favourite restaurant in Woodbridge, it just constantly delivers at a reasonable price. A constantly varied menu from beautiful slow roast belly pork to Malaysian curry you just can't fault it. For the money it is harder to find a better restaurant.

As is the case with the pandemic we booked well in advance of our visit. We had been on a watercolour painting for beginners course at Art Safari (brilliant) so with our heads spinning we ventured to The Table - we were met with a very efficient front of house team who quickly got us where we needed to be and got us much needed drinks. The menu had a great range offering a good choice without an overwhelming selection. My wife had the pork and I had the cod both dishes were delicious. (I had the cockles for a refreshingly different starter) The service was exceptional and the meal, atmosphere and eating experience were all very good, not to mention the value!

It was great to return to the The Table after six long months recently. We had a fantastic lunch in the beautiful courtyard, and everything was very well organised to make guests as safe as possible, from paper menus to outdoor cooking. The food was up there with the best I’ve had at the restaurant, especially the chicken wings, which were pure sticky deliciousness. The burger was succulent and dripping with cheese. I was stuffed, but in a good way. Still the best in Woodbridge and long may that continue.

Went to The Table Sunday evening for their “Street Food”, Sun Downer with a DJ. They had obviously put a lot of effort into creating a vibe, however I’m afraid they missed the mark on the street food. Having people cooking outside a French themed small menu does not mean it’s street food. Moving to the food itself I’m afraid that missed the mark as well on price and quality £12 for two ladles of stew which lacked flavour. Plus I’m afraid the “rule of six” went out the window amongst the patrons once the evening (alcohol) progressed.To be fair we were given our meal for free when I complained that it was not what I had expected. I would go to The Table again and give them another chance following this customer level of customer service.

Enjoyed our lunch in the courtyard, friendly and helpful staff. I chose a chicken curry with rice - it was really tasty, my wife (who is coeliac) had the sea bass which she really enjoyed. The desserts were delicious- I had the apple with cinnamon crumble tart and ice cream, my wife had the spiced poached pear with meringue and cream.

The outside area is so pretty and with the warm weather a perfect dining spot. Staff were lovely, but the food was very basic. Perfect for drinks rather than dining out.

I am never disappointed eating here. Wonderful staff, not over complicated menu and the prettiest gardens to sit in. We celebrated son’s GCSE triumph outside with outdoor seared tuna nicoise, a beautifully soft quiche and a classic burger. Good table spacing and a lovely warm atmosphere. Very Mediterranean.

First trip here and would thoroughly recommend. Great weather so sat in the courtyard which is a lovely setting. Felt like we were on holiday! Three courses each and all dishes were fantastic. Can’t wait to return!

One of the delights of the re-emergence of eating out during this period is looking forward to returning to favourite places.You could always rely on good quality, good value food at The Table and nothing has changed in that regard. They have implemented the social distancing measures well given the relative size of the venue. We ate al-fresco and the weather has certainly been kind recently.Vernon was on hand to ensure that the front of house was running smoothly and his signature runs through the menu with the Malaysian Curry being a highlight in our party. I had the minute steak and indulged myself with the crispy fries. All the food was excellent and served nice and hot. Vernon also runs the Anchor pub just down the road in case you can't get in here.The Table gets a positively low score on my current Covid-index which rates the impact of the hygiene measures on the quality of the experience (1=not much, 5=ruins it). I score The Table 1.

After the lockdown period it was great to be back and enjoy an Al-fresco dinner just to remind ourselves of what we had missed. The menu although shortened was varied and with some specials in addition would accommodate most tastes. After a shared starter we enjoyed ample main courses and concluded with the pudding menu, my only disappointment being the lack of a cheese option. Despite claiming to be full from the main course my partner managed to consume the chocolate brownie which she confirmed was delicious. With beers and wines to accompany it was a lovely experience on a warm summers evening with friendly staff and great food.

Outside was buzzy with live music and lots of socially distanced tables... inside was stripped down with the decor suffering from an enforced lock-down hangover - but that's the way things are at the moment.Staff were great and the food was interesting and of good quality. A safe, fun, good value evening out in Woodbridge. What more could we ask? :) Good to see The Table back. Let's hope that we all go enough to keep them open.

Our favourite restaurant in Woodbridge. It was good to return there for lunch today after months of lockdown and enjoy a delicious meal in their lovely garden. The service was friendly and attentive, the food was great, as always. The atmosphere was relaxed and the central location in Woodbridge is perfect.

We’ve recently neglected The Table in favour of The Duck in Campsey Ash, which is just as good (if not better). However, it was nice to return for a birthday meal last weekend, despite service not being up to its usual standard. A few members of staff appear to have left, and our waitress had some trouble with our order. Admittedly there were two very similar octopus dishes - one on the main menu and another on the specials - but a good waitress should know her menu. While I received the correct starter, my dad had to wait a little longer for his after being given the same as me in error. Ironically, I wish I’d ordered the octopus special, as the octopus, chorizo and cod cake was a little underwhelming. Thankfully the Malaysian chicken curry and Jamaica ginger cake were excellent, but the restaurant’s selection of mains is starting to feel a little stale now, to the extent I felt forced into ordering the curry. Five a la carte mains and two specials is quite limiting, especially when the a la carte options are usually the same. It’ll be nice to have a little more choice next time.

Great atmosphere, lovely food and friendly staff, we really enjoyed our recent evening meal at The Table and will certainly return next time we are in the area. The food is delicious and the portions are just right. The menu is not long and so choices are a little limited but that is perfectly ok as it indicates that the food is freshly prepared. The place was very busy on a cold winter night in February so make sure you call ahead if you want a table.

We had been here before with friends and called in advance to ask about vegan options. We weren't disappointed and had a lovely meal. Second time round we weren't so lucky. I booked again as a suprise for our wedding anniversary and, based on my previous experienced, was confident going there for our special evening. I couldn't have been more wrong. I rang in advance to make them aware of our dietary requirements as I had before, and were assured therer would be a variety of choices. On the day it was completely the opposite and the only choice was curry. After we spoke to the waitress and manager about this and the fact thar we had called in advance to check, they spoke to the chef and we were told that curry was all they could do! We were desperately disappointed.. afterall, if we'd wanted a curry, we would have gone to the Indian restaurant over the road and had a whole menu of food to choose from. We then left and went over the road to East Coast Diner where we had fabulous cocktails and delicious vegan food.

It was our first visit to the Table. We were seated in a lovely room, not too close to other people. The service was good, the food lovely and a nice atmosphere . The food was lovely and we all enjoyed our meals and tried each others. We will go again soon. The only thing i would say is the white wine could have been colder.

Went for lunch recently, very welcoming, nice menu with a good range of specials. The slow roast pork belly was particularly good. Just please don’t put apple sauce on the crackling as it softens it. Managed to save it as the crackling was unusually well done.’loved it and would go again. Service good and attentive.

I have eaten at The Table twice in the last week - on 17th December for dinner and on 18th for lunch with work colleagues. Both occasions were rather good!!Staff are always attentive and friendly - helping and allowing time for choosing, etc. Never feel rushed at The Table - big positive!!!The food at dinner was very good, served hot and on hot plates!! Another big positive!!The alternatives, to accommodate allergies, intolerances and preferences were offered positively on both occasions, and time was taken going back and forward to the kitchen to ensure that the dish would be suitable. Very helpful!!The lunch with colleagues was the best we've had at Christmas-time, and we have tried many of the local restaurants over the years. Our waiter was particularly helpful without being intrusive, and made our lunch a success! Thank you to him, the man with the hair tied back. So...lots of success with food and service on both occasions - not a lot to moan about. It's so simple when the customer, the food and the service are understood and attended to by people who know what they are doing, and manage to make eating out a pleasure rather than a chore!!

A lovely ambiance is the first thing you notice in this lovely bistro style restaurant. The dining areas are simply and comfortably furnished and the service is truly excellent. Staff always there when you needed them but otherwise completely unobtrusive.The food on the evening I visited was a cross between Asian street food and gastropub classics.Four of us were eating, we all had different starters and main courses. All of us were absolutely delighted with everything we ate (star of the show for me was my korean aubergine kebabs with a dipping sauce - an absolute taste explosion!)This is a restaurant that clearly cares about the quality of it's food and the dining experience of it's clientele.In a nutshell - absolutely lovely and I cannot wait to return when I am next in Woodbridge.

In one of my first reviews I gave the the Table a very poor review and said that I would not go there again. Since then I have been persuaded to try it again and it is now consistently excellent. We were there for a midweek birthday dinner. It was moderately busy but the service and food was very good indeed.

I was meeting a friend here, I arrived a little early, was shown to the table my friend had booked. Oh my goodness, so close together, forget a private conversation here.

We visited for lunch, and found the place quite busy; the reviews suggest it is very popular. We found it in every way satisfactory but in no way outstanding. Tables were rather close to one another, laid in a very 'pub like' way. Service was efficient and courteous. Food fine but in no way memorable. No complaints, but not five-star level. Overall my view is that there are places that we prefer in Woodbridge.

We had booked ahead for a Family lunch. Very much a good choice as everything was spot on. Very good menu catering for all tastes. The food was nicely cooked and presented. Lovely place to eat - we ate outside as it was an unexpectedly sunny day.

We popped into The Table for dinner whilst visiting Woodbridge last week. It looked lovely and cosy from the outside and it did not disappoint. The cosy and kooky interior set the scene nicely and they were able to offer us a table for 5 despite the fact we had not booked ahead. The menu is eclectic, with something for everyone, and everything we tried was delicious. You could tell that a lot of care had gone into the food, something which is becoming harder to find in a world of chain pubs! The smoked haddock gets a special mention! Would definitely recommend and only wish we lived closer so we could pop by more often!

The advertised opening hours on the website state 12-3 for lunch on Sundays (I have just double-checked). We arrived at 1:45, and were told that they weren't serving. Apparently they had a large event arriving later. We went to a neighbouring restaurant and were served a lovely Sunday Lunch. We won't be back.

Thoughly enjoyed atmosphere and food. Busy and a little noisy but good fun and food was excellent and decent value.

We turned up at this very busy restaurant without a booking. Inside was full but there is a lovely outside space we were offered a table in. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Great service!

Booked ahead although the place was not too busy on a Sunday lunchtime. Good space between the tables and the service was efficient. The young staff on the floor were really good. They worked well together and they did not stand in groups discussing the night before. The food was simple but well cooked. They allowed the ingredients to speak for themselves rather than covering the food with foam/jus etc. I had the crab as a main course and it was delicious. It tasted really fresh and was very tasty. I also tried - for the 1st time - the low alcohol Ghost Ship ale. Which is of course very local to the restaurant.
