The Swiss Bell Public House in Braintree

What a lovely pub to be in, very welcoming great hospitality, great prices, definitely will be coming again.(5;

Was shocked to see how down hill this pub has become the bar manager speaks to people very rudely which is disgusting to witness made me feel really uncomfortable. I would definitely not be going there again and I would strongly recommend people to avoid it.

Best landlord you could wish for the man is amazing loves his lad more than ever will always be in our hearts love scott forever and most of all he would take time out for everyone

It's hard these days to find a pub just being pub.. at The Swiss Bell it's a decent pint, glass of vino and a relaxed atmosphere. Anytime I've been its always been friendly and most welcoming. Also was impressed to see how a local pub is supporting local initiatives, there's a local initiative protecting the green-way and river blackwater which is opposite the pub and makes for a scenic route to or from the Swiss Bell with family or friends, also great walk if you have dogs and the pub welcomes pooches in their large garden if looked after and kept on leads. On a Tuesday evening there is fantastic fresh fish and chips available from early evening, I travel cross country with my job and had many great fish & chips, however would say these are phenomenal.. recommend with a crisp, clean real ale on at the Swiss!!
