Witham Cafe in Braintree

I turned up in this shady little corner of hell desperate for some cheap food, after paying I realised the mess, the guy working must have killed a pigeon and stuck it on a pizza, I can only guess that's what he did because that's what the pizza tasted like. Would not recommend ruining your appetite here.

Pizza are not nice at all amd always messing your order up go to domino's

I call to order he doesn’t want to take my order and when i asked about his name he hang up the phone I will never get any food from there again

I am now a regular customer, high satisfaction in price as well as taste. And I woukd say a lot better than the dominos pizza Witham.

Called in for lunch while out in witham today, very friendly staff. Venue was clean and all the food tasted fresh and lovely nothing not to like well worth a visit.

NO MOBILITY SCOOTERS ALLOWED! Went to have lunch here with my disabled Aunt. But a sign in the window stated NO MOBILITY SCOOTERS ALLOWED. As far as I'm aware it is a legal requirement to give everyone equal access. Not discriminate against the disabled. We shall be looking into the legality of this decision. Although if the owner can do this to start with we would not take out custom there anyway now. How DISGUSTING in this day and age.

Horrific! Staff are rude, delivery is late >2hrs

I have ordered quite a few times recently and every time it has came perfectly warm and tasty i have nothing bad to say the delivery driver and food were all spot on i cant wait to order again

Visited and ordered 2 pizzas a Americana hot and a mexican passion. Got home to find the Mexican hot had no chicken and on contacting my friend found out the Americana hot had no pepperoni! Photo of the 'Mexican passion' attached spot the chicken! Con artists! avoid!

Used to be fantastic but what seems like a change of management has sent this place downhill dramatically. Less toppings, cheaper taste, items missing. Used to be a regular with only good things to say about the place 😞

Great place, very clean, good food.....but shocked by the sudden price increase, £23 Breakfast for 2, no extras, just a tea and a coffee....an increase of £6 since we were there a few weeks ago....won't be going back due to price increase.Portion not increased but prices have...ridiculous....such a sharp rise

Highly recommend pizza gogo in witham!! Such friendly staff, always go above and beyond to help their customers, pizza is delicious! Prefer to domino’s! All of us at CMRent love it!

First time. Delicious and very filling pizza. We ordered the same quantity we always get from our other top pizza chain dominos and I must admit it was much tastier and so much bigger (pizza and sides). Wings were perfect, potatoe twizlers were well spiced and the pizza was so good! Delivery driver was very polite and we had our food within 30mins. Well done guys!

Waited over a hour. When we called they delivered it to the wrong address. When we got the food 40 minutes later it was still wrong. But they gave us a bottle off coke woop woop thanks lads. And I hope who had the 1st lot enjoyed it more then we did lol 😆

6.99 for a 15 inch pizza what could be better

Disappointing, pizza was dry, toppings were not fresh, even the green chillies were not hot, had two slices, the rest went in the bin 😕

Rung to order a simple pizza. Says doesn't deliver. Then says doesn't take cash and to go online. Go online to order but says they're not taking online orders (which I assume the staff member must know). Then when I get cash they say they make up more nonsense about closing early (not what it says online). Then they left the phone ringing and wouldn't answer. Then the rude employee just says they don't want to do it. The impression I got was that I got a lazy employee on the phone who couldn't be arsed to take a simple order and kept trying to put up hurdles. No idea about the pizza, didn't get that far because of the lazy staff member who refused to give their name so they could be named to management.

Used this place so much last night had our first bad experience, hair inside one of our pizzas another one had something hard in it couldn't eat it. Shame won't be ordering from here again.

Great pizza great prices better than Pizza Hut.

Used to be a decent place to order pizza but now their pizzas are really greasy and they keep putting a garlic sauce all over our pizza even though we don't ask for it and don't like it and are now getting fed up having to complain every time. We won't be ordering from them again.

As an Italian I’m even ashamed if this is called food, spaghetti bolognese looks like a block of cement , onion rings and chicken that looks like meteorites, need to do better I’m sorry , so disappointed

Ordered delivery for the first time from this place and I was pleasantly surprised, food arrived early, everything was delicious and still hot. Definitely worth the money even if I couldn't finish all of it. Would definitely recommend and will be ordering again soon :)

Had a pizza delivered to my truck as was parked up.overnight in the area. Nice people. And absolutely quality pizza. One of the best I've had on my travels throughout the UK over the years certainly!

Archaic payment system In the time of covid this branch of pizza gogo refuse to take payments of under £20 by card. When questioned on it the guy on the phones only response is "were a franchise so we can do what we want". No problems I'll get my pizza else where.

Excellent quality of food and such a fantastic variety of options to choose from. The deals and prices are more than reasonable. As an additional note, the delivery person tonight was so lovely and she was very grateful for the delivery directions. Have ordered from here before a couple of times and have never been disappointed. Well done to everyone at the Witham branch.

Great pizza and you can get a 15in pizza for £7 if you collect.

Ordered some late night pizza, "thin & crispy" it was more like an italian base not thin and crispy,the cheese was just a massive solid thing and it was very doughy. I ordered over the phone and the guy was nice, however I gave him some instructions for the driver as it was 00:00am I didn't want to wake my family up and I asked him to call me when outside. I get a phone call from the driver shouting at me for not answering the door and he continued the argument. Not pleased, food quality and delivery wasn't the best probably will stay away from here.

Dirt ...did not intend to look after us after we spent 27 pounds of our money we had really burnt mozzeralla sticks and no stuff Crust..told us they can't do anything about it ..my daughter was crying as we been in isolation and had no treat for weeks ..I'll never order from them again..very poor costumer service!

What a great find, food very good and a large choice to suit all tastes. The food is always hot and staff very friendly, nothing is to much trouble. If you haven't been it is definitely worth a visit, take it it from a fussy old lady like me ☺☺☺

Excellent value on special offer and very tasty.

Will not be going here again. Wings are burnt, Pizza was uncut and the reason we ordered pizza was due to moving into a new home and not having any kitchen utensils. To make matter worse upon phoning I was asked "what do you want me to do, we have been busy today... sorry". Not happy at all!

Very quick service (arrived 25 minutes earlier than expected) and good pizza. Not as greasy as GoGo pizzas used to be. The garlic dip as also very good.

My son's pizza was 1 hr and 15 minutes late When I phoned which took 10 minutes for someone to answer they firstly said it was 5-6 minutes away but when I asked about the lateness he said it hadn't left the shop. He then started shouting at me about the order. My husband then spoke to him and he said it would be about 15 minutes and continued shouting. Ordered arrived missing dips and garlic bread burnt . Will not use again because of timing ,rudeness and quality of food .

The Witham Cafe may not catch everybody's eyes, but it was a pleasant place to visit. The cafe was bright and open. The seating was spacious. The staff were freindly.We had a jacket potato and an American breakfast. The serving was generous. The food was freshly prepared, to high standard. Ingredients were good. Food and tea costed £6-7 per head, which was good value for money.We bumped into the Witham Cafe by chance. It was a pleasant surpirse.It is a five star cafe of its class.

If your looking for a 'Proper Breakfast' then this is the place to go. We recently discovered this cafe after walking past it dozens of times.The set breakfasts are very well priced and offer a lot of choice - also no trouble if you want to swap items etcStaff are friendly and genuinely want you to leave feeling satisfied.

I come in here all the time and have never had a problem. The tea is piping hot, just as I like it and the staff know what their regulars want.Tina is a very hard worker and nothing is too much trouble for her, not like one of the ladies always popping out.Food is very generous and at as no e price too.Cafe is always clean and tidy.

Went to Witham Cafe for lunch and have been there lot's of times before. Food is very good value and great portion sizes. Comfortable tables and chairs placements and friendly, hardworking staff. Normally sit by the windows if possible. This time it was busy we had to sit at the back of the cafe by the toilets and store room. Unfortunately, whilst waiting for our meals I noticed that the manager/owner visited the lavatory but was in and out so very quickly that he couldn't have had time to wash his hands - this happened twice whilst we were there. Not happy about this and although I didn't mention it to the others with me, I won't be going there again. It's a shame as it's a great value and friendly place.

The English breakfast we had was excellent and in good portions. The staff are providing a very good service and are polite. Place don’t accept card payment but only cash. I think place needs a bit a touch of colour and redecorate and I’m sure will attract more customers

Un Salto a almorzar hoy, ok, el edificio carece de fondos, pero qué servicio y comida. Nos dieron una enorme porción de comida incluso antes de mi té se convirtió en frío que isvery raro. La comida era estupenda y una fantástica relación calidad-precio. El menú también era genial, un montón que aquí se ofrecen. Sin duda estar volviendo. Ah, y el lugar estaba limpio, limpiaban las mesas de inmediato fueron vacantes.

Llamé en mi camino al trabajo, ya que no había tenido el desayuno en casa!! (Toc toc) y yo tenía huevos revueltos sobre una tostada con frijoles y granero estaba delicioso. Es limpio, espacioso y tiene una muy buena selección de menú. Y también especiales diarios abren a las 7 de la mañana.

Si este es el Royal Café - Paramos aquí en nuestro camino de regreso desde el ferry a Harwich - buscando un desayuno razonable y lugar para esconderse de la hora punta 12. Dos adultos y cuatro adolescentes. Estábamos impresionados con los precios y las cantidades también! Encantador y tradicional fritos desayunos. Con un café decente.

Good food,friendly staff ,went there on a Sunday so it wasn't packed but food was on the table before I was able to take a good gulp of my very nice latte ,think this will be my new cafe of choice in the Witham area ..........

This is a nice cafe very reasonably priced. My favourite thing to eat is a prawn baguette with salad mmmmm

Me pasó con mi madre para el desayuno. Tuve el gran desayuno, y era grande también. No tendrás dificultad para llegar a través de ella pero era tan bueno que no quería desperdiciar. madre tiene un pequeño desayuno y no tenemos ninguna queja, aunque ella no tienen generalmente cooked breakfast. Me pareció que el personal era muy amable. En general, es un lugar encantador para comer y relajarse. Un montón de gente, que era agradable ver. Una comunidad Prendas de cerca.

Was surprised by the warm welcome. What a lovely place? The food was basic but so much on your plate. The staff are very friendly and helpfully. Would go there again for a quick meal

this is ok(ish )if need a cuppa.smokeing area outside always full and staff quick and helpful(providing you dont mind service by rather unkempt staff.the male who serves the coffee tends to talk to my breasts i grab a coffee to go there if am in that part of town but am afraid this is the cafe where the rather loud and uncouth go(no am not a snob grew up going to transport cafes!)

The food was all disgusting, the service wasn't too bad except the manager who is very pervy and alway starring at you! I used to work in here when it was Cafe De La Place and they treated every staff member horrible so i left. If you want somewhere just for a catch up and tea go here! For good food go to Ye Olde Cafe down the high street!

Blegh, i know fryups are unhealthy but do they need to DEEP fry everything? Its cheap in here for a reason, probably get all there stuff from Farmfoods.Go Mama Dells instead

As our usual breakfast spot has gone downhill we decided to try else where. Quite a lot of choice on the menu they also had plenty of set breakfasts and all the trimmings (black pud, hash browns, mushrooms etc). I ordered the biggest one and added an extra two eggs (got to have one each for the hash browns), unfortunately they forgot one of them and told me they would bring it out, which they never did. Also several times I had to get up and ask for more tea and coffee as they wherent very attentive. I think they had pretty much deep fried everything on my plate, the poor sausage had been deep fried to within an inch of its life, whilst it was all edible it wasnt great. My other half had chicken burger and chips which she enjoyed especially as the chicken was crispy and the bun had been toasted, there was also plenty of chips.All in all its was ok mainly let down by the poor service, we'll be trying elsewhere next time.
