The Swan Inn in Hounslow

Wonderful couple of hours having tea. Dropped my brother in law home from Hull in Yorkshire and had tea here while he was at the hospital nearby. Lovely pub, great service and friendly people. The beer was nice (even though we couldn't enjoy enough of it sadly). Food was lovely. It set us up for our drive back home :) thanks again!!! Chris and Rosie!!!

Nice place with good drinks and amazing staff.

Perhaps I ordered the wrong item but the chicken sort of Chinese style with dumpli gs, was not very flavoursome and quite honestly I have done better at home.

Had a roast here with family, good portions, lovely food, bit crowded seating which is not anyone’s fault but manoeuvring around is a little tight, bathroom was not in the best condition. Lovely staff and the fellas there seem so lovely and friendly and helpful:)

Nice selection of drinks. Excellent Thai food

They need more staff. The shape of the bar means its impossible for a single member to see everyone who's waiting and you get overlooked. As it provides b&b and the bar staff have to deal with the phone bookings that also delays service. I like the beer and ambience but I've often left and got immediate service in the Castle across the road.

Fabulous place! Rooms great. Very clean. Mattresses and beds not great tbh - that would be my only improvement. The staff are so helpful and amazing. Lovely Thai food in the restaurant. Highly recommend and excellent VFM.

Great Thai cuisine and service !

Wow. Absolutely blown away by the quality of service and the experience we had at The Swan Inn. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to stay an extra night around London before heading home. The rooms were clean, quaint, and cozy. The staff was some of the friendliest and most accommodating people I’ve met while here. Food was fantastic and I was lucky enough to experience their full carvery on Sunday. The location is close enough to Heathrow to make it an easy trip for our flight out, but aside from the few lovely pubs and parks there isn’t a ton to do in the immediate area. But it’s an easy bus or cab across the Thames to explore. Looking forward to our next visit to The Swan Inn!

5 stars for all, albeit we didn't have a room. However, based on our experience of the food and service, it was amazing.

No Kronenbourg any more, and nobody has a clue why.

Beautiful building inside and out. Amazing friendly staff.Very clean room and bathroom. Very generous and delicious breakfast .My reason for a low score on location, the planes above from 5am. I thought I woke up on a runway it was so loud. Real shame because everything else is perfect for a lovely weekend away.

Went for a quiet beer and a smoke in their pleasant rear garden and have chat with a couple of regulars

The food and service are excellent

My husband and I decided to have a night out in Richmond and we stayed at the Swan Inn because of the very reasonable nightly rate. The pub is located on a quiet street within walking distance to the river and along the river there are walking paths with beautiful scenery. It's also only a 10 minute walk to Richmond city centre where there are even more dining and shopping options. The pub appears to be quite popular, as it was reasonably busy even on a Monday night but the service was still great. Toby, the Manager, was working behind the bar. The Swan Inn also has a Thai Restaurant with inside and outside dining which we decided to try; the portions were perfect and the food was delicious (I ordered the Chicken Stir Fry with Oyster Sauce, my husband ordered a Burger as he's not a huge Thai food person, and we shared an appetizer with chicken wings, pork meatballs, and Thai sausages - forgot to take a picture of the entrees but I have attached a picture of the appetizer). They include a free continental and hot breakfast as part of the stay as well, so we both had the Full English Breakfast. The room was well-lit and appeared recently renovated, and it was en-suite which was really nice. Would definitely recommend The Swan Inn to anyone looking to spend the day in the area. Great welcoming and super nice service! Highly recommended!

The Swan in Isleworth is a simple, fun pub with rooms close to the river. A selection of Fuller's beers on tap and a fabulous looking Thai menu, cheap and very cheerful looking. Unfortunately, I did not take advantage of eating, so many pubs, so little time. A very homely feeling to this place with a great loyal bunch of local customers to help things along. Oh, and the odd plane passing overhead, no idea where they are going, so low!

Good place to stay with a nice breakfast and Thai food

Went to friends birthday bash, fab lighting, decor, ambience, dj, we just danced the night away....well it was a Saturday eve....

Really cozy pub, with rooms on the 1st and 2nd floor, formidable English breakfast, with everything you could want. Rooms nice and clean, good service, nice staff.

Friendly local pub in the heart of old Isleworth. Considering the number of pubs in this area, the Swan always seems remarkably busy.

Unfortunately a disappointment, the Thai food is good and that was the positive. We had the "suite" 😂 Guys a disaster! The heating didn't work, there was a small radiator in the room. With a bit of luck, shower slightly warm but without pressure. On the second day there was no more soap. Cleanliness isn't taken too seriously either. The walls are thin and the music in the pub is always loud (you can always join in the party in bed). The best for last, breakfast only if you're lucky! The housekeeper tomorrow doesn't speak English, complaints are unnecessary. On January 1st. Of course she wanted to be free and didn't open the door 🤟🏻 it was awesome, we and the others were very "happy". Love spending “5”€ more...

Fully recommended as a place to visit

We absolutely loved our experience here! We stayed in the inn upstairs for a couple nights + found our room to be cozy, clean, and exactly what we needed. Breakfast was so helpful in the mornings + had grab-and-go options ready at 7am for early morning airport commutes. The food downstairs is good! The menu is Thai; our favorite dishes were the Panang + Massaman curries. We adored the pub in the evenings. The community gathers here like a watering hole to watch football, chit chat with friends, and grab a drink or two. The bartenders and staff were incredibly friendly. Across from a nice little park, and in a very walkable area with easily accessible public transport (bus + train). I’d advise taking a walk along the River Thames in the mornings. Very close + one of my favorite parts of our quiet trip.

It's a wonderful pub with nice music and great food. We really like to go there and I recommend it a lot.

DONT BOTHER, not price as quoted online. Go to Town Wharf instead, open fire, good food and better value than the swan inn.

We were in the area and checked Google for Thai food and found this pub. We had Thai dinner here and it was absolutely brilliant. Authentic Thai food with reasonable price. Highly recommend and would come again.

This was my first visit to The Swan, as I was bringing an elderly friend for Sunday lunch, and we both fancied a roast dinner. Service was friendly and the food was good. It was really helpful for my friend to be allowed to have a kids portion (other places take note), as she’s not a big eater, but even that size was slightly too big for her (not a negative comment I hasten to add). We really enjoyed our lunch and will be back in the future. I’m keen to try the Thai food as I hear great things. I cannot fault the experience today, but then I wasn’t there to try.

Second time trying to order on Just Eat… both times have cancelled and been unsuccessful. If you cannot deliver please remove yourself from Just Eat.

Beautiful place where you can enjoy good quality food, and lots of drinks. The pub has different spaces, where you can dance and enjoy in a great atmosphere with great people. ❤️

Cozy, friendly, clean, well kept. Reggae music by Bob Marley playing softly in the dining room at breakfast. Great Thai food in the evening. Carvery on Sunday.

Great food and good tap selection. Including ESB Parking is good and remember to enter your licence plate on the tablet at bar to stop you getting a ticket.

Haven't stayed so can't comment on rooms, but have had excellent Thai food and a few delicious pints of London Pride at the Swan Inn, a a great friendly pub.

Raw chicken served to me and a horrific experience with a manager called toby

Cute inn in a small-scale setting - as if you're in a village in the countryside, except perhaps for the Heathrow-bound planes passing overhead. Staff is friendly, breakfast is nice, rooms are simple but clean. Walls are a bit thin, but the price is quite affordable. Public rail transport is 10 mins by bus in either direction (Hounslow or Richmond) or inconvenient (Isleworth station, on a minor branch), or a wonderful 25-minute walk along and over the Thames (quite narrow at this point) and across fields to Richmond station, which has excellent connections.

Lovely food great staff, had a good afternoon.

Rooms were so noisy, paper thin walls and music didn’t stop until 3am and staff cleaning very noisy. Food however was very good.

Gone down hill a lot. Most expensive carvery I've been too and also the worst. The majority of the food had no taste. It was so bland. And also it's still not self service. Whole point of a carvery is helping yourself. It was very slow, only one woman serving the meat so the line was long and took a long time to move. They forgot the beans on my child's food. It was really disappointing.

We stayed at the Swan Inn 2 nights. Great location to discover Isleworth, Syon Park or Kew Gardens. The day staff is super nice and accommodating. The pub serves good Thai food.

Me and my friend went for a lovely Thai meal, I can’t recommend the food enough and Toby behind the bar was very friendly and took the time to make sure we had everything we need

Smashing Thai food, thank you so much! Lovely Thai nibbles and a cracking tom yum soup. My boyfriend had a pork basil gravy dish, which was heaven. Pints were toppers also.

Food is disgusting! We had bangers and mash. Mash potatoes was from powder and badly mixed, horrible lumps everywhere and slushy. I never had such an awful mash in my life. Everything was in a bath of gravy. Better say it was gravy soup with powder mash. Very simple dish completely ruined

Large roast dinner with a choice of meats & vegetables. Pork with apple sauce, lamb with mint sauce. All very tasty although gravy was thin. Good beers.

Very disappointed in the carvery last Sunday. While the meat was tasty the gravy was thin and Yorkshire pudding inedible, parsnips undercooked with rubbery non existent crackling. . The Swan was my go to for the best local Sunday roast but not any more. The catering staff may do excellent Thai food but don’t quite understand what is required in a proper Sunday roast.

Stayed here for 3 nights due to a conference in the neighbourhood. Room was clean and the bathroom was great. The first night it was the weekly returning quiz night, and we were delighted to join. We enjoyed it really and did not even end up in last place. The food is good, especcially the curry and the fried duck. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only the breakfast could be better. 4/5 stars. Definitely will come back once I need to be there again. Thanks!

It's been a quite a while since visiting this lovely pub near the Thames. Unfortunately, I won't be in a hurry to go back. The service was truly awful. Whatever the problem, the first person behind the bar was cantankerous and was in a hurry to end her shift. The next person obviously had a few personal issues and was hardly a picture of happiness. Overall the service was so slow I could've popped over to the Castle over the road had a pint and would still have been waiting to be served. I give it two stars because the Thai food we had was nice, served quickly by a nice lady. The night was a reunion of sorts. Sadly won't go back for another long while, if ever again.

We had a fantastic Tai meal, served by a lovely member of staff.

We stayed here a few weeks ago as my Daughter had to catch a flight early the next day. My first thoughts were the noticeably crisp white linen sheets and the effort put in to the cleanliness of our room.. 2 x single, 1 x double bed in one room. My Wife and Son will be getting another early flight on Mon so I'm hoping to book us in for tomorrow night. There's also a fantastic Chinese take away just around the corner. Looking forward to it 😊

Sunday roast with all the trimmings for a tenner, big portions very tasty highly recommended

Excellent place to stay. Impeccably clean all over and nice smells in the rooms. The shared bathroom on the top floor was in top condition and no signs of any mold or mistreatment. The Thai food was fairly priced and excellent in quality. Very impressed overall. Note: Slightly rickety beds, and various knocking sounds can be heard through the floors/walls. Also airplanes fly in and out of heathrow near here.

Clean rooms. I didn't see them have air conditioners. Smiling, responsive and correct staff. The place is quiet, peaceful and there is not much traffic.

Only went there for the Thai food, the green curry was average, the ribs were dry and very small and the chicken wings must of been taken off a chick instead of a chicken very small and tastless ...

Nice pub garden and great priced beers

Stayed here for the Varsity match at Twickenham. Very comfortable and affordable. I definitely recommend.
