£8 service, overpriced, burnt food, egg shells in food, For 3 people it was £75!

Overcharged us for mediocre food, terrible service. Never again!

We had a lovely afternoon at the Marina Lock on Saturday. We arrived at 5.15 and were offered the lunch and dinner menu but were not told that the dinner menu which began at 6.00 was half price. We ordered a burger for my daughter from the lunch menu which was well seasoned. The chips were also tasty. We had a couple of cocktails which were nice. My partner and I shared a mixed grill for 2 from the evening menu and a garlic nan. We had to ask a couple of times for water and the bill which eventually was sorted. The atmosphere was good with a nice mix of music and we sat outside near the canal. We will definately be back another day to try some more items on the evening menu!

Came here for breakfast as F&H was full; not a good decision unfortunately. Nice location and friendly & helpful waitresses but waited over 30 minutes for breakfast to arrive and there were only 3 other customers there. Everything deep fried and swimming in oil - and deep fried frozen sausages was not what I was expecting. Poor quality ingredients. Very disappointing.

A piece of plastic was found in my food as well as my friend's. There was no apology from the manager nor any offer was made. It was left to the young waiter to apologise on behalf of the management.

Great location but unexperienced waitress ( removed plates withaut asking if we finished ).Dirty cutlery, asked for new ones ,waitress brought new set dirty again.Starter very spicy ,no information on the menue ,waitress not aware either .Empty flower pots around ,would be nicer with flowers during August.

Great food, good value for money, and outstanding service. Will visit again soon.

What a fantastic spot by the water. They offer delicious mixed grills and flavorful curry. The cocktails are refreshing, and the staff is friendly. With beautiful river views and a relaxed atmosphere, it's perfect for a casual meal or drinks with friends. Will definitely come back

We had a very disappointed experience at Marina Lock on Sunday 28 July 2024. My friends invited us to this relaunched restaurant (previously known as Time) - but everything what could go wrong - did go wrong! The waitress had no training at all, (not her fault), but why would the owners open restaurant with a staff who has not clue about the menu or customer service? We ordered a round of hot drinks, beer and water for the table which took ages to arrive... (they had to come back and ask us three times). We still did not get the water (it is a hard task). Considering that the restaurant was not busy (we came at 12:45) it was unacceptable to seat there and see how disorganised and careless this place was. Maybe this was a bad day for them - but we decided to leave and spend our money elsewhere. I would not recommend this place... Thankfully there are no shortage of the competitors' outlets in this area.

Wow what a spectacular venue and location.. location is everything and they have it, on the water with outside undercover seating, everything from the front of the building to once you walk inside to this rather elegant white setting,u would almost feel bad if you just went in for a cocktail. I believe it new owners or they changing names now but if you looking for some good wholesome Indian cuisine then defined make a stop.. not your typical Indian restaurant where you like to go and get portions of everything but food is good.. Vegetarian friendly if they have available at the time you go in. I would definitely want to go there when it's buzzing more to see it all come together. Great potential. Staff friendly

I rang up and booked brunch for a Saturday late morning. When I arrived the restaurant was having renovations. So despite me booking only a week before and leaving my phone number this restaurant somehow forgot they were having renovarions/ could not be bothered to call and tell me they could now not accommodate. Good news was the lovely place diagonally opposite (Feature and Heart) had a spare table and an amasing breakfast. I'd recommend going there!!!

We Went there for the “happy hours”, we all had couple of drinks under the offer 2x1. We have been served after 45 min literally juices. After that, I have decided to order a Gin&tonic (confident about the fact that it is impossible to make it wrong) and of course I have received my drink already mixed and there was no gin at all, was literally tonic with lemon. Guys avoid at any cost. Never again

Chloe was a great host she was lovely, you can tell she’s really into what she does we love it here it’s nice it’s good, but the only thing was the chips we love the fries!!! pls bring them back and the truffle too Xx

We went to a private function. Staff very accommodating. atmosphere amazing . Beautiful venue. Have had cooked breakfast there before, quality food. Most importantly Cocktails amazing.

It was my friends birthday here last night and somehow upon arriving in fancy dress (70s night) I was told by a rather snobby and rude barmaid I was not to be served. I asked why, was told the owner (or, whoever…) told her not to serve me. So then they both were rude to me and argued with me and he shouted at me rudely!!! By the way, I was not drunk, I’d had one pint. They refused to give me an explanation when I repeatedly asked for one and were instead arrogant and disdainful. I decided to go, anyway, went to Ealing and had a much nicer evening there anyway and made some friends. DO NOT GO HERE: my advice.

They have the best coffee espresso in the Brentford area. I am fussy about taste of the coffee and strength at the same time. I always love to go there to get my little coffee treat.

I won't be returning to this bar. I have been twice in the past few months and have been disappointed on both occasions. The first time I went, we barely received a service. There was a private baby shower being held, and we, as paying customers, were totally forgotten about. We had to keep calling the staff as they acted as though we were not there. Also, they had no ketchup. Burgers chips, etc, on the menu with no sauce to go with it. I ordered calamari and prawns. Dont waste your money for the small amount that you get. The drinks were nice but i was annoyed at the food. I'm not sure if they had desserts. We were never offered that menu.The second time I went was for a private party. A memorial for the death of a cousin. I went to pay for my drinks with cash and was told there was no change and that they couldn't get me any. I didn't have my card with me that day, so cash was all I had. Again, terrible customer service. I was told that people don't pay with cash anymore. They obviously do. They had a till that held cash. They just hadn't bothered to make sure there was enough change, so they made excuses. I was told they had no change because of the busy day before I'm sorry, but it's a new day! Plus it was the evening.Covid was also brought up. I was told that they discouraged the use of cash, but there was no sign and nothing on the website. I was very shocked at how both members of staff I spoke to about it tried their best to not let me get a word in edge ways. They both spoke over me and interrupted me. I was appalled at the customer service and the not bothered demeanour of staff. The person in charge was called Carl. He reinforced his staffs approach. Considering I was there for the death of a family member, I'd expect more consideration.

ASTONISHINGLY bad nachos. Hilariously bad. I didn’t know nachos could be this bad. It looks like one big disc of cheese was melted slightly over puffy chips. The cheese feels like plastic and pulls like a super starchy cheese pizza (never a good sign)! Slight pepper flavor but nachos at all. I’ve had better nachos at sports food stands for half the price. Update it’s less warm now and I’ve taken to cutting the cheese with scissors to get it into smaller (very solid) pieces.

I went here 2 years ago very good value for money now gone up near double, I think I'll go to Greggs 2.60 cappuccino and Bacon roll dose the job ..staff don't really ask if everything is ok.

The venue is lovely! Lovely place to spend if day drinking or evening drunk. Food is nice too. Make sure to get there between 1800 - 2000 for 2-for-1 cocktails.

I came last week Saturday for a quick bite to eat before meeting with my girlfriend and was very impressed! Good food and great service from Chantelle she was smiling and very helpful whole visit I would definitely recommend to a friend or colleague. Will definitely be back!

I booked this restaurant for our family Sunday lunch, as it came highly recommended on The Fork. I was so looking forward to the meal as it had high ratings. But unfortunately, our experience was far from all the high ratings. As soon as we entered the restaurant, they were still sweeping the floor, and we were asked if we had a booking, as if the entire restaurant was fully booked. Except that it wasn’t. There was only 1 table of 2 there. Also, we found broken glass under our table, and the soles of my shoes were sticky as we left the restaurant (probably from the spilled drink that wasn’t cleaned). Our booking was for 13:00, but we were offered the breakfast menu. When I asked for the lunch menu, the waitress said she wasn’t sure if it was available. Then another staff member said that we could have the lunch menu. Now, who wouldn't serve the lunch menu at 13:00? So weird. From the “all-day dining" menu, my girls & I were so looking forward to having the steak, as it sounded delicious and also that was the only thing my daughter’s liked from their menu. Upon ordering, we were informed that they didn’t have the steak. How disappointing! My husband ordered a starter of prawns and calamari, and we’ve never been served a dish with just about 4 prawns & 2 calamari rings. The waitress who served us was pleasant, and the drinks were good. Apart from that, nothing was great. So, I would not recommend it and we are not going back. _______________________________________________________________ P.S. This is in reply to the restaurant's reply to my comment: The restaurant wasn't busy at all - No one had ordered steak before us, as we were the 1st people to place orders + there were 2 tables who arrived after us... I accept your apology in regards to the cleanliness. In terms of the 50% off - it wasn't given to us because of the inconvenience. It was given to us because we booked it through 'The Fork' with 50% off offer. Thank you for replying back though.

We enjoyed the ambience and aesthetic of the restaurant but were disappointed too in some ways. First, the menu at the website wasn't the menu we were provided at lunchtime. It was much limited, and even within that, some key items like the steak were missing. We could practically order only sides or burgers. We got the wings, which tasted like a regular fast food joint wings. Cheap and deep fried. Other side items were good. The drinks were really tasty, and well made. we loved those. We might back there again but only for the drinks. Part of the experience was also tainted by a large kid's birthday party that was being hosted. The server even said that orders would be delayed due to that large event even though we had booked our reservation in advance. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a family restaurant but if a place is advertised as a bar with a waterside ambience like this, i generally do not expect it to be full of kids in superhero costumes running around and shouting. Hard-pressed between 3 and 4 stars. But disappointed food (options) makes me round it down

Great place for lunch or a relaxed coffee and snacks with friends or just by yourself. Owner and chef both dedicated to providing good food and good service. I had the quinoa and beetroot veggie burger and it was light and flavourful. The interior is quite quaint and tastefully done. The location was a pleasant surprise as, even though it’s August off the main road, it actually backs onto Brentford lock and so has views to the water and a lovely bridge over the lock with an open space, contrasting with the busy road on the other side.

Made a booking for my wife’s birthday celebration booking all confirmed when we arrived. Venue was closed. Avoid avoid avoid.

Second time at Time today with friends for a birthday celebration. First time having the food. I had the Chicken Burger and it was delicious. The cocktails we had were amazing aswell. While we were there the staff were so friendly, the place is so elegantly decorated, the atmosphere is amazing and it is just a great place to go for a lovely evening out with friends. Chantal really looked after us and the manager made the birthday girl feel really special. I would highly recommend for food, cocktails and atmosphere for a great night. Thank you.

Yet again best full English breakfast ever, and trust me I've tried plenty. Quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Service great nothing too much trouble, check out the tap water with slices of fresh fruit. Quality touch 😊👍

Went for happy hour, had some really nice cocktails, place was clean, staff were friendly . I dont like the fact that you can only so table service and one of the Male staff kept coming round picking up our drinks when they were not finished and even one was full.

Some bistros fail to deliver, but Time does the business. Our reviewer had an early evening meal, catching the setting sun on the veranda after a warm October day. Time delivered in every way. The Haloumi starter was beautifully presented, freshly prepared, and in a mango sauce which worked well. The chicken burger main was exceptional, especially as our request for a small salad on the plare was met without any concern. Everything was cooked to perfection and was super tasty. We took the Red Rioja Crianza wine, perfectly o at room temperature, in a pristinely clean glass... even our request for a glass of tap water excelled, served with raspberries, blueberries and lemon... in a lead crystal tumbler. Service was top notch. Sarina cannot be more than 18 years old, but she took the order without writing it down, was polite, prompt and deserved her tip. Pelican Reviews are delighted to award Time Bistro-Bar with 5-Stars.

It was my second time here and the cocktails were amazing! Great location and very friendly staff. Also spoke to the owner who seems like a very nice guy. Was surprised to hear that they have been there for 12 years and I only discovered them now! Definitely a hidden gem in the Isleworth, Brentford, Osterley area. Will be back again soon!

Real GEM this one! Went there with me lady. From the interior/exterior, to the exquisite drinks and fantastic food, final top up with super manager "Chris" shout out the him. Absolute legend. This place is fantastic. How they manage to get such rich flavors to pair up and mingle between our plates of topas is well beyond me. The drinks are unique and hand-crafted works of art. The location is perfect. Nice and quick service. Food is ok, could be better. Chicken burger with chips is £14.50 bit pricey, and could be a bit more interesting.

Great bar with amazing staff & food! Not sure how to express how much I appreciated being treated like a long lost friend, after not being here for a few months. As an aside, the beer is excellent, food is great, and according to my wife, the cocktails are very, very good

A perfect venue for celebrating a special occasion - we hosted our daughter’s first birthday party there. Chris, the manager, was very helpful starting from planning the party to looking after us on the day. Beautiful decor inside, delicious food and very friendly staff. My Wife organised my 40th Birthday at this super venue last week. All I can say is what a great place with super staff. YASER the owner and Chris the manager were phenomenal throughout, from sorting out the lovely food to serving great cocktails and drinks. Thank you guys for making my 40th birthday a memorable one.

The perfect brunch spot that serves gorgeous food and the best Bloody Mary in Brentford! Service always happy and attentive and our little dog Frankie always gets super spoilt too! Highly recommend!
