Our recent visit to Gurkha Durbar, accompanied by my family, was an absolute delight from start to finish. Nestled in Feltham Station, this charming Nepalese restaurant offers a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality, thanks to the exemplary service provided by Sandip. His welcoming demeanor and attentive approach towards my parents, husband and my daughter immediately made us feel at home, setting the tone for a memorable evening ahead. Highlights of our meal included and the true star of the evening was Sausage, Pork Steam Momo, Chicken Jhol Momo, Chowmein, Chicken Lolipop, Bhutan, Chicken Chyolea, bursting with flavor and tenderly cooked to perfection, rich, aromatic, and utterly satisfying where reasonable prices meet Generous Portions. Throughout the evening, Sandip ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection, seamlessly attending to every need and going above and beyond to ensure my utmost satisfaction. His genuine warmth and professionalism are a true asset to Gurkha Durbar, elevating the dining experience to new heights. He is the most dedicating staff ever I've seen. The way he was praising his workplace and describing about all the services provided by restaurant including catering, decoration shows his love and dedication for his workplace. Somewhere in Nepal, I've heard one sayings, "kaam garne thau vaneko mandir ho" and this guy proved this today. With its delectable cuisine, welcoming atmosphere, and impeccable hospitality, Gurkha Durbar has undoubtedly earned its place as a must-visit destination for lovers of Nepalese cuisine. We had an amazing experience. Staff Sandeep provided excellent service, and the Nepali dishes, especially the momo, sukute chatpate, bhutan, nepali khana set and nepali khaja set truly captured the authentic taste of Nepal. The friendly atmosphere added to our enjoyment. The manager was very accommodating, allowing us to play the guitar and join in the fun, making our moments even more memorable. Highly recommended.

If you’re looking for get together or family dinner with reasonable prices and portions, I would highly recommend the restaurant.However, let the staff know about your spice level cause if you don’t ask it you don’t get it 😉

The taste was tipically authentic Nepalese. I tried Jhol Momo (soup Momo) here. The food quality was good. Service is also very good. The atmosphere was pleasant with lots of Nepalese souvenirs and painting around the walls. If you like to have Nepalese food you should definitely try the food here. Value for money.

I tried every Nepalese Restaurant so far, but this restaurant food stands tall than other. Everything was lovely and so flavourful. Shout out to the entire team for the amazing service and a food that was out of the world. 🫡😎

Panipuri - 5/5 Steam Chicken/Pork Mo:Mo: - 4.8/5 Chilli Chicken Mo:Mo: (Fried) - 4.8/5 Chicken Sausage - 4/5 (would have rated it 4.5/5 if it was deep fried; additionally, sausage coated with oily spices could take the taste to the next level) Pork Jheer - 3/5 (It was over-cooked (fried) resulting in losing the juice from the meat which made the meat crunchy) Chicken Choyela - 0/5 (Sadly the rating is 0 as I would name it fried boneless chicken instead of choyela, it tasted nowhere near 0.01% of choyela) Sweet Lassi - 4.5/5 (Toppings with smaller pieces of cashew or raisin or khuwa would make it 5/5) Mango Juice - 5/5 Milk Coffee - 3/5

The best place to eat in Feltham

Honestly was one of my favourite resteraunts last year however tonight we had the same order and it was terrible . The service is outstanding but under staffed . I ordered lamb momos as a starter and it had bone in it and was mushy I asked if they are sure it's lamb and not chicken as it was white in the middle bd they reassured me it was however I sent it back. The chicken in the masalla was rubbery and tough . Since leaving an hour ago I've been sick 3 times. Sorry gurkha but you need your old chef back the ingredients where really poor I'd rather pay extra then eat poor quality food. Such a shame as I said it was my favourite .

Ordered food when we entered starters came only 2 of the main courses arrived when challenged they said they missed one of the orders off only 3 of us dining ! When it arrived it was not what we ordered Both of the front of house staff didn't really care As a curry club GB member it's not what's expected

I have a mixed experience, service was very good, but the food was not finger licking delicious. Although I ordered spicy but still the seasoning was less. Restaurant was clean and staff was very nice and cooperative. Overall if you are not looking very spicy tandoori dishes, this is place for you.

I ordered chicken jalfrezi and it wasn’t edible at all. It was extremely spicy, that we couldn’t even eat it. We are used to eating spicy food, but this was just not edible. It was like tasting chilli powder. I am really disappointed.

This review is 6 months old as i have catching up to do. This is a great restaurant food is good and so are the owners. Its o e of the better indian restaurants in the neighbourhood. Would have lived to try the biryani but ran out of time

Pathetic food . Ordered their recommended food last night . Horrible currys and the restaurant gave a response that they were quite busy so the food wasn't good. Its not my fault not like I got a discount on the food I paid the same amount. Please avoid.

Amazing client service To truly welcome you and make you feel like family, they go above and beyond! Excellent food; really recommend the fried monos! The lamb was delicate and soft. The Gurkha Durbar is on my list of restaurants with delicious food at reasonable prices—and don't get me started on the generous serving sizes! If I could, I'd give these gentlemen a 10 out of 10 rating.

We hired catering service for our son`s birthday. Food was really delicious, with variety items and reasonable price. Staff were very helpful and professional. We highly recommend this restaurant for any events.

I was working all day so fought I get a delivery it was a bad decision its the worst meal I've had . Slimy and stale food. I went for the chef's recommendations worst thing I ever done. Definitely wouldn't recommend go somewhere else if you want a decent meal

Nestled behind the Feltham Railway station, Gurkha Durbar is a hidden gem. It avoids all the hustle & bustle of the high street and creates a serene atmosphere. Food is authentic Nepalese with Indian dishes too. I love their Chatpate, Pangra, Momos etc., In short everything. Whether you feel lazy to cook dinner, have a night out with friends; I can highly recommend Gurkha Durbar. The staff and the management are friendly and we have created a friendship along the way. Never occured to me, I should leave a review online lol. The price is reasonable and draught beer available. What more can you ask ?!

Will not use again....as on more than one occasion they have got our order wrong.....then blame us. Sorry, but I will take my business else where

Great value for money, tasty food and amazing customer experience. My wife has gluten allergies so we have to be very careful about what we order, and the options become quite limited wherever we go. The chef was very thorough and came to the table to discuss the options. We ended up getting the vegetable biryani. For myself, I had the crispy fried vegetable momos (not gluten free by the way). They were spicy and delicious. Came with a sour cream sauce and a kind of sweet chilly sauce. One thing I would highly suggest is to have halal chicken options. There are a lot of Muslims in the area and we would love to support local businesses, but the options here are quite limited as we can only have the veg stuff. Would be nice to be able to eat the chicken dishes if they were halal. Overall very reasonably priced and tasty, could do with more halal and gluten free options.

Three star because i loved the chatpate especially the sukuti... so soft and chewy and we got 1 free papad. But the lamb chowmein smelt off.. taste bland.. chef thing was also not special

Been ordering from their for years. I would usually say its fantastic but the last few times I had to count how many pieces of lamb they put in my madras. it was down to 5. pretty bad considering that everything else in the dish is sauce an a solitary quarter potato. My wife wanted a rogan josh but was told they do not serve that dish anymore and so asked for something similar, the food was so hot she couldn't eat it. they sent us a jalfrezi the hottest curry on the menu. extremely disappointed and will not order from them again.

Fantastic customer service. They go above and beyond to make you feel really welcome, like family! Food tastes awesome highly recommend the fried monos! Lamb was soft and tender. The Gurkha Durbar is on my list of great tasting food at a good price and I must not forget the good size portions! I would give these guys a 10 star, 5 stars is not enough!

First time trying Gurkha and wow what a surprise! Very generous portions, a great price but most importantly taste divine. To top it off the staff are super friendly and polite so a 5* experience all round - will be back!

Firstly apologies for taking a year to review! I was down on business a year ago and found this place by accident, and I am so glad I did! I had served alongside Gurkhas in Brunei for 7 years and had spent many happy hours socialising and eating with them back at Tuker Lines, their battalion home. The food was amazing and I guess would be classed as street food. Anyway, I walked through the door of the Gurkha Durbar and was hit with that familiar smell. I was home again! The Momos were amazing and just how I remembered them. The Mula Khasi was to die for, and a dish I had not been able to find in the UK. But the best of all, the Newari style Khaja platter. It reminded me so much of living and eating with the Gurkhas. Talking to the staff I found out that one of them had been born in Brunei at the army camp and his father had served in the regiment I had worked alongside. Anyway, back to the food. It really was the most authentic Nepalese food I have found in the UK and it was wonderful. Highly recommended, so much so that during my 10 days in London I ate there 5 or 6 times. Visited the restaurant with my daughter and wife, Starters are my favourite here specially Tareko chicken, Chicken Lollipop and Veg Momos. In main course I loved egg fried rice Fish curry and Lamb Biryani. Restaurant was packed with families dining in but service was top notch, Sanju and Raj are a very friendly staff. We also got eat out to help out scheme 50% discount aswell. So overall one of the best experiences I had here and will never hesitate to visit very soon. Thanks 🙏 Shiva

Consistently delicious food. We’ve only ever had takeaways but it’s always a great treat. Lamb madras is a highlight, but also the Nepalese specialities. Can’t wait for it to reopen.

Been to the Gurkha Durbar on numerous occasions when visiting Twickenham / staying in Feltham, and the reason we do is because it never fails to impress. Unpretentious, but brilliant. Service, attentive and with a smile. Food, quite simply one of the best Nepalese I have ever tasted. Value for money, excellent. Momos are a must to kick things off, and my recommendation from the mains would be Lamb Gurkhali (Chicken version is also good) with a delicious side of Saag Paneer. However, we have tried the menu extensively and not found anything yet that we would not try again. Thanks for the perfect end to the perfect day out at Twickenham, and i/we will be back.

We decided to stop by whilst staying at a local hotel for a short visit. The restaurant was small, but perfect for the size. A traditional family run business! The manager served us personally and asked our tastes, before recommending some traditional Nepalese dishes. Service was fast, and the food arrived hot and was gorgeous. Not only was it amazingly tasty with some great flavours but it was huge in size. Too much for us to finish really. Beer was also great and had a good choice of Nepal beers along side some more traditional Indian beers. Value was also good, with us having popadoms, 4 beers, 2 starters, 2 mains, rice and bread all coming to about £50 total. Which is good value for the amount of food we had in this area. Overall a thoroughly great experience and can’t recommend it enough.

I visited Gurkha Durbar whilst staying in Feltham on business. The restaurant was fairly quiet (Monday night) with only two other tables so I was seated straight away. I ordered vegetarian momo, followed by the vegetable Nepali khana with a side of naan bread. The momo were served quickly and were delicious, with a generous portion of 5 dumplings served alongside spicy dipping sauces. The khana again was a very tasty combination of two curries (a vegetable curry and a daal) served with plenty of rice, papadam, salad and pickles. With a naan on the side it was more than I could finish and I left very full having spent less than £20 including a large beer on the side. Service was friendly and relaxed, with just one waiter doing well to manage the restaurant on his own. Genuinely one of the best curries I’ve ever had!

OMG WOW! Our first time ordering this evening fantastic customer service on the phone very polite, food came before expected delivery time..... Thought this was too good to be true...... Then the food was so amazing the flavours, portion sizes, no grease what so ever, thank you ever so much to all the staff for an amazing evening dinner!

Unexpectedly impressed by this little restaurant close to Feltham station. Surprisingly empty at the time of visit (6.15pm), greeted with a friendly smile and served equally well during the course of the meal. Good quantity of choice on the menu without overwhelming. Tasty starters and mains. Not expensive at all!

Last time i visit this place was few month ago. Was nice! Momo was avarage good Noodles was really tasty! Nice dip! I really don't like when i do delivery from this place! The food is totally different! Look not fresh at all! Please take care of this too!

Been looking for a great Korma for a time and have finally found one. Ordered food for delivery was delivered in the time advised, food was hot and delicious, this will be our go to place for a Korma from now on.

My partner and I ate here as a very last minute late night decision, and absolutely did not regret it!The staff gave us a friendly and warm welcome and were happy to give suggestions when asked. The food arrived quickly and was very nicely presented in great potion sizes. Neither of us could fault the food, it was delicious and a very high quality, and the service remained brilliant throughout. I’d definitely recommend Gurkha Durbar, and I look forward to visiting again next time we’re in the area.

i visited few days ago with a friend of mine and the waiting staffs were really friendly and helpful. they helped us with the order as we were really craving for spicy nepalese food. overall wonderful experience and lovely ambiance, great food and drinks option and lastly the staffs are an asset to this place.

Nice and cosy place for a family dinner. Has a varied menu. Traditional curries as well as authentic Nepalese cuisine. Owner/manager was very hospitable and went out of his way to see that our kid enjoyed his meal. Many thanks for that ! Will definitely visit again.

I have been away from Feltham for a long time, but visited my God-mother who still lives "in the house next door". We decided to to out for a meal and I found this place by a google search. It looked interesting so we gave it a go. WOW, we were definitely not disappointed. The flavours are amazing and probably the best I've tasted in the UK.Don't rush this experience. The relaxed atmosphere and staff make for a most enjoyable evening.
